End of week recap...

"There was more this week, but this will do for now. It will, however, be interesting to see how long our government stays shut down. It will be even more interesting to see if anyone knows or cares."

Wow! What a busy news week this has been! I don't know if much more could be fit into this article. In Joe Biden's America, with his clown car of a cabinet, news stories are just hanging on the branches. In fact, many of them are low fruit. So, I started picking...

Shut Down - This is now a Fait complete. Even though the Democrats are caterwauling for some kind of CR, the hardliner Republicans want none of that. Who knows - maybe this will be the shutdown which changes the trajectory on how our government does business (like, following the Constitution). Or it will be lots of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Biden Crime Family Impeachment Inquiry - cross between a s**t show and a side show so far. The Democrats are far less interested in Biden's misdeeds than they were at the charges they tried to pin on Trump.

RFK Jr. - The rumor mill is running hot and heavy that Bobby Jr. has just about had it with his father's and uncle's party. Media-ite (a highly unreliable source) is reporting that RFK Jr. will run as an independent. If that is true, then take that Joe Biden! You would not even authorize Secret Service protection for Bobby Jr.! Now you will reap what you have sown.

UAW Strike - More Ford and GM plants were struck this week. The UAW does not think enough progress is being made. Thank goodness that Joe Biden told the union to stand strong. And then Donald Trump told the union that most of their jobs will go away due to the switch to EVs. This might end up being a strike for the ages. Well played Union Joe!

DiFi - Rumor has it, her death came just hours after she cast her last ballot. Kind of reminds me of RBG, when she literally worked right up until her last breath. Power is a funny thing. It can be more additive than drugs.

Gas Furnaces - It was reported on the news today, that Biden's very inept Energy Secretary announced yesterday that anyone who has a gas furnace (is there anyone who doesn't?), will need to have it retrofitted to "something else" by 2028. Are these people bat s**t crazy, or what?

FCEV News - This was bound to happen. Toyota is skipping on by the EV canard. The chairman of Toyota thinks the hydrogen cars his company is coming out with, will blow right by the entire EV industry. He thinks the FCEVs will make the EVs look like the pigtail lightbulbs after the LED bulbs came out. This is great news, as this entire EV schtick is a bunch of crap.

There was more this week, but this will do for now. It will, however, be interesting to see how long our government stays shut down. It will be even more interesting to see if anyone knows or cares. We have to hand it to Union Joe - and Obama was right when he said this when Joe was his Veep. Joe can f**k just about anything up. And Joe keeps showing us that statement is true.

"No - It's a Trap!"

"How will this end? Not well, I am afraid, for the Republicans. Will it hurt them in the 2024 election? I sure hope not. But leave it to the Republicans to grasp defeat out of the jaws of victory. Time to wake up folks - time is not your friend."

I watched just a bit of the impeachment inquiry yesterday. It was almost comical. As the House Republicans were presenting evidence, each one of the socialist Democrats had a timer in front of the seat they were occupying. The timer was a countdown to the dreaded "Republican Shutdown". In fact, some of the socialist Democrats used their time not to talk about the impeachment proceedings, but rather to give the gloom and doom horror story of what will happen to our nation should we not have a CR by midnight before October.

As usual, when the Republicans are in power, they muck things up. The socialist Democrats knew the Republicans would screw things up and set a trap for them. That is why every time there is a government shutdown, the Republicans take the blame. They fall into the trap. This time is no exception.

Here is how the Republicans should play the game when they control the House. 95% of their job should be getting the twelve appropriation bills passed out of the House and over to the Senate. This should happen long before the first of October. If the socialist Democrats in the Senate want to stonewall these bills once they receive them, that is on them. If the President vetoes these bills should they clear the Senate, that is on him. But the House controls the purse, and getting these bills out of their chamber is of the utmost importance.

Right now, the Republicans are in the trap. Stuck. The clock is ticking, and there is no way the government will keep from being shut down. And as usual, the Republicans will take the rap. What would I do, if I were the Speaker? I would offer a three-month CR. And after that, should the twelve appropriation bills not be signed into law, shut it down. And let it stay shut down for a long, long time.

But during these three months of living under a CR, NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS. Only the twelve appropriation bills are worked on. Weekends - gone. Religious holidays - gone. Time off for any reason - gone. This is the job, this is the work, get it done.

