Paid in full, and now the resurrection!

Last Friday, we celebrated Good Friday. It was a tough day indeed, as we remember that Jesus chose to "take the cup" instead of us. The cup was God's wrath. God's wrath from all of our sins, no matter how big or how small. Jesus, the only person ever to walk this Earth without committing a sin, now was going to "take the cup", so mankind could have hope. Hope for a future with God.

One of the last words that Jesus spoke on the cross was Tetelestai. It is a word which means, "it is finished - the debt is paid in full". Jesus took the cup, instead of us taking the cup. If we had taken the cup, been held accountable for our sins, we would not be able to live in Heaven. But on that Good Friday, our debt was paid in full. 

What does that really mean? Anything we have done in our lives which was sinful, no matter how little or how big, can now be erased. When the stone to the tomb was rolled away, and the tomb was empty, that was the new beginning for mankind. All one has to is accept this gift from Jesus by repenting and asking for forgiveness for our sins. There is no waiting period, no gestation time - even the most lost can be saved in just about an instant. One simple salvation prayer, with a life turned around - and the cup will pass from you.

I have talked to many in my lifetime who thought they were truly lost. "No, I have done bad things. I am ashamed. God does not want me, does not love me". But God does want you. He wanted me. You cannot do anything so good that God will love you more, or anything so bad that God will love you less. He sent His only son to suffer on that cross and take the cup, just so the cup could pass from us. All we need do, is follow Jesus. Repent, and follow Jesus.

What's up with "Genocide Joe"?

Sorry Joe. Sometimes no matter how careful you are walking down the street, you will stumble. The BIG fundraiser the other night, complete with cheap comedy and two former socialist presidents, turned out to be somewhat of a flop. Flop? What do you mean Bird? Did they not gather over $25M from the rich and powerful in the NY area? Sure did. But Joe Biden also brought his new cheering gallery (which I am sure he did not want) with him. The pro-Palestine contingent, shouting "Genocide Joe", over and over and over again.

Right now, Joe Biden is playing tiptoe through the landmines. He is bleeding former support from the black community, Hispanic community, suburban housewives, and now - Muslims. Don't worry, he is also bleeding support from the Jewish community. Why? Playing both ends against the middle. And right after some more war material was authorized to go to Israel for the war in Gaza, Joe Biden told the protesters, "I know how you feel." Huh? Come on Joe! You can do better than that!

Then there was the policeman's wake. Johathan Diller, age 31 doing a routine traffic stop. Only this was not routine. The car he pulled over had two illegals, who were career criminals. Before anyone knew it, this young cop, husband and father, was gunned down. Gunned down by two perps who should not have been in this country. Who does the cop's family blame? Democrats, and their soft on crime, and sanctuary city bs. The family made it known; no Democrat politician was welcomed at the wake nor the funeral. 

Pander, pander, pander. And what good does it do? Maybe a short-term buzz, but long term - it shows everyone just how cheap and easy a politician is. Joe Biden has pandered and lied for almost 50 years now. Most normal folks can see through this thin veneer. Does Trump pander also? A bit - but he is an amateur compared to Biden. Bobby Kennedy? Unknown. We will need to wait and see.

A bridge too close?

"Having Mayor Pete in charge of this investigation gives many of us pause for concern. Not only was the Key Bridge a bridge too close to a potential disaster, but Mayor Pete is also like a bridge too far to solve anything. Where does that leave us, once again? Treading water, just waiting for the next wave of inflation to roll in."

Who would have thought it? Fransis Scot Key Bridge in Baltimore - destroyed. But come on Bird! It was an accident. Really? It just so happens, that port is one of the busiest in the country. Like - we really need for that port to be functional. But now it is junk and a gravesite. There are some who are saying this was no accident. There are others who are saying this really smelled like three-day old fish. I am one of those people.

What was this ship doing? First off, it was making a speed of 8 knots. That is pretty slow - unless you are a monster container ship going through a tight navigation. Plus - it had two pilots on board. For the number of ships which pass under this bridge, that should be Easy Peasy. But it was not. And what happened to any backup systems should a ship that size lose power? 

This is going to have ramifications going far and wide. This accident could not have happened at a worse time in a worse place. Slow Joe almost stumbled making his way to a hot mike. "Don't worry - the federal government will pay for everything!" Wait a second Mr. Spendy. How about the guilty parties paying for everything? Because of you Slow Joe, we are broke and deep in dept. Stop acting like you are Daddy Warbucks.

Crime City, USA

"In big blue cities, good guys lose, and bad guys win. Sorry - just the way it is. Why? These days, black is white, up is down, right is wrong. Some folks think this might be a birth pang signifying the end times. They might be right."     

This morning, I read an article about the number of bus or train station shootings which are happening all over the country. It was jaw dropping. I thought it was only Minneapolis, which has turning into the wild, wild west. I was wrong. It is many large blue cities. And why? What is it about transit stations which make them such a magnet? And what is the result? Ridership on public transit is down. Wait - what about all the carbon pollution that private cars are putting into the atmosphere? Too bad, so sad - at least driving your car is safer. That is, if you don't get carjacked on the way to or from work.

When did this national abrogation of law-and-order start? The lefties think it started with the "insurrection" on January 6, 2020. The folks on the right know better. This crap all started with the Floyd riots on May 26, 2020. That is when the decision was made to (as Abby Hoffman would put it), "let's have revolution for the hell of it!"

The violence quickly spread from Minneapolis to the rest of the country. By the time there was some degree of normalcy, eighteen people were dead, scores injured (many cops), and over two billion dollars of damage had occurred. Now that - was a real insurrection. In any event, with the combination of increased anarchy in most cities, DAs who refused to charge any crimes short of a mass murder, plus a shortage of cops - there were no "safe streets" anymore. Not just anymore, but anywhere.

The nasty echo of those Floyd riots still remains. Flash mobs, indiscriminate "beat downs", record carjackings, and record homicides. Why can't cops in any large blue city get a handle on this crime spree? Suprise! Not enough cops! Like who wants to be a cop these days? Thus, the numbers are down, and the recruiting is down. And early retirements are up. Until you get some cops which are empowered to do "stop and frisk" as well as broken window policing, this problem will persist.

