Can we call it what it is???

"Other than that, I got nothing. All I know is this - it is not the guns. Take every gun away in the world, melt them down, and the problem will still be here. How do I know? Ask Able. Seems that Cain did not kill him with a gun, and he is just as dead."

Yesterday, in an upbeat suburb of Dallas, it happened again. Some young man, with probably mental health issues, drove to an outdoor mall with a long gun - and opened fire. Fortunately, a cop was in the area taking care of another matter. He heard the shots and got to the mall as fast as he could. Once there, he confronted the shooter, and put an end to the carnage. Even though the cop saved countless lives by getting there so fast, eight innocent people lay dead, with a handful taken to the hospital.

Last week, someone was asked why group shootings have become commonplace these days. They have gone from very rare, to very common. Why? He said it is because people are angry and/or frustrated. Possibly true. My thoughts? Mental illness is on the rise and not being addressed. As much of a 2A guy that I am, I am starting to be concerned about lethal weapons in the hands of someone who is unhinged. Someone who either has unbridled hate in his or her heart, or mental illness has taken that person to the end of the line. Kill, and then be killed. Go out in a hail of bullets.

Violence is nothing new to mankind. It has been going on since Cain killed his brother Able. With an AR-15? No - with the weapon of choice in the Old Testament - a rock. Rocks, then swords, then spears, then arrows, then finally guns. Joe Biden wants to get rid of guns. That will stop the violence. WRONG! As the saying goes, a gun does not kill people. The person squeezing the trigger kills people.

People, who are deranged or have hate in their hearts, will kill other people. Fact. If not with a gun, it could be a knife, a heavy ashtray, bare hands, or poison. What is the point? If you want to kill, there are a thousand ways in which to do it.

I remember hearing a Navy Seal a few years back. He said, "I have been trained to kill. If you are my enemy, and we are in close quarters, I will kill you with any means necessary. If I had to, and had no other weapon, I would chew your face off with my bare teeth." Why bring this up? If the objective is to kill someone, and you were committed to do so, it will be done.

Back to the carnage in Dallas. How do we stop things like this? More cops, and more armed guards. Why did this person shoot up a mall. Why did the person last week shoot up a medical office. Why do students shoot up a school? Soft targets. We need to assume that all soft targets are vulnerable, and could be an opportunity of choice. Harden all soft targets, and do it now.

We also need to step up our game on how to treat mental illness. Right now we are doing a piss poor job. We can do better - we must do better.

Other than that, I got nothing. All I know is this - it is not the guns. Take every gun away in the world, melt them down, and the problem will still be here. How do I know? Ask Able. Seems that Cain did not kill him with a gun, and he is just as dead.

Of mice and men...

"But all Kevin's logic will be drown out by the caterwauling from the blue team. How do I know? I have seen this movie before. Over, and over, and over again."

I have to hand it to the Democrats. Their plan has worked for decades now, and appears that it will work again. Kevin McCarthy is going to 1) get blamed when we default on the debt ceiling, or 2) get branded a wuss by his team when he caves into the pressure. And for the Democrats? They have proven themselves to be big time spenders of money we don't have (I know, I know - the Republicans do it also - just not as much as the Democrats do), and then bitch and holler when the Republicans stall on raising the debt ceiling. And the sleeping populous who vote blue year after year, always have sided with the donkeys on this issue.

McCarthy's inner voice has to be saying, "Kick the can down the street Kevin, like we always do." But Kevin knows the Freedom Caucus will call for his scalp if he does that. So, where does that leave our new Speaker? In a box canyon. Who is going to help him out? Not the President. He has nothing to lose. He will not get blamed for the debt ceiling impasse. In the eyes of the sleepy minions, Biden will never get blamed for anything. Graft, gaffs, BS, debt - nothing. It is all the "extremist MAGA types" fault. That would be you and me, friends.

How is this going to end up? Don't know, and don't care. It simply does not matter. Why is that? Kevin wants the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act repealed. Why? First off, can't afford it. Second off, it does NOTHING to stem inflation. If anything, it will make it worse. Kevin also wants to claw back much of those Covid dollars which are not needed anymore. When Biden heard that, he gasped, stumbled a bit, and screamed out, "NEVER"! And why couldn't we claw back those dollars? Unknown. You would need to ask Brandon.

