Closer yet, to the edge

"Where do we go from here? Is there any coming back off of this cliff? Can we pull another rabbit out of our hat like we did with the Cuban Missile Crisis? Back then, we had John Kennedy. Today we have Joe Biden. Figure the odds."

How does it feel? Do you feel helpless? Like a passenger in a plane where the pilot has a death wish? Those of us who are old (really old), have had this feeling before. When the world was spinning out of control. The Cuban Missile Crisis. Where most people felt we were going to war with the Soviet Union. Nuclear war. That there was no way out. The missiles were in Cuba, and the blockade was on. The stage was set for an ugly climax. The United States and Russia were about to poison the world, and kill millions of people.

But cooler heads finally did prevail. We stepped back, away from the cliff. And, the world -adopted the concept of MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction. As soon as the first nuke was unleashed, it would be the end of everything as we know it. It was the only way we knew of how to keep the nuclear genie in the bottle.

Decades passed. Most sane people in Russia and NATO knew that nuclear war was unwinnable. The loser would be mankind. However, then came Putin, sick with some disease, and hitting his 70th year. It was important to him to make his mark on history. Right the wrong of the Soviet Union dissolving. Time to take back some territory. Might as well start with Ukraine. That was a big mistake.

Now we have almost a perfect storm for Crazy Ivan to really get crazy. To unleash some tactical nukes in Ukraine to tip the scales. With the Ukrainians gaining the upper hand, tens of thousands of Russian soldiers just plain giving up, and unrest at home, Putin has found himself in a real box. He could lite a nuke on the Ukrainian battlefield, or - teach NATO a lesson by taking out Brussels.

And if it progressed from there? It was reported on the news yesterday, that one of Russia's "super subs" was missing. Maybe lurking somewhere, getting ready to do something awful. What is so special about this type of sub? This sub, the Belgorod, has the "doomsday torpedo" weapon system. The torpedoes which are rumored to contain a 200 MT warhead. Large enough to cause a 500 meter radioactive tsunami once detonated. To take out a coastal city, and radiate it for generations. The use of this weapon would be horrible beyond belief.

Where do we go from here? Is there any coming back off of this cliff? Can we pull another rabbit out of our hat like we did with the Cuban Missile Crisis? Back then, we had John Kennedy. Today we have Joe Biden. Figure the odds.

Walter Middy in Aviators

"Well played Joe! You can take those aviators and stick them where the sun does not shine. We are sick to death of your schtick. As Ted Cruz said yesterday, we are pissed off!"

Poor old Brandon. In his mind, he is a war hero, a jet fighter pilot, and all around tough guy. In reality, he is nothing but a dreamer. Not a visionary, but a dreamer. Every now and again, that Walter Mitty(ism) which lives within our President, comes out. Like yesterday. He was picked up on a hot mike saying, "You don't f**k with a Biden"! Uh, okay Brandon. Like, what are you going to do with someone who does "f**k with a Biden"? Take them out behind the gym, like Corn Pop, and "beat the hell out of them"? Come on man! These are serious times and we need a POTUS, who is grounded in reality!

The Joe Biden that Brandon thinks exist, is only a mirage. The truth is, Biden is a phony. Most of us have known that for quite a while. Who "f**ks with a Biden"? How about OPEC. After Smoking Joe, donned his aviators, went to Saudi Arabia and fist bumped the Prince, OPEC responded yesterday by cutting production by 2M a day. A big deal for Russia - bad for the rest of us. But don't worry - Smoking Joe is off to Venezuela to beg them for more oil. But, but - what about us? Our oil production? The cleanest in the world. Shut up and sit down! We have climate change to worry about!

Meanwhile, our strategic reserves are almost depleted. But who cares? Brandon has vowed to rid the world of oil and natural gas. Never mind that gasoline is only one of 6,000 products which are made out of oil. Joe Biden is nothing more than a marionette on strings for the Marxist Greenies. He is bleeding this country dry, just to appease his handlers. Meanwhile, the price of gas is about to hit $4/gal again, nationwide.

BTW - as we torture our people with high prices based because of climate panic, the ChiComs continue to build coal fired power plants at a record pace. What a minute! Can't Biden talk to Chinese? Get them to come to their senses? Anyone who saw the Tony Bobulinski interview, knows the answer why not. Joe and his entire family are owned by the Chinese. Don't think so? Follow the money.

