Police without policing?

"This is why we need two states in Minnesota instead of one. I would opt to live in the free state of Dakota, with a normal Governor like Kristie Noem. The Democrats can stay in this gulag called Minnesota, and be ruled by a dolt called Walz."

Now our Governor has decided to jump into the fray. You know, the let's "reimagine" policing issue. If you are a socialist Democrat, the term police is a six letter word, which is vile as many four letter words. To them, most, if not all, police are nothing more than jack booted thugs.  Most conservatives however, feel just the opposite. They understand that a good and strong police force is necessary to maintaining law and order. And No Balls Walz? He wants the legislature to muzzle our police forces, so they are nothing more than Bobbies.

The thing which is the most disconcerting, is this rush by those on the loony left to take away a police officer's immunity. If a police officer does not have immunity, not only when he or she puts on the uniform every morning, there is not only a chance of being killed, but also sued. What will be the result of such an action? Not only will it continue to winnow the force, but those who are left, will be hesitant to take any action which could put them in legal jeopardy. The net result of such insanity? A neutered police force. A win for the criminals.

What is with the Democrats anyhow? They want to take guns away from legal gun owners, and also want to neuter our law enforcement. If I were a law breaker, I would be doing a jig in the street right now. Most normal people however, are left scratching their heads. What is the end game here? Why do Democrats always side with the bad guys? Why do they want to empower them further?

Fortunately in Minnesota, we have Senate which has normal leadership. They have no interest in losing or weakening our police forces. The Minnesota House? Not the same story. And our feckless Governor is the same way. The news have a story running about how the University of Minnesota is also "reimagining" their police force. Good luck with that. It seems like every week, there is a story about some student getting mugged by the "U" at night. With cops being absent, it will be a free-for-all.

This is why we need two states in Minnesota instead of one. I would opt to live in the free state of Dakota, with a normal Governor like Kristie Noem. The Democrats can stay in this gulag called Minnesota, and be ruled by a dolt called Walz.

This police issue has about pushed me over the edge. Getting rid of, or weakening our police forces, is the dumbest thing I have heard of since playing Russian Roulette.

A Panderer's Tale...

"The best visual of this pathetic speech that Biden gave, came from Senator Ted Cruz. He started to fall asleep. I didn't blame him. This speech was like a huge dose of Sleepy-time Tea."

Last night was an interesting contrast. On one hand, you had our accidental President, address the nation with a huge "pander fest". Telling us once again, what a horrible, racist country we live in. How Donald Trump really hosed things up, but thanks to Joseph Biden and his 50 years of government experience, he would fix things. "Build back better", whatever that means.

Then on the other hand, you had Senator Tim Scott who give the Republican rebuttal. Senator Scott, a black man, said America is a good country, and not a racist country. It is a land of opportunity. The example he gave, was his 90+ year old grandfather. In his lifetime, he went from cotton to Congress. Yes, he lived to see his grandson get elected into the United States Senate.

Listening to Biden last night, it really hit me. All he can do is pander and lie. In other words, there is no "there, there". He is an empty suit with squinty eyes. His speech would have been bad if there was nobody speaking after him. But there was. Tim Scott gave the speech of a lifetime. It was excellent. But as a black man, has he not experience racism? Yes, he has. He mentioned that last night. Ironically, being called an "Uncle Tom" or the ""n-word", has come from Biden's left wing - not the Republicans.

Biden's speech last night was a cornerstone of the Great Reset. It will change the trajectory of our nation. It will change the trajectory of our economy. It will saddle our kids and grandchildren with so much debt, their standard of living will never be like ours has been. It will create the Nanny State, like few of us could ever imagine. It will expand the lower class, impoverish the lower middle class, and stagnate the rest of us. All for what? Pandering.

According to Biden, we will have cradle to grave comfort. Zero risk. La-la land. Well, that crap has been tried before. It has been tried and failed in many socialist countries. I thought we were smarter than that. Smart enough to never fall for this canard. I guess the blue pill crowd who elected Biden just does not care anymore.

The best visual of this pathetic speech that Biden gave, came from Senator Ted Cruz. He started to fall asleep. I didn't blame him. This speech was like a huge dose of Sleepy-time Tea.

On the other hand, Senator Scott's speech was so inspiring, it keep most of us on our toes. What do I think of Senator Tim Scott after hearing him last night? I would much rather be calling him President Tim Scott. With a President Scott, there would be no panderer's tale, like we heard from Slo Joe last night.

Face Diapers

"The less time I need to be in a face diaper, the better. I have grown to loath those things. Do they help? Debatable. Or doubtful. Many, if not most in my orbit, think they are worthless."

Yesterday, my wife and I were running around doing some errands. It was close to lunchtime, and we had a couple of Arby coupons which were getting ready to expire. We went through the drive through at an Arby's, and got our lunch. As we sat parked eating our lunch, we had a good view of the White Castle next door. I was amazed on how many (older) people we saw coming out of White Caster, lunch in hand, still wearing a mask. Now, when I have to wear a mask inside (rules), I have that sucker whipped off when I am 6 inches outside the door. Never have worn one outside - never will.

Yesterday, our appeaser in chief (Slo Joe), announced to us that IF we are fully vaccinated, we need not wear a face diaper outside (unless that is, you are in a crowd). Inside however - not so fast. It seems to me, the goalposts are shifting once again. I could have sworn that I heard, if you were fully vaccinated, and with others who are fully vaccinated, masks are not required. They are not necessary.

In fact, I recently heard the CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines, tell a business reporter that his cruise ships will be ready to go and will be totally safe by summer. Why? You can't be on the ship as a guest or a crew member unless you have a vaccine passport. Then when the ship is safely at sea, no masks are required by anybody. Now that  - makes perfectly good sense to me.

Even though Fauci is fully vaccinated, he has been caught more than once wearing two masks. Huh? What for? Is he virtue signaling, or is there a medical reason? He is one of the people who have told us in the past that masks will no longer be required once fully vaccinated. So what is St. Fauci doing? Following "the science"? I don't think so. Ted Cruz once again has it spot on. He is not wearing a mask any longer on the Senate floor. Why not? He has been fully vaccinated. He does not need one.

I think the smart money is on folks who are either vaccinated, or keeping their immune system fortified with the proper supplements. One doctor was on one of the cable shows this past weekend. He said we would be much further along, if those who choose not to be vaccinated, don't criticize those who are vaccinated. By the same token, those who choose to be vaccinated, should not criticize those who are not. He said some folks have a natural immunity. Some have already had Covid, and have the antibodies. It should be a person decision if one gets vaccinated or not.

The less time I need to be in a face diaper, the better. I have grown to loath those things. Do they help? Debatable. Or doubtful. Many, if not most in my orbit, think they are worthless. That is, except for Slo Joe, and St. Fauci. But they are not in my orbit. Not even close.

The people balance

"Minnesota, you dodged the bullet this time. But the next census is less than 10 years away. You better get your socialists under control, or you will become nothing more than a cold Omaha, with much of your wealth living in Florida or Texas."