So here we sit, almost $32T in debt, and the gullible blue pill takers want even more of the same. What have I learned? It is not the corrupt politicians which are the problem. It is the voters. We have millions and millions of idiots who are so self absorbed, they don't give a rat's behind about the country. What if we go bankrupt as a nation? Their answer? Screw it - let our kids and grandkids worry about that one!

Kevin can get up in front of the mics and cameras as much as he wants, using logic to explain why the red team has the right answer on this most vexing issue. But all Kevin's logic will be drown out by the caterwauling from the blue team. How do I know? I have seen this movie before. Over, and over, and over again.

The RICO solution?

"Anyhow, we will take our victories and gains where we can get them. Hopefully, this RICO strategy will scare some of these younger lawbreakers straight. But the cancer of crime has grown deep in many big, blue cities."

East is west. Up is down. Red is white. Victims are perps, perps are victims. In this topsy-turvy world we live in, this week we have seen a ray of sanity. And of all places - here. Whereas many cities are accepting this growing crime wave as the their "new normal", and as AOC has said, "Get used to it", our US Attorney has decided to take an old trick out of his closet. RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act). It is an excellent way to catch and prosecute a whole group of gang members all at once.

Will that help with the Twin Cities growing crime problem? I don't know. Have you heard about our crime statistic for the light rail and bus stations? Crime at our transit stations is up 66% over last year. Let that sink in, for all of you who yearn for yesteryear, when hoards of people worked downtown. Ain't gonna happen. So long as every time you take public transit, you are a "mark" as well as a rider, people are going to take a pass.

Speaking of crime, here is yet another example of our backwards society right now. In NYC, a mentally ill guy was harassing and threatening people on a subway. Keep in mind this man was not angel. He had been arrested 44 times, and then released. Thank you, DA Bragg! Anyhow, he really spun out of control on this subway, so much so, that a young Marine (not on active duty), restrained him by putting him in a choke hold. Why? His training kicked in. He was trying to keep other riders safe. All he wanted to do was subdue this guy, until the cops arrived. Unfortunately, the prep died.

BUT - here was the rub. The perp was black and the Marine was white. That is a toxic brew these days. Remember the Floyd incident? If George Floyd was white and Derrick Chauvin was black, this whole thing would have been a nothing burger. Half of south Minneapolis would not have burned down. Now the AOC crowd wants this Marine charged with murder. Why? He is white, and the prep was black. Welcome to our new world.

Anyhow, we will take our victories and gains where we can get them. Hopefully, this RICO strategy will scare some of these younger lawbreakers straight. But the cancer of crime has grown deep in many big, blue cities. Can we get back to the tranquility of yesteryear? Maybe. But I am not betting the house on it.

A lost cause?

"Hunker down folks. We are now strangers in a strange land. And this land is getting stranger day by day."

I have never bought into the fear mongering, that Minnesota was lost. Minnesota is, like many of us, the place of my birth. The place of my parents birth. The place of my grandparents birth. And the place of my children's birth. But as of late, especially in the past two plus years, I have changed my mind. I want to stay here only because of family. If we had no family living here, we would have been gone yesterday. Even though I did not think Minnesota was lost until recently, it was not worth the fight. You get tired of it. You just get tired of all the BS.

Looking at the state through a political lens, I can handle the range being blue. Hardly anyone lives up there. I can even handle Rochester and St. Cloud being blue. Why they are blue, is beyond me. But when Minneapolis ceded their city to the Muslims, by agreeing to calls of prayer being broadcast five times a day, that is when I knew the state was lost. Why? Minneapolis has turned itself into a mecca for more Muslims. And they all vote blue. They never assimilate, and they always vote blue. For this reason alone, Republicans will NEVER will another statewide race in Minnesota.

And this legislative session, seeing what the crazies have managed to vote into law, is jaw dropping. Every goofy and socialist idea has been crafted into a bill, and then signed by our commie governor. Did the normals want this kind of goulash and garp in bills which became laws? Absolutely not! But right now, the metro area rules the day. And the normals are becoming fewer and fewer.