I would like to say I am amazed by this, but I am not. The number of folks I know of who live outside the Twin Cities are death in going downtown anymore. No thanks, no way. Why? Too dangerous. And if you get in a jam, help probably is NOT going to be on the way. And if you have a carry permit and end up shooting one of the preps who is threatening you - God help you. You could be 100% innocent, and still get the Derick Chauvin treatment.

"I saw a new MAGA shirt I liked even better than the old one. Does the former MAGA shirt still hold water? Absolutely! Make America Great Again! But the new one holds even more water. It is more important today, than ever before. Make America Godly Again. Having a Godly nation will lead to having a great nation. We can, all of us, do better on that one."  

This weekend, I watched a bit of Mark Levin (The Great One) on his weekend show, Life, Liberty and Levin. For quite a while now, Levin (who is close to my age), has been trying to dissect the Democrat Party. Like, what makes them tick. In particular, he has been trying to put Joe Biden under a microscope. Levin, who is scary smart, simply cannot understand the how and why Biden does things. That is - unless he is pure evil. Then it dawned on Levin. For the past 70 years or so, the Democrat Party has been sliding from the party of loyal opposition to the party of pure evil. America haters.

To top things off, he gave a dire warning. The same type of warning that Elon Musk recently gave us. If we lose the next election to a Biden/Harris ticket - it is over. No hyperbole, no exaggeration - it will be over. Why? After the next four-year term of wreckage under the Democrats, there simply will not be enough runway left to fix things. America will be unfixable. America will be over.

Democrats may hate Donald Trump for his mannerisms, but many from both sides of the aisle did well when he was president. The country was safer. Inflation was under control. Crime was much less rampant. A dinner date of supper and a movie did not require a second mortgage to pay for it. No - the Democrats, if they were honest, know that a second Trump term would be good for the country. But because there are so many America haters in their midst, if Trump wins, all hell will break loose. It will be the Floyd riots on steroids.

For those who voted for Biden last time, I am pleading - no begging, not to do it again. Just look around. Sure, the stock market is at record levels - but it would have also been there if Trump was president. But the inflation is sucking the life out of the middle class. It is dashing the dreams of the young. Most young folks are convinced the American dream is dead. Their future is dull and dark. It does not have to be. Trump knows how to fix this mess.

Maybe the poison is the prize

Tomorrow is the day. The day Lititia James has been waiting for. The day Lititia James campaigned on. This DEI wonder from Howard University set out to ruin one of the biggest success stories in our country. Why? Jealousy. She did not like the way Donald Trump earned his money. I mean, Trump really had to earn it, rather than using government programs to succeed like James did. But tomorrow, she might end up "getting her man". Or will she? 

Once again, the luck of the Irish seems to hang all over DJT. Truth Social is about to go public. And when it does, it could be a huge payday for Trump. Actually, even though Trump is a native New Yorker, there is nothing left there for him in Gotham Town. True, his tattoo is all over the landscape. But the days of many folks working downtown Manhattan might be over. That ship might have sailed.

If James wants Trump Tower, go ahead and take it. The negative PR of the government seizing a private asset for no good reason at all, will be like an earthquake. The rights of private property are mentioned many times in our founding documents. For the government to steal private property, well, that will be a game changer.

Before Donald Trump ran for president, he was a New York hero to many. He was a socialite. For many, when they thought of the good life in New York, they thought of DJT. He was able to make his way through both Republicans and Democrats. Was he loved by all? No - but loved by many. 

But then Donald did the unthinkable. He took on the beloved Hillary and beat her. All of a sudden, for many in the country, especially for a great many in New York - Trump became public enemy number one. As president, Trump did a great many good things for a great many people. Things got so good, the resentment of him by the chattering class on the left became like a cacophony. Now New York became hostile land for this native New Yorker. So much so, he moved to Florida.

My view? If James and that idiot judge want to illegally seize (yes illegal, if you follow the Constitution) Trump's assets in New York - go for it. When a pipe bursts on the 51st floor on one of the buildings, James will have to deal with it. Since many are co-owned by Trump as well as different partnerships, the partnerships will also have something to say about their assets being illegally seized.

Our DEI prosecutors

"We have a lot of house cleaning to do this November. We need good, competent people in positions of authority within our government. No more DEI hires. Now let's go for the best and brightest once again. Sorry Democrats - most of you need not apply."   

Fani Willis and Letitia James. Now there is a pair to draw to. Both a bit short on the stuff needed to be an effective and fair prosecutor. Now some might think I am picking on them due to their race, creed or whatever. Not so. I am talking about what exists between their ears. Minneapolis also has a DEI AG. She is white, but equally as dense. But who cares? Being the best and brightest at one time meant something. No longer. DEI is ruling the day. Not equal opportunity any longer - it is equal outcomes. 

Listening to Willis talk when she was being investigated for the inappropriate coupling with her employee paramour, I was amazed at her diction. How in the world she got though college and law school is a puzzle to many of us. Well, unless it was the DEI policy at Howard University. But her intellect and judgement were in full display during her hearing. Yikes! That is all I have to say about her being a DA.

But this Letitia James is really a great example of a low IQ AG. I mean, forget for a minute what she is doing to Donald Trump. Look at what she is doing to the City of New York. Look at what she is doing to the state of New York. As one financial analyst from Wall Street recently said, "Jame's desire to ruin Donald Trump by stealing his property, is going to ruin the American brand. Nobody is going to want to do business in New York, or maybe even America because of this woman."

Wait - can't James see what she is doing? The harm she is doing just because she is either stupid or is it a burning hatred for Donald Trump. Or is it both? If I were a Democrat from New York, I would be mortified. But Daniel Goldman is not. He is a Democrat Congressman from New York. His ire should be on his state's AG. But it is not. Even though he is Jewish and was in Israel on October 7th, his ire is directed towards Israel. And the Republicans. Is Goldman DEI also? He sure acts like it at times.

