Biden's Buddy and Basement

"2020 will be the election between an iconoclast and a Washington player. The iconoclast does nothing but fix things - the Washington player however, just keeps the status quo - or worse."

After being up north for a few days, my batteries have been recharged. Totally, recharged. I mean, I was fired up before I left. That is for the re-election of the President. But driving though HARD CORE Trump Country, was a shot in the arm for me. It once again, drove home just how important it is to get this man re-elected. How devastating it would be for the country, maybe even the world, to have Joe the basement hermit elected. We would be replacing a man who is owned by nobody, to a swamp dweller who was, and is, owned by everybody. Our government would be filled up with Hunter Biden wannabes.

If I were a Democrat, and had to support the ticket of Biden/Harris, I just might just throw up in my mouth. With this ticket, there is no "there, there" (to quote Slick Willie). Biden has done spit in his 47 years, of sucking off the government teat. Harris is an opportunist extraordinaire, (right Willie Brown?).

At least when we ran Bob Dole and Jack Kemp against Slick Willie and ALGORE, we ran two men of high (very high), character. But that was it. Dole and Kemp could not match the pizzazz of Mr. Boxer Shorts and the Climate Wizard. As much as we supported the Dole and Kemp ticket, we knew it would probably be a lost cause. And it was.

This year, in 2020, we don't have phonies like Clinton and Gore running for re-election. We have possibly the BEST President/Vice President team - ever. It is so very refreshing! I honored John McCain's service to this country.

While in the service, I worked for his McCain's dad, (when I first went in). I remember John McCain as a POW. But as a Senator, McCain was lacking. So when the ticket of McCain/Palin was to run against Obama/Biden, if was going to really be a long shot. Most of us liked Palin - she had a great story. But McCain has too much time in the Washington parlor, and the trust level for him, from the patriots and citizens, was tepid at best. We all know the result of that election.

Then came the ObamaCare mess. The economy was in the tank, and our first mixed race president was operating more like a Sandinista than a Democrat. Obama's Vice President was more useless than (never mind), and the Obama/Biden re-election was far from certain. The RNC decided to run another long term RINO (Romney) and a "dollars and cents" guy from the House named Paul Ryan. Even though this ticket did not wet anyone's appetite, Obama was SO vulnerable, we backed Romney and Ryan.

Then came the final debate when Romney had Obama on a very important issue. Right then, Romney had him. He could have unleashed an uppercut, and left Obama looking like the leftist he was. But no - for reasons many of us will never understand, Romney gave him some slack. Let him off the hook. Just enough slack to allow him to finish the debate unscathed. Decision - Obama in the re-election.

In 2016, we had this guy come out of nowhere. Some rich builder from Manhattan. He told us Washington was broken (yup!), and he knew how to fix it. He won the nomination, and he and his running mate were up against the heir apparent to the throne - Hillary and her Antifa (father) husband. Slowly, we all warmed up to this guy who did not speak Washington speak. In fact, sometimes, his language was way too abrupt. Too harsh. But when he won, he did what he said. He did what he promised to do. All of a sudden, America started looking great again.

What does all this mean? 2020 will be THE election for the ages. The race between an iconoclast and a Washington player. The iconoclast does nothing but fix things - the Washington player will just keeps the status quo - or worse.

People ask, why support Trump is this election? Until 2016, most of us have wondered in the wilderness. Then in 2016, we bet for an inside straight with this builder from NYC. And it was a winning bet.

If we allow him to continue, Donald Trump will take this country further than it ever has before. But - if we take Biden - it will be back to the future - all over again. And then it will be over. No more America. No more American Experience.

A boy and a fish...

"No politics today - just life. There will be time for politics tomorrow when we are home. Today - this is about life. And the good life in northern Minnesota."

Most of us have had this experience with our kids and/or our grandies. Buying that first Zebco type fishing rod for our youngins. Rigging the new kid's rod, with something simple for a first fishing experience. Basic hook, small sinker, and a small bobber. Then taking that child out on a boat, or to be with him or her, while standing on a dock. Putting on the first worm. Teaching how to hook the worm twice (or thrice), to keep the "robber baron" fish away, from stealing the bait. Then, after what might be a short time, or a longer time, that tug on the line. "I got one! I think I got one!" The excitement of pulling up a 3 inch perch on the end of the line. In the child's mind, it might as well have been a 26" Walleye.

Today, my son-in-law and I, took our grandson out for his first fishing trip. He was pumped. It was chilly and windy, so he put on his dino jacket, as well as a life jacket. We had a rented a pontoon, bought two dozen night crawlers at the local bait store, and then ventured out in to the azure blue skies, with somewhat windy conditions.

I did not hold out much hope. It was too windy to hold the pontoon in good position. As I was trying to keep us leeward and close to a nice row of bulrushes, I feared this day might be a bust. Which would be too bad. Yesterday we had such a stellar day up at Lake Itasca State Park. The grandies had the chance to cross the "mighty Mississippi" (which some call the "Minnesota baptism"), and the weather was 4.0. The only left on the "tick items" was having the boy catch a fish. And that he did!

As I was almost being blown in the bulrushes, I heard this loud (and somewhat squeaky) voice - "I got one!" It was a time of joy and jubilation - for a few minutes. Once the fish was released, and the boy set about to catch another one, the unbelievable happened. His rod broke. The cheap, crappy rod his dad bought him, which was identical to the cheap, crappy rod I bought for him - broke. And for a short period of time, that broke his heart. This was the rod which caught his first fish. And he was more than sad - until we got back to the cabin, and we could give him some chow. Instant recovery.

No politics today - just life. There will be time for politics tomorrow when we are home. Today - this is about life. And the good life in northern Minnesota. This is now the home of the free and the brave. No more, no less. What is happening in Minneapolis these people want no part of. They just want the simple pleasures in life. Like - seeing a child catch his or her new fish.

Trump Country!

"Why vote for the President? Look around. The folks up here see a guy from the business world who has not been bought. He is running against a guy who has been bought by everyone."

Okay - the Bird has been on assignment this weekend. Shortly after the conclusion of the RNC (what a closing night!), the fam and I headed north to see if Trump Country was for real. Living close to the burned out wreck of a city once called the City of Lakes, with all the blue kool aid drinkers who still live there, I needed to find out what life was like outside the "bubble". And we did.

On the way up to Park Rapids, it was like driving on the Trump highway. Dozens and dozens of signs, flags, and bumper stickers for the President. In addition, there were some for Pete (CD 8) and Jason (US Senate). Once in a great while you would see a lonely Biden sign which had a yellow sign next to it saying, "Vote of the country, not for the person". My response? Good idea! That is what we are doing. Only this person will preserve the country as well.

What happened to Rand Paul and his wife was terrible. But it could have not be scripted better. After the President's speech (which talked about the lawlessness in our large cities), to have these mutts and thugs try and accost a United States Senator, worked totally against the socialists. They are mutts and thugs, and there is now is video tape to prove it. Trump said he is going to give those four cops who protected the Rands, some kind of medal at the White House. And no doubt he will.