As most of us know by now, we came within a whisker of losing a House seat. Some breathed a sigh of relief, others (like myself), were nonplussed. Why is that? The thought of losing CD 2, 3, 4, 5 (especially 5), was tempting. But we could have also lost CD 6 - and that would have been real bad. In any event, that is all speculation now, as the census is over, and the winners and losers have been named.

It was not 100% this way, but the prevailing thought was that higher taxed states (like ours), lost population to lower taxed states (like Texas). So it came as little surprise that states such as New York, California, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan - lost seats. In fact, California lost a seat for this first time in its history. All of these states are blue.

The states which gained are Texas (two seats!), Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Oregon and Montana. They all gained a seat or two. I understand most of those states gained, due to their favorable tax climate, but Colorado and Oregon? Okay - maybe it is the weed and mountains in Colorado, and not the taxes. But Oregon is for sure a head scratcher. Especially when you see what has been going on in Portland with all the Antifa disruptions and mayhem.

Will these shifts make a difference in the next election? Maybe. However, if the socialists are successful in getting D.C. and/or Puerto Rico statehood, then what ever minute gains are made from this past census, will be for naught. That being said, many pundits are seeing the power in state Governors growing, as well as their taxing authority. In other words, red states will probably keep on gaining people fleeing from high tax blue states.

Bottom line - what does this change in population really mean? Not much. It is a modest change, not a seismic change. But there is a lesson here, for the Democrats to learn. Especially Slo Joe. People don't have to live in any particular state. They can vote with their feet. In addition (and this is really important, Biden) - people don't have to work at high paid jobs, just to pay high taxes. They can quit, or move their assets offshore. So, when you think you can tax the socks off of people, and they will just take it - think again.

Minnesota, you dodged the bullet this time. But the next census is less than 10 years away. You better get your socialists under control, or you will become nothing more than a cold Omaha, with much of your wealth living in Florida or Texas.

The woke joke

"The left can keep their 'woke' culture. We can all see what it has done to our new President. It has turned him from being a moderate on the campaign trail, to a flaming socialist once in the White House."

Last night was the Oscars. Anybody watch it? Anyone care? I did not see it, and probably never will again. Why? These self righteous, left wing nut balls, really enjoy lecturing the rest of us on how bad, how unaware we are. This is ground zero for the "woke" crowd.

Ironically, my wife and I did see the movie which won best picture. It was months ago, right after it hit the streaming internet. It was not known for much at that time. We watched it, mostly because the same gal who was in the movie Fargo, also starred in this movie. Thus, we figured it could not be that bad. We were wrong. It was dark, depressing, dour, and boring. A complete waste of two hours. We hated it. But the "woke" crowd loved it. Figures.

I despise this whole "woke" joke culture. It is hurting the country. Badly. Our last Republican Governor, TPaw, got hooked into being "woke", even before "woke" became a "thing". I had almost forgotten about what he did. Fortunately, the latest issue of Thinking Minnesota hit my mailbox this past week, and had some very good articles in it. One in particular, penned by a young man named Isaac Orr, really hit the nail on the head. It addressed the "wokeness" of Minnesota's flawed energy policy, and how TPaw got cowed by it.

The Next Generation Energy Act (NGEA) of 2007. Sounds good. Sounds harmless. Sounds "woke". The Minnesota House and Senate, concerned about climate change (probably called "global warming" back then), sent this bill to Governor Pawlenty for him it sign. And sign it he did. Our electric bills have not been the same since.

This misguided bill, which mandated a much higher mix of solar and wind by 2020, only resulted in two things: 1) our electric costs have risen 23% faster than the national average, and 2) we had a very close call in 2019 (from brownouts and blackouts) due to that winter's Polar Vortex. Meanwhile, reducing our "carbon footprint", resulted in a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 34%. Not bad, until you realize the county as a whole, reduced its carbon dioxide emissions by 32.3%. Thanks to TPaw wanted to be "woke", the good people of Minnesota are paying a lot of extra money for very little environmental improvement, and have taken on much more risk of spotty power in extreme conditions.

The left can keep their "woke" culture. We can all see what it has done to our new President. It has turned him from being a moderate on the campaign trail, to a flaming socialist once in the White House. And every "woke" thing Biden is trying to shove down our throats, hurts the country.

So, is "woke" just a joke? Not really. There is nothing funny about "woke". In fact, it is the most unfunny word in our new lexicon.

Close to the tipping point

"Hey Joe! Here is a news flash. The 75+million of us out here who are dyed in the wool patriots, are not going to take this trash. We are not lambs, waiting to be led to slaughter."

This morning on the news, Tommy Tuberville, the junior Senator from Alabama, and former head football coach at Auburn, said something most of us believe in strongly. Believe it or not (sarcasm), this had to do with our current President. The subject was all the BS and nonsense which Slo Joe has been trying to get implemented as of late, to breathe life into the Great Reset. Tuberville said, "The President keeps forgetting there are 75 million of us out here, who voted for President Trump, and did not vote for many of the things Biden is trying to push on the American people." True that coach. In fact, I think 75 million of us are at the tipping point.

Yesterday on a financial show, one financial expert brought up a great point about the upcoming Biden tax increase. Specifically, the increase in the capital gains tax. "Of all the dumb things this man has done, this will be the dumbest", the financial expert went on to say. I have addressed this before. This move is typical of someone who has never worked. Many Democrats have never had a real job - particularly Biden. Screwing with the capital gains tax, kills the golden goose for the middle and upper middle class. Without investment, the great engine of our economy will start to sputter.

But the dumbest of the dumb ideas might be right around the corner. Meat. Cows. Steak. Burgers. You selfish Americans are warming up the planet, not only because we still burn some coal, and drive gas guzzling F150's, Rams, and Silverado's - you ignorant savages still eat meat! But Slo Joe will come to the rescue with his New Green Deal climate fiasco. Cut red meat consumption by 90%. Burgers on the grill for the 4th? Forgetaboutit! Get used to soy and veggie burgers!

So, let's get this straight. Since taking office, Slo Joe wants to stop fracking, so our natural gas will cost more, kill the Keystone Pipeline, so the cost to transit oil will cost more, kill drilling leases, so the cost of gasoline will go up, raise taxes, so there will be less take home pay (yes, this will affect EVERYONE), and now make our food more selective and expensive. Again, to quote the coach, we did not sign up for this. We don't want this. We are close to the tipping point.

Someone else pointed out recently, that Slo Joe is trying to overwhelm us. Throw so much crap at the wall, that something is bound to stick. But here is the fact of life. Biden lied to us. Not a little lie, but a whopper. My feeling is that many moderate Democrats and wayward Republicans who voted for him, voted for a unifier (where have we heard that before), and a moderate. They got neither. This is an evil man, with evil intent to destroy our country. Don't think so? Change my mind.

Hey Joe! Here is a news flash. The 75+million of us out here who are dyed in the wool patriots, are not going to take this trash. We are not lambs, waiting to be led to slaughter. We are Americans, who deeply love this country. Are we at the tipping point? Damn right we are! We are the Boston Tea Party on steroids. We are red, white and blue, and understand our God given rights! Like I said Joe - we are neither lambs nor sheep.

