Man of steel

"For those who do not believe we are entering one of the most dangerous periods in our history, better wake up and have another cup of coffee. This is a time when we will need a person of strong presence and unlimited courage to lead us."

No comic book fans - this is not about Clark Kent, nor Superman. It is however, about the strongest person (for his age) I think I have ever seen. I am talking about our President, Donald J. Trump. Now before you Never Trumpers hang up the phone and move on, let me say this one thing to mollify you.

In my opinion, Donald Trump is a flawed man. He sometimes says things he should not. He sometimes does a "Ready, Fire, Aim" when he speaks or tweets. He sometimes steps over the line of veracity, by too much embellishment. There, I have said all the negatives I can about this President. Even with that "thorn in his flesh", Donald Trump is the best President we have had since Ronald Reagan.

For those who do not believe we are entering one of the most dangerous periods in our history, better wake up and have another cup of coffee. This is a time when we will need a person of strong presence and unlimited courage to lead us. To use common vernacular, we need someone with balls. Someone who is not afraid to lead. Someone who can take a punch over and over and over again - and still come out swinging. We need Donald Trump.

What is being bushed aside by the socialist media (again), is a very important accomplishment that Donald Trump recently had. He and his son-in-law, recently garnered a peace deal between Israel and the UAE. In fact, the first commercial flight between Israel and the UAE took place just a few days ago. This peace deal is so huge, so unexpected, Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Unlike Obama who received one for "something he might do" (and never did), Trump's nomination has got some meat on the bone. It means something for long term peace in the Middle East.

Yesterday, Donald Trump signed an executive order banning offshore drilling off the coast of Florida and Georgia. For people down there, that was huge. And this was a total win for everyone. Why? Under Trump's leadership, we are energy independent. We have plenty of gas and oil right now. We simply don't need additional wells being drilled off the coast of Florida. It is that risk vs. reward thing. The risk is way higher than the reward. And all of a sudden, the state of Florida is starting to tilt away from Biden and towards the President.

I don't know if Donald Trump is a man for all seasons - but I do know this - he is a man for THIS season. He calls people on their BS when they deserve it. That includes world leaders who have gotten away with "things", for way, way too long.  Our allies for example. For those who have not paid their fair share to NATO, Donald Trump is calling them out. For trade deals which are crap for us, he has abrogated, and then replaced with better ones. For China, who thinks they can roam the South China Sea unchecked, Donald Trump has performed a checkmate with our Navy. For Russia, who is boasting about their super duper hypersonic missiles, Donald Trump has said, "We have some of those also - better than yours."

Joe Biden is the 97 pound weakling, who goes to the beach and has bullies kick sand in his face. Donald Trump on the other hand, can't stand bullies. He will vanquish all bullies, foreign or domestic. He will fix was is broken. He will restore our greatness. He will enforce our laws and protect our borders.

Is Donald Trump Superman? Sort of. He can out think, and out work, people half his age. Plus (and this is huge) - he keeps his promises. What? How? A politician who keeps his promises? Donald Trump is NOT a politician. Maybe that is why and how he does keep his promises.

China: Friend or fiend?

"The people in Hong Kong love America. They love Donald Trump. In America, they see freedom. In America they see a future."

Is there a China in our future? This massively large country, who somehow has certain politicians cowed, and others very wary. Can we ignore China? No way Jose! But can we continue to deal with China like we have been for decades? Not if we are smart. While we were tripping along, fat, dumb, and happy, China was eating our lunch. Stealing our IP. Skinning us alive in trade deals. Building a "blue water" navy. Developing fake islands, so China could better control the South China Sea. Nope. China is not my friend.

Our intel guys have told us China does not want Donald Trump re-elected. They think he is too "unpredictable". That is the top message. I am sure there is also a subliminal message. That they would love to have part of the Obama/Biden team back in the White House. Whereas Donald Trump has been a wrecking ball to what China has tried to "build up" with America, Joe Biden they can play like a fiddle.

How about Hong Kong? How is that going these days? Just as a refresher, here is what the Sino-British Joint Declaration stipulated when signed in 1984. In 1997, Hong Kong would become part of China (sort of). For fifty years after 1997, Hong Kong, even though a part of China, would still have its capitalistic system, and live under Hong Kong laws. That however, would expire in the year 2047. Once again, how is that going? Whoops - seems like the Sino memories of the deal got very short. Either that, or 2047 came about a whole lot sooner than expected.