The cities suck right now. It is not just Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, or New York. Most are  being run by idiots. HOWEVER - in the heartland, you do not have that problem. Government is still by the people, and for the people. Folks still know the value of a dollar earned, is a dollar kept. Our President has the wealth to say one term might be enough, and then go live in one of these out state paradises. But he will not. He is a believer in this country, both urban and rural. He will run again, against the statist Biden, win large, and continue to take this country to greater heights.

Why vote for the President? Look around. The folks up here see a guy from the business world who has not been bought. He is running against a guy who has been bought by everyone. Biden has played the Washington game longer than some who are reading this have been alive. Biden will take this country back to Obama-vile. "S**t City", as some say. That may be okay for some, but not the patriots and citizens. You know - the folks who grow our food and make this country work?

As much as I supported Donald Trump before this trip, I can double that right now. This is good vs. evil, Jedi vs. Sith, normal vs. abnormal. To survive, we must go forward, To thrive, we must go forward. To lose what we have, we only need vote Biden. And we ain't going to let that happen. We have too much at stake.

The Jedi Knights vs. the Sith Lords

"The Jedi Knights will move this nation forward into a future which will be bright for all. The Sith Lords on the other hand, offer no future."

Okay. I could not help myself. I know the title of this sounds a bit corny, but this is what has come to mind this week, after seeing most of the RNC, and all of the DNC. The difference between the two parties has gone from shades of gray (decades ago), to absolute black and white (today). One party harbors the guardians of the light, and the other are the purveyors of darkness. One party is trying to preserve the America as founded, and the other party is trying to turn America into something unrecognizable. This is my version of the Jedi Knights against the Sith Lords. It could not be more cut and dried than that.

The Sith Lords (aka, the socialist Democrats), had four nights of darkness during the DNC. Many have been seduced by the Siths on the dark side - the media, education, Hollywood, Antifa, BLM, atheists, anarchists, and so forth. Once the urban minions lost any sense of their history or civics, they became easy targets for the Sith regime. Their numbers grew, and their vision darkened. Cities in our great nation started to burn. Police were painted as villains, rather than the heroes they really are. Looting became "normal", as entitlement grew to mean everyone gets everything. The world of the Sith became dark and foreboding.

Then this week, the Jedi Knights (aka, the conservatives, patriots and citizens), burst on the scene. For the past three nights, we heard from Americans, who had a wonderful stories to tell. How America looks under President Donald J. Trump. The stories of how President has impacted and affected people, were numerous and wonderful.

Rather than apologize for this great nation, President Trump has tried to make this great nation even greater. The Sith Lords however, have been out to destroy his Presidency. They continue to throw shade on this great President, trying to snuff out his light, with their darkness.

The Jedi Knights are the party of life - life from the time of conception until the moment of natural death. They are the party of freedom and liberty - they eschew all tyranny, foreign and especially domestic. Equal opportunity is the Jedi Knight's call to arms - the Sith Lords on the other hand, promise equal outcomes to all - regardless of ingenuity or effort. The Jedi's still see America as that shining city on the hill, bathed in opportunity and promise. The Sith Lords only see America as the land of rich robber barons, controlling millions of laborers, hopeless and impoverished, with barely enough to eat.

If you are undecided who to vote for this November, I encourage you to go to YouTube, and watch each speech from each convention all over again. If you are of fair mind, the answer to whom to vote for should be clearer than obvious. The Jedi Knights will move this nation forward into a future which will be bright for all. The Sith Lords on the other hand, offer no future. Our once great and glorious republic, will be relegated to the ash heap of history. That is, if history is even taught anymore.

Tell Laura, we don't love her...

"My final words? Tell Laura, we don't love her. Nope. Laura, you can just go away and spin yourself to death in the middle of the Gulf. Too harsh? Sorry."

As a child of the sixties, one of my favorite tear jerker songs from that era was Tell Laura, I love her. But that was then, and this is now. The Laura of 2020, I have no time for. None. This tropical storm in the Gulf, has blossomed into quite the storm. Like a strong Cat 2, expected to reach Cat 3 by noon, and a Cat 4 by the time it makes landfall. The bulls-eye will be somewhere by the Louisiana and Texas border. Right now, it looks like Port Arthur will be dead center.

Port Arthur? Why does that town sound familiar? For reasons that escape me, we have decided to build the nation's largest oil refinery right in the middle of hurricane row. In other words, this town has been hit before, it will be hit tonight, and no doubt, it will be hit again in the future.

The Motiva Refinery is the largest refinery in North America. It has the capacity to handle over 600 million barrels of oil a day. It is now offline. This Laura storm is so big, so bad, over 80% of all refineries on the Gulf Coast have now gone off line. How bad could this be? First off, the refineries were operating at a reduced rate due to lower gasoline demand because of COVID. But the real kicker is this - not only will Laura be a Cat 4, the storm surge is going to be one for the books. In other words, if the refineries get hit with a big storm surge, it could be a while before they are up and running.

I remember the last big storm which affected the refineries. I wondered then, as I wonder now - is that the only place they can be? They are as vulnerable - as vulnerable as our electric grid. Plus - the biggest of all the refineries (Motiva) is foreign owned. Yes, it is owned by the Saudis. I hate that as much as I hate the Chinese owning a bunch of our stuff. Not a good play. Not at all.

This morning, I am headed out to fill up my truck, car, and spare gas cans. If this storm is as bad as portends to be, gas will spike sooner rather than later. Besides the refineries, Laura could lay a lick on Houston and Galveston as well. This could cost many millions in damages. There could be loss of life. This will not be good.

My final words? Tell Laura, we don't love her. Nope. Laura, you can just go away and spin yourself to death in the middle of the Gulf. Too harsh? Sorry.

Derecho in the heartland

"The folks in Iowa are pretty darn hardy and tough. They will rebuild the structures which were damaged, they will clear the damaged crops from the land. This fall, they will prep those same fields for planting next spring."

Another story which received very little play was the mega-storm which hit the mid-west on August 10th. Not only is it a big story, it is also a sad story indeed. The farmers in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa were having a pretty darn good year. The corn was thick and huge, the soybeans looking excellent. The moisture received for the year was more than adequate. All they needed now, was some dryer weather around harvest time and they would have another "bin buster" this year. Then on August 10th, all hell broke loose.

A derecho hit. A somewhat rare weather phenom which is becoming more common as of late. It is the convergence of many thunderstorms into one giant storm. The winds are more than impressive - they are cataclysmic. Iowa took the brunt of the storm. In particular, the area around Cedar Falls and Waterloo. It damaged over 8,200 homes, flattened 13 million acres of corn (about a third of the state's crop), and left tens of thousands without power.

It would have almost been better if Iowa had been hit by a dozen tornadoes. As it was, the derecho was like an inland hurricane. It is big, and it was bad. The winds often time, gusting to over 100 mph. In past derecho events, winds have been clocked as high as 130 mph. A field of corn is no match for winds like that.

Not only were houses damaged, businesses were damaged, crops and storage bins destroyed, and the power grid took a real hit. There is not much we can do about protecting our agri-business and structures against future derecho events, but we can sure protect and improve our grid. Our grid is not only vulnerable, it is way too centralized. We need to update our grid not only in Iowa, but also nation wide. Maybe the upcoming smaller and more efficient nuclear plants will offer some hope. I will address that technology in a future article.