The Republicans can be so myopic at times, it leaves many of us shaking our heads. This is a terrible time for this inquiry on the Biden Crime Family. That can wait until the new year. To try and kick this off when we are hours away from a government shutdown, which will really hurt the Republican brand, is foolish. STAY AWAY FROM THE DEMOCRATS TRAP!

How will this end? Not well, I am afraid, for the Republicans. Will it hurt them in the 2024 election? I sure hope not. But leave it to the Republicans to grasp defeat out of the jaws of victory. Time to wake up folks - time is not your friend.

Round Two, and who is who?

"Who won the debate last night in my book? Some say Joe Biden won it, as most of the fire was directed inward instead of at the Democrats. DeSantis did much better and looked better than at the first debate. That being said, I thought Nikki Haley really showed her stuff."

Watching the debate last night, I kept thinking about what was missing. There really was no "secret sauce" to keep it interesting. In other words, I really miss Donald Trump during these debates. Let's face it - President Trump is the Alpha Male of the group. After last night, I decided who were the players and who were the want-to-be folks.

First off, it is time to cull the herd. It was good Asa Hutchinson was not there last night. I have no idea why he is running in the first place. I have been impressed with the Governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum. That being said, he is not ready for prime time as yet. He is a clear thinker and would love to see him in a cabinet post such as Energy. But president? Not yet. Maybe not ever.

Chris Chrisie. I do like his sense of humor. His one liner about "Donald Duck" last night was funny, even though few people laughed. Just like in the first debate, when he called Vivek "Chat GPT". Again, not that many laughed, but I did. And I like Vivek. It was just a good line by Christie. However, his only schtick is that he hates Donald Trump. My advice? Bury that hatchet. Christie has NO CHANCE of winning, and therefore should make nice with the guy who does. Why? He would make one heck of an AG serving under Donald Trump.

I hate to say it, but the other two folks who need to call it a day are Tim Scott and Vivek Ramaswamy. Both good men, but last night showed how ill prepared they are for the position of president. Good cabinet picks, both of them. I love Tim Scott's back story, and never get tired of hearing it. Vivek is sharp as tacks, but sometimes his engine runs too hot for his own good. Like I said, good folk, but it is now time to go.

My choice for the third debate would be Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis. Those are the three who are ready for prime time. It is true that Donald Trump has a mountain of a lead over both Haley and DeSantis - but he also has a mountain of legal trouble which could de-rail him. It is almost interesting to watch how the Deep State is throwing everything at Trump except the kitchen sink to keep him from running. But Donald Trump is like the Energizer Bunny. He just keeps going and going and going.

Who won the debate last night in my book? Some say Joe Biden won it, as most of the fire was directed inward instead of at the Democrats. DeSantis did much better and looked better than at the first debate. That being said, I thought Nikki Haley really showed her stuff. But the upcoming third debate will really tell the tale of the tape. Until then, I am just enjoying the show.

Target: Crime

"What did I think after hearing the news about Target? Good on you Target! And the people in the neighborhoods who will be left wanting? Bad for you people. But just remember this. You are governed by morons and idiots. You voted them in. Learn from this, or it will keep on happening. Remember - you can't fix stupid."

OM Goodness! This was earth shaking news for sure! Target announced yesterday that it was going to shutter nine retail stores in some VERY problem locations. This will happen in October. Target, one of the champions of proliferation, must have a tough time closing locations. BUT - crime is king in the areas it is closing stores. I guess the gang thefts, which are brazen enough to happen in broad daylight, are not a rite of passage. Least wise, not for Target Corporation. Target said, "enough is enough - we are leaving".

Where are these Target stores located? Harlem, Seattle, Portland, and three in San Fransisco. Gosh, does anyone else remember when San Fransisco was a fun place to visit? Where you could feel relatively safe? Now it is a pigsty. A cesspool. Many nice stores have already pulled out of San Fransisco. I suppose it was only a matter of time before Target Stores also had enough.

On a closer to home note, it was also reported that another large retailer in Brooklyn Park was closing. A Superstore Walmart. That one hurts, as it services quite a large swath of people. But - even though it was not directly mentioned - it is crime once again. It was reported that the Walmart store is located in a "large center of crime". That is where the reader only had to fill in the blanks. Walmart, like Target is a proliferator of stores. They much prefer to open up stores which will be high performing, then to close down stores which are not.

Back to San Fransisco. What is the future for this "City by the Bay"? Will all the stores eventually leave, making San Fransisco a large retail desert? Or will the population finally wake up, kick London Breed out of office, and elect some folks who believe in law-and-order governance.