The people in Hong Kong love America. They love Donald Trump. In America, they see freedom. In America they see a future. With China, they see only chains. By the way, where are the British in all of this? They inked the deal with China - the deal that China broke. They should inform China the deal is off, and take Hong Kong back under their wing. But the Brits are like America under Obama/Biden. Go along, come along. China takes everyone to the cleaners, and nobody seems to care. That is - except Donald Trump. No wonder the ChiComs want him gone.

Meanwhile, the "greenies" in America are blaming every hurricane, heatwave, thunderstorm or dark cloud - on the United States pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement. Meanwhile, nobody says "boo" about China. And why should they? China is the world's biggest climate polluter. 73% of all China's CO2 emissions come from the burning of coal - more than all of Europe, Africa, and America combined. Bottom line? The ChiComs are twice the polluter that the United States is, and nobody cares.

I won't even get into the Uyghur issue. Save that for another day. Donald Trump cares about it. Our civil rights aficionados only want to re-litigate 1619. They should be looking eastward towards China right now, it they want to see real civil rights violations.

So - is China a friend or a fiend? I know what my answer is. It is the same since 1970, when I was serving in the Navy in the WestPac. That was back during the Mao days. I had the opportunity to do a deep dive into what makes China tick for a long time. They are fiends, not friends. The people are fine, just not the government, which is evil. Donald Trump has their number. Joe Biden does not. Remember than in November.

Sign vandals

"Here is the odd thing, which many on the other side don't realize. When they vandalize a sign, and their signs remain untouched, it only reflects on them."

I have often said, it takes a special kind of child to vandalize or steal a campaign sign for someone you disagree with. What kind of child? One who never grew up. A JD. A loser. Over the years, I have seen plenty of signs which I disagree with. Some a little, some a lot. For example, when Obama was running for re-election, and I knew the damage he was doing to the country, I never touched one of his signs. Most on my side of the street feel the same way. The other side however - are thugs, punks, vandals, and worse.

Defacing a sign put up by Republicans or conservatives in on the same level as shouting down a conservative speaker on a college campus. Once again, you never see conservatives do that to a socialist or progressive speaker. If a conservative does not agree with the bilge a socialist is spewing, that conservative would simply not attend the event. A socialist punk on the other hand, would feel compelled to violate many peoples First Amendment rights by shouting a person down. Amazing.

This election on November 3rd will come and go. However, the hard feelings which are surrounding us will remain for a long, long time. The name calling, the vitriol, the vandalism, the rioting, the doxxing, the gaslighting, the hate - will last maybe forever. This acrimony has been a scourge upon us all.

A good way to begin to turn things around, is to protect each other's First Amendment rights. Like freedom of speech. That would include public speaking as well as having a political sign in a yard or by the side of the road. If you disagree with someone's sign, put one of your own choosing in your yard. Or by the road. Or don't. That is the point. In our free country, you are free to agree or disagree. But as the old adage goes, you may swing you fist as wide and as fast as you choose. That is your right. That is your right until your fist touches the tip of someone's nose. That is where your rights cease, and the other person's rights begin.

Here is the odd thing, which many on the other side don't realize. When they vandalize a sign, and their signs remain untouched, it only reflects on them. It is like hate begin a backward emotion. Hate affects the hater much more that the hated. Whenever a punk vandal defaces or steals a sign, they open their kimono. They show the world just how shallow and without merit they are. In other words - losers. Vapid, insipid, sophomoric, spoiled children. Spoiled children which never grew up. Worst of all, they are un-American. They don't deserve to live in this great country.

A house divided...

"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand."

Matthew 12:25

Some have recently said they are very worried about what our nation will look like on November 4th. That this election, can be the final fracture. The fracture which will split this nation in two. I have thought about that as of late. Like, how much worse (sans all out gun warfare), can it get? In my book, this nation is now either at the tipping point, or sadly, just past that point. What happens on November 3rd might just be the exclamation mark, to a very sad part of our nation's developing history.

The Word says in Matthew 12:25, ..."Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand." For those who believe in the Living Christ, those were His words. For those who do not, those words probably don't matter. The point being is simply this - our nation, this great American Experiment, was founded on a firm foundation of faith in God as well as belief in liberty and freedom. The rights we enjoy, are not government granted rights - they are God given rights. Always have been, always will be.