As bad as the storm was in Iowa, and as decimated as Iowa's corn crop is, here is the ray of hope for the nation. Corn is grown (to some extent) in most of our 50 states. Iowa produces the most, but Minnesota, Nebraska, and Illinois are right behind Iowa. Even with losing 1/3 of Iowa's crop, the nation should still have a good harvest. We can still feed not only our country, but also ship corn overseas to help feed the world.

The folks in Iowa are pretty darn hardy and tough. They will rebuild the structures which were damaged, they will clear the damaged crops from the land. This fall, they will prep those same fields for planting next spring. Some might need federal dollars (it is estimated the damage will be at least $4 billion), so that should be immediately distributed.

Are more derecho events possible in the future? Unfortunately, yes. Some say the increased number of these things might be from climate change. And they could be. Maybe we should send the clean up bill to China and India, since they are the biggest contributors to global warming. What say you ALGORE?

Rabbit Holes? Fact or Fiction?

"Anything to hurt the President is red meat to the press. Anything. I will say this however - 2020, as if this year could not get any stranger."

If you love conspiracy theories, there is probably not a better time to be alive. I mean, the internet is literally popping right now with all kinds of theories. These range from the subtle to the apocalyptic. Many of them have to do with the Deep State, George Soros, Globalism, the UN, and so forth. However, those are only the top layer of the rabbit hole. When you go deeper, it gets more and more like the X Files.

This past weekend, some of these conspiracy theories have jumped from the tabloids to the main stream press. Like, the subject of QAnon came up on a Sunday show. Chris Wallace asked Mark Meadows (Trump's COS) about a reporter who recently asked the President about QAnon. The reporter asked about the rumor that QAnon is out to expose a secret cult in parts of our government which child traffics and worse. When the President was asked if he supports a group which is trying to stop this alleged child abuse, Trump responded, "Is that a bad thing?" That was the match which lit the fire.

This is not new stuff, but the theory that the President supports QAnon is heating up. First off, for those who do not know, what is QAnon? "Q", is for the leader (unknown who it is), who has a high level "Q" clearance and is an inside player. "Anon" stands for his anonymous followers in the cause. The rumor is, that this organization really got some teeth, when some extra salacious details were leaked out from Anthony Wiener's laptop. Then more damning evidence was found on John Pedosta's emails, which Wikileaks had obtained. When the random pieces from different theories started to fit together, all of sudden we had a jig saw puzzle.

Ready for more? The Republicans in Texas also have a motto about the coming storm. "The Storm", is also the term allegedly used by QAnon for the coming mass arrest and prosecution of scores of Democrats and Hollywood elites, who run a giant pedo ring. That is as deep as I have researched. Trust me, if you are interested, there is a treasure trove of sites on the internet, which can take you down as many rabbit holes as you care to go.

But on the surface level, here is the current buzz. The media is going nuts right now trying to tie in the President with this "right wing hate group". When Meadows was asked about QAnon, he told Wallace he had never heard of it before. He needed to Google it, to find out what it was. Here is what I find interesting. QAnon, which is shadowy at best, is being tied into the President. This is so loose a connection, so theoretical, it almost makes the Russian hoax look real. BUT - Antifa and BLM are absolutely tied in with the Democrats. What do we hear from that media about that nexus? Crickets.

Like I said, I have now told you what I know (and it is not much). I suspect however, we will hear more from the MSM, as this is now being tossed around. Anything to hurt the President is red meat to the press. Anything. I will say this however - 2020, as if this year could not get any stranger.

Proud Boys standing in the Gap?

"The table is set for social unrest like this country has not seen for decades - maybe ever. Once the election is over, if you think Antifa is going away, you are fooling yourself."

If anyone wanted to get a sneak peek at how our new civil war was going to look, they need look no further than Portland. I mean, it was only a matter of time before something like this was bound to happen. Just like with the Jets and the Sharks in West Side Story, two rival gangs were going at it yesterday up in Portland. Only, this was not part of a movie. This is real life, in this most unreal year of 2020. The Proud Boys and Antifa, faced off against each other.

Now I confess, I don't know a lot about the Proud Boys. So, I have done some research. The Proud Boys have a website. I have looked at their core values on their website. Without going into great detail on their core values, let me sum it up this way - the Proud Boys are the ying to Antifa's yang. They are the new pioneers, the new unelected sheriffs in town. They are a product, a result of this age of social unrest and mayhem. They refer to themselves as "Western Chauvinists". As anti-Trump as Antifa is, that is as pro-Trump the Proud Boys are.

The weapons of war that Antifa uses are the same as what are used against the cops. Baseball bats, fireworks, lasers, urine, feces, paint, bleach and so forth. The Proud Boys come armed with paintball guns, mace, and bats. Both sides are dressed in combat gear. But the Proud Boys have something in their favor that the local cops do not. They are not afraid of being video taped or fired. They don't need to stand there and "take it" from the misfits. They can punch back harder than they were punched. Frankly, it is a miracle then the Proud Boys and Antifa (or BLM) mix it up, nobody has been killed or seriously hurt.

Actually, there are many of us on the right who have grown very weary of seeing Antifa carry the day in our cities. Last night it was Denver's turn. Breaking glass, fires, flag burning, and so forth. The cops were able to arrest nine perps, although the number of trouble makers far exceeded nine. And who knows if these nine will even be charged.

I think our police forces need help right now. They are exhausted, outnumbered, and quite often, un-supported by their city leaders. They arrest bad guys, and then some pencil necked DA refuses to charge them. "They are just a bunch of peaceful kids exercising their First Amendment Rights". Bull crap! They are rioters and thugs! If the socialists running these cities won't take care of Antifa, maybe the Proud Boys will.

The table is set for social unrest like this country has not seen for decades - maybe ever. Once the election is over, if you think Antifa is going away, you are fooling yourself. In fact, there is a rumor Antifa will start more trouble in many of our cities this week, just to upstage the RNC.

War is coming. In fact, war may already be here. Our police forces who uphold the law, are the ones who always keep war from happening in our cities. However, when our police forces are neutered, de-funded, or eliminated - then it becomes warlord against warlord. That is what is happening now. It is morons like Bill de Blasio who have caused this. Remember that, when the ship really hits the sand. And most importantly - remember that in November.

No more Democrats - PLEASE!

"USA, run by today's clueless socialists in charge (Biden would just be a spectator), would be worse than a disaster. That is not hyperbole - that is fact."

With everything else going on these days, it is easy to let some stories go unnoticed. For example, even though this happens every year, have you noticed the current fire season in California? Some fire experts are saying this year is shaping up to be the worst ever. And why is that? Weather for one. Southern and central California are arid. Sometimes wet, usually dry. Then throw in the absolute mismanagement of the state. The Democrat leadership somehow thinks it is better to let underbrush go au naturel, than thin it out. Once underbrush is dead, and it gets dry outside, underbrush is then known as fuel.

