Minnesota's mucking fess

"Being a Democrat or Socialist in MN right now, is easy peasy. Whatever you want to do, go do it! Have a blast! If more normals move out of state and take their money with them, who cares? They are no longer wanted nor needed here anyhow. Welcome to our mucking fess. It will only get worse from here."

I will give the DFL credit for one thing. Thay have gall. They really do feel this past election has made them bullet proof. They can pass any legislation, no matter how wacky, no matter how expensive, and Taxing Timmy will sign it into law. They know all speed bumps have been removed, and with a placid electorate, they can act with impunity and speed. They have taken the light blue state of Minnesota, and made it so dark, dark blue, that only an idiot would want to move here.

Do I hate these people? No, I don't hate. I have sympathy for those who did not have the foresight to leave with the getting was good. Now those of us who remain - are stuck. First the DFL have secularized this state, and now they will impoverish it. After giving 60,000 felons the right to vote, and with legal voting for illegals right around the corner, MNGOP will not even be able to get a dogcatcher elected. Minnesota will be a permanent gulag for the DFL and worse. It is a state which will soon run out of other people's money, and then start the slow rot to serfdom.

I heard on the news this morning, that two of the bills being prepped are guaranteed income for poorer folks, and money for homeless youth. There is also talk about reparations for George Floyd's family, along with a public apology. Did I mention there is also a bill to change "pregnant women" to "birthing persons"? One would think that just like with severe drunk, once enough liquor (or in this case, crazy legislation) is consumed. the drunk would become satiated. Nope. Pour that drunk another, please!

Two of our state legislators go to our church. I have the chance to chat with them most every Sunday. How do they look and talk? First off, sometimes they have the "1,000 yard stare", like they have been in a horrible battle. Well, they have. They also sound very defeated when describing the craziness they see each and every day down in St. Paul. As Governor Sanders from Arkansas has recently said, "We no longer have red and blue - we now have normal and crazy". In St. Paul right now, welcome to the world of crazy.

It has been said, we get the government we deserve. The sad part is, most the electorate are either asleep or apathetic. Besides having not enough MNGOP elected to stop this madness, there are no citizens in the streets with pitchforks and torches.

Being a Democrat or Socialist in MN right now, is easy peasy. Whatever you want to do, go do it! Have a blast! If more normals move out of state and take their money with them, who cares? They are no longer wanted nor needed here anyhow. Welcome to our mucking fess. It will only get worse from here.

Was January 6th a Canard?

"I hope the new Congress starts up a new January 6th Committee. One which was balanced, and searching for the truth. The last commission was nothing but a sham, loaded up with ideologues who had agendas. It was filled with lies, lies and more lies."

Oh boy. Just when you thought things could not get any more divided in our country, we now have the official tapes of January 6th, released to Tucker Carlson of Fox News. These are not doctored tapes; they are not "deep fake" tapes; they are official government tapes. The same ones used by the "official" January 6th Committee. Only out of the 40,000 hours of tapes, the "official" committee cherry picked the heck out of these tapes, and left the other side of the event, laying on the cutting room floor.

Last night, I saw a dead man walking. Literally. Brian Sicknick, who was the Capitol policeman who was "beaten to death" by protesters using a fire extinguisher, somehow came back to life, and the videos show him doing his job inside the Capitol building. But, he was dead - beaten to death. Or - as reported in other than the MSM, he died of natural causes after the January 6th event was over.

And the QAnon Shamon, aka Jacob Chansley, was shown being very friendly with Capitol cops (and visa versa). What was he guilty of? Maybe not much. Walking around. But who cares? The Navy veteran, this patriot, is now sitting in some government prison for a four year term. Was he railroaded? I think we all know the answer to that question.