Some say this is still the "George Floyd" effect. We are entitled to rob stores and take what we want. We are "owed". Ladies and gentlemen, we need to wake up to a very important fact of life. Stores don't have to stay in a poor location. People don't have to live in a dangerous neighborhood (that is, it they have the means to leave). Money does not have to stay in an area where the ROI is low, zero, or negative. There simply are no laws which mandate where you can live, and where your business can operate.

What did I think after hearing the news about Target? Good on you Target! And the people in the neighborhoods who will be left wanting? Bad for you people. But just remember this. You are governed by morons and idiots. You voted them in. Learn from this, or it will keep on happening. Remember - you can't fix stupid.

Shut. It. Down?

"Starting Sunday, the government will shut down. Granny will be thrown off a cliff, babies will starve, and vets and seniors will not get their checks. Or - nothing will happen, expect tens of thousands of government workers will need to stay home. Will we survive as a nation? Sure will. We always do. And the beat goes on."

Woe is me. WOE IS ME! The government is headed headlong into a partial shutdown. And what will happen? The sun will disappear from the sky. Cats will mate with dogs. There will be a wailing and gnashing of teeth which will be heard worldwide. Or --- nothing. That is right - I, like the rest of us, have seen this movie before. It is called "What if they shut down the government and nobody noticed?"

Is this any way to run a railroad (or a government)? Of course not. I just wish there was some kind of recipe we could follow to keep this from happening. There is? Where? Article One of the Constitution? Glory be! Then why don't we follow it? Because we have gotten lazy and inept. We would rather "kick the can down the street" using the continuing resolution (CR) method. That would be the method which is NOT in the Constitution.

These twelve appropriation bills are supposed to be funded BY CONGRESS, no later than October 1st. If not, the government shuts down (partially). Then why is this so hard, that year after year, this stork dance continues. Simple - some in Congress want to only spend what we have. And those dollars need to be enshrined in appropriation funding. BUT (and this is a big BUT) - many on the left want the numbers bumped. Using a CR will bump them automatically.

The Freedom Caucus amongst others, seems to have an overabundance of "extreme MAGA Republicans" on board. That is what President Biden calls them. Others on my side of the street, call them Constitutionalists. They want to pass the budget using the Constitution as a guide. For that, they are being excoriated by the media as well as the left. What does Biden want? Just pass a CR and shut up!

Will the Republicans get blamed if the government shuts down? Absolutely! Why, if the Republicans follow the Constitution? Because (and I hate to say this), many people in this country are intellectually lazy. They believe all the hyperbole coming out of the lap dog media. With a normal population, the Constitution following Republicans would be cheered. In our current society however, they are jeered.

Starting Sunday, the government will shut down. Granny will be thrown off a cliff, babies will starve, and vets and seniors will not get their checks. Or - nothing will happen, expect tens of thousands of government workers will need to stay home. Will we survive as a nation? Sure will. We always do. And the beat goes on.

Joe's Performance Report

"If Joe worked for a normal company instead of the welfare system known as the US Government, he would be told to go packing. His performance since taking office has been abysmal. He is worse than a failure. But who cares? If he leaves, we have something worse, just waiting in the wings."

How are things going in the land of Biden? Frayed at best. Poor old Joe just keeps slipping further down in the polls. All the yelling, screaming and castigating on the campaign trail does not seem to be helping him. A very recent ABC/WAPO poll showed our 80-year-old president behind his nemesis, Donald Trump, by 9 or 10 points.

Joe Biden does not seem to understand this. How in the world can his poll numbers be slipping when he keeps telling the American people that his "Bidenomics" are working? I guess I will answer that one. Because they are not working, and the American people are not as stupid as Joe is. They see what has been happening to their paychecks every week. They see the reduced buying power they have at the grocery store. They see the price of gas. And they see the non-stop (and growing) invasion of illegals at our southern border.

And this climate change BS. Even the UAW is wise to this charade. Make EVs instead of IC cars, and the amount of union touch labor required goes down by 30%. How do we sum this up? EV cars are not wanted by the American people, and the UAW does not want to build them. Plus, we don't have the infrastructure to support them. But don't worry - for the first time in forever, and American president will march with UAW workers on the picket line. What will that do to solve this very expensive and crippling strike? Nada.