Smokin' Joe's "La-La" World View

"Soon, Biden and his minions will have accomplished their mission. America, the great and powerful, will have devolved into America, the dull grey and ordinary."

"What color is the sky in your world", is a question often asked of someone who is either clueless or just plain stoopid. Truthfully - it has been many a year since I have used that phrase on anyone. Why? In my orbit of friends, very few, if any, deserve it. HOWEVER - this blabbering old man, who somehow made his way into the White House, deserves that question - and in spades. Whoops! I used a term which Biden would find "racist". I should not have used "in spades", even though the origin of that term comes from the card game of Bridge.

Biden. I don't think I have ever seen anyone like him before. I have never seen anyone who gets played by so many, and has no shame in doing so. This week, our fearless leader had a virtual gathering of nations to discuss climate change (whatever that is). He has committed that our country will cut our carbon footprint in half by the end of the decade (8 1/2 years away). Not only is that impossible, but also very foolish to even attempt. Meanwhile, as Joe tries to take this nation back to the horse and buggy era, China (the world's largest polluter), continues to build new coal plants to their heart's content. Then why in the world is Biden doing this? He is either evil, stoopid, or both.

As damaging as Biden is about climate, it is nothing compared to what he is doing to our youth concerning race. Not only race, but our history. He stands firmly behind this commie manifesto, which teaches our youngins that America is a rotten and illegit country. The Critical Race Theory (CRT) curriculum spells that out quite nicely for our vulnerable youth. We are white, we are privileged, we are conquerors. Mix in with the CRT, Common Core, and then add a dash of early Pre-K sex education. All of a sudden, we have a world class mess in our government schools. Now more than ever, they indoctrinate our youth, more than educate them. Biden, and his phony "Doc" wife, are aware of this, and are all in.

One more thing in which Slo Joe is especially dense. Equity. He has dropped kicked equality out the door, and replaced it with equity. Why? Because America, is inherently racist and unfair. Having equity, where everyone is the same, and gets the same, ensures all shades of the rainbow are now gone (other than dull grey). Everyone, regardless of talent, work ethic, education - will get the same (sound a bit like Lenin?).

What will that do to our economic system? No more building a better mousetrap. We will look more and more like China. Maybe however, that was the plan all along. The Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, CCP connection might be in full swing right now. And to think, Biden had the balls to call Trump "Putin's puppet". Biden is owned and operated by the Red Chinese. Biden is much worse than a "puppet".

What color is the sky in Biden's world? In don't know - does Biden ever know there is a sky? Remember, this guy has never worked, and has been sucking off the teat of government for decades. Without a doubt, he is the most damaging person ever to set foot in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. He should have been impeached yesterday, for the damage he has already done to this country.

Sadly however, this nation has way too many "blue pill" folks, who look at this hapless old man with compassion and tolerance. They say, "He means well." Or, "He is not as rough and tough as Trump was." One of those is true, and the other is a lie. True, he is not as rough and tough as Trump. False, he means well. He does not mean well for this country. He worships at the feet of the Great Reset deity.

Soon, Biden and his minions will have accomplished their mission. America, the great and powerful, will have devolved into America, the dull grey and ordinary.

A new Police Chief?

"It has many officers within it, who are the best of the best. It is tough job. A dangerous job. So, do we really need a new Police Chief? Nope - but we sure need a new Commander-in-Chief."

The Chief of Police in Minneapolis is Medaria Arradondo. He is a good man. He is a black man. He is a very kind man. I have met him. I think Minneapolis lucked out getting a guy like Chief Arradondo to run the joint. That being said, he has to go. Even thought he has done a good job in tough circumstances, the failed nominee to the Supreme Court, and now our AG (Merrick Garland), is investigating the MPD for something like "systemic racism" (whatever that is). Never mind the Chief is black, and his predecessor was openly gay - this department has got to change and get with the times!

In fact, all over the country right now, a small, yet very vocal minority of folks, are crying to have police either defunded or just plain gone. Take what happened in Columbus, Ohio. There was a situation which was much different from the one which took place in Brooklyn Center, MN. In Ohio, there was no confusion between a sidearm and a taser. A cop was called to a fight between two factions of young black folk. One had a knife. Instantly after the cop arrived, the fight went from bad to worse. The cop had to shoot a young black woman before she killed another young black women with a knife.

The shooting of a 20 year old black man in Brooklyn Center was an unfortunate accident. The shooting of a young black woman in Ohio was necessary, in order to save a life. However, for the chattering class, both of these killings of young black folk were racist. Okay - I will bite. If at any time, there needs to be police action with people of color, that leaves only one solution. Back off. Stand down. Do nothing. To do something, would open a law enforcement individual up for possible charges. Or investigation by the AG of the United States.

Here is my solution. We need new police chiefs in each and every big blue city. Their job is to ensure that only certain communities get policed, and others get left alone. It became obvious this past year, that police were persona non grata in areas like "autonomous zones". Some areas just don't want cops around. The young socialists who live in "autonomous zones", prefer to do their own policing. Fine. Good luck with that.

One more thing. Police unions. They need to be more like the teacher unions. They need to focus on much, much, more on self interest items. Police have been too unselfish in the past. Too noble. The focus should be like the teacher unions have. For example, the teacher unions were so self involved this past year, they let tens of thousands of students sink into the quagmire of distance learning. They did not care.

Who do I point the finger at right now? Eastward, towards Washington DC. In particular, Obama's puppet. By the way, there is nothing wrong with our law enforcement. It has many officers within it, who are the best of the best. It is tough job. A dangerous job. So, do we really need a new Police Chief? Nope - but we sure need a new Commander-in-Chief.

Is there a path forward?

"But for right now, our world is somewhat at peace. We have a fragile truce with each other, which allows us to have a semi-normal life. How long that will last is anyone's guess."

Well, it is finally over. From last Memorial Day to present time, the George Floyd issue has been sucking up all the of the news cycle (locally). It has put our little Mayberry, in the center of the universe. No longer "fly over country", we are the home of (as the pundits put it), a renegade cop, who did not know how to control himself. Oh yes - the narrative became rich with suppositions and innuendos. Derrick Chauvin was an out of control cop, a monster, who took the life of an innocent man.

Here is my take. I always like to hit the rewind button on situations, to find out how we got to a certain point. That fateful morning might have just been a normal morning for both Chauvin and Floyd. George Floyd had no clue that day might be his last, and Derrick Chauvin had no clue he would (unintentionally) kill someone. But how the day unfolded, and then developed into a series of unfortunate events, became the story. At the end of the day, George Floyd would be laying in a morgue, and Derick Chauvin's career as a cop would basically be over. All because of a 10 minute lapse in judgement.

The lessons learned from this incident, and subsequent trial, would result in a list a mile long. Many missteps, many mistakes, many errors in judgement were made. Why so many? First off, we are all human. One of the national lawyers (one of many), was interviewed once the verdict was read. He thought not putting Chauvin on the stand was a mistake. Give Chauvin a chance to explain to the jury he did not mean to kill George Floyd. That he did not have a "depraved mind". He just got caught up in adrenalin and the moment. Instead, all the jury had was the "dream team", telling them, what a monster Chauvin was. And of course, the tape.