One more thing. Many of the super lefties are seeing the handwriting on the wall. They are trying to get Biden to declare a "climate emergency" before the midterms. Then the Marxists can go to town. The final dagger in the heart of our free enterprise system. Our country might as well be known as the United States of California. We will be a bigger mess than we are now.

Well played Joe! You can take those aviators and stick them where the sun does not shine. We are sick to death of your schtick. As Ted Cruz said yesterday, we are pissed off! In about a month, the people will have spoken. Then Walter Mitty Biden will see his make believe world, is just that.

And then there is Tony (again)

"To my Democrat friends - before you try and take me to the woodshed, for once again mentioning Trump and the last election, please go on YouTube to watch last night's Tucker Carlson. Corruption should bother all patriots."

Anyone tune in to Tucker Carlson last night? If you did, you probably saw the bravest man in America. For the second time in two years, Tucker had Tony Bobulinski on as a guest. Tony, the former business partner of the the Biden crime family, knows where all "the bodies are buried" (so to speak). He has spilled his guts to the FBI and gave them copies (and lots of it) of the documentation he has about the corrupt nature of our current POTUS and his family. In other words, he is taking on the "King" and his court.

If ever there was still a shred of doubt, that our current FBI and DOJ has their thumb on the scale of justice, it would have been erased last night, once Tucker was over. That mountain of evidence, given to Agent Tim Thibault of the FBI two years ago, has all but vanished. And by the way - so has Thibault. Seems Elvis has left the building. So all the evidence, which would have made a difference in the election of 2020, never saw the light of day.

When Tucker asked this former Navy Officer if he was scared for himself and his family by taking on the Bidens, as well as the FBI and the CIA, Tony responded that he was scared. That being said, he also said he and his family are patriots, and don't want to see this ticking time bomb buried (again), until after the midterms.

It seems, should Tony's evidence be verifiable, our current Administration has been tainted by the CCP. It also seems that Donald Trump was right about the FBI - they are corrupt. They need a good house cleaning, starting with Chris Wray.

This is like a bad dream. We who are old enough to remember, can recall the Pentagon Papers, leaked to CBS news by Daniel Ellsberg. It was given instant credibility. It reflected poorly on President Nixon, but that was just fine with the MSM. But that was then, and this is now. The Deep State has so thoroughly infected our government, that what happened to Donald Trump was inconceivable. As much as the Deep State excoriated Trump, they are coddling Biden. SMH

To my Democrat friends - before you try and take me to the woodshed, for once again mentioning Trump and the last election, please go on YouTube to watch last night's Tucker Carlson. Corruption should bother all patriots. Republican, Democrat, or otherwise. Once you have a corrupt government, you no longer have a government. Kind of like, once you no longer have borders, you no longer have a country.

Rocket Man returns!!!

"What is up with these Commies? Why can't they behave? Why do the people of North Korea settle for living in the stone ages? Why to the citizens of Russia settle for being canon fodder for Putin?"

Some might wonder, what is wrong with this guy? Who? Putin? The guy who wants to start World War III? Nope. I am talking about the nut ball from North Korea. Kim Jong-um. Better known as (thanks Donald Trump for this one) - "Rocket Man". To fly a missile, capable of carrying a nuke, over another country, is chilling. So chilling, that the civil defense sirens went off in Japan.

If Rocket Man had any smarts inside that odd looking melon, rather than being a moron, he could take a lesson from what is happening in Russia. Russia, the "Bear", decided to poke another bear - the country which he had a distinct advantage over. Russia had a bigger army, better weapons, yadda, yadda, yadda. But what Russia did not count on, was the size of the heart in the country he invaded. And now he is getting his butt handed to him in the eastern part of Ukraine. And the body bags containing dead Russians, are piling up.

Here is the lesson that "Rocket Man" is missing. If you decide to screw with another country, you better make sure they are ready to be conquered. Otherwise, you will end up with a tiger by the tail. And besides having heart for their homeland, Japan has one important thing which North Korea does not have - money. They are a first world country whereas North Korea still lives in the past - long ago in the past.