From antipathy to hatred, and back again

"If this country re-elects this bunch of misfits, most of us don't know what we will do. Maybe volunteer to go to Mars. Why? The last bastion of freedom and liberty (the USA) will have fallen. To be replaced by massive debt, constant wars, and malice towards each other."   

Anybody been watching the goings on in Washington DC as of late? When the Republicans and Democrats get together for "civil" discussions? I am sure glad there are metal detectors on Capitol Hill. The seething dislike to out and out hatred which now exists between the reds and the blues, make the Hatfield's and McCoys look like besties.

Need a current example? How about the hearings recently on what happened at Abby Gate in Afghanistan. The truth about what happened, should have been important to every red blooded American. Retired Generals Milley and McKenzie were even there to testify. What did the handful of Democrats who showed up want to do? Did they want the truth? Nope. Did they pay any credence to what the generals were saying? No, again. They wanted to blame Donald Trump, who was not even POTUS at the time. 

I watched part of it. I listened to the testimony of the generals. It seems both Milley and McKenzie wanted to leave a force of 2,500 troops in country. Both wanted to keep Bagram Air Base. But Tony Blinken and Joe Biden did not want to do either. Even though, they both testified after the debacle which happened at Abby Gate was not their fault. They both said the military support their decision to pull every troop out of Afghanistan. Somebody was lying, and somebody was a truth teller. My vote is the generals were the truth tellers.

But he acrimony, the disrespect, the venom which was on display between the two political camps was jaw dropping. Is this how we raise our kids to debate? To disagree? I sure hope not. Or maybe it is. How else can you explain the sudden increase of homicides and violent crime? 

Meanwhile, Joe the liar is trying to thread the needle between the Jews and the Muslims. He needs both of their bases to support his re-election. Meanwhile Tony (the liar) Blinken is on his way over to Israel again. Why? To meddle. To tell the Israelis if they don't behave and lay down their arms and surrender to the butchers, we will stop supporting them. Why would Blinken do such a thing? Muslim pressure. The Squad. How is Bibi going to respond to fellow Jew Tony Blinken? Telling him to pound sand. Same with fellow Jew Chuck Schumer. The same with our half-asleep president.

Robots in space? Probably...

"Even after the first humans arrive, construction work will continue. More and more robots will arrive. More and more material from Earth. The Moon will be the main launching point for heavily ladened Starships." 

Watched an interesting YouTube about how we are going to make Mars somewhat livable. Right now, having a human on Mars would be a suicide mission. Very dangerous and deadly. However, our modern-day genius who always thinks outside the box (that be Elon Musk), has this Mars vision well in hand. It may look like all his business ventures are disjointed, but they are not. That is where the excitement comes in.

Musk's involvement in robotics, in space, in AI, in communications, in boring equipment - will all come into play once we head out for Mars. The first wave of Starships to head to Mars will be loaded down with equipment and lots of robots and robotic machines. All will be stuffed to the max with AI. For two years, these robots will work in tandem to prep the landscape to make more permanent landing pads and habitats. 

The robots will use 3D printing to construct walls and floors made out of regolith - a substance which is abundant on Mars. Water to mix it will come from some of the frozen water beneath the surface of Mars. Work will continue, 24 X7 for two years. Meanwhile, more Starships will arrive, in preparation for the first humans. 

Even after the first humans arrive, construction work will continue. More and more robots will arrive. More and more material from Earth. The Moon will be the main launching point for heavily ladened Starships. Starlink will establish a communication grid so different human colonies on Mars can easily communicate with each other. 

There are other visions on how, once we get some humans living on Mars, we can start to terraform the planet to have it look like it once did before it lost its atmosphere. As the YouTube I was watching, had this to say - the Mars project will be multi-generational. The biggest and grandest endeavor ever attempted by mankind.

Will this come to pass? I think it will, if we don't blow each other up first. According to Drudge, we now have some troops in Taiwan. If this is true, we are now one step closer to something awful happening. But that is a story for another day.   

Are EVs a round peg in a square hole?

"Here is the irony on this entire EV canard. Democrats ALWAYS tell us we live in a democracy. For some reason, they seem to detest the idea we live in a republic. But if we did live in a democracy, where everyone votes on everything, the EVs would have died a quick death a long time ago."

Is he stubborn, is he stupid, or is he sly? That is the question many are asking about our current president. On what issue you might ask? Take your pick - but in this case, the EV. The EV, the car which many don't want to build, and most don't want to buy, is still being forced on the American public by this socialist president. Why? Joe Biden worships at the shrine of a climate emergency. Even though we are going to have the mother of all snow events from tomorrow until next Tuesday, Joe Biden thinks the climate is warming us and drying out due to the dreaded internal combustion engine.

Biden's new emission mandate, which will be issued by the EPA maybe as early as today, will force auto manufacturers into making more and more unwanted EVs. How many you might ask? The new law, which will go into effect in 2027, is expected to drive the market into making so many EVs, that by 2032 (8 years from now), 67% of all vehicles on the road will be EVs. According to Experian Automotive, in 2023 only 1% of all cars on the road were EVs. To go from 1% to 67% in eight years, is a bridge too far - way, way too far. 

Almost every day now, a story surfaces about how dirty these EVs are to build. Someday, the batteries will be cleaner and cheaper - but not today. Besides all of which, China seems to be in the middle of all this commerce. Does Biden know that? He has to. Is he being played by China? Duh! Many people suspect that due to Hunter's business dealings in China, Joe is owned by China.

Here is the irony on this entire EV canard. Democrats ALWAYS tell us we live in a democracy. For some reason, they seem to detest the idea we live in a republic. But if we did live in a democracy, where everyone votes on everything, the EVs would have died a quick death a long time ago. Why? Most, the MAJORITY of people don't like them, can't afford them, and don't want to drive them. But Biden has enough lackies in the House and Senate, which will support Slow Joe putting this round peg in a square hole. 