Yes, the tape. The tape the jurors would see countless times. The tape which showed a cop, expressionless, with his knee on the neck of a man who was handcuffed, face down on the pavement. Most all of us have seen the tape at least once. In the absence of any other facts, that tape is very damning. Very convicting. It is not easy to see a person die.

The jury ruled in almost record time. No questions were asked of the judge. Some say the reason was the tape itself. Others say the reason was the pigs head and blood on the garage door of a defense witness. In other words - fear of "mob" retaliation, if Chauvin was acquitted. Still others say it was the circus atmosphere of the trial, and not having the jury sequestered, allowed the jury to witness the nonsense going on in the background. In any event, the verdict will be appealed. That will be a slam dunk, according to many legal experts.

But where do we go from here? Where is our path forward? Was this just a brief respite to the mayhem in our streets? We have the other three cops in the Floyd incident to be tried later on this year. Are the minions going to be satisfied if these three former officers, "walk"?

And of course, the Brooklyn Center issue. Alan Dershowitz has already weighed in on this one. His opinion? Kim Potter, the offer who shot Daunte Wright is guilty of - nothing. Not murder, not manslaughter. Only a mistake. How is that going be accepted? Or is it? If she is not charged, will that light the fuse again? Should we keep our Wal Marts boarded up until that is resolved?

Our path forward will be fraught with dangers and uncertainties. The Derick Chauvin verdict really settled nothing. The race baiters and critical race aficionados, will keep pounding home the narrative that we are a racist country - especially the cops. Even though this is very far from the truth, the race baiters (like the Justice Brothers), will see "gold in them thar hills."

But for right now, our world is somewhat at peace. We have a fragile truce with each other, which allows us to have a semi-normal life. How long that will last is anyone's guess. "One day at a time", seems to be the sage way to look at our path right now. One day, each day, at a time.

Judge Cahill, the Minneapolis Zookeeper.

"My opinion has never changed on one item. This trial should have been held outstate. Way, way too many distractions, by holding it in Minneapolis."

Welcome to the 2021 version of the OJ trial. What in the world does this trial have in common with the OJ trial? Not a thing. Except for one thing - it is probably the most watched trial we have had in this country, since the OJ trial. Other than that, they are as similar as day is to night time.

For example, OJ had the "dream team" defending him. Remember Johnnie Cochran ("if the glove fits, you must acquit")? In this trial, it is the prosecution who has the "dream team". The AG, 100 of his lawyers (yes, the department is that large), and who's who of pro bono superstars to help the prosecution. The defense? Eric Nelson. It is for sure, a legal David vs. Goliath trial.

We have the Justice Brothers in town (of course, can't have a trial like this, without having those two race baiters), Auntie Maxie, and all the local socialist nut balls (including the Governor and Mayor of the Mill City), shooting off their mouths, with VERY inappropriate and unsolicited comments and rhetoric.

Plus, before the trial even started, there was a HUGE payment given to the Floyd family by the Minneapolis City Council (Why not? It is not their money). This just added to the side shows, while Judge Cahill was trying to run a normal, and orderly trial. Because of all these distractions, Judge Cahill at times, is more a zookeeper than a judge.

I think Aunt Maxie was the one who might have given the defense the keys to the kingdom. The "Golden Ticket". Even though Aunt Maxie might have thrown this trial into a mistrial, the Judge held it together. HOWEVER - Judge Cahill told the defense this Aunt Maxie stuff might be the path to appeal. In the minds of some legal types who are paying attention, there might have already been reasons for appeal. But Aunt Maxie might have sealed the deal.

How is this going to end up? Unknown, as to what the verdict will be. But if I were a betting man, I would say once this trial is over, it will not be over. An appeal should be forthcoming. Then the question to be asked is this - will an appeal lead to community unrest? Or, if Chauvin is convicted of anything less than first degree murder (which he is NOT charged with), will that cause an eruption of rioting and mayhem?

My opinion has never changed on one item. This trial should have been held outstate. Way, way too many distractions, by holding it in Minneapolis. Between the heavy police presence, the National Guard, the fencing - Minneapolis around the Government Center, looks like an encampment, instead of a city. A trial held in an outstate city, might not have had the same effect.

However this ends up, Judge Cahill deserves a "well done". Maybe once this is over, Judge Cahill can go back to just being a judge, instead of a zookeeper.

Rocked by the aged

"Now we have a President who might be interned at Happy Acres Nursing Home before his term is up. Instead of having a healthy, vibrant President, we reached into the jar of retreads and come up with Joe Biden."

As most have heard by now, "Auntie Maxie" made an unannounced and unwelcomed visit to town this weekend. Maxine Waters? What the heck for? I mean, she is a representative of California, not Minnesota. Oh, the answer to that question is quite simple. She came here to incite things, maybe even a riot. Why? Because in Maxine's world, anyone who is not aged and of color - is a racist. And the term "racist" is now being tossed around, like rain in a Minnesota thunderstorm. But rain in a thunderstorm means something - but thanks to the loony left, the term "racist" no longer means anything.

Seeing Auntie Maxie hobble into town this weekend, I was struck by a thought. Maybe even a profound thought. I might see part of the problem here. Consider the following:

Joe Biden - age 78, will be over 80 when his term is up.

Maxine Waters - age 82, will be 84 when her term is up.

Diane Feinstein - age 87, she will be over 90 when her term is up.

Chuck Grassley - age 87, he will be almost 90 when his term is up.

Dr. Fauci - age 80

Justice Steven Breyer - age 82

Justice Ginsburg - died at 87, while still in office

What up Bird? Is this all about ageism? Don't you like old folks? On the contrary - I have a lot of respect for older folks (some think I am now one of them). My dad lived to be 90 (barely), and my mom lived to be almost 97. That being said, I did a lot of caregiving for them when they were in their 80's. Why? They needed it. They were not as agile, nor as sharp as they were in their heydays. That is just a fact of life. The longer you use the knife, the duller the blade gets.

I have said this for a while now. I even said it about Donald Trump (who I think is still sharper than ever). Not only do we need term limits for those serving, we also need age limits. Like, 72 or 75.Think I am wrong? Look at Biden. He in no way should be serving today. Some days he is just okay, other days, he is nuttier than a fruitcake.

People should not go to Washington, just to stay there until they keel over. Look at RGB. With her health issues, she was on death's door for the last few years of her life. But in her mind, keeping her liberal views present in the Supreme Court was more important than life itself. So, she died in office, with one of her last wishes being not to let Donald Trump fill her position.

Now we have a President who might be interned at Happy Acres Nursing Home before his term is up. Instead of having a healthy, vibrant President, we reached into the jar of retreads and came up with Joe Biden. We have an old President, working with a Congress populated by old people, serving along with a Supreme Court, who is going from grey to ancient.

This is our government. Biden like to "put a cap" on days to retire and take a nap. He could not even greet the Prime Minister of Japan upon arrival. Had to send Commie Harris to do it for him.