What else is going on? Hunter is under indictment. Joe's first impeachment inquiry starts this week. The government is about to shut down. The war in Ukraine wages on, with the US continuing to send billions of tax dollars to support it. And the re-payment of student loans is set to start up again next week. How are things in Biden's America? Please don't ask.

What does Joe have going for him in the next election? The Democrat Party is loaded with lemmings. They will vote for whomever is on the ticket, so long as it is blue. The Democrat Party, which has a sordid history in race relations in this country, somehow has cowed the black vote to be overwhelmingly for club blue. Does that make any sense? Nope. But the Hispanic voters are starting to wise up. More and more are voting for the red ticket. One reason? Illegal immigration. Another reason? Family values.

If Joe worked for a normal company instead of the welfare system known as the US Government, he would be told to go packing. His performance since taking office has been abysmal. He is worse than a failure. But who cares? If he leaves, we have something worse, just waiting in the wings.

Is life just footprints in the sand?

"Footprints in the sand will last only until the next wave comes in. However, sometimes our impact on others will last for an eternity. This our gift. This is our opportunity. This is our purpose."

Bruce sat at his deck staring out the window. It was Thursday. Tomorrow will be Friday. He could remember when that meant something. Like, the start of the weekend. The start of something fun. But now his weeks had devolved into nothing more than wash, rinse, repeat. Saturday would come, and maybe he could catch a couple more winks of sleep. Then it was up and doing all his yard chores which accumulated during the week. Sunday morning, he would get up, pay bills and do other paperwork. Maybe a football game on Sunday afternoon, then it was time to get ready to start work on Monday morning. Wash, rinse repeat. Week after week. Month after month. Then if his health held out, he could make it to retirement. And then what?

Then one day it hit Bruce. His life had no meaning. He was stuck on this rock, going around the sun once a year, doing the same thing over and over and over again. You live, you die, and then what? Does your soul drift around the cosmos forever? Do you go to some kind of afterlife? Are we reincarnated, so we can do this all over again? Bruce had more questions than answers.

One day at the office, Bruce was getting a cup of coffee and ran into Alan, who worked in the next department. He was not friends with Alan, but they were friendly. Alan asked how things were going. Bruce lied, as he said "Fine, just fine". But then something came blurting out of Bruce's mouth. "I guess it is not going just fine Alan. I am burnt out. Lost and confused. I am starting to wonder if my life has any meaning or purpose. I mean, is this all there is?"

Alan looked at Bruce as he was talking. When Bruce was done, Alan thought had about what to say and how to say it. You see, Alan is a believer, and follower of Christ. He knows what his purpose is. He knows that God has a purpose of each and every one of us. Alan then asked Bruce a question - "Bruce do you mind if I asked you when the last time was you went to a church?" Bruce looked at Alan and said, "It has been quite a while. I think I was still married to Kathy when I went. After we divorced, I lost all interest."

Alan thought for a minute, and then responded to Bruce. "I have a book I read years ago Bruce, which I would like to give to you. It is called A Purpose Driven Life, by a pastor named Rick Warren. It did wonders for me. I know where you are at right now. Why? I have been there. But after reading Pastor Warren's book, things started to make sense to me. It changed me. I started to read the Bible. I prayed for the first time in years. I found a Bible based church that I wanted to go to, not that I had to go to. And then, for the first time in my life, I asked Christ to come into my life."

This story is fiction, but it is similar to many true situations I have seen in my lifetime. I have read A Purpose Driven Life, but that is not the only way to see God's purpose in our lives. Each of us, has purpose. God created us to make a difference. Not just be footprints in the sand, but to make some kind of impact on others.

Footprints in the sand will last only until the next wave comes in. However, sometimes our impact on others will last for an eternity. This our gift. This is our opportunity. This is our purpose.

New from "Club Blue"

"One would think he would have learned, but not Bob. He did it again with some Egyptians. He took money, gold and luxury cars in exchange for favors. Wow! Is he related to Hunter?"

What in the world is going on with the Democrats as of late? I have a few developments to point out. Sorry if some of this might sound a bit negative - I am only reporting the news as I have seen it or read it. Those reading this who are Yellow Dog Democrats or RINOs, might want to take some of this on board.

Baltimore - The school scores for 2023 are now available in the once fine city of Baltimore. This is a city who has a Democrat Mayor, in a Democrat State, situated in a country with a Democrat President. The head of the Baltimore School District is a Democrat making $400,000/year, and has 10 directors reporting to him, each making $200,000/year. The school system is awash with money and spends copious amounts of time of CRT and sexual issues with the students.