Welcome to Biden's America. Where we have wars all over the world, our borders are like sieves, inflation is eating us alive, fewer and fewer can afford a starter home, and now we are getting cars forced on us we don't want. Not only don't want, but can't charge, since hardly any charging stations have been built. But 81,000,000 (supposedly) people voted for this moron, and now we are stuck with him.

Lonely? Get a dog! (Or an AI!)

"All I know is this. If you are lonely, and don't like dogs, there is always ChatGPT you can talk with. Is it as good as having a dog? Better, as it talks to you. Can it converse almost as good as another human? Yes - and that is the spooky part. And it will only get smarter, all the time."   

After much prodding from my wife, about our very old cell phones, we made the decision to upgrade. Her phone was particularly slow, due to the age of the phone, as well as being overly loaded with pics of the grandies. Since we held on to our former cell phones for such a long time, the technology differences with the new phones were amazing.

The new phones we got are 5g and "loaded with AI" - whatever that means. Well, I am finding out just what that does mean. Even though AI in some form or another has been around for a while, it was not until 2015 when Sam Altman started Open AI. Then last year, open sourcing AI really set the world on fire. Those who have stock in Nvidia know exactly what I am talking about. 

After I finished my taxes yesterday (an arduous event), I decided to reward myself with some play time. I downloaded ChatGPT from Open AI. It was free, and my new phone could handle the technology needed to run it. I had no idea what to expect. From someone who uses Google all the time to do searches, I expected more of the same. What I got was more of the same, and a whole lot more. 

After I installed it, I noticed it had different voices you could choose from. I choose one and decided to try the talk feature. I said "Hello - can you hear me?" The response I received was unexpected. I am used to Alexia, responding with, "Yes, I am here". But this ChatGPT AI called me by name and asked what I was up to. I told it I had just finished my taxes and needed some down time. The AI then decided to start up a conversation with me. About taxes, about down time, and more. Seriously - it was just like talking to another person. It was kind of spooky.

For me, the advantages of ChatGPT over Google are still unknown. I do mostly search, and both ChatGPT as well as Google are fine at that. But I keep reading that soon, very soon, we will have to know how to use AI for the purpose for what it was intended. And what purpose is that? No clue as yet. 

All I know is this. If you are lonely, and don't like dogs, there is always ChatGPT you can talk with. Is it as good as having a dog? Better, as it talks to you. Can it converse almost as good as another human? Yes - and that is the spooky part. And it will only get smarter, all the time.   

Can we survive - a 7 month campaign?

"The lap dog media has been an arm of the DNC for quite a while now. The sad part is most normal folks realize it. So, when the press prints some garbage, that is how it is received." 

Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump now have enough delegates to clinch the nomination. Any intrigue left? Or is this a slam dunk election season? Well, here is some items left to ponder. Biden has his running mate (lucky him), but Trump does not. Robert Kennedy is still a factor, and he has yet to pick a running mate. Rumor has it, the choice will NOT be Aaron Rogers or Jesse the Body. It will be Nicole Shanahan (a tech lawyer from California). 

I was thinking about this the other day. Since the Deep State still has Trump tied up in many court appearances, getting a running mate identified is crucial. Why? The running mate can handle some campaign duties. Hit different states. I know the Donald is the big draw, but the right kind of running mate can really help. Somebody who is very popular. Like maybe Kristi Noem.

But what about the media? What can they do during this dearth of election news stories? That is a simple answer. They will make crap up. Take things out of context. For both candidates? No, silly - only Donald Trump. Like how? Like the "bloodbath" story. "If Trump loses the election, there will be a bloodbath." Did Trump say that? Sort of. He was talking about China's auto plants in Mexico. If Trump wins, Trump will put a 100% tariff on any Chinese car coming off the line. However, if Biden wins, there will be a "bloodbath" in our auto industry. 

Expect to see more of this crap as the months drag on. As the old saying goes, the media will be ensconced in telling "lies, damn lies, and statistics." Truth will be a stranger, whereas sophism will be the norm. Trump just needs to stick to one subject - how things in this country were under a Trump Administration as compared to how they are today. Night and day.

At one time, a free press was considered to be the "Fourth Estate of Power". They existed to cover politics in a fair and unbiased manner. Those days are long gone. The lap dog media has been an arm of the DNC for quite a while now. The sad part is most normal folks realize it. So, when the press prints some garbage, that is how it is received. 

Can we survive until November 5th? I sure hope so. Can the press survive until November 5th? Maybe not. Maybe they will spin themselves into a supercilious oblivion.

"History is being written right now. The island of Haiti is about ready to implode. People in this hemisphere, will starve to death."

What a mess. Right on our doorstep is an island, which is devolving into a living hell. Why? Many reasons, but the most common is corruption. In 2010, there was a terrible earthquake which struck Haiti. Hundreds of thousands died. The island was left in tatters. If not earthquakes, it was hurricanes which plagued the Haitians.

But the biggest menace was not nature. The biggest menace was Bill Clinton. Billions of dollars were raised worldwide to help Haiti. Massive debt relief was granted to Haiti. Bill Clinton was the co-chair of an organization (Interim Haiti Recovery Commission) to ensure massive relief dollars were spent wisely. The were not. Putting Clinton is charge of that money, was like putting the cat in charge of the canary. 

Jack Brewer, football player turned evangelist, was on the news this morning. He just returned from Haiti, as he was trying to get over a hundred orphans situated. The picture he painted of life in Haiti right now was like something out of a horror movie. The island is inches away from a civil war, and the gangs now have the upper hand. Relief money and food sent over to help the starving and impoverished evaporates as soon as hits the island. Instead of health and wealth like neighboring Dominican Republic has, Haiti only has starvation and death.

Every island in the region is fortifying its borders, getting ready for boatloads of refugees to come washing ashore. Florida is doing the same. Why? The first thing which happened when Haiti's government crumbled, was the prisons were opened and 4,000 convicts were released. When the Haitians come knocking, how in the world can they be vetted? Who is a convict, who is a gang banger, who is just a citizen? Or will we do like Joe Biden always does. Let everyone in, no vetting allowed, and worry about it later.