But it gets worse. When you read this, keep in mind that "Sleepy Joe" and his merry band of misfits, want to mandate 100% "clean energy" (nationwide) by 2050. California has mandated that by 2030 (gosh - less than ten years away), 50% of their energy will be from renewable sources. How is that working out this year, when only 33% of all energy has to come from renewable sources? Can you spell "rolling blackout"? Wait - what about hydroelectric? What about it? Works good if there is normal rainfall. However, this year there is not. Less water, less electricity. Plus, many power plants have been taken offline. California is a now a textbook example of what will happen to our country if the Democrats take over in 2021.

Besides allowing California to burn to a crisp, Democrats are also allowing many of our cities to also burn. Hearing over and over, "These are just some peaceful protesters exercising their First Amendment Rights", makes me want to hurl. They are not peaceful at all. They are terrorists. They are hoodlums. They are enemies of the state. And yet, the Democrat Mayors and Governors protect them with an aegis of nonsense. Their cities burn, and yet when the President sends in federal law enforcement to protect federal assets (perfectly legal), the nitwits running those cities scream bloody murder.

After he took the oath, it took President Trump months to untangle the cobwebs of regulation that Obama/Biden laid on our businesses. So many regulations, it was almost impossible to operate at a normal profit. President Trump decided to "plow the road" for our businesses. Get rid of all the obstacles that Obama/Biden set in place. Fix all the trade deals which have severely disadvantaged our companies. Stop our slide into globalism, which would have eventually made us a slave to the UN - or worse.

Many pundits much wiser than I, are all saying the similar things right now. A Democrat controlled USA, run by today's clueless socialists (Biden would just be a spectator), would be worse than a disaster. That is not hyperbole - that is fact. Cops will be all but extinct, energy will be rare and expensive, trains to nowhere will be common, cities will be totally hollowed out, our dollar would be worthless, and the war on guns, babies, God and freedom, would go from a trot to a gallop. It would make 1984 look like Nirvana.

Earlier this week, I penned a post saying that neither side would accept the outcome of November's election if the other side won. That being said, it is still of the utmost importance that our side (the right side) wins. As stated, a Democrat victory would start our very rapid beginning to our end. A Republican victory on the other hand, would mean more chaos in the streets. Why is that? Because even though the Republicans would control Washington, the Democratic socialists would most likely still control most cities. With a second term of President Trump, the nation would be saved, but our cities would continue to suffer.

Is there a third outcome then, which would not be so dire? Absolutely! It would be the cities waking up, and throwing out the nitwits who broke the cities in the first place! In other words, no more Democrats, progressives, or socialists running anything. Never, ever again. They are not in the equation. They are not what our Founders envisioned for our future. To save America, all of America, today's Democrats must lose, and lose big in November.

The other side of Joe

"Well Joe, welcome to the arena. You asked for this, and now you will get it. Next week, I suggest you wear some asbestos undies, as what you all gave to Trump these past four days, will be paid back in spades."

TGIO (Thank Goodness It's Over). It was a brutal four days, topped of last night with the acceptance speech from the new Democrat torch bearer. That would be "Sleepy Joe", "I have been here 47 years", Biden. As usual, Democrats geared everything they talked about this week, to tug at the heart strings. Nothing from the head. In fact, it was devoid of anything of substance, except "Orange man bad", and "Joe is nice". Also, many times the meaningless statement, "I will govern in the light, and not the darkness (like Trump is)". Gag me with a spoon.

There is an old saying in politics. The good news is you have experience. The bad news is - now there is now a record to examine. Joe's record is easy to examine. Promise everything, deliver nothing. However, his record playing second fiddle to Obama is really bad. If I were Joe, I would run from Obama as fast as my 78 year old legs could carry me. Everything Joe and his minions accused Donald Trump of doing, Obama and Biden did. Funny how that works out.

I have never been a Biden fan. Never, ever. To me, Joe Biden typifies what is wrong with government. You go to serve for a short period of your life, then turn your government job over to someone else. When you leave government, you go back into the civilian world, and produce (something). Biden on the other hand, came into government about the same time I was still on active duty. He came, and he never left. He produced nothing. Promised a lot, but produced nada. He is just a tool.

Biden was born right after World War II broke out. He will be 78 right after election day. He has been accused of plagiarism (proven), he has been accused of sexual misconduct. In fact, one of Joe's accusers spoke out last night. She was wondering what has happened to the DNC "Me Too" crowd. Like, where are the pussy hats when Joe is speaking? I guess, like Uncle Teddy, and Slick Willie, Sleepy Joe has a get out of jail free car when it comes to anything sexual. Heck, even being a hair sniffer is one off from normalcy, but the Democrats don't care.

Well Joe, welcome to the arena. You asked for this, and now you will get it. Next week, I suggest you wear some asbestos undies, as what you all gave to Trump these past four days, will be paid back in spades. Your record will come under an electron microscope. If you passed gas at night, that will be examined. Each year, of your 47 years of doing nothing in government, will be looked at. And Hunter? We have not ever started in on him as yet.

At least tonight, the news will go back to what it usually is. Chaos and mayhem in our city streets. By the way - did everyone notice that the police issue, and the riots were not mentioned this week by the Democrats? Oh, they will be next week - count on it.

Joe's speech last night was good for a low bar. Next, we will see how the debates go. I can't wait.

The Queen of Mean, et al.

"Tonight, Sleepy Joe will tell the very few people who are still watching, what his 'vision' for America is. To him I say hold your breath Joe - we already know what your vision is."

Rejoice my fellow travelers! Only one more night to endure. Endure what? The first ever virtual sob fest, brought to you by the party which at one time was known as the Democrats. Today, I don't really know what the DNC or the Democrats stand for. It sure is not the party of John Kennedy or Hubert Humphrey. It is the party of pussy hats, Cardi B, Hollywood, atheists, abortionists, Antifa, open borders, BLM, sanctuary cities, and mostly - nut balls.

Last night it was the Queen of Mean (aka Hillary) and her court of jesters. It was supposed to have been the BIG NIGHT for the first "woman of color" (whatever that is), ever to be on a Presidential ticket. But enough about Kamala. I want to talk about the vision of the what used to be called the Democrat Party. It was parroted over and over again. By Hillary, by Obama, and by every speaker last night. Their vision is get rid of Trump. Period. End of story. And somebody might wonder why the ratings are so low for this debacle.

Actually, after watching the party once known as Democrats, the Republicans don't need to hold a convention. There is nothing they could do or say, which would give a more compelling argument to vote for them. More compelling than what we are watching this week. After this week, I dare say that anyone who votes blue in November, should go the doctor have take the "senior test". That is the test where you to draw a clock, and tell what time it is. Today, voting blue is reserved for people who have no clue of the day, the date, or the year - much less the time of day. Last night was Exhibit "A" to that fact.

Meanwhile, there are battles raging in most every big blue city right now. People are being pulled out of their vehicles, beat, shot at, chased - by a mob of misfits dressed in black. Nothing, not a word was mentioned at this convention, on how to stop this mess. However, we did hear a veiled threat by "Michelle my Bell", that things were going to get worse if Donald Trump gets re-elected. To that, I give a full throated response of HORSE FEATHERS! The only thing which will stop these mutts and misfits, is when they overthrow of our current system of government. That is why they support the party of blue, as the blue party might be able to swing the deal.