If this is the government we deserve, I feel sorry for all of us. Especially those in Auntie Maxie's district.

Our "change agent" in charge?

For those who voted for Biden, here it is. I hope you like it. For the rest of us, there is no love lost here. We long for the days, when just a few short months ago, we had a President who wanted America to be great and greater again. What do we have now? You tell me.

Years ago, at a company I worked at, a new director was appointed over the group I was with. She did not know much about what we all did (she came from another discipline), but she loved change. At one of our first staff meetings, she announced, "I want you all to be change agents - agents of change." We talked about that for a while, and then bantered about some ideas. Then she said, "Everything we do is going to be subject to change." Since I was one of the salty dogs in the group, and had been around for a while, I responded by saying, "Maybe not all change is good. Maybe somethings are good right now." It was as if I had spoken heresy. It was for sure a "mic drop" moment.

I thought about that time in my career in relation to our new President. When Biden assumed the office, everything needed to change. Anything Trump, or even sounding like Trump - needed to go. Even though some of the things that Trump had initiated, were good. Maybe even optimal. That did not matter. Our new "change agent" President, needed to change everything. The result? We have strained relations with Russia, our gas prices are going up, food prices are going up, natural gas is going up, the southern border is a mess, and we have mayhem in the streets. I will repeat what I said years ago - not all change is good.

I looked at our country right now and scratch my head in bewilderment. How in the world, could we have elected such a clueless dolt? Then it dawned on me. Our electorate has become so uninformed, they chose a guy who looks harmless, and thinks of himself as a "nice guy", over someone who is a rough and tumble, get things done, businessman from New York.

The fact that Biden is an idiot, who never has accomplished ANYTHING, did not matter to many of the minions who voted for him. Getting rid of Donald Trump and his gruff demeanor, was far more important, than having a country which worked. Do the people who voted for Biden have "buyer's remorse"? Any, what so ever? Nope. Biden's approval ratings are still higher than Trump's were. That leaves many of us, shaking our collective heads in amazement.

It is not just Biden that people who want change voted for. Look at many of our bluest cities. The minions who voted for city leaders and mayors, also wanted to "reimagine" law enforcement. In Minneapolis, the City Council would love to have the cops gone, and replaced by "influencers" and social workers. The result of such confused thinking? Cops all over the country now, are being besmirched and assaulted. They are no longer looked upon as heroes by the socialists - they are looked upon as heels. Not the friend, but the enemy.

Obama, Clinton, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Waters, Nadler (the list goes on and on) - they are the problem right now. The problem was never Donald Trump. But Trump was hated and reviled by the left. Why? He was an iconoclast as well as he was anachronistic. He wanted to "turn over the tables in the temple" (drain the swamp), but at the same time restore our founding values of faith, family, and opportunity. In other words, Donald Trump stood for everything the left hates. He had to go. He had to go, and be replaced by a confused, aging old man, who would change everything, and then allow our country to slip into the abyss.

We get the government we deserve. For those who voted for Biden, here it is. I hope you like it. For the rest of us, there is no love lost here. We long for the days, when just a few short months ago, we had a President who wanted America to be great and greater again. What do we have now? You tell me.

Ceding Civilization

We have nobody to blame but ourselves folks. We did this. Not overnight, but since the 1960's. Too many of us put our faith in Spock instead of the Word. Is this our karma? It just might be.

Yesterday was like a trip into the Twilight Zone. Or down to the coast of Florida, right after a Hurricane warning was issued. My wife and I needed to take a trip to Wal Mart to pick up some items. When we pulled in the parking lot, we noticed that all the windows were boarded up with (very expensive) plywood. Is there a bad storm coming? Sort of. If you call rioters from all over the area, coming to town to burn, damage, and destroy, a storm. It is now 2021. This is the world we live in. We are in the process of ceding our civilization.

When did this crap all start? This tacit acceptance of mayhem in our streets? That it is somehow okay to destroy what is not yours? Many of the rioters can justify what they are doing by simply saying they are "owed" something (like reparations). So they continue to loot and burn. Plus, they also believe assaulting law enforcement is within the bounds of normalcy.

Some think this started with Dr. Spock telling parents not to use any corporal punishment on their kids. Spock wanted a repudiation of what Proverbs 22:15 teaches us - "Sparing the rod, will spoil the child". Spock wanted us to just say "no-no Johnny, (or Jenny)" instead. Or, as we have evolved (or devolved), telling our kids their bad behavior is justified - for any such reason (none of them good).

A friend who recently moved to Florida, sent me a copy of a bill which is just about ready for Governor DeSantis to sign into law. It will give Florida a real "no nonsense" solution to anyone who desires to come into a Florida community, and cause mayhem. Big fines, long jail terms. I read the bill, and I like it.

In Minnesota, we do just the opposite. Another friend of mine, while in the MN House, put together a simple bill years ago, which would greatly increase the penalty for those who chose to close down a freeway and block traffic. The Democrat Governor refused to sign it. Why not? Most Democrats were raised in a Dr. Spock type of households.

Some folks think next week, all hell will break loose in Minnesota. That is just fine with the Minneapolis City Council. BTW - the Minneapolis City Council is 100% Democrats. In anticipation of next week, the Council passed a resolution (11-1), forbidding law enforcement from using any type of non-lethal measures against rioters. That means, no tear gas, no "flash bangs", no rubber bullets. What does that leave the cops with? Not much. Well played City Council! No wonder your city looks like a war torn Beirut right now. Another example of Democrats being raised in Dr. Spock households.

"Spare the rod and spoil the child". Even though the Holy Bible warned us of such, I don't believe that is what is coming. What is coming will look more like legions of adult children who act like The Bad Seed (a novel by William March).

We have nobody to blame but ourselves folks. We did this. Not overnight, but since the 1960's. Too many of us put our faith in Spock instead of the Word. Is this our karma? It just might be.

The hidden story

"Do I blame the cop for what happened? Nope. It was late, it was dark, and the cop knew one of them had a gun. It was one of those split second decisions where the training takes over - to say nothing of self preservation."

For those who might have missed this story, I don't blame you. Our news cycle is saturated with trial stuff from Minneapolis, and the fallout of the murder of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center. Throw in some nonsense about court packing in Washington, and soon you find us saturated with news. But in Chicago, there was a killing of a 13 year old boy by a police officer. There was no confusion by the officer, if he had a taser or his sidearm in his hand. He knew he had his firearm out. But there is a story behind the story.

Is this the first time a youth has been killed by gunfire in Chicago? No hardly. Happens every month it seems, with gang on gang violence. What do I mean? According to the Chicago Tribune, last year in 2020, between the period of New Years day and Labor Day, 24 youth, age 10 or under, were killed by gunfire in Chicago. What sets this most recent youth killing apart, is that he was shot by a cop. But there is more to this story.

This young man was with an older person, age 21. They (allegedly) had a gun, and were shooting at cars. The time - 2:30 in the morning. As a parent, when my kids were 13, I knew EXACTLY where they were, each and every night. Gun or no gun, what in the world was this young 13 year old doing, out at 2:30am, with a 21 year old man? Mom? Dad? Siblings? Hello?