The United States is ready for whatever China and/or North Korea has to offer. Our big air base in Guam (Anderson), keeps getting more and more fortified against any missile attacks. In fact, we just put some THAAD batteries over there. But even though Anderson is the base the ChiComs worry about the most in the WestPac, we also have Kadena in Okinawa, as well as other assets in Japan and Alaska.

But Japan is not sitting by, just waiting. The Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) is actually looking quite robust these days. 155 ships, including two AEGIS ships. In addition, Japan also has a 5th generation fighter jet. And here is the big plus - they are working on having a 6th generation fighter by the early to mid 2030's. In other words, Japan is not standing still.

There is one more thing. We are bound by treaty to protect 67 other countries (including our NATO allies). One of those countries is Japan. South Korea and the Philippines are also in that mix. As are Australia and New Zealand. What is my point here? It is nice that Japan is hardening up their defenses against North Korea, but their trump card is - us. If a North Korean missile ever landed on Japan, the Norks would have not only Japan to deal with, but also the United States.

What is up with these Commies? Why can't they behave? Why do the people of North Korea settle for living in the stone ages? Why to the citizens of Russia settle for being canon fodder for Putin? As Reagan said, American needs to show the rest of the world we are the "shining city on the hill". Are we still the good guys for the world? Yea, we are. Like it or not, we are.

The soft underbelly of a mega, natural disaster

"The irony of a big storm in Florida is simply this. The big storms happen when it is still hot down there, and the two things which seem to go out the most frequently are power and water."

This is the first week after the ravages of Hurricane Ian. The assessors from FEMA and the State of Florida are just now starting to understand the magnitude of the damage. Putting the lose of life aside for a minute (and the number probably will top 100, as predicted), the hit on the infrastructure has been unfathomable. Parts of the cone of damage, will take years, maybe decades to make it look like it did before the storm hit.

But it gets worse. The storm's track took it right over the "soft belly" of Florida's tourism. Yes, before it exited on the Atlantic side, it dumped copious amounts of rain (with some remaining wind) over Disney World. Besides that, numerous trailer parks, and RV campgrounds were hit with a sledge hammer. Hundreds of VRBO homes were damaged or destroyed. Sanibel Island was all but wiped out. Current status is - uninhabitable.

But who cares about Florida? For starters, we do. We have many friends and relatives who have retired to Florida. It is where we winter most years (not in the boot, but in the panhandle). When the rebuilding starts, we need to be smart about it. Florida has been hit with big storms for many a year now. It will continue. The building codes for houses and buildings have gotten better, and in Pensacola where we winter, the stop lights have been redesigned to withstand a nuclear blast (well, almost).

The irony of a big storm in Florida is simply this. The big storms happen when it is still hot down there, and the two things which seem to go out the most frequently, are power and water. And, when it is hot down there, the two things you need the most are - power and water. When the Fort Myers area is rebuilt, the wizards of smart in Florida need to put their thinking caps on. Like - if this happens again (and we know it will), how can we stiffen our power grid and water resources? Otherwise, parts of Florida are like they were in the 1800's. That is primitive.

Florida has really taken a shot in their solar plexus. This is the rich land where the snowbirds dream of coming down to every year. But those dreams might need to be put on hold. We are not going down south this winter, we are heading west. But next winter, we are taking our RV and going south. That is, if any of the RV camps are healed enough to handle guests.

Sometimes, a great nation

"I don't care if you are a Republican, Conservative, Democrat, Socialists, or Independent - you cannot look at me squarely in the eyes, and tell me what is happening right now in this country is okay."

How is your day going so far? It will be a beautify day. Great weather, the Vikings are playing in England, which means kickoff will be while we are in church (that goodness for DVRs!). That is the good news. If you look back on the month of September, maybe the world does not look quite a rosy. In fact, between losing hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars in your 401k, and almost daily threats from Russia to nuke us, things might look a tad grim right now. But don't worry - our President was addressing a bunch of DNC donors, and said everything was "Jodie toady".

Here are the facts. Things are not "Jodie toady" as the President believes. Most of us remember how things were. We were a great nation. Not a perfect one, but pretty darn good. Are we a great nation now? We could be. We could be again. Sometimes, we have been a great nation. The American people are fully capable of greatness. But to be great again, we need to rid this millstone around our collective necks.