For reasons unknown to many of us, the Democrat socialists have decided to eschew any belief in God. In fact, God gets in their way so much, and in so many ways, they want to write Him out of their platform. That is a bad, bad idea. Once a nation turns its back on God, His blessings will stop. When that happens, our country once known as America, will become nothing more than pagans and hedonists fighting against each other over the spoils of war. This once golden land will become scorched Earth. And the world will enter a very dark period.

Does it have to come to this? Are we in fact, doomed? I don't believe this dystopian future is a certainty. However, I think it is indeed very possible, if we are not careful in where we tread. If we vote for the secular humanists, who worship man instead of God, then our future will be set.

Many believe Donald Trump was meant to be our President in 2016. That he was a Godsend. But wait - Trump is a flawed man. Why would God use a flawed man to save America? The Holy Bible is replete with stories of God using flawed people to accomplish His purpose. And Donald Trump has been under constant attack since taking his oath. He is still under attack today. He will be under attack until November 3rd. Lies, falsehoods, and half truths. Spiritual warfare, 101.

We need to pray for our President. We need to pray for our country. Satan would love to have our country ripped to shreds. We need to pray Donald Trump is re-elected. It is not Joe Biden I am worried about - it is the evil which is behind him. We cannot let evil rule and then ruin our country. Not now, not ever. For those who do not believe in spiritual warfare, need only to look around. It is here, it is real, it is trying to destroy us.

Biden's war?

"Joe Biden is a tough guy to support for many of the socialists. First off, there is no 'there, there.' He is an empty suit. Even when he had all of his marbles, he was an empty suit."

Oh boy. The flood gates are really starting to open. With a bit less than two months to go until the election, the dirty tricks team (which would be about everyone on Team Blue), is out in full force. In the past couple of weeks, the team has gone from lying about the President's health, to lying about how he feels about our service men and women. And now to throw a bit more gasoline on the fire, Bezo's rag known as the Washington Post, is threatening all out war.

War? What kind of war? This op/ed piece was penned by Rose Brooks, who is Georgetown University Law Professor. In that piece, entitled, What's the worst that could happen?, Brooks said we are headed for a bloody time in our history, starting on Wednesday, November 4th. What? Are we all doomed? Mostly, yes. That is, unless the American voters come to their senses, and elect Biden in an overwhelming landslide. Then everything will be cool after the election.

First off, just a wild guess. I would say Ms Parks is a life long Democrat. Probably a Hillary supporter as well as Biden. If I, on the other hand, wrote a piece similar to this for the Star Tribune to publish, saying if Trump does not win in a landslide, blood would flow in the streets - my article would end up in the shredder. And in the unlikely event the paper did publish my article, there would be mutts all over the area trying to doxx me. My guess is that did not happen to Ms Parks. Only praise and adoration.

Joe Biden is a tough guy to support for many of the socialists. First off, there is no "there, there." He is an empty suit. Even when he had all of his marbles, he was an empty suit. He is an opportunist, who has enriched his family by using his title(s) for their benefit. He is a master flip-flopper, who changes his mind six days out of seven. And he is lazy. He has sucked off the government teat for 47 years now, and has not done spit. Nothing. Nada. The President is correct to refer to Biden as "low energy".

Some may be sick of Trump due to his demeanor and language. Others may not like him because he is a Republican. But he does get stuff done. He keeps his promises. Biden on the other hand, has the black community fooled into thinking he will be their panacea. In reality, Biden promises everything to that community, and delivers nothing. The President on the other hand, only promised to juice up the economy so all boats were lifted in this new tide. And the boats were lifted - especially in the black and brown communities.

Not too long ago, we would have to have to wait until October for the "October surprise". No longer. Now it is the August and September surprises. And there will be more coming. How do I know? I know how low the other side is willing to go. Will there be war if Trump wins? Not by our side. It is never about our side. Only the recalcitrant children on the other side.

All that, for an 8 hour day

"Unlike the days of old, this federal holiday passes without too much fanfare. Now the labor unions are more concerned with social issues. AND - they have become way, way too political."

Today it starts for some. A four day weekend. The last "biggie" of the summer. The end of fun for youth, as many schools start next Tuesday. Labor Day. Years ago, it was synonymous with the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Now it is just the "closer" to summer. Most have no idea where this holiday even came from.