Oh - I almost forgot. How are the test scores in Baltimore? Out of 40 schools tested, NOT ONE student tested at grade level. But they have learned that "white man bad" and the difference between vaginal sex and anal sex.

Bob Menendez and his Wife - Oh, ouch! This one is going to leave a mark! If this story sounds familiar to you, it should as it was played out almost the same way a few years back. It seems that the good Senator from New Jersey (and his wife), got caught with "his hands in the till". Almost the same charge as few years back. However then, good old Bob got a hung jury and skated. One would think he would have learned, but not Bob. He did it again with some Egyptians. He took money, gold and luxury cars in exchange for favors. Wow! Is he related to Hunter? Just asking. Anyhow, Bob and his wife have a 30+ page indictment against them, and Bob WILL NOT skate on this one. Bye, bye Bob. You will look good in orange.

Dallas - GASP! You have got to be kidding me! The mayor of this very large blue city breaking ranks with Club Blue? Eric Johnson, who was recently elected to a four-year term as mayor of Dallas, has had it with the Democrat Party. His major issues with the Dems? Homelessness and urban crime. His words - "Republicans need major cities, and major cities need Republicans". With those words, he switched from blue to red. The Democrat Party is furious with him right now. How in the world could a black Democrat be a turn coat and become a Republican? Joe Biden himself said, if you are black, you need to vote Democrat. Oh well...

Joe Biden - As his country implodes, with illegals running amok, what is old Joe doing? He is going to march on the picket lines with the UAW. You know, Union Joe. But here is the irony. If not for the Biden inflation, the union might not be this desperate for a big settlement. What the union should be doing is picketing our government as well as the Big Three auto companies. Just saying...

10,000 a day? Are you kidding me?

"Here is the real question: If we continue to get 10,000 illegals crossing the border every day, where will they go? What will they eat? What will they do for money?"

Yesterday, my wife and I needed to make the sojourn over to Sam's Club to get some gas and needed provisions. On the way home, we saw something which we have been seeing more and more lately. The proliferation of this event has been surprising as well as disappointing. On just about every meridian in every intersection we passed, was some person begging for food. They all had the same kind of signs they were holding up. "Please help. Hungry and pregnant. I have four kids and no food." My suspicious mind askes, why are all of these gals pregnant with the same number of kids waiting to be fed? But I digress.

Why are all of these people showing up this year? My guess? None of them look like they are from these parts. We have hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of illegal aliens who have been sneaking over our southern border. And now the flood gates have really opened up. We have 10,000 a day coming over our former southern border (I say former, as there is no border anymore).

Don't get me wrong. Street beggars are not new in this neck of the woods. When my wife and I worked with the Anoka County homeless, we were trained on how to handle the street beggars. Never give them money. Give them a clean pair of socks, and some bottled water, and instructions on how to get to the closest shelter. Again (and we heard this in spades) - NO MONEY.

Some were in need of food; others were in need of some change to buy a 5th of whiskey with. I remember one day, a young man (who looked healthy), was begging right outside a Burger King. There was a huge sign hanging on the Burger King window which said, "Now hiring - $15/hour". The question needs to be asked - why not go across the street to Burger King, fill out and app, and start working? The answer to that question would have been interesting, for sure.

Here is the real question: If we continue to get 10,000 illegals crossing the border every day, where will they go? What will they eat? What will they do for money? This is a witch's brew about ready to overflow the cauldron. Our society is not built this way. Soon, desperate people will take desperate actions. Either on one side or the other.

Just remember, when our society starts to collapse down on us, who the man was behind the curtain. That would be Joeseph R. Biden. He took an immigration system which was working "okay" and turned it into a mob of unidentified people, coming in waves from all directions. Well played Joe! Now that you have totally effed up the country, go back to Delaware and take a nap.

No way home....

"Why do we have no way home? There is no home anymore. What was once a wonderful homeland, is now a dysfunctional mess."

What is going on in the world today? First off, our national debt just went over $33T. Why? For some reason, we are spending money at the same clip we were doing Covid. Why is that? Is something special or important up? Not really, except politics. How much should we be spending? Not this much. Then what should we do? Shut down the government? Do another CR? And set up our next budget limit to be $35T? What the heck - it is only paper money.