How about the murder of Ashli Babbitt? Remember her? The unarmed vet who was shot in the face by Capitol police officer, Michael Byrd? What was the punishment for Byrd? Nada. Compare that with the punishment for MSP officer Derek Chauvin, who was sentenced to 22.5 years for the death of George Floyd. Both involved one black and one white person. One was no charge, and the other was 22.5 years. Did Ashli Babbitt receive justice? Absolutely not! Was Officer Chauvin railroaded? I think many of us know the answer to that one.

I hope the new Congress starts up a new January 6th Committee. One which was balanced, and searching for the truth. The last commission was nothing but a sham, loaded up with ideologues who had agendas. It was filled with lies, lies and more lies. Think I am smoking something illegal? Watch Tucker, and then let me know what you think. Remember - these are the same tapes the commission used. Not doctored by anyone at Fox News. Just saying...

Was CPAC a "Trumpfest"?

"How is campaign season going to be this year? Interesting, to say the least. I really don't care who the nominee for our party is right now, so long as he or she can retire Biden. We need our country back. We need the adults in charge again."

Here we are. CPAC is now over. Just like previous years, Donald Trump was the main attraction. How much so? He smoked all the rest, including Ron DeSantis. Was does that mean going forward? If this is going to be a race for the nomination, somebody needs to come forward and "bloody" Don's nose. Right now, I don't see that happening. And if it does not, Don should have a smooth ride to the convention.

How could a twice impeached President have the following that Trump has? Simple answer. The party faithful know that Trump was being railroaded by the left. Even if there was some sparks under the smoke with things Trump has been accused of, the evidence that the "Deep State" was out to get him, obscured any flames or smoke. In going after Trump, the left and the "Deep State" have so overplayed their hands.

Despite his thin skin which has hurt him at times, Donald Trump brings many things to the party. First off, he is fearless. To wade back into the swamp, Donald Trump needs to have ice water running through his veins. And he does. Plus, he has a personal mandate. He feels his job was only half done. If he can have a friendly Congress, maybe he can unscrew many of the things which have been screwed up by others (if you know what I mean). But will Trump lead us into war? Hello? Where do you think we are now?

Here is my one fear however, with a second term of Donald Trump. I think Trump's inability to play with others really hurt him in his first term. Especially, those in his cabinet. I think Trump has the acumen to put this country on the right trajectory, but we need to have much of the background noise due to conflict, eliminated. Full speed ahead with a unified GOP. If not, if we have four more years of bickering and infighting - it is going to be ugly.

If Trump wins the nomination, I will support him fully. However, if I had my choice, I would like DeSantis to have a shot at the job. Like Trump, he is no shrinking violet. Unlike Trump, he has military experience, legal experience, and executive experience from running a large state. And it goes without saying, DeSantis has turned this purple state red.

How is campaign season going to be this year? Interesting, to say the least. I really don't care who the nominee for our party is right now, so long as he or she can retire Biden. We need our country back. We need the adults in charge again. War is right around the corner, and we need someone who can extinguish the blaze.

A bad car, going off the track...

"The DFL is a bad car (Tim Walz), now going off the track (DFL). The normals are on the sidelines watching, as the crazies continue to ruin the state. Iowa, the state I once made fun of, is looking better, more and more. So are the Dakotas."

What the Sam Hill is going on in St. Paul these days? The DFL Oligarchy, led by Taxing Timmy, has taken leave of their senses. This past week, Tim Walz signed a bill allowing 60,000 felons to vote. Past statistics have shown that felons vote overwhelmingly DFL. Between the abortion bill, the climate bill, driver licenses for illegals, the marijuana bill - what could be next? How about a ban on plastic drinking bottles?

Water bottles? Really? What could become of that bill, should it signed into law? First off, it will hurt food retailers. As if they have not been hurt enough by the pandemic and Joe's manmade inflation. If you want to see a run for the borders every shopping day, just try and make plastic water bottles illegal in Minnesota. It will be chaos, and give hoarding a whole new dimension.