Someone asked me if there was any person who is currently in the party once known as Democrats, which I could vote for. Ah - no. And I thought about that long and hard. This clown car has been going on for some time now, and every two years it seems to get worse. On our side, we have had RINO Republicans - and plenty of them. Slowly, we are finally getting rid of them. In the past, many elections have been our RINOs, running against statists and socialists.

Because of the choice we have been given in many elections, voting has become a matter of holding your nose, and then heading into the booth. That is - until this business guy from New York decide to run in 2016. He was not a RINO, and certainly not a socialist. He was and is, a game changer. A bit rough around the edges, sometimes unorthodox, he gets the job done. And - he keeps his promises. Now, instead of holding noses when voting, Donald Trump's supporters are excited to see him get re-elected!

If someone cannot see or hear the difference between Donald Trump's party of opportunity, and the other side (which is exposing their twisted truths night after night), more coffee might be needed. Heck, even with this China virus still raging, both Target Stores and Apple have set new financial milestones. During his next term, and assuming we have the virus under control by then, great things will happen for all under a Trump Administration. And under a Biden Administration? You can fill in the blanks on that one.

Tonight, Sleepy Joe will tell the very few people who are still watching, what his "vision" for America is. To him I say hold your breath Joe - we already know what your vision is. We saw it for eight long and arduous years when you were teamed up with Obama. No thanks Joe - we have already seen that movie. Now go back to sleep.

Orange Man Bad (Again)

"So what has made the play book this year, other than 'Orange Man Bad'? Ready? 'Joe is good'. Yep - that is it. Two chapters. 'Orange Man Bad', and 'Joe is Good'."

For those who might not know as yet, this is the week of the Democrat National Convention. It would be easy not to know it is going on for a number of reasons. The primary reason? B-O-R-I-N-G. It can put an insomniac to sleep in minutes. I have watch a little of it (heavy on the word "little"), and it was very close to sanctioned torture. The theme is suppose to be "Building Back Better" (whatever the Sam Hill that means), but in reality, the only theme is once again "Orange Man Bad".

Last night, the clown car continued. The best part was they even had the ghost of Bill Clinton speak. The ghost? What? Had to have been his ghost, because no living person could look or sound that bad. Whatever it was, a re-animated Clinton, or a hologram thereof, it was really a stroke of bad timing, and a bad choice, for the Dems. Why? Too many open questions about "the island" - and I don't mean Gilligan's Island. The "Me Too" crowd must have been biting their collective lips while he was on.

Did anyone notice the strong condemnation the Democrats had for the violence which is now gripping our cities? ANYONE? No - because it did not happen. That subject is not in the Democrat play book. Just like sexual misdeeds, ranging from peccadilloes to assaults. That NEVER makes the Democrat play book either. Nor does a candidate's plagiarisms. So what has made the play book this year, other than "Orange Man Bad"? Ready for this one? "Joe is good". Yep - that is it. Two chapters. "Orange Man Bad", and "Joe is Good".

Tonight, the Great Divider will speak - better known as Barack Hussein Obama. It will be the same crapola we have heard from him, time and time again. Globalism is good, national interests are bad. Iran is good, Israel is bad. After hearing the Great Divider's other half speak the first night, I am tingling with expectations on what he will say. Well, actually I am not. His stick has worn very thin with me years ago.

One of the things which has been repeated by the Democrat minions over and over and over again, is beyond stupid and false. "Donald Trump has used the office of the President only to better and enrich himself." Really? He is one of the very few who have gone to Washington, and had his or her net worth diminish instead of go up like a rocket. The Clinton's became rich, the Obama's became rich, the Pelosi's became rich(er), as did the Kerry's. Meanwhile, President Trump has not made a dime being President. His entire salary is donated.

I don't think I can watch it tonight. I might be at my limit. In other words, my BS filter is full, and can't take anymore. Maybe ESPN will have reruns of "Bowling for Dollars". That would be a better use of my time.

Kroll and his Troll

"Bob Kroll is a lifetime cop, and a lifetime Army Reservist. And yet, the Democrats have NOTHING better to do, than brand him. They call him 'Bob KKKroll'. If our Governor was not such a tool, he would have called Thompson out. Shamed him in public."

By now, most of us heard what happened up in Hugo recently. Hugo, MN is the place where MPD Union Chief, Bob Kroll lives. Some of the mutts from the Twin Cities, who have nothing else to do, but doxx people and then hassle them at their homes, ventured up to the very nice town of Hugo. And who was the ringleader of this most unruly mob? An "activist" from St. Paul named John Thompson. He was rude and crude, using language which would make a sailor blush.

It was a horrible scene, with the "activist" (using the standard Democrat megaphone), dropping more "F" Bombs than carters has pills. Very cool, right? Then he threatened to burn down the city of Hugo. And called Bob Kroll a KKK member numerous times. Much of his ire was directed at some teenage girls who where in their driveway to see what all this mayhem was about. One had the audacity to wear a "Blue Lives Matter" shirt! Oh, the gall!

I'm sorry. I seem to have forgotten a very important part of this story. This "activist", who was acting worse than a brat in a tantrum, wants to graduate into being a politician. He is running for the Minnesota House. This man, devoid of any civility and manners, wants to do the people's business in St. Paul. And - he is endorsed by No Balz Walz, our AG, Congresswoman McCollum, and other misfits from the Minnesota House.

I wonder how John Thompson would have liked it, if a bunch of Republicans came to his house, insulted his family, threatened his neighborhood, and called him vile names like the "N" word. Two things - if that happened, it would make every newspaper from coast to coast. Also - that would never happen, as that is NOT the way our side behaves nor rolls. Democrats can easily slide into the thug roll; our side cannot.

Here is the irony. Because the Twin Cities is lost, and considered to be ceded territory, any Democrat, no matter how flawed, is literally guaranteed to be elected. Hands down, fact. In a normal district, in a normal state, this guy would have been run out of town. Not here. Nope. The Democrats are ready to worship him for what he did up in Hugo.

Bob Kroll is a lifetime cop, and a lifetime Army Reservist. And yet, the Democrats have NOTHING better to do, than brand him. They call him "Bob KKKroll". If our Governor was not such a tool, he would have called Thompson out. Shamed him in public. In fact, not one Democrat called him out. Like I said, Democrats are ready to worship at Thompson's feet. Bad behavior and vulgar language are badges of honor, proudly worn in today's Democrat Party.

I am sorry Officer Kroll, that you had to witness this almost subhuman behavior by this mob outside your house. You did not deserve that. Nobody does - not even Democrats. Until we once again institute law and order in our society, these termites will continue to weaken our foundation. Remember that in November.

An uneasy peace?

"Minneapolis is now living with an uneasy peace. That peace could come unraveled at any time, for any reason."

How are things going right now in Minneapolis? Remember that place? The hub of all the unrest which started after the George Floyd incident? I don't think any of us, especially the ones who grew up here, could ever forget those four nights of riots and mayhem. The nights in which the lawless mob, laid waste to so many businesses. The nights in which the same mob, attacked, ransacked, and burned the MPD Third Precinct headquarters building to the ground.

After the contagion spread across the country, things started to die out in Minneapolis. And uneasy peace settled in. Some say the only reason for this uneasy peace, was everything they could burn, they already did burn. Kind of like, why bomb Dresden anymore, after you already fire bombed it. But then this weekend, a new target was hit. The Fifth Precinct building. It was egged, rocked, and spray painted. A mere brush compared to what happened in the Third Precinct. But there is a deeper story here.