Bill Clinton. If not flying with Epstein many times on the "Lolita Express", he was screwing the poor people from Haiti. But don't worry about Slick Willy and wife. This poor couple from Arkansas, are now worth $45,000,000. Huh? How can that be? They have been public servants. Ask just about anyone in Haiti. They will tell you much of the money the Clintons have that belongs to them.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Norway is now the richest nation on Earth. The highest standard of living. At the same time, the nation which has one of the lowest standards of living is Haiti, and in our neighborhood. Rich man, poor man. 

We have to get out of the habit of sending scads of money to an area with no accountability. Am I saying not to send money to Haiti? Nope - they need it - now. But right now, Blinken wants to send $300M over to Port-au-Prince. That would be a bad idea, as it would be like sending money to Gaza. Until you can ensure the right money gets into the right hands, sending money or food to combat zones is a fool's errand. It ends up with the bad guys, or just wasted. 

Maybe until we get a game plan down, we can send Bill Clinton over there by himself. We can see how that works out. Maybe Slick Willie can explain what happened to billions of dollars for Haiti relief which somehow evaporated. Maybe to ensure Bill does not get lonesome, we could send his wife with him. Just wondering...  

   

"The odor of mendacity"

"Remember this in November. Want more of the same? Vote for the re-election of Slow Joe (and any other Democrats). If you want to air out the stench of mendacity, vote Trump as well as Republican all the way down the ticket. The stakes could not be higher."     

By Jove, I think we finally have it! For decades now, I have been trying to figure out the proper term for the way Democrats act. Hubris, treacherousness, treasonous, tone deaf, authoritarian, and the list goes on. But then yesterday, by a stroke of luck, a Democrat judge removed the love of Fanni Willis' life from the Trump trial. Many thought the judge would remove both of them, but you know - politics. He is up for re-election in a very black district in Georgia, and to remove a black female prosecutor might have led to his demise. 

By ordering the removal of her paramour attorney boyfriend, the judge said this trial had taken on the "odor of mendacity". WHOA! That's it! Mendacity = the tendency to lie! This entire trial so far has been a farce. Its only purpose was to sidetrack the next president of the United States. But Fanni should not breathe a sigh of relief just as yet. She is still being investigated by the Georgia State Senate as well as the United States House of Representatives.

As this issue was being dissected on the national news all day yesterday, it gave me pause to ponder. Why is it, Democrats are so deceitful? Why lie all the time? Why obfuscate on every issue? Look at what happened recently up in Massachusetts. An ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, who was flown here at taxpayer expense, was staying in a refugee shelter. He was from Haiti. For reasons which are known only to him, he decided to rape a special needs minor female. When the Democrat Governor was asked about this heinous crime, she said in so many words, "s**t happens".

This ILLEGAL was here due to Biden's "Special Haitian Parole Program". What? You have never heard of this program? Very few have. But this program has flown (in the dark of night) over 300,000 illegals into this country. Deceitful, dishonest, and stinks of the odor of mendacity.

This is why Mayorkas can sit and smirk when being questioned by Congress. "Things on the border are getting better" he might say. How can he say that? The deceitful Democrats have come up with a better way. Instead of crossing the border, heck - just fly them over the border. By the thousands. Why? This is how you win elections in the 2020's. Flood the zone. Have millions more instant Democrats. When asked about this, Biden and Mayorkas lie through their teeth. All of a sudden, that odor of mendacity is back - in full force.

Who is the liar in chief? The one all Democrats seek to emulate? Our own Irish boy, the man who "beat the hell" out of that racist Corn Pop, the "Big Guy", Joseph Robinette Biden. Biden and his group of misfits he calls his cabinet, have really done a job on our country. By the way - did you hear the State Department did it again? Pulled out of Haiti without getting the Americans out first. This was an Afghanistan deja vu all over again. Only this is worse. The gang leader in charge of Haiti right now is nicknamed "Bar-b-que" (for obvious reasons). What could possibly go wrong? Every person in the State Department (especially Blinken) needs to be fired.

Remember this in November. Want more of the same? More chaos? More entropy? Vote for the re-election of Slow Joe (and any other Democrats). If you want to air out the stench of mendacity, vote Trump as well as Republican all the way down the ticket. The stakes could not be higher.     

   

Up Chuck Schumer

"The good news for the good guys, is the chances of the Senate flipping red in November are looking very good. The Senate is the Republicans to lose. We need to take it back, and then hopefully Schumer will get drop kicked back to New York. We don't need him, nor do we want him. It is as simple as that."    

What's up Chuck? Or is it "Up Chuck" Schumer. How you managed to become the head of the United States Senate is a mystery to most. Why? You are an idiot sir. Just because you are Jewish, does not give you the chops to tell our closest ally in the Middle East their government is corrupt, and they need a new election. If you want to flap your gums at another country (or government) which really is corrupt, tell Gaza, Russia, Iran, or China they need new elections.

What should Schumer do short of resignation? First off, he could call Israel and apologize for being an ass. For speaking out of place. Or he could ask Slow Joe to call Israel for him. But since Slow Joe has called Bibi an a** hole on a hot mic, maybe they would not be such a good idea. Or Schumer could just join the Squad and be done with it. He may not be of the same faith as the Squad, but he sure thinks like them.

Elections have consequences. The last Senate election, when Warlock and the other misfit got elected instead of two very qualified candidates, the razor-sharp balance in the Senate tilted over to the Democrats. And just like that, Up Chuck became the Senate Leader. When that happened, a hush spread over the shire. Those who know how Schumer operates, knew that the combination of Biden in the White House and Schumer in the Senate was indeed a witch's brew. 

If I believed in karma, my idea of how it works would have been Schumer vacationing over in Israel on October 7th. Where Chuck could have seen the horrible carnage up close and personal. People who saw the elderly getting shot in the face numerous times, babies beheaded or baked on ovens, and young women raped and then shot - saw things no human should have to see. But Schumer did not see the carnage. He was in his luxury digs back in New York. 