Here is another example of the crapola in St. Paul. Now the crazies want over $100M to help fix the mess the crazies made in Floyd aftermath in 2020. Democrats broke it, now Democrats want the normals to pay to fix it. In what world does this make sense? Not in my world.

What is the future for Minneapolis? Look west to San Francisco. They have allowed the crazies to ruin the city. Now many of the large stores are shuttering up and leaving. Many of the people are leaving, and moving to Texas. Same in New York city. The exodus continues. Many New Yorkers have moved to Florida. And if you count the numbers, more and more normals are leaving the Twin Cities. Only to be replaced by Muslims who like the new Minneapolis. Kind of like being at home for them.

Minnesota is lost folks. First time you have heard me said it that plainly. Next election in 2024, I expect this state to stay blue, and maybe get even bluer. For the crazies, I say this - well played. You have cowed scores of apathetic voters, who simply don't give a damn. Who are lost in themselves so much, they are like frogs in slowly boiling water. By the time the water is too hot and boiling, it will be too late. What I am saying is this - the water in Minnesota is already too hot.

Hunker down folks. We are now strangers in a strange land. And this land is getting stranger day by day.

Debt, debt and more debt

"Where are the people in the streets with torches and pitchforks? Where is the anger? The unrest? Nowhere, man. People are just numb to this entire issue."

There is nothing serendipitous about the amount of debt this nation is currently carrying. Nothing good, will this way come. And for some reason, which seems to escape most of us, our government keeps piling it on. How bad is it right now? Here are some grim reminders. According to the US National Debt Clock, we are $31.722 T (and change) in debt. Our unfunded liabilities are $187T (and more change). We have spent (both parties), like our money means nothing. And in many areas of the world, our money does mean very little or nothing. But who cares? Let's spend it like we don't have it!

We somehow, always manage to find ways to throw good money after bad. I heard on the news this morning, that (don't ask me the why and what for on this one), we are giving $500M to Pakistan to teach English to transvestites who live there. Wait - what? Are there a lot of trans people in Pakistan who need to know English? First off, there are only a handful of people in Pakistan who identify as trans. And second - what the heck to they need to know English for? That is not the language of Pakistan! I know - $500M is not a lot of money these days. But this is as stupid as putting shrimp on a treadmill (yes, our debt has paid for that also).

By the way, June 1st is the date we are suppose to exceed our debt ceiling. The bill the Republicans have in the House will raise the debt ceiling. HOWEVER - there must be some claw backs to accompany it. Like, repeal the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. And taking back some monies which where appropriated for Covid and not used. Seems like common sense to me. But Biden is yelping like a puppy caught in a bear trap over giving one red cent back to the Treasury. So, the band plays on.

Tired of talking about our debt? We could wipe it out in a heartbeat. All it would take is each taxpayer to write out a check to the Treasury for $250k, and it would be gone. And those unfunded liabilities? Same thing. Each citizen would write out a check for 560k and that would be gone also. See how easy that was?

A couple more things. Should Biden get his way and forgive student loan debt, that would add $1.7T on to the national debt. And our interest to carry this debt, is now over 500B. What does all this mean? There is a reason the debt always goes up, and never comes down. Nobody, except for a handful of citizens, take our debt seriously. By the time we do, it will be too late.

One last thing. Three years ago next month, I penned an article on our debt. I was alarmed that it was almost $22T. So in three years, our national debt has gone up $10T. Where are the people in the streets with torches and pitchforks? Where is the anger? The unrest? Nowhere, man. People are just numb to this entire issue. And that is how America gave up her greatness.

Callous? Calculating? Or Catatonic?

"I think Representative Comer is getting his ducks in a row so that the Biden crime family will be totally exposed. Most Bidens are grifters and grafters."

"I do not view abortion as a choice and right. I think it is always a tragedy. I think it should be rare and safe. I think we should be focusing on how to limit the number of abortions." Whoa! What right wing nut ball said that? That would be Joe Biden in 2006. It was taken off a video that CNN (another right wing rag) unearthed. Now however, Biden loves abortion! We wants abortion legal up to time of delivery. Way to go, Joe!