Money we should be spending on taking care of our border security, we are not. Money we should be spending on building a defense which could rival the Chinese, we are not. We could be investing to allow our God given fossil fuel resources be the best and cleanest in the world. To supply us and our friends. But we are not. What then are we spending money on? This canard called "climate emergency". We are spending ourselves poor, while our advisories spend money like drunken sailors, using reliable old fuel sources.

We also found out again yesterday, just how divided our country is. When our ill-equipped Attorney General was on the Hill in front of Congress, it was a clown show. Each Democrat treated this misfit as if he were royalty or of a divine nature. Each Republican treated him as if he did not have control of the facts, nor of his empire. What do most normal American patriots think right now? After this clown show? Biden is dirty. Mayorkas is dirty. Garland is dirty. Harris, Buttigieg, and Grandholm are morons. Need I continue, or do you get the picture?

Why do I say there is no way home? This UAW strike could be a game changer. No matter how it turns out, it will add to our sky-high inflation. If the Republicans cave on the budget talks and agree to a continuing resolution that too, will add to inflation. How do I know this? Because Republicans always cave. Why? They don't want to be called bad names by the media.

And the nexus of Hunter and Joe Biden? Can we please get the goods on this crime family? Remember OJ? Guilty as sin. But - had the dream team for lawyers, so he got off. Hunter has Abby Lowe, one of the best in the business. Look for Hunter to skate also. As guilty as the Bidens are, we don't have the stones to convict them.

Here we are, in the land of nowhere-Ville. Lost, dazed and confused. What has happened to our great country? We are spending ourselves into what could be a hyper-inflation. Crime is everywhere - name the city, it is there. To make matters worse, crime is also in DC. It had made our government corrupt. Why do we have no way home? There is no home anymore. What was once a wonderful homeland, is now a dysfunctional mess.

The $33T Jackpot!

"What we see today, is the results of too many people riding in a wagon that too few people are pulling. This is what makes a great nation, a poor nation."

It just seems like yesterday, when our national debt was approaching $20T. Everybody thought that might be the end of the rainbow. Or at least, the end of the American dream. Why? It was unsustainable. Carrying that much debt was not healthy for a growing economy. But we zipped right past the $20T debt mark, and then headed for $25T. And then for $30T. And now we are looking at making $35T in a year or so. Does it matter? Many think not.

One more word on the $20T mark. It only took us seven years to spend an additional $13T of money we don't have. At the current rate of spending, our national debt could be $50T by the end of the decade.

There is an old saying that our national budget should be similar to family budgets which are hammered out on the kitchen table. Really? If that were the case, I would have spent every penny I have saved, borrowed as much as I could from the bank, and maxed out my credit cards. The trajectory on that kind of budget would be very short indeed. Most families would crash and burn in just a few months.

Not to castigate Democrats, but I will. I know, I know. Both parties have been equal opportunity spenders. But the Democrats are all in for the Biden nonsense, in what this old man has done to our country. Spent money on crap, and important things left undone. In fact, after Joe Biden came into office, he jacked up spending so much, that inflation came out of hiding for the first time in years. And as most of us know, when inflation rears its ugly head, the Fed will soon counter with higher interest rates.

We have become junkies to the sloppy process of continuing resolution budgeting. It is a horrible and lazy way of doing the nation's business. The Democrat panic merchants have already been heard caterwauling in the distance. "If the government shuts down, our defense department will shut down. Seniors will not get their social security checks. Vets will not get their VA payments." Blah, blah blah. It is all BS. I like Vivek's idea the best. Fire about 75% of the people who "work" for the government. That will square some budgeting circles.

Welcome to Neverland. The land where our bills never get paid. But as the Democrats say, "if we just all paid our fair share, things would be fine". One minor problem with that statement. There is not enough tea in China to zero out our national debt.

Forget about the 33 with all those zeros behind it just for a minute. What we see today, is the result of too many people riding in a wagon that too few people are pulling. This is what makes a great nation, a poor nation. Now we can think about the 33 with all those zeros behind it.

The hard bigotry of no expectations

"This issue needs to be front and center in the next election. As an American, I am ashamed of what has happened to our cities."

No, no, no Bird! You got it all wrong! It is supposed to read, "The soft bigotry of low expectations." Like in the way we allow (through social promotions) minority kids to progress in school, even when they have not learned the subject which is taught. I understand. But I am taking that fine expression further on down the road. How so? Keep reading.