Every penny in our giant reserve is in real jeopardy right now. The DFL wants to spend all of it, and Taxing Timmy has designs on taxing even some more. Meanwhile, Iowa, the Dakotas, and Wisconsin are on the sidelines clapping and cheering. As Minnesota self destructs even further, the "open for business" signs are popping up all over the lands on the other side of our borders. Does Tim Walz care? Not a bit. He will hose up this state, and then retire back to Nebraska.

One more thing about our esteemed Governor. He has nixed the plan to take the state tax off of Social Security. The irony is, that will affect every senior - Republican, Democrat and Independent. Why is he so hard over on this common sense fix that most states have already addressed? He thinks he is getting back at only Republicans. If I were a Democrat, I would be spitting mad over this one.

Once Walz leaves Minnesota, and the DFL legislators go back to their gulags, Minnesota will be on a trajectory, to be a cold state, with unlivable taxes, and not enough power. We will be a sanctuary city for illegals, abortions up to the 4th trimester, legal pot (and maybe more), no mining, limited farming, and EV cars without enough charging stations. Crime will continue to rule the Twin Cities, and the punishment for most crimes will be a slap on the wrist.

The DFL is a bad car (Tim Walz), now going off the track (DFL). The normals are on the sidelines watching, as the crazies continue to ruin the state. Iowa, the state I once made fun of, is looking better, more and more. So are the Dakotas. Wisconsin? Maybe if they get rid of Tony Evers. But right now I would take the bright red state of Iowa. Close enough to our grandies to keep grandma happy, and far enough from Tim Walz so I don't go broke.

...wars, and rumors of wars...

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is sure to come. Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginnings of birth pangs."

Matthew 24:6

Eschatologists have studied this passage from the Bible for generations. With the re-establishment of Israel in 1948, many think the "clock is ticking". That the generation who was born in 1948 or later, will be the last generation. The end of days. The great battle which will pit nation against nation, so much so, it will be a total world war. And it won't last long. Maybe only a day.

I find it interesting that many who celebrate during the Easter Season, the season of the Risen Christ, have little interest in talking about Christ's return. He will come back not as a lamb, but as the Lion of Judah. And it could be very soon - or not. No man knows the day nor the time. But the Holy Bible is full of clues that we could be very close. When that time comes, it will happen very quickly. It will be a very good day, for those who follow Christ.

What has happened at Asbury College, and is happening at other locations all over the world, cannot be ignored. I was at a men's ministry group last Saturday. It was at our church, and we collaborated with another church to put this event on. We flew in a guest speaker, who specialized in men's ministry. It was powerful ministry to say the least. How much so? Earlier this week, I received an email from the man who organized the event. Out of 170 men, 10 gave their lives to Christ at or after the event!

Why is this such a big deal? Luke 15:7 tells us:

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance."

Wars, and rumors of wars. It is hard to watch the news as of late, without hearing more threats from China, North Korea and Russia. Our Secretary of Defense has recently put out a communication to the entire force that China was now our number one concern. When Iran has their nuke done this spring, expect to hear additional threats come from them - especially aimed at Israel.

Two things we should know for sure. First, this world is like a powder keg right now, and the smallest spark could start the inferno. Second, Jesus is coming back. You can choose to accept that or reject it, but He is coming back. It will be the end of days. But for followers, it will be the best of days.

As the pendulum swings...

"2024 is right around the corner. Will the pendulum be back to at least the middle? Or will it be on the right? Or still mired on the left?"

My wife reminds me of this often. How in our society, there is a giant pendulum. It swings for politics, morality, and so forth. For reasons I can't explain, our nation's pendulum has taken a huge and unexpected swing to the left in 2020 and 2022. So much so, we are way, way out of balance. Out of whack (so to speak). Like we have been whacked out.