The people who did this to the Fifth, as well as the Third, are not protesters. They are a well trained, and well funded group of terrorists, who specialize in asymmetrical warfare. A warfare against law enforcement. When the cops came out of the building to try and stop this mayhem, they were met with commercial grade fireworks aimed at them. Fortunately, no police were injured - this time. By the time reinforcements arrived from other precincts, the mutts causing this attack had fled into the night. So far, no arrests have been made.

Let this sink in for a minute. In a city the size of Minneapolis, you can attack a police station and get away with it. In some cities which had fires and damage caused by misfits, the squishy socialist sympathizers who run those cities, have refused to charge the guilty. They let them go, so they can riot and destroy, once again.

In our world turned upside down, police have become the villains, and the rioters have become the heroes. On the news this morning, a recent poll in Minneapolis had some interesting results. First, two our of three residents in Minneapolis have an unfavorable view of the police. Second, the residents trust the clowns on the Minneapolis City Council more than the Mayor. I thought that would have been a tie - for last place. Finally, even though the residents don't care for their police force, the majority don't agree with unfunding them.

Minneapolis is now living with an uneasy peace. That peace could come unraveled at any time, for any reason. Next year, when the four cops are tried (at the same time), the outcome of that trial could be the match which starts a much bigger bonfire. When the decision was made by the DA to try the four cops all at once, it might have opened the door for an unintended consequence. Some of the best defense lawyers in the upper mid-west are representing the four former officers. Together, this group of defense attorneys are probably the most powerful dream team, since the O.J. Simpson trial. And we all remember how that trial ended.

In any event, our cities have become quite the spectacle for all to see. This is what the world looks like, when there is either no law, nor any effort to enforce the laws which exist. To control this contagion, a powerful antidote is needed. One which has not been used as yet. And until it is used, the lawlessness will continue to subdue the lawful. What is that antidote? I think most of us know.

Slow walking, to a gallop, to warp speed

"If we lose in November, the fix will be in. The 'Great Reset' will become a juggernaut, and our great country will become the 'New Europe'."

There was a time not too long ago, that governments could become corrupted by small, incremental steps. So small, they were unnoticeable, except to the most observant. Many referred to that as the "boiling frog" method of change. Put a frog in a pot of water on the stove. Gradually, very gradually, turn the heat up under the pot of water. By the time the frog realized he was cooking, it was too late. That is the way it was, not too long ago, even with our government. The socialists came disguised as many different things, as they slowly infected our government - at all levels. Now - the jig is up. They are exposed, and they don't care.

The "slow walking" approach to change is now dead in America. We have entered into the phase of the "fast gallop". The socialists have pulled off their masks, and shed their veneer. They are making themselves seen and heard, both near and far. Their presence is not subtle - they are causing riots in our streets. They are assaulting and doxxing our law enforcement officers. Plus, having their surrogates in city leadership, allows them strip law enforcement of their authority and funding. All these changes are happening now at the speed of light. We have gone from a slow walk, to a fast gallop, to warp speed - in just a few months.

I have thought about this. Many times, and very deeply. Is this just "revolution for the hell of it", or is there something else going on? Oh, there is something else going on. The table is being being prepared for the "Big Reset". In other words, our almost 250 year old system of government, our system of economics, is about to be "deep sixed" by the socialists. Why? In their minds, our system is grossly unfair. I mean, why should your house be bigger than mine? Why do you make more money than me? Again in their minds, the game is rigged. They have no chance in capitalism. With socialism, the board is made even after the "Big Reset". Everyone is the same, has the same, and gets the same. Easy peasy.

The Democrat Presidential nominee (Biden), was at one time considered to be more of a moderate than a progressive. Biden knew from the debates, if he were to stand a snowball's chance in getting the nomination, he needed to change his stripes. And he did. Harris, his VP pick, was at one time a "law and order" prosecutor and Attorney General in California. No longer. Recently, she was voted the most radical Senator in the United States Senate. Should they win in November, and if the Democrats retain the House, the "Big Reset" will have started. Having the Republicans retain control of the Senate will be of minimal value.

Our slide into the dark side, this uncontrolled side to the socialist side - is happening right now. Some have developed the "thousand yard stare", as they are frozen in the headlights of this out of control "thing", which is headed right for us. Others have given up on taking the red pill, and switched to the blue pill. In other words, the thinking is, "What is the use? There is nothing we can do to stop this. Just conform".

Then there is a minority of those on the right (or what used to be the right), who have joined the dark side (Kasich and Romney for example). Why? By becoming turncoats, they are hoping to become power players in the new regime. But turncoats are always expendable.

Finally, there are the patriots and the citizens. Us. The silent majority. The real stakeholders in this great country. Those of us who will not accept this great country being "reset" by traitors to the cause. This is where the battle will lie. A hill worth dying on.

We can all do the "would of, could of, should of" right now, or we can WAKE UP and realize what is coming is no shit for real. If we lose in November, the fix will be in. The "Great Reset" will become a juggernaut, and our great country will devolve into a "New Europe". No more better mousetraps, just sameness. Then come the ordinary, as well as equal, outcomes.

What really happens to America? I was going to say, it will be relegated to the ash heap of history. But since the socialists are out to liquidate or change history, maybe the American Experiment will vanish quicker, and more completely, than Minnesota snow in June. But when the American Experience vanishes, unlike the melting snow, there won't even be a puddle remaining.

California, golden no longer...

"Besides being a hotspot for COVID - 19, California has so many other woes, it is wonder anyone still wants to live there."

I have addressed California before. Part of it, is fascination. When I was a young lad, my folks took me out to California to visit my aunt and see the sights. I was hooked. On the way home (during that very long drive in our non-air conditioned car), I asked my dad why we live in Minnesota. I told him everything we saw, from San Diego up to San Francisco, passed muster with me. I wanted to live in California. Welcome to California in 1958.

For all the reasons I wanted to live in California in 1958, I probably have ten times as many why I would NOT want to live there today. The once Golden State, is golden no longer. In fact, it has taken on a brown hue, just like - never mind. The state which at one time attracted citizens from all over the country, is now seeing many of those citizens leave for greener pastures. Especially those with some wealth.

This coming week, the weather is going to be drop dead beautiful in Minnesota. Not so much for California. The Drudge Report today talks about temps this upcoming week being around 110. Temps so hot, so wide spread, rolling blackouts are expected. No, I did not say brown outs - I said black outs. This once beautiful state, run into the ground with idiots like "Moonbeam" and Newsome, would rather their citizens go without power, than to give up on solar and wind mandates.

What else is happening this upcoming week? Seems there is an alarming number of small earthquakes under the Salton Sea. And - so? The "so" is that many geologists, are fearful these smaller earthquakes might trigger a much bigger and badder quake on on the San Andreas Fault. Like - maybe the long feared "Big One".

Oh yes, speaking of earthquakes - California is now referred to as the "shake and bake" state. High temps, quakes, and very dry conditions. Every season, portions of the state (due to goofy regulations about not thinning out and removing ground cover), burns up. Houses are destroyed. This season, once again it is so hot and dry, California has the Ranch 2 Fire, which is currently zero percent contained.