Every morning on the news, there is at least one story about some heinous crime that feral youth have committed. This morning, there was a story about a beat down and robbery of a middle-aged lady by a bunch of young toughs. Why? They were robbing her store and decided to beat the owner up - just for the hell of it.  These were kids, of high school age (or younger). Hello, parents? Where are thou?

Then there was a story about a retired cop who was out for a bike ride. A couple of feral youth decided it would be cool to drive their car up behind the bike and hit that man. They did, and it killed him. As they were driving away, you could hear both of these morons laughing. One has been caught and charged with murder (17 years old), and the other is being sought.

There were more this morning, but that is all I will showcase. I think most get the idea. Somebody on the news brought up a very good point. We are losing our youth. They have gone from feral to total predators. They are fearless and reckless. Most will end up either in juvenal court, or they will be charged as adults and end up doing some very hard time. But where are the parents? The structure in their young lives? The church? Anything? Nope. They are set free on society with no, none, zero norms. No sense of right or wrong.

The parents won't raise them, and when caught, the Soros backed DAs will not charge them. They will become repeat offenders, and their treachery will go from bad to worse. Their future? Die young or end up behind bars. Some life that is. Oh, and on the way to hell, many will probably become a baby daddy to some young girl. And then you have wash, spin, repeat.

What is life like today in our cities? Bad and dangerous. But it is not just in our cities anymore. This infestation of brutal crime is leaching out into the suburbs. Last month a mother and son were followed home to an affluent suburb by some toughs. They roughed her and her son up and stole her car. In broad daylight. In a nice suburb.

This issue needs to be front and center in the next election. As an American, I am ashamed of what has happened to our cities. People visiting here from other countries are warned not to go out after dark in our cities. Not safe. And when will our cities once again become safe? When we the people take them back. And we do that in the voting booth.

Only the lonely...

"I side with the UAW, as the large auto companies should have told the government to 'stuff it', when the government told the auto makers to make stuff we don't want."

How is the strike coming? You know, the one against the big three auto companies? It is in its fourth day now, and the picket lines are looking more like a circus than a strike. How so? Just about every Democrat is out there expressing support for the strikers. This picture has been painted by the Democrats. Auto industry greedy and bad; strikers good. And this Mary Barra at GM? With the money she is making right now, it is just plain criminal (according to the UAW).

I worked at a factory which had IBEW has their collective bargaining union. And as luck would have it, in the five years I was there, they had a strike. Every day, driving through the gate to get to work, you did not know if you were going to get egged or let in unscathed. Was it an interesting experience? Yes, I learned quite a bit. Was it fun? Not a bit. In fact, some days very unsettling. When the strike was finally over, it took a long, long time for e pluribus unum to return to the shire.

Later in my career, I worked for another factory which had UAW as their bargaining unit. Even though they did not strike when I was there, a dichotomy existed. Us office folks were referred to as "suits" by the union folks and were generally not very welcomed out on the floor. Friendships with union folks were not impossible but were also not common.

Now I am going to take a sharp turn. There are many reasons I am siding with the union on this strike. Not their outlandish demands. Those come straight out of the land of "never happen". But I think what they really want can be summed up in the following: They want to make stuff in America, by Americans, for Americans, that Americans want, in return for a fair salary and fair benefits.

But here is the rub - many don't want to make EVs for two reasons. First, the labor content on an EV is less than on a non-EV car or truck. And second, most Americans do not want, nor can afford an EV. What does the UAW really want then? For the most part, they want to keep making internal combustion cars and trucks.

Wait - why in the world would car makers decide to make such a high percentage of EVs if the American public does not want them, and cannot afford them? Simple - they were strong-armed and lied to by the government. Specifically, the Biden government. By now, the landscape was going to bristle with high-speed chargers with very affordable charging rates. None of that turned out to be true. If you buy an EV today (if you can afford it), be prepared to stick close to home. Or else, you could be stuck someplace, out of juice and out of luck.

Will EVs have a future in our economy? Maybe - or maybe they will go the same way as the "pig tail" light bulb. The "pig tail" was going to be the next best thing - until the led bulb came out. I think when the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (HFCV) has a "go to market" price and availability, it will send the EV the way of the Edsell (or the Dodo Bird). Until the HFCV becomes viable, most of us normal folk want to stick with the internal combustion vehicles, thank you.

