As we boldly enter the "Season of the Which"...

"One final word about today's ranting. One of our favorite lunch restaurants which is no longer around was Which Which is Which. Another play on words. My wife loved that place not only for the great food, but the cleverness of the title. Maybe those who don't like this article will at least like the cleverness of its title. Just maybe?"

I can hear the caterwauling by some on the left already. That silly old Bird used the wrong word in the title of this article. Guess what? I did not. This has nothing to do with ghosts and goblins and witches on Halloween coming up this weekend. It does, however, have everything to do with the final few days before the midterms. Even though a couple of the gals on the blue side look a bit witchy, this season is all about which - as in, which to choose.

As we enter the final week of the campaign season (that goodness!), I am struck by something interesting. In the cozy little burg that I live in, our senate district always shellacks the DFL when it comes to local elections. Rarely is it even close. However, this year might be different. There is a plethora of campaign signs all over the place for ever DFL type who is running for anything. In other words, in years past the DFL would throw a sacrificial lamb in for just about any of the races and give tepid support and a meager amount of money to each campaign. This year, despite the graft and mismanagement of the state and country, the DFL might sense blood in the water.

It is hard to believe (in fact - I don't believe it) that there are still a percentage of folks who will vote for each candidate who are still undecided. How in the world, with all the propaganda that has been filling the airwaves, internet and traditional media, can somebody still be undecided? There is a school of thought going around that many of the undecided are not people who are unaffected with any party - they are disenchanted Republicans. They are sitting on their hands trying to decide to either hold their noses and vote or sit this one out.

To me, this election is a no-brainer. Anybody who was in an elected state office during this era of fraud, needs to be fired. No questions asked - just show that person the door. Next, any doe-eyed politician who wants to raise taxes in this already high taxed state, gets an automatic NO vote. And one more thing. Most people who have more than one brain cell, knows that this election is about our future - not about the past. In other words, DFL types can hate Trump with every fiber of their beings, but Donald Trump (starting in 2027), will officially be a lame duck president.

One final word about today's ranting. One of our favorite lunch restaurants which is no longer around was Which Which is Which. Another play on words. My wife loved that place not only for the great food, but the cleverness of the title. Maybe those who don't like this article will at least like the cleverness of its title. Just maybe?