Do I blame the cop for what happened? Nope. It was late, it was dark, and the cop knew one of them had a gun. It was one of those split second decisions where the training takes over - to say nothing of self preservation. For all this cop knew, there was a gun pointed at him, ready to fire. And one lucky shot in the dark, could have made his wife a widow.

Who did Mayor Light Headed blame? The cop, of course. Not the parents, for allowing this minor to be out WAY after curfew, hanging with a dangerous adult. If this is the kind of backing a cop gets from the Mayor, I would resign the next day and have my application sent out to every "red" city I know of. Meanwhile, we have a young man, dead, who will never see his 14th birthday. Chicago is a hot mess, and a cluster, all rolled into one pile of goo.

For a city with iron clad gun laws, Chicago once again is a war zone. Living in Chicago is much, much more dangerous than serving in Afghanistan. How dangerous is it? The year is less than four months old, and already Chicago has had 163 citizens shot and killed. The entire year of 2020, there were only 11 KIA in Afghanistan. If not for the Chicago cops, the number of dead and wounded would undoubtedly be much higher.

Whenever and wherever there is a shooting, there is usually a story behind the story. Always a complicated back story. As much as I respect the law enforcement in our neck of the woods, I would try and talk ANYONE out of being a cop in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago - and maybe even Brooklyn Center. Not worth it. Not even a little bit.

Biden's sinister packers

"Where do we go from here? Are we screwed, is there something legislatively the Republicans can do, or is it time to get the torches and pitchforks?"

Senator Biden, from years back, had a chance to pontificate in front of the Senate (something he was good at). The subject? Court packing. Biden did not like it. He talked about when FDR wanted to pack the court in years gone by. "That is a bone headed idea." This is one of the few things that I agree with Slo Joe on. But that was then, and this is now. Today (as was announced yesterday), Biden has his minions in the House and Senate, doing his bidding. To do what? Court packing legislation. Who is the point guy in the House? The infamous "Wadler" from New York.

But - here we go. This is the big battle coming up. Our only chance is to have enough sane Democrats in the Senate side with the Republicans. To beat this back. However, if the Senate adjudicator rules that the Senate can rule on this issue with only a 51 vote majority, and all Democrats "toe the line", this could be it. The spark which lights the fire.

One of the Republican Senators who was interviewed yesterday about this issue, had an interesting, yet ominous take. "This will take our court system, and turn it into part of the legislative branch. It will take the backstop, the safety net, out of any unconstitutional legislation." In other words, increasing the SCOTUS from 9 to 13, will give the Democrats carte blanche on anything. Tie that in with passing HR 1, and then making DC and Puerto Rico states, we will then have one party rule (socialists) going out to the horizon. The Great Reset will then be complete, and Slo Joe ("this a bone headed idea"), will have presided over it.

Where do we go from here? Are we screwed, is there something legislatively the Republicans can do, or is it time to get the torches and pitchforks? When Obama first became President, and made good on his promise to revamp our healthcare (ObamaCare), many of us were shocked. We knew that ObamaCare would be a game changer (and it was). But these radical changes that Biden and his minions in the House and Senate want to implement, make ObamaCare look like a walk in the park. These Biden driven changes in 2021, will end our Republic as we know it.

Some people think Biden is a "flip flopper". I disagree. What Biden is doing now, goes far beyond flip flopping. The Democrats have gone from the loyal opposition, to true enemies of the state. They are not enemies at the gate - they are inside the gate. They are in charge. And Biden is their leader.

This is something we all need to pay attention to. The wheels are already in motion. These are dangerous times.

Our ACAB issue

"Being a cop has always been a tough job. A dangerous job. Already this young year, there has been 96 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. 96 LEOs who did not make it home when their watch was over."

Yesterday, I had breakfast with a friend who serves in law enforcement. As we have been friends for some time now, we talked about many subjects, including what is happening in Brooklyn Center. We also discussed what is happening to our police forces, nationwide. How police are being besmirched and marginalized more and more by a small, yet very vocal, chattering class. How more and more, our law enforcement individuals are not getting the proper backing by the cities which hired them. It was a disturbing, yet enlightening conversation.

While we were on the subject, my friend told me of a consequence of what is happening to many of our police forces - especially in "blue" communities. Not only are some of the law enforcement forces being underfunded or de-funded, but the recruiting of new officers has become a huge problem. Why? Very few have interest in being a cop these days.

ACAB has become prolific graffiti in many areas of the country. For those who don't know what it stands for, it means All Cops Are Bastards. When did all this start? I mean, it was not that long ago that being a police officer meant something which good and positive. An honorable profession. And it still is today, as it is considered by many of us. However, there is a small and vocal community who want cops gone. If not gone, unarmed. Make them like Bobbies in the UK.

Being a cop has always been a tough job. A dangerous job. Already this young year, there has been 96 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. 96 LEOs who did not make it home when their watch was over. Some murdered in cold blood. I don't recall seeing any protests or riots in the aftermath of their deaths. "Blue lives" matter as much as anyone else's life, and I don't care what anybody says. They are people, some with families, and they are just like the rest of us.

We need to get this corrected, and soon. It is ripping the country apart. Where do I think this started? With our Divider-in-Chief, Barack H. Obama. With the Henry Lewis Gates incident with police. When, because Obama and Gates were buddies, before knowing all the facts, Obama said the police "acted stupidly". Then the infamous "beer summit". That in my opinion, was the start of this.

Next, throw in what Democrat Mayor de Blasio did to his police forces in New York City, and the script was becoming clear. Cops (according to many Democrats), don't matter any more. Then just this week, Rashida Tlaib tweeted out that we need to get rid of all of the cops - everywhere. And yes, she is a Democrat Congresswoman.

As far as I am concerned, my opinion of law enforcement has never changed. I respect and honor what they do for us. The Sheriff and his Deputies in the county I reside in, live up to their "Protect and Serve" commitment ever day. They are second to none in practicing valor and professionalism. They always have the backs of the citizens, and we have their backs.

ACAB? Not hardly. I like ACAH better. That would be All Cops Are Heroes. What happened in Brooklyn Center last weekend might have been just a horrible accident. The jury, if it comes to that, will decide what it was. None of us, wanted to see what happened to that young man. But it did, and now we have to deal with it.  We have to deal with it without painting all cops with the same broad brush, or resort to the burning and looting of property belonging to innocent citizens.

We are in trouble folks. Deep, deep trouble. The George Floyd riots were just the canary in the coalmine. And now we have Brooklyn Center. This is not good...

Minnesota's hot mess

"How will the Chauvin trial and the adjudication of the killing of Daunte Wright play out? No clue. All I can do is hope that nothing else bad happens on top of those two things. We just can't take much more national publicity."

When I worked at a former company, our customer, our teammate, and our marketing staff were all from the East Coast. Quite often, they would make fun of us Minnesotans. I can remember this state being called "flyover land", "Mini-no-place", "Mini-hopeless", or just plain "North". No respect. Just a frozen Omaha. Nothing ever happened here - just nine months of winter, followed by three months of mosquitos and ticks.