The good news for the good guys is the chances of the Senate flipping red in November are looking very good. The Senate is the Republicans to lose. We need to take it back, and then hopefully Schumer will get drop kicked back to New York. We don't need him, nor do we want him. It is as simple as that.    

Is Bernie right this time?

"I have been watching and reading about AI recently. Not how it works - that is above my paygrade. No, I have been reading about how AI will affect the workforce. Our workforce. A recent article I saw on YouTube said the changes due to AI will first be felt in 2025 (next year)." 

Bernie Sanders, our favorite socialist in the Congress, has come up with another hair brained scheme which he would like to make into a law. Mandate a 32-hour work week and get paid for 40. What a knucklehead idea! What mush! Or is it? The world is changing, the workplace is changing, and we are changing. Maybe Bernie is right this time. 

I have been watching and reading about AI recently. Not how it works - that is above my paygrade. No, I have been reading about how AI will affect the workforce. Our workforce. A recent article I saw on YouTube said the changes due to AI will first be felt in 2025 (next year). We could end up losing over 25 million jobs to automation. From there, it only gets worse. By the end of the decade (six years from now), Goldman Sachs predicts that over 300 million jobs in the US and Europe will be gone. 

I have not told this story for a while. When I was in high school, I went to a state-wide youth conference. The topics were education and the future. Some geeky kid from the south side of the metro, and an interesting take on our future. "Leisure time", he ranted about. We will have so much leisure time, we won't know what to do. As I went through life, and at times was busier than a beaver, I thought about that kid. Where is all this leisure time, I would think? Well, now it might be coming - and fast. 

My wife and I are now fully retired, so this four-day work week will not affect us at all. But it will affect our kids. And our grandkids. My most paramount thought I have had about the future as of late, is much more grandiose. We need to be educating and training our young folk how to live in this brave new world which is coming. And when is it coming? It is already here.

Many of the new jobs that Joe Biden claims have been created due to his "Biden-omics" are only place holders. Many of them will be gone in an instant. New jobs, many of which have not yet been invented, is where the action will be. Where the future will be. The question is, how do we train for something we know so little about? That is the $64,000 question.

The new "Roaring 20's" got off to a slow start with the pandemic. But now it is picking up speed - and lots of it. By the time we get to 2030, our world will hardly be recognizable. Stay tuned and buckle up. Things are about to get very interesting. 

 

What the what is going on??

"Will there ever be news so bad it will cause the market to tank? Maybe Biden getting re-elected. That is as bad as it gets." 

Yesterday, the market had a very good day. Want to know why? Me too. There was a time not too long ago, when there was some "disruption in the force", that the market would reflect that hiccup. Not any longer. What am I muttering about? Let's just look at yesterday from an economic and geopolitical standpoint.

Item One - Inflation is ticking back up again. Joe Biden wants us to do cartwheels that inflation is no longer 8%. But it is still over 3%. That means that goods we buy are 3% higher than last year. And soon, many goods will be 20% higher than when Biden took office. For most families, that is a back breaker. 

Item Two - With inflation ticking up again, the chances of the fed lowering rates are going out the window. In fact, if inflation goes up much higher, the fed might actually raise rates again. What does this mean? The price of a house is 20% higher than when Biden took office. That is maybe a good thing if you are selling. However, the mortgage rate is still over 6% rather than 2.5%. That is a bad thing if you are buying or selling. Bottom line? The housing market is slowing as more and more people cannot afford to move up into a more expensive home.

Item Three - Yesterday, was the long-awaited Special Council Herr hearing on Capitol Hill. The subject was Herr's Biden report. Too bad it was yesterday, as it shoved the other hearing off the air. And that hearing was very important. All the intelligence chiefs were testifying about the current threat level in our country. You know, because Uncle Joe destroyed our borders, and let everyone from all over - in. Bottom line? The threat level has never been higher, and it will be a miracle if some bad actors don't take advantage of our vulnerabilities. Thanks a lot Biden - this is all on you. 

Item Four - If our internal threat is not enough right now, Vladimir Putin thought it would be a good time (sensing Biden's weaknesses), to tell the US we are due for a nuclear war. I know, I know - Putin has done that before. But one day, it might not be a bluff. It might be the real thing. And then everything stops. Nothing else will matter. Life will not go on. But don't worry - Biden put a 1% increase in his 2025 budget to counteract the Russian threat. Big whoop. 

Now with all that (and there was more), why in the world would the market go up over 200 points yesterday? Back in the days when up was up and black was black (and not the opposite like it is today), bad news like this would have sent the investors scurrying for the bond market. Not today.

Will there ever be news so bad it will cause the market to tank? Maybe Biden getting re-elected. That will be as bad as it gets. 

Physican, heal thyself!

"The House has already told Biden his 2025 budget is DOA. Go back and submit a real budget. Until then, we will keep doing extensions on the 2023 budget. Why? That is the way we are doing business these days. But in the meantime, Biden himself can help. He and the Biden crime family can pay the back taxes they have cheated on."

"I don't care if you make a billion dollars. Hell, I am a capitalist. But come on man, you need to pay your fair share!" Thus, speaks the man whose son is a tax cheat, his brother is probably a tax cheat, and Joe Biden himself could be a tax cheat. In other words, physician, heal thyself! Bottom line? In order for Biden's canard of a 2025 budget to have a snowball's chance of passing anything but gas, it would mean that most of us believe there are trillions of dollars out there, which could be collected in back taxes. Really Joe? 

Of all the piles of goo which have been put forward by this administration so far, this is the worst. It is a $7.3 trillion dollar budget (a mere 4.7% increase over the already inflated 2024 budget), with the promise it will reduce down our national debt. I get it - spend more money and our debt will go down. How? The IRS shaking down millions of innocents (and honest) taxpayers. Well, guess what Uncle Joe? This is not the la-la land that your mind lives in. This is a prescription for a $50T debt by 2030. 