Besides being a hotspot for COVID - 19, California has so many other woes, it is wonder anyone still wants to live there. High taxes, expensive gasoline, goofy politicians, hot weather, a tender box for fires, high water prices, earthquakes - the list goes on and on. The once Golden State, is golden no longer. And California has nobody to blame but themselves, for a big part of it.

When California broke off and slid into the sea in the movie 2012, it was reported that some people cheered. If I had seen it in a movie theater, I might have been one of them.

Liberal Logic

"Here is my bottom line. This nation will NEVER heal until we can have a kumbaya and agree that ALL lives matter. The value of one live is exactly the same as the value of any other life."

I have decided that even at my age, I need to go back to school. There is a very important part of my education which I am missing. I have tried to figure this out on my own, but come up empty each and every time. How to understand liberal logic. I think a great place to start, is why so many on the loony left back this organization called BLM. Even Dolly Parton came out the other day and said, "Do we think our little white asses are the only ones that matter?" Liberal logic, strikes again.

The narrative is that young black men are singled out by police and executed. All of them innocent and unarmed. Well here are the facts from 2019. 13 unarmed blacks were killed by the police nation wide. Now true, one is one too many. But 13 is a very small number compared to the other ways black people die every year.

Before I continue, a word about abject racism as will as institutional racism. Even though this country is doing better than it did decades ago, we are not there as yet. We need to fix that. All of us. Regardless of color, sex or religion - we need to fix it. And the government can't fix it - they broke it in the 60's. We the people, can and should fix it.

Many times I have been invited by signs to care about black lives. Sold. In fact, I was not sold because of the signs. I have cared about black lives, as well as all other American lives, for many years now. I took an oath to protect and defend all Americans - regardless of religion, race or sex. However, that rings hollow with the "woke" crowd. Especially those who have "white guilt" or "white fragility". They want us all to adopt the narrative that the only blacks who are killed, are unarmed, innocent, and executed by the police. Sorry - the facts don't support that narrative.

Here is what I think. First off, way, way too many young black males are killed. Mostly by other young black men. Check the stats. This is true. Secondly, many of us have fallen into the trap which Margaret Sanger set many years ago. Young black babies are being exterminated at an alarming rate. And yes, I care about those young black babies also. But we can't talk about the 19 million America black babies who have been ripped from their mother's womb since 1973. Just like with the slaughter of young black men in our big blue cities, the "woke" crowd won't allow us address the millions of black babies who have been killed before they could draw their first breath.

So what does the sign, Black Lives Matter really mean? I dare say that 99% of the population would agree that black lives matter as much as brown lives, yellow lives, white lives, or what ever other color lives. All lives are a gift from God. We were made in His image. To say that black lives do not matter, would be an affront to God. Nobody wants the carnage of young black men in our big cities, especially Chicago, continue. It needs to end - NOW.

A final word about the 13 young, unarmed black men who were killed by the police last year. I am not letting them off the hook. If these killings were in fact murder or manslaughter, then the guilty cops should be punished. The vast majority of cops are good, real good people. Heroes. But a small percentage might now be. As the saying goes, one bad apple does not mean the entire bushel is bad.

Here is my bottom line. This nation will NEVER heal until we can have a kumbaya and agree that ALL lives matter. The value of one live is exactly the same as the value of any other life. If anyone states something different than that, that person should be shunned. But this will never happen so long as the "woke" liberal logic continues to be as back assward as it is.

Unchecked power and glory

"Election day is less than three months away. Hard to believe. I hold very little hope for this state. I am hopeful however, that the President is re-elected. If we end up with President Harris, we will really be in deep, deep weeds. So deep, I don't even want to imagine it."

Remember that old Lord Acton saying? "All power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Boy, do we have Exhibit "A" living in our Governor's mansion right now. Old "Rocks and Cows" just can't get over himself. He loves looking in the mirror, seeing that  aura of power emanate from his body. Sorry to tell you this Timmy - we are wise to your crap. And no, we don't see the same magnificent ruler, which you see, when you gaze in the mirror. We see a power hungry carpet bagger, who somehow hoodwinked the urban dolts to vote him into office.

How does if feel Timmy, to have Republicans in the Senate do a checkmate on you? First, no bonding bill, and now, no confirmation for your Labor and Industry Commissioner. What (Timmy thought), this is not a monarchy? For I am the ruler! No, the Senate Leader said - we have three equal parts in our government. And yes Timmy, the Senate does have some power. If you and the clown car in the House want to continue with this "peacetime emergency" BS, then we have some tricks up our sleeve also.

Truthfully Timmy, we have had it with you. We really have. As far as we are concerned, you can take your Mount Rushmore hating Lt. Governor, and hit the road. Go back to Nebraska. You really have done nothing for this state since you have been sworn in. Well, you did allow a huge section of Minneapolis to burn to the ground, while hiding in your basement. And, while South Dakota has prospered, your executive orders have put this state in the tank. How so? We have gone from a nice and tidy surplus as the start of the year, to an almost $5 billion deficit. All because you wanted to play power monger.

Here is the sad part of the story - and it is indeed sad. We are stuck with you, and whats her name, for another two years. And, because the Democrats have turned so many minions in the metro area into total takers, the Democrats will probably control the House for another two years. If the Republicans were not holding the Senate, the state would be lost. Taxing Timmy and the socialists would leave this state looking like Georgia, after General Sherman's March to the Sea.

For you newcomers to the area, please believe me when I say that Minnesota once was a great place to live. We were proud to live here. Minneapolis was a great city. Low crime, and safe to visit, day or night. The Democrats have turned this state into a high taxed, frozen wasteland. Minneapolis is now a war zone. What has not been burnt to the ground, is no longer safe to visit. What is Taxing Timmy's response to this? Blames the President and our Senate Republicans. The real truth is this - Timmy's assumed Midas Touch does not yield gold, nor any thing good - every thing he touches turns into effluent.

Election day is less than three months away. Hard to believe. I hold very little hope for this state. I am hopeful however, that the President is re-elected. If we end up with President Harris, we will really be in deep, deep weeds. So deep, I don't even want to imagine it.

Guardians of the Galaxy? Nope!

"Is this ticket of Biden/Harris going to be the new Guardians of the Galaxy? Not hardly. However, the Democrats will be out in record numbers come November. They will look to oust Trump/Pence, and replace them with Biden/Harris. It is up to us to ensure that does not happen."

Not to give anyone indigestion this early in the morning, but ponder this. Should the Democrats take the White House, and retain Congress, the succession chain to the big chair will look like this: Biden, Harris, Pelosi. Now that I have your attention, don't forget to vote in November. We can easily win this race, if none of us stay home. If however we do stay home, President Trump will be a one and done, and America will be a much different (and not better) place come 2021.

How is this Democrat ticket shaping up now, that Joe Biden has made his choice? To start with, they are both phonies and opportunists. Birds of a feather. Few will forget that Harris, early in her career, slept with Willie Brown to get ahead. Harris was in her twenties, and Brown was sixty - and married. But so what? That is a badge of honor with the Democrats. With the ancient age of Biden, as well as his progressing dementia, Harris might end up in the White House before 2025. Let that sink in for a minute.