Then came the George Floyd incident, followed by four days of total mayhem, violence, arson and theft in Minneapolis. When it was all said and done, the city looked like it had been hit by a MOAB. Could we heal from that please, and then get out of the national spotlight? Nope. Our trial of the century, was in the offing. Former officer Chauvin was charged with murder and manslaughter. He was to be tried first. Then later in the year, the other three former officers are to be tried together.

Just when it appeared that things could not get more convoluted and confusing in our state, an incident this past weekend in Brooklyn Center, led to the death of a 20 year old black man named Daunte Wright. He was shot (maybe accidently) by a white 20 year veteran police officer. Then all hell broke loose (again). Not to the extent that happened in Minneapolis after the George Floyd incident, but still enough to be highlighted on the national news. It was bad enough and put half of the metro on curfew the next evening.

All of a sudden, our once sleepy little state, who never made the national news, can't stay out of the news. Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle, are all the current epicenters for social unrest in the nation. Ironically (or not), all three cities have recently voted to underfund, or defund their city police departments. How bad is it? There is no grace left anywhere. The city of Minneapolis is like a powder keg right now, and bad actors from parts unknown are ready to come here and raise hell (again). The city of Mary Tyler Moore, is now looking more like a scene from Dante's Inferno.

Can Minnesota ever once again go back to being a Sleepy Hollow? Fly over land? The land of boredom and long winter naps? Or is this our new muse? The lawlessness in Minneapolis is like most of us have never seen. Carjackings, have become more common than uncommon. It is so bad, that people who were suppose to go downtown to the convention center to get a Covid shot - decided it was too risky. They turned down that opportunity, to wait until they could get a shot someplace other than Minneapolis.

How will the Chauvin trial and the adjudication of the killing of Daunte Wright play out? No clue. All I can do is hope that nothing else bad happens on top of those two things. We just can't take much more national publicity.

Unfit for duty - again

"Walz could be 100% right, or 100% wrong. Or somewhere in-between. The bottom line is this - Walz has shown one more time, he is unfit for duty."

The worst thing which could happen to the Twin Cities area, happened again last night. Three people lost their lives to violence. Two were involved in a gunfight, while driving in two different cars. What happened, nobody knows as yet. All we do know is this - two people, decided to use guns to settle a difference, and both ended up dying because of it. Is there a back story to this incident? Probably - but we don't know what it is as yet. All we know is that two families are mourning today.

In addition, we had a police involved shooting in Brooklyn Center yesterday. What do we know about it so far? Not much. We know a cop pulled a young black man over due to an outstanding warrant (allegedly), and then something happened. The young black man got into his car to drive away. Then he was shot by the police. Is there a back story here? Count on it. At this point in time, we simply don't know what is. We only know one thing - just like with the other two men who shot each other, there is a family in Brooklyn Center who is mourning today.

I guess however, there is one person who says he knows exactly what happened yesterday in Brooklyn Center. Our hapless Governor. The one who allowed parts of the city of Minneapolis to burn to the ground during the George Floyd riots. In true "Rocks and Cows" fashion, our Governor immediately tweeted out yesterday, that we needed to pray for the young man's family, as this was another case of a "young black man being shot by police". As is said in show business, that was a "mic dropping" moment. Walz does not know what happened yesterday. He was only speculating. Playing for points. Walz could be 100% right, or 100% wrong. Or somewhere in-between. The bottom line is this - Walz has shown one more time, he is unfit for duty.

As the next few days unfold, we will find out more of the truth. Body cameras will be analyzed, witnesses will be interviewed, and more and more, the real story will be learned. Will this end up in a trial like the Chauvin incident? Maybe - but right now, we don't know.

Truthfully, after the George Floyd incident, I thought we would not see a police shooting again involving police and a young black man. The fuse is way too short in the community.

Besides having true justice play out in the aftermath of yesterday's tragedy, the most important thing for us to have is leaders acting like leaders. Both Walz and Frey failed miserably on this during the Floyd riots. It seems like Walz did not learn his lesson from last summer. Now it is up to the public to pay the price for Walz's dereliction of duty.

President? Royalty? Or just a marionette?

"The plan by the marionettists is simple. Have things so mucked up, and so tilted by 2022, it will be impossible for the Republicans to take back the House and/or Senate. It will keep them a minority party forever."

"I have a phone and a pen", Obama would often times tell us. And he would go hog wild with Executive actions, most of which should have been handled by Congress. How do I know? The Constitution in Article 1, Section 1, tells us "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States...". Please note that nothing is mentioned about the President. He (or she) has zero legislative powers - unless of course, you are counting fiat Executive actions.

It seems that Slo Joe was taking good notes when he was Obama's Veep. Because now that Slo Joe is living in the White House, he is papering the town with his own Executive actions. If Obama thought he was king, Biden thinks of himself as an emperor.

Most of us have heard this story many times. In the early days of our fledgling republic, some of the Founders wanted George Washington to be our king. Washington, being as wise as he was, declined. He did not want another King George type of government. So, Washington agreed to be our first President. A President who lived within the confines of our newly minted Constitution. Oh, how times have changed over the centuries.

Currently, we have an old man, in the early stages of dementia, serving as our President. His handlers, are acting like marionettists, pulling the stings on this hapless old man playing the part of the marionette. Congress, who is also part of this great cabal, is sitting in the wings, just waiting to take their direction not from their voters, but from the marionettists.

The way things are operating right now, is sick and wrong. It is antithetical to the way the Framers wanted our republic to work. But that is part of the plan. The marionettists want our republic to be replaced by a democracy, and our economic system to be socialism rather than capitalism. And the people, the voters, who hired everyone who serves in Washington? They are either just along for the ride, or are being taken for a ride.

What Biden and the marionettists are given us right now, is a legislative example of shock and awe. Throw everything, including the kitchen sink at the wall, and let's see what sticks. The "infrastructure" bill has barely been broached, and now we are on to a commission to study "court packing". Plus, stirring in the background, the marionettists are starting to rev up the 51st (WDC) and 52nd (Puerto Rico) statehood issue.

When Obama thought he was king, it put the country on a dangerous trajectory. With Biden, things are even more sinister. We have nameless, faceless string pullers, acting as the marionettists right now. Unelected people, running (and now ruining) the joint. If this does not alarm you, it should.

The plan by the marionettists is simple. Have things so mucked up, so tilted by 2022, it will be impossible for the Republicans to take back the House and/or Senate. It will keep them a minority party forever.

By doing so, the road will be paved for the marionettists to initiate the Great Reset. And when that happens, it will be lights out. It will be sunset time, the end, for the greatest republic, the greatest system of government, the world has ever known.

Woken up? Woke? Or just a joke?

"This is the way Joe Biden and the socialists "bring us together". By making us hate and distrust each other more than under Obama."

For a short period of time, Deval Patrick had thrown his hat in the ring to be the Democrat nominee for President. When asked by the press what he would bring to the party, he started out with the usual socialist Democrat dribble, but then said something interesting and revealing. "It is not so important that many of us are "woke" right now - what I want to do is ensure we continue to wake up." Translation = he was all in, for the Great Reset. And, he could not wait to drive that train. But alas and alack - Patrick's campaign fizzled out and he went back to his former life.