Another thing which is wrong with Biden's budget is military spending. Inflation is 3.5%, and Biden wants only 1% more on the military. That is a cut you old fool! At a time when you have made the world much more dangerous, you want to cut our forces? Our military should be going up by 10%, with the proper offsets in all the Candyland programs you have started. This is the real world now Biden. We are low on ammo, need more ships, and have to revamp our recruiting and retention. How so? Get rid of all that DEI and pronoun training BS for a starter.

The best part of this fairy tale is Biden has the gall to falsely boast this fat pig of a budget has the ability to lower out debt by $3T over the next decade. How? Taxing the socks off of our wealthiest citizens and those evil corporations. I have tried to tell Biden this before in my blog. The wealthy don't have to live here. They can move to a much friendlier tax country. The corporations don't have to locate here. They can go elsewhere. Trump understands this - you don't. To attract wealth into our country, it all starts with the tax base. Have a lucrative tax base, the wealthy will come. Have a confiscatory tax base, the opposite will happen.

Our ubiquitous AI

"I do know this. If we were smart as a country, we would be prepping our youngsters to learn more and more about how AI works. How to program it. How to use it. Why? As they said in the old days, 'There is gold in them thar hills!' AI will be where many of the new jobs will be."

Well, that sure did not take long, did it. We were warned that in the 2020 decade, AI was going to make a huge jump. Like, it was going to be in just about everything. Here it is only 2024, and AI is starting to become ubiquitous. How much so? Last night I was watching something on TV, and there was a commercial for a cable company. The big push for this advertisement was this cable company now had AI baked into their sports shows. The AI could anticipate what the viewer wanted to see - like which angle for a play. Really? And how does that work?

Then I started to think. Is AI all that and a bag of chips, or is it a wee bit of hype also? My wife and I were due for an upgrade on our phones. It had been a while, so much had changed in the technology of the phone. Of course, the tag line was, "And - they are loaded with AI!" Again, what does that mean? What can they do that my old phone could not do? So far - I have not found it.

I do know from doing some research that the newer phones will be needed to interact properly with the upcoming Internet of Things (IoT). Maybe that is when the AI really starts to earn its salt. One of the funniest things I have seen recently is some AI software which can detect product (either in writing or art), which had an AI component to it. In other words, AI being a fraud buster for other AI which is masquerading to be original content.

My Microsoft Suite has co-pilot embedded within it. Co-pilot is AI for MS Office. It pops up all the time, even when I don't summon it. Always ready to give me a suggestion or a hint. Once in a while that is helpful. Other times - a bother more than helpful. But it is there, and according to the MS developers, co-pilot gets better, and learns more, every day. Will I eventually be sold on co-pilot? Maybe.

I do know this. If we were smart as a country, we would be prepping our youngsters to learn more and more about how AI works. How to program it. How to use it. Why? As they said in the old days, "There is gold in them thar hills!" AI will be where many of the new jobs will be. If not in programing, then how to properly use it. Training our kids for yesterday jobs is a fool's errand. Looking over the horizon for what and where the good jobs will be (and training for them), will make great nations even greater. 

Tired of AI yet? Don't be, as we are just getting started. Be aware however, much of AI is just saying those two initials together. Soon, AI will have some teeth in it, and will be a great tool for us to have. But for right now, as was said in the TV show Kung Fu - "patience grasshopper". 

Steinbeck's America - a redux

"Simply the greatest country on Planet Earth, the Great American Experiment, has played itself out. We have devolved from the fantastic to the banal. We have traded our love for each other to visceral hatred. We traded our patriotism for hedonism." 

In the words of the group Steppenwolf, "America, where are you now, don't you care about your sons and daughters - don't you know, we need you now..."

There is no doubt that John Steinbeck was a great American author. He was at his best when he tried to put his writing fingers on the pulse of this great nation. His novels on the subject of America and Americans are legion - he had a particular knack for diving more than an inch deep to see what it was which made us and this country tick. Today, we have no equal to John Steinbeck, which is our loss.

Steinbeck knew us from the Great Depression to World War II, to the Cold War. But during the Cold War, is when Steinbeck started to see a shift in this great country. We started to drift from homogeneous to tribal. And that was only the beginning of our bifurcation. If Steinbeck could see us now, his ink would be flowing, and not in a good way. 

Back in my high school and college days, I took a lot of reading and writing courses. John Steinbeck was one of my favorite authors. Living in the wilds of northern Maine when I was a sailor, I filled my off time not by watching TV (we did not have one), to reading more and more American literature. All that reading gave me a better perspective of who and what we were. I thought Ken Kessey did an admirable job about writing during the Haight Ashbury and Woodstock era of our lives, but still, Kessey was not Steinbeck. 

If Steinbeck were alive today, he might ask questions like, "America, what are you doing?" Or "America, where are you going?" Or "America, what happened to you?" Simply the greatest country on Planet Earth, the Great American Experiment, has played itself out. We have devolved from the fantastic to the banal. We have traded our love for each other to visceral hatred. We traded our patriotism for hedonism. 

After watching the disgusting State of the Union campaign speech last week, it finally dawned on me. We are just a shell of what we once were. We have gone from leaders like Kennedy and Reagan, to empty suits like Joe Biden. A leader like Donald Trump, who really turned this country around, is besmirched and reviled by his opponents. No matter who wins the next election, America will lesser instead of greater. Why? Half the country will detest the outcome.

For John Steinbeck, this is America today. Lost. Forgotten. A land built on heritage, now a land going under. It was good while it lasted, but now we are ready to devour each other.   

🎶 Where has all the money gone, long time passing...🎶

"I can see why ten million illegals are roaming our land right now. Heck, who would not want to live here? Cradle to grave coddling. Free money and free everything. Is there a crash coming? Count on it. Bunker up, prep up, because the crash is coming."   

Cheer up Earthlings! Our Republic is saved! How so? Our somewhat less than frugal government, is getting ready to have Old Yeller sign into law a "minibus". That is a toned-down version of an omnibus bill. It is worth a mere 1/2 trillion dollars, and it will fund parts of the government until the end of this fiscal year. It averts a partial government shutdown (big whoop) and will keep the lobbyists on "K" Street very happy.