I addressed this yesterday. Right now, we tetter between freedom and tyranny. Between normalcy and lunacy. Between right and wrong. The fact the Groupthink elite wants us to believe that trans men can have babies meets the criteria of lunacy and wrong. The fact the open border society wants our southern border to be leaking like a sieve also meets the criteria of lunacy and wrong. But to question that issue, invites the Groupthink elite to call us racists. To call us xenophobic nationalists.

We have taken the greatest nation ever to walk this planet, and ceded it to the "Woke" Groupthink elites. As the expression goes, "everything now is bass ackwards." Or, the Groupthink elites have made this country into a "mucking fess". I don't care if you are a Republican, Conservative, Democrat, Socialists, or Independent - you cannot look at me squarely in the eyes, and tell me what is happening right now in this country is okay. That it is even close to okay.

If we can make it until November without being nuked, we really need to vote for a responsible government. We need to once again, have a great nation. One where crime does not rule the streets. Where national borders mean something. Where we make our own stuff, with the resources we have - and yes, that includes energy.

We need to take our country back from the Groupthink elites. If we do not win next month, we will only be able to think back on America, as it was at one time, a great nation. But not any more.

The making of a tyrant (or tyrants)

"Tyrants. The world is full of them right now. We have them in our government. In our state. The world has had tyrants for years. You think we would have learned by now. But we have not. Hang on to something - the right is going to real bumpy, and help - is NOT on the way."

On YouTube, one of the channels I listen or watch as of late, is run by a couple of young Canadians. They always refer to Vladimir Putin as the "world's biggest asshole". Not something which you would hear on the MSM, but appropriate for sure. But putting the common man's vernacular aside, Putin is the world's newest and biggest tyrant. I know, I know - Putin has been a tyrant for some time now. But he has really "kicked it up a notch" as of late. Now he wants to be today's version of Dr. Strangelove.

Okay. Here is my deep thinking from this past week. BTW - if not for Hurricane Ian, there would be a boatload of news about Russia which would be absorbing most of our news cycle. But Ian has trumped all of that. Anyhow, back to my deep thinking. Most tyrants, maybe all, start out the same way. If not Putin, or Xi, or Kim Jong-un, it could be Obama, Biden, or Walz. What is starting out the same way? Thinking the people work for you, rather than you working for the people. That is how it starts. Sounds innocuous, but it really is huge. Then it grows from there. It grows until you have a megalomaniac like Putin. In his mind, he owns the world. He controls the world. And he can end the world.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely". I don't care if you are talking about Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Obama, Biden or Walz. All have been drinking their own bathwater. They are, to varying degrees, tyrants. Kings. Royalty. They ignore the will of the people who are under their rule. In Russia, Putin has gone as far as to sacrifice another 300,000 young men, to the blistering artillery and sniper attacks from the Ukrainians. What is the result of that latest conscription? People are fleeing Russia as fast as they can. The ones who are left, are on the verge of civil war.

Even in the United States, we have a President who is ignoring the Constitution. Article One of the Constitution means nothing to Joe Biden. Just like it meant nothing to Barack Obama. As Obama said (to paraphrase), "I can rule with a phone and a pen". And he did. It was horrible, just like life under Biden is horrible. Not as bad as Russia, but like I said, it is only a matter of degrees which separate one tyrant from another.

Truthfully, as unhinged as Putin is, and as inept as Biden is, I am amazed (and grateful) we made it to October. I will say again - if not for Hurricane Ian, and how devastating it was (is), The Nordstrom Pipeline sabotage, the annexation of eastern Ukraine, the exodus of Russians from their homeland - would be front and center in international news.

For domestic news? The student loan forgiveness executive action, and how much of a deficit killer that one stupid idea is. How not having more energy is hurting us, economically, and maybe with brown outs and black outs this winter. How electric cars are an idea whose time has not yet come. Don't believe me? Just ask Ford and Toyota. We have more problems and issues than you can shake a stick at, but first we have to be concerned about Putin blowing up the world.

Tyrants. The world is full of them right now. We have them in our government. In our state. The world has had tyrants for years. You think we would have learned by now. But we have not. Hang on to something - the ride is about to get very bumpy. And help - is NOT on the way.