It all started with the loosely organized labor movement wanting to work an eight hour day. Not just here, but also in other countries like New Zealand. The time period was the 1880's and 1890's. Europe already celebrated a labor day - May 1st. Canada also celebrated a labor day celebration - again on May Day (May 1st). The labor movement of the United States decided it was our turn also. And they wanted it either on May 1st, or somewhere close to that.

More and more states started to celebrate the first Monday in September as Labor Day. They wanted a May date, but the President at that time was wary of having a celebration close to the date of the Haymarket Bombing in Chicago. That was a labor demonstration in Chicago which turned violent in 1886. In 1984, President Glover Cleveland signed a bill into law establishing this day, the first Monday in September, to honor the labor that citizens of this country perform during the year. Thus was born Labor Day weekend.

Unlike the days of old, this federal holiday passes without too much fanfare. Now the labor unions are more concerned with social issues. AND - they have become way, way too political. They live deep in the back pockets of the Democrat Party. However, this past election there were some defections to vote for Donald Trump. Why? Believe it or not, Trump had better solutions for the unions than Queen Hillary had. As they do with many of their monolithic voting blocks, Democrats quite often take the labor vote for granted.

This weekend we will fire up the grill. Burgers, hot dogs, brats, and steaks are on the menu. Soon, the weather will cool, as the first harbingers of fall and winter will be upon us. Our meals will evolve from the grill, to oven baked comfort food. For many, Labor Day is not as much of a holiday as it is a tipping point. The tipping point between summer and early fall. After this scorcher of a summer, I only can say one thing - BRING ON FALL AND COOLER WEATHER!

Next up - the monuments of WDC

"Right now, this nation is like a couple with a bad marriage living in the same house. The relationship is acrimonious and hate filled."

I will say this for this fun bunch of America haters - they don't ever stop. Nope - it is one thing after another. They are out to destroy or change or "cancel" anything, and everything. When they were toppling statues, they did not care if they also toppled abolitionist statues from the Civil War period. Nope. They were racists also. In Portland, they damaged the every expensive condo of "woke" sympathizer, Mayor Ted Wheeler. Whoops - now poor Teddy needs to move. But who cares? It is all for the movement. All the destruction and mayhem we have seen so far, has only set the table for their next act.

This group of misfits are just chomping at the bit to get the lifeless Joe Biden elected as President. After all, that darn old "Orange Man" has done nothing, but get in their way. Once Biden is elected, he will not have the balls to stop what they want to do next. Target = Washington DC. That hotbed of racists and white supremacist monuments. Get rid of them all - including the 555 foot high Washington Monument.

No - wait. This is a joke, right? Nope. This is once again the tail wagging the dog. The vast majority of Americans think this group of America haters are just a bunch of nut balls. But in the urban core, they are looked upon as "woke reformers". They are almost worshiped. They are the ones who will finally set things right in this "broken" country. This land of invaders and conquerors. In other words, those damn white guys!

And this slave thing we had in our beginning - wow! Are they ever teaching the new version of that issue in our schools today! Those "whities" from yesteryear, brought in people of color from all over, just so this young nation could oppress them. But here is the truth about slavery (once again). In the early slave trading days, over ten million people of color were taken from Africa to be enslaved in other countries. Some slave traders were white, some were black. The percentage of slaves which came to the colonies was between 3% and 5% of the total trade. True, one slave is one too many. But we were small potatoes compared to other countries back then. But it was still wrong. And this nation fought its most costly war (with itself), to right this wrong. Why re-litigate this issue today? As Biden always says, "Come on man!"

So this nation, this beacon of light for the world to see, this great American Experiment - will come to an end if Joseph Biden becomes POTUS 46. His Vice President, an AOC wannabe, will roll Biden on every "woke" issue which comes up. But here is the very bad news. The citizens and patriots will not take this dismantling of their country lying down. Under Biden, this great country will be torn apart at the seams by the next civil war. Only this war will not be about slavery. It will be about freedom and liberty.

Right now, this nation is like a couple with a bad marriage living in the same house. The relationship is acrimonious and hate filled. One side wants to preserve the wedding vows, which were taken almost 250 years ago. The other side wants a marriage which looks nothing like a marriage. The other side no longer wants vows, nor fidelity - just pleasure for pleasure's sake. In other words - hedonism.

You may not like Donald Trump. You may not like his language or methods. But his results are immutable. He is the only one, the only thing, which is keeping this shaky marriage together right now. If we lose Trump and get Biden, we will lose everything. God help us all.