Here is the long and the short of it. Back when I was working, some of my conservative comrades and I would often talk about the sad state of our free spending government. One day I came up with this analogy: A massive asteroid was headed towards Earth. When it hits, all life will cease. But we have a year before it hits. I take out every penny from my savings. I run up all my charge cards to the absolute max. I party, I travel, I buy stuff I have always wanted. I live like I have no regard for anything except the moment.

That is our government in a nutshell. Only there is no asteroid, and all this money being spent, needs to be accounted for at some time.

Thursday night Uncle Joe gave the SOTU campaign speech. Out of the blue, he said he wanted to build a port in Gaza. Huh? Where in the world did that come from. And paid for how? By us? Is there an offset? Of course not silly! Just put it on the tab. Meanwhile, the one area which is severely underfunded (our military), is getting only a 1% bump. With China, Russia, and Iran all going to town on their military spending, a 1% increase "ain't gonna cut it".  

Back to Biden's new port. Besides wondering who will pay to have this put in (lots of bucks), who will pay to maintain it? Will it belong to us? If so, how many troops will need to be stationed there? Will it be considered hazardous duty? Come on man! Stop with the platitudes and give us some facts! 

By the way, besides all the new goodies that Sleepy Joe was talking about in his campaign speech, the "minibus" bill is also brimming over with earmarks. In fact, even Diane Feinstein (who is long dead now), has some earmarks in this bill. That is just how bad it is. On the news last night, some of the worthless garbage in these earmarks which you and I will be paying for in this bill was enumerated. It would be funny if it were not so sad.

I can see why ten million illegals are roaming our land right now. Heck, who would not want to live here? Cradle to grave coddling. Free money and free everything. Is there a crash coming? Count on it. Bunker up, prep up, because the crash is coming.   

"Get the **** off my lawn!!!!

"Joe's dementia causes him to yell more and more every year. Make less and less sense. In Joe's clouded mind, America is nothing more right now than sunshine and Lollie-pops. That is, except for smaller Snicker Bars and less potato chips in a bag." 

Well, I did not watch Uncle Joe give his speech last night when it was on. I was true to my word. However, I did wake up in the middle of the night and went to turn the TV on. There it was. Being re-played. So, I watched part of it. I watched all I could take. I turned it off. I then turned the TV back on when I thought it was over, to see the pundit's opinion of this YELL FEST. Nothing to learn there. But I did enjoy seeing Katie Britt, talking from her kitchen table. No yelling there - just emotion.

I guess Joe is still going after the assault gun ban. And large magazines. I don't think this old geezer will be happy until we can only use flintlocks. He is also after potato chip and Snicker Bars makers. Seems they have "shrinkflation". In Joes cloudy mind, he wants the size of the snacks to be what they once were, and also the prices. This was all big candy and big snacks that caused this mess. Not Uncle Joe - his Build, Back, Better made everything better. No inflation under Joe's watch!

Also, last night, this good Catholic man, who is the most religious in our history of presidents, talked about his hate. He hates Russians. He hates Republicans. He hates Donald Trump so much; he would not even mention his name. Referred to Trump as only "my predecessor". That is okay Joe - soon Trump will be calling you the same thing. 

Then, thanks to MTG's shirt and her yelling at Biden, Uncle Joe was forced to say the name of Laken Riley. He sure did not want to - it caused him to go off script. It even caused him to say a truthful gaffe: "Lincoln (not Laken) Riley was killed by an illegal alien". Wow Joe! A moment of truth! Nice going MTG - mission accomplished!

All in all, it was a super waste of time, even to only watch parts of this "speech". Joe's dementia causes him to yell more and more every year. Make less and less sense. In Joe's clouded mind, America is nothing more right now than sunshine, ice cream and Lollie-pops. That is, except for smaller Snicker Bars and less potato chips in a bag. But that is all on Trump.

   

An now Haiti?

"Can't the Dominican Republic fix its neighbor? Nope. Could the coming anarchy spread from Haiti over to the other side of the island? Infect the Dominican Republic? Good question."

Has anybody ever wondered what is up with Haiti. I have been fascinated by the crime and poverty in Haiti for quite a while now. Why is that? As most of us know, Haiti shares the same island with the Dominican Republic. Putting the Dominican Republic next to Haiti is like putting South Korea next to North Korea. One lives in abject poverty - the other lives the good life. 

It is like the tale of "Rich Man, Poor Man", only instead of a person, it is an island called Hispaniola. This island is occupied by both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. One nation (Dominican Republic) gets hit by storms and weathers them fine. The other nation gets hit by storms, and it is a disaster. The same with earthquakes. It is almost as if one nation is blessed, and the other is cursed.

The difference in GDP, life expectancy, income - just about everything, is off the charts different. But now there is a new menace which is facing this very poor Caribbean neighbor. Anarchy. Haiti is about ready to slip into total lawlessness. Why? Crime is so much bigger than the meager police presence. And when that tipping point comes, which might be soon, we will have a real disaster at our doorstep.

If or when that happens, what does the UN do? What does the US do? I guess this has already been discussed in our State Department. Like - do we send troops? I can see it now, we send troops, and we will be entering another "forever war". So far, our State Department has nixed that idea. Can't the Dominican Republic fix its neighbor? Nope. Could the coming anarchy spread from Haiti over to the other side of the island? Infect the Dominican Republic? Good question. 

Some might ask the age-old question once again - What good is the UN? The answer remains the same - they are worthless. Rumor has it the Taliban has started public executions in Afghanistan. Where is the UN? How about the torture and mistreatment of the Uyghurs in China? Where is the UN? The genocide of 50,000 Christians in Nigeria? Where is the UN? And now in Haiti, when blood will be running down the street - where is the UN? There is no UN. There is no "superman". There is no help coming. 

Someone recently said, this is why the aliens have not visited us. We are way too messed up for them. That could be true. We are messed up. We have been messed up for thousands of years. We burn, destroy, kill and maim. Often times, we live and act more like animals than humans.

Maybe the eschatologists are correct - we are in the end times of history. Only the return of Christ can straighten this mess out.