Before I get back to my main point, one more piece of valuable history. "My vote against the debt limit increase cannot change the fact that we have incurred this debt already, and no doubt will incur more. It is a statement that I refuse to be associated with the policies which brought us to this point". Thus sayeth Senator Joe Biden in 2006.

Back to children. I have already addressed how Biden has flip-flopped on the unborn. How about the children who have been born? Like Hunter's love child? This poor little girl, who was born out of wedlock, is now the subject of a court case in Arkansas. Seems that this little girl's mother is getting too much money from Hunter. And Hunter has gone to court to have it reduced or ended. Why? DNA be damned, Hunter refuses to accept he is the little girl's father. To make matters worse, Joe Biden, the President of these United States, Mr. Democrat who loves all the children - has renounced her. He does not count her as one of his own grandchildren. What a class act this guy is!

The question remains to be asked - is Joe Biden callous (as demonstrated how he has treated Hunter's daughter), calculating (as demonstrated by how he flip flopped on abortion and the debt ceiling), or catatonic (as demonstrated by how he acts most every day). What do I think about Joe Biden? The same thing I have thought for years. He is a phony. He is more calculating than anything else. Some of that may be his dementia, but most of it is just him.

I think Representative Comer is getting his ducks in a row so that the Biden crime family will be totally exposed. Most are grifters and grafters. I believe enough dirt will come to the surface, that Joe will not be running for re-election. Even though he has already announced, that could go up in smoke before the summer is over.

Some day, we will once again have a President that most will like and admire. Like a Ronald Reagan. Many who disagreed with his policies, still liked the "Gipper". That is what we need in 2024. Someone who can get the job done, that we can still like. Hint: That is not Biden nor Harris. Just saying...

Time to switch

"When you have a Manchurian Candidate as President, you need a strong Senate and House to keep him in check. Right now we have a razor thin lead in the House, and the Democrats have a razor thin lead in the Senate. That is not good enough."

Joe Manchin buddy, you have been played. Lied to, face to face. Joe Biden talked you into voting for the Inflation Reduction Act by using sophism, exaggerations, and pure BS. And you fell for it, like a damsel in distress waiting for a hansom prince to rescue her. So what are you going to do Senator Manchin? Wait until 2024, when the Republican candidate from West Virginia beats the tar out of you? Or switch parties NOW, and save the Union. And as a bonus, if you switched parties, you might even save your job.

And you Senator Sinema, what say you? Your home state of Arizona is being overrun by illegals and drugs. All because of Joe Biden. Now that you are no longer a Democrat and have declared yourself to be an Independent, you are close to making a difference. All you need do now, is caucus with the Republicans instead of the Democrats. Or - if you really wanted to make a difference, go all the way. Become a Republican.

Democrats are an interesting bunch. They are loyal to a tee. They will back a horse, even if the horse is old and lame. Republicans have shown in the past, they will dump their party and swim over to the other side. Not Democrats. Here is a chance to change that. To save the Union. To end the chaos on the border. To stop this insane inflation. To rebuild our military. TO USE OUR OWN FOSSIL FUEL ENERGY AGAIN!

By the way, speaking of fossil fuels, our Strategic Petroleum Reserve is at its lowest level since 1984. And why? Because Biden has been releasing oil for political reasons. And Biden promised us (and the Saudis) that he would refill the reserve. He lied (again). And according to the Institute for Energy Research, Biden sold 950,000 barrels of our oil to China. TO CHINA! Shut the front door! What is going on here?

When you have a Manchurian Candidate as President, you need a strong Senate and House to keep him in check. Right now we have a razor thin lead in the House, and the Democrats have a razor thin lead in the Senate. That is not good enough. We need a Republican Senate, albeit, it will still be razor thin.

It is funny is it not, that the fate of our country rests in the hands of one or two people in the Senate. But it is true. We need help, and need it now. Biden is selling us out. In 10 days, the next big surge of illegals will storm the border. Time is not our friend. Help us Obe Wan Manchin - only you can save us now.