What does Harris stand for? If you can believe half what she says, she favors a much smaller military. Fewer cops. More taxes. Abortion on demand. Open borders. Free healthcare for illegals. The list goes on and on and on. And what will Biden stand for? Whatever Harris tells him to. With Biden becoming more and more mixed up and confused, he will be the puppet, and Harris will be the one pulling his strings.

I can't even imagine what the Biden/Harris cabinet would look like. Nadler as AG? Karen Bass as our UN Ambassador? Schiff as the Secretary of Defense? The talent pool of nitwits is deep and wide for the Democrats. All the good things Donald Trump has done for America will be undone in a wink and a nod. Our National Debt will go up like a Saturn Five rocket, and the Democrats will be spending like drunks in a bar on a Friday night.

For those who want to criticize Biden's choice of choosing a woman of mixed race, be warned. The Democrats have trolls set up just waiting to out you, and to doxx you. Harris will be considered off limits. Kind of like Obama was. If you criticized his policies, you were a racist. Criticize Harris, and you will be a racist AND a sexist. Just go along, come along. It is going to be a long ride.

Will the ticket of Biden/Harris going to be the new Guardians of the Galaxy? Not hardly. However, the Democrats will be out in record numbers come November. They will look to oust Trump/Pence, and replace them with Biden/Harris. It is up to us to ensure that does not happen.

Spare the rod and ...

"Now we have one helluva mess on our hands. The genie is out of the bottle, and I don't know how we will get it back in. Maybe we need to start enforcing the law like Judge Roy Bean."

Many times in the past few months, when I wake up in the morning and turn on the news, I feel like I am still dreaming. After living through many normal years in my life, having a year this abnormal seems like a dream - and a bad dream at that. It was bad enough, to find out our lifestyles were about to go topsy turvy, compliments of the Wuhan flu. But this social unrest thing really came out of left field. Totally unexpected - and yet it shouldn't have been unexpected at all. Why is that? As a society, we have spared the rod way too long. Now we have thousands of spoiled children, laying waste to our cities.

Portland, Oregon is in day seventy something of social unrest. I mean rioting. The social unrest thing went out the window weeks ago. Now it is bad people acting badly. Acting criminally. This is the crescendo of years of bad decisions made by our state governments. How so?

One example is Chicago. Kim Foxx, the DA in Chicago, has done a most amazing thing for a law enforcement official. When the riots first hit Chicago, she allowed 25,000 people go without being prosecuted. Infractions ranging all the way from jaywalking, to B+E, to disorderly conduct, to serious felonies. Now these reprobates are back, doing the same kinds of crap they have done before. And why not? Nothing will happen to them. Not with Kim Foxx in charge.

Antifa has also upped their game in their war against the cops. Now besides wearing protective gear, helmets and gas masks, they are carrying bats bristling with nails, lasers powerful enough to blind, and "mortars" to launch fireworks at police. Some are looting and rioting for the hell of it - others are looting as they feel it is the first step in reparations. Meanwhile, the city leaders of these big blue cities, the mayors, the governors - do and say very little. That is, unless they are telling the President to butt out.

Last night, the Seattle City Council voted to defund the police department by 14%. Only one person voted against it. Why? Because that person thought it was a dumb idea? Nope - that person wanted a 50% cut. Part of the 14% cut was in the salary of the police chief. So she resigned - effective September 2nd. The President again is telling these Democrat run cities to get their poop in a group. If this carnage continues, he WILL send in the National Guard.

When I was growing up, I developed a respect and fear for all police. I did NOT want to get sideways of the law. Today however, is a different story for many of our wayward youth. They don't give a tinker's damn. They have zero fear nor respect for any law enforcement. If fact, they have developed such an antipathy for them, they will do what they can to injure them - badly.

Like I said, this stew has taken years to make. We have nobody to blame but us. We elect morons to lead us who look at our Constitution with disdain and disinterest. We have elected school board members who have turned our once fine education system into nothing more than an indoctrination gulag. Our universities and colleges have become expensive cesspools of Marxism and socialist ideals. The fact that we have spared the rod and allowed our children to become this spoiled, this ruthless, should shock none of us.

Now we have one helluva mess on our hands. The genie is out of the bottle, and I don't know how we will get it back in. Maybe we need to start enforcing the law like Judge Roy Bean. It would cost a few rioters their lives, but it might have to come to that. If we don't do something quickly, this contagion will cost us, and cost us dearly. We will lose the helm. When that happens, we will be in a real war, with real bullets. With no police anymore to enforce the law, it will just be us against them - good vs bad.

A most difficult choice

"Bottom line is this. The United States could have 'let er rip' and ignored the virus totally, or shut down totally, and watched our economy evaporate. We did neither, and still ended up the world's most infected country."

One of the news items which has not received much buzz (as it relates to COVID - 19), is the story of New Zealand. This tiny country of about five million, got infected early this year like most other countries did. But New Zealand made a very difficult choice. After getting 100 cases early on, the country decided to close all borders, and hunker and bunker to the max. Not just for a few days, but over a month. Everything shut down. The result? COVID - 19 is now gone from New Zealand. For 100 days now, there has not been one new case.

What is life like now, in the land of down under? In New Zealand, the pubs are open, and the rugby stadiums are packed. Zero social distancing. How did they do it? How could they stay shut down that long and have their economy survive? Even though New Zealand considers it self to be a "free trader", they are in reality a socialist country. I have met folks from New Zealand when I was in Australia. They have lots of freebies. Lots and lots of freebies. So when they shut down, the freebies kept coming.

The United States on the other hand, remains the COVID capital of the world. We have over 5 million confirmed cases, with some experts thinking that is only 10% of what is real. If that is the case, we would have 50 million cases, or about 1/7th of our population infected. And the infection is still raging on. Why can't we be more like New Zealand? Because we are not set up that way. Even with the brief shutdown we had, our economy almost tanked. Our supply chains frayed. It was a mess. For parts of our country, it is still a mess.

Look at our baseball season compared to New Zealand's rugby season. The picture above was taken a few days ago at a rugby game. Fans sitting close to each other, no masks, cheering to their heart's content. Our baseball teams, travel from city to city, playing in front of cardboard cutouts, and piped in noise. Big whoop. Even with that, some teams still have had new infections, and needed to stand down for a few games.

Bottom line is this. The United States could have "let er rip" and ignored the virus totally, or shut down totally, and watched our economy evaporate. We did neither, and still ended up the world's most infected country. New York City was the world's hot spot for weeks. New York has had 32,000 deaths - compare that to Japan and South Korea combined, who have had less than 1,500. That being said, New York's spread has come to a crawl, so much so, New York is opening schools for 100% face to face learning. Minnesota on the other hand, will have either distance learning or a hybrid.

Hindsight is always 20/20. What should we have done differently in March, when this all started? Beats me. Maybe shutting all our borders and prohibiting international air travel. Would that have helped? Maybe. As one of my docs told me last month, "It is here now, and there is no stopping it." Meanwhile, life needs to go on. Life in this wacky world of COVID - 19. Thanks Wuhan - we owe you one.