I know, I know. Both Biden and Walz lied to us. Biden told us he would be the "great unifier" and pull this country back together again. Hogwash. He is more of a Bernie than Bernie Sanders is. He lied, "bigly". And Tim Walz, the phony from Nebraska, promised us all a "One Minnesota". BS in capital letters, and lit in neon lights. The only thing "One" he gave us was "One DFL". Again, Walz lied, "bigly". And now our nation's and state's pendulums are stuck in the far left position. But wait - there might be a glimmer of hope in this very dark tale.

Eyes are being opened. Eyes which have been covered with scales, are now recovering. Minds are coming back. Some common sense is starting to once again reappear in the middle and (gasp - dare I say it?) - also on the left.

Glimmers of hope have been seen in once super leftists. Like John Stewart. Or Bill Mahar. Just to name a couple. The left have gone so far to the dark side, that many who have been riding that train, are jumping off. I just saw on the news that a Republican legislator in Florida, is putting forward a bill which would abolish the Democrat Party in Florida. Now, we all know that would never happen. But that is just another example of how the pendulum might be making its journey back to the right.

When my kids were younger, I would tell them you can learn just as much from a bad example as a good one. If it is teacher, boss, or whatever. We can also learn from bad leadership in government. My gosh - if we can't see what is happening right now in our country or state, there is a big problem! The entropy is out in the open, lit in neon lights, for all to see. Biden and Walz are terrible, and those who cannot see that, have large blind spots.

2024 is right around the corner. Will the pendulum be back to at least the middle? Or will it be on the right? Or still mired on the left? If we re-elect Joe Biden for another four years, I will volunteer to SpaceX to be the oldest person to live on the Moon. Or Mars. Or better yet - Beam me up Scotty! I have had it down here!

A very bad neighbor

"Our interests are the last thing China thinks of. They may hate us, they may only dislike us. But they certainly do not like us. The sooner we can divorce them, the better. Right now, we are about as vulnerable as vulnerable can get."

I have a neighbor whom I have a love/hate relationship with. Okay - maybe not too much love. And I try not to hate. In any event, I have thought for a while, that he might not have my best interests at heart. I am very dependent on him however - he allows me to use many things he owns. Of course, he charges me rent to use them. If he ever decided to put an end to that arrangement, I don't know what I would do. I would be stuck.

He is also a nosey SOB. He ease drops on our family all the time. He is a peeking Tom, and at times I have caught him going through out mail box. The last straw however, was when he bought a drone which had special features on it. He flew it over my house and let it loiter. I think he was trying to pick up some "tempest" emissions, leaking from our personal computers. Maybe some passwords, or account info. Man, what a jerk! I accused him of spying on us, and he of course, denied it. I told him next time he flew that drone over my house, I would take my shotgun and shoot it down!

Get the picture? This is not about me and a neighbor. It is about the United States and China. China, the very bad neighbor. What is our relationship like with China? Very complicated. As they try to steal us blind, and threaten our allies in the South China Sea, they continue to make many of the products that we use here at home.

What would happen if China made a move on Taiwan? And the United States got dragged into that conflict? First off, besides putting our troops stationed in the western Pacific in extreme harm's way, China could also unleash the mother of all cyber attacks on the United States. Even though we could (and most likely would) pay them back with an "eye watering" cyber response, we could have large swaths of the country without electricity, water, gas and so forth. Some, for long periods of time. Could it get any worse? Oh, yes.

They would not even need to nuke us to bring us to our knees. And to our knees we would go in a New York minute. They could immediately cease participation in our supply chain. Everything they make for us (and it is a bunch of stuff) - they would stop. That would be everything, including life giving medications. As we would say in the Navy, China has us by the short hairs.

Donald Trump would talk about this all the time. We need to make our own stuff. Not China - us. Two years into Biden, and we still are locked into China. If this does not scare you - it should. China is a bad actor.

Our interests are the last thing China thinks of. They may hate us, they may only dislike us. But they certainly do not like us. The sooner we can divorce them, the better. Right now, we are about as vulnerable as vulnerable can get.