In case you missed it this week, the new CDC director who does not know her butt from a six pack of beer, gave a dire warning. We have another pandemic. GASP! What? Is it one of the Covid - 19 variants? Smallpox? The new Covid -21 that Gates has warned us about? No - much worse than that. Racism. We have a pandemic of racism, and need to wake up and get "woke" about it!

Also, in case you have missed it, Biden has ordered our military to get more "woke". Become aware of our racist history, and how we are strapped with white privilege. Slo Joe even had the SECDEF order a force wide stand down, to search for (gasp!) white supremists in the ranks. Never mind the force could also contain members of the BLM and Antifa. Nope. The military must search the ranks to see if any Proud Boys or QAnon slipped in through the back door.

Why is this so critical for our military? Why do we need to give them an anal exam, to see what their politics are (or were)? The standing joke in my days in the military, was the mission of the Marines. "Break things and kill people sir", the saying would go. In other words, our fighting men and women were not trained to be reconcilers or pacifists. The fighting branch of our military was trained to be a lean, mean fighting machine. To keep the peace through strength. The others in the military, had the job of supporting these brave sailors and soldiers.

The narrative the left is spewing right now is the worse I have seen in my adult life. Convince the white people they have a racist past, and are blinded to change, due to their white privilege. At the same time, convince black folk they are still highly disadvantaged, discriminated against, hopeless, and without the cloak of big government, have no future. This is the way Joe Biden and the socialists "bring us together". By making us hate and distrust each other, more than we did under Obama.

I guess the message of Dr. King fell deaf on many ears in the new socialist party. Color blind, and content of character, are antithetical concepts to the message of being "woke". My feeling of "woke" right now is it is no joke. It is dangerous. It is ruining the country. Ruining our fine military. Ruining our healthcare. All because of the Great Reset, and the traitors who want to see it come to fruition.

Wake up citizens and patriots! The "woke folk" are really the enemies at the gate. Nothing more, nothing less. On second thought, these misfits are inside the gate. Inside Washington. Stay ready - the brainwashing brought to us by the "woke folk" has already begun.

Play ball, or foul ball?

"People should listen to David Wells and give it serious consideration. For a guy like Wells to walk away from MLB, maybe that was the canary in the coal mine for the rest of us. Play ball? Not any longer. Now it is just a foul ball."

This morning on the news, there was a story about David Wells. For those who are not familiar with that name, Wells is a former major league pitcher, who is one of the rare players who has pitched a perfect game. Although somewhat portly, Wells pitched for the Yankees and the Blue Jays, and was considered to be one of the best "lefties" around. Now retired from MLB, he had an interesting take on the All Star Game snafu down in Atlanta.

"I am done. And it hurts me to say this, as baseball has been such a big part of my life for so long. But I will not watch another game." Guess what? Wells is not the only person who is giving MLB the "deep six" this season. Some, maybe forever. Why? Because the putz who is the MLB commish, decided to take America's pastime, and turn it into a "Woke industry". This was a dumb, dumber, and dumbest thing he could have done. PLUS - to make matters even worse, he gave credence to the BIG LIE, that Georgia's new voter law was racist. Or as Slo Joe says, "Jim Crow".

Michael Jordan once said about politics, "Republicans buy sneakers too." Laura Ingraham wrote a book titled, "Shut up and Sing". How are these two items related? Same theme. If you are in sports or entertainment, you would do yourself a favor, by sticking to your knitting. Stay out of politics.

The blow back from this bone headed decision to move the All Star Game from Atlanta (50% black) to Denver (9.2% black), could be enormous. All because of a BIG LIE. Plus, many of the folks in Atlanta who would have benefited from the 100 - 150M dollars the game would have brought to Atlanta - are black.

I have followed the Minnesota Twins since 1961, when they went from the Senators, to an expansion team in Minnesota. I watched all three world series they played in. I knew the "65" lineup by heart. Rich Rollins was my favorite player. I still have homer hankies from the "87" series. That being said, I could give a rip about the Twins right now. Why? They are part of the MLB. And the MLB, just like the NBA, is dead to me. The NFL may not be dead to me as yet, but they are on life support.

People should listen to David Wells and give it serious consideration. For a guy like Wells to walk away from MLB, maybe that was the canary in the coal mine for the rest of us. Play ball? Not any longer. Now it is just a foul ball.

Not funny, just STOOPID!

"It has been said by many folks much smarter than I, the only thing more STOOPID than the elected Democrats in the state or federal government (especially the President), are the minions who voted for them. That is not funny - just a fact."

This morning on the news, Tom Holman (former acting Director of ICE), responded to what Ms. Nancy said yesterday. Pelosi said the southern border is in great shape under Biden, not a mess like it was under Trump. Holman said, "If she really believes that, she is the dumbest person ever to serve in the House." I don't know about that Tom - the Democrats have legions serving or who have served who every day, put a face on the term "STOOPID".

And by the way, that includes Senator Joseph Biden, who somehow snuck into the White House. This guy a piece of work. I mean, how STOODID is this guy who has NEVER worked? When ask if the 28% proposed corporate tax rate would hurt consumers, his reply was the typical uninformed, uneducated, Democrat response. "Come on man! (my add). If a company pays higher taxes, they do not pass those costs on to the consumer." (his add). Hey Joe, you moron! That is 100% false!

Then the philandering, and equally clueless Governor of New York, is about to do something equally as STOOPID. To combat the massive flight of money out of New York, leaving to go down to zero tax states like Florida or Texas, Cuomo had a bright idea. He is going to raise taxes in the already very high taxed state of New York by another 2%. Anyone with an IQ higher than a potato, knows that is a DUMB and STOOPID idea. But don't tell that to Cuomo - he thinks he is the smartest person in the room.

An honest media would be skewering Biden every day right now, just based on how he has mucked up our southern border. In Biden's clueless, and increasingly foggy brain, everything on the border is hunky dory. Even though Greg Abbott (Texas Governor) has just announced, in Texas government sponsored NGO holding facilities for young illegals, there is something very wrong. It is an (alleged) nesting area for sexual abuse of youth. In other words - a government funded pedo location. In Biden's world of la-la, he just blows that information off as politics. After all, everything bad on the border is Trump's fault.

Biden's border administration has also ordered the very recent posting about border control catching two baddies from Yemen, be taken down. Taken down and hidden. Why? Bad press for Biden. By the way, earlier we have also caught four other baddies, who were also on the terror watch list. Plus yesterday, a convicted MS-13 baddie was caught sneaking over the border. And those are only the ones who have caught. Think of how many baddies are in with the "get aways".

There is nothing funny about Biden nor his merry group of socialists. Besides the White House, they are contaminating the House and Senate. These are people who are intentionally using the Great Reset, to destroy this great country.

It has been said by many much smarter than I, the only thing more STOOPID than the elected Democrats in the state or federal government (especially the President), are the minions who voted for them. That is not funny - it is just a fact.