Here is the bottom line. Our auto industry is a mess right now. Thanks in large part to our "woke" idiots in our government. Period. The UAW is caught right in the middle. I side with the UAW, as the large auto companies should have told the government to "stuff it", when the government told the auto makers to make stuff we don't want. And that - is the end of the story.

No place to go

"Some are clamoring for Gavin to jump in the ring. Young, good looking, articulate, and - not fit for the job. Gavin Newsom could have the opportunity to hose up this country the same way he hosed up California."

We are halfway through September now, and guess what? The Democrats have found themselves in a real pickle. Not my words - the words of many of the blue faithful. Why? Sleepy Old Joe. He is past his prime. Actually, he was past his prime when he was running in 2022. But the wise choice for the DNC to pass him by, was eclipsed by the DNC's burning hatred for Donald Trump. Maybe, just maybe, the DNC could push old Joe over the finish line. And then the mission of destroying Donald Trump could be continued and maybe finished.

But just halfway into his first term, this is what most everyone has noticed. Joe has no gas left in his tank. He is not playing with a full deck. He does not know a Dit from a DUH. And he spends more and more time in fantasy land. Talking about things he has never done, and places he has never visited. In other words, Joe Biden has checked out, and the Democrats have nary a soul to run for President on the blue ticket in 2024.

But, but - what about RFK Jr? RFK Jr, the son of the famous Robert Kennedy. The nephew of our last great Democrat President, John F. Kennedy. It seems that quite a few folks on both sides of the aisle like him. However, not the DNC power brokers. They (for some reason), hate him. They won't even listen to him. Won't give him any time. I think I know the reason. He is way, way too old-style Democrat for this new socialist mutation of the Democrat Party. This new socialist Democrat party likes people like AOE and the Squad. But Kennedy? The DNC thinks he belongs in the dustbin of history, with his dad and uncle.

How about Harris then? She would be good except for one thing. There is not one beating heart on the left who thinks Harris could win. Plus, she drives everyone crazy with her constant word salad. No, this "woman of color" is toast after this term is up. There are reasons why she washed out so early in the run-up to the 2022 election. Then why did Joe pick her? Simple - that "woman of color" thing.

Some are clamoring for Gavin to jump in the ring. Young, good looking, articulate, and - not fit for the job. Gavin Newsom could have the opportunity to hose up this country the same way he hosed up California. But for the Independents, Gavin has two problems. First, he still reeks of PC BS. Most are fed up with that schtick by now. Second, he is forever tarred by his French Laundry stunt. He will never live that one down. No - it is too late for Gavin Newsom. And he would need too much repair on his history to make him acceptable enough to win.

By the way, some recent polls have Trump ahead of the rest of the pack by 50 points now. 50 points! That is an insurmountable lead! What can the Democrats and Deep State do to slow down this steam roller called Trump? Maybe indict him again on another charge. No - that will not work. One more indictment, and his lead will be 60 points over the rest of the pack. MAGA!

Choosing sides

"Our defense budget right now needs to be our highest priority. We need to strip out all the BS crap and get back to training warriors. When the dark times come, and they will come, we need to be ready. What is at stake? Everything."

One might think from the title of this post is about politics. Not a bit. Not this time. No, this is about something much bigger. It is about how the world is being divided up into (as some put it), the "good guys' and the "bad guys". Of course, at the center of the "good guys" is the United States. The United States, who is the titular head of NATO, has helped craft an expanded alliance of freedom fighters. With the addition of Finland and hopefully Sweden before too long, NATO has become very robust. And who besides the United States is the anchor of this modern-day NATO?

Poland and Germany are the cornerstones of NATO in Europe. Poland has been all in for a while, and Germany has had a recent renaissance on military spending. Germany, who for years after World War II had lost its appetite for war, has been awakened by the sleeping giant of Russia invading Ukraine. They have gone from tepid spending, to spending money on defense like there is no tomorrow. Putting Germany's new military next to Poland's military makes a formidable ally. Throw the Nordic countries into the mix, and all of a sudden, NATO looks very "bad ass".

But wait - what about the other side of the globe? The one where the up-and-coming nemesis called China, resides? The United States has been busy over there also, shoring up the "good guys" ranks. We not only have Japan (who also has broken out of the post-World War II peace slumber), but also Taiwan, Australia, South Korea, and the Philippine Islands. All of a sudden, the United States does not need to be the only sheriff in town in that part of the globe. Other freedom loving countries have joined the team.

But what about India? That would be a great add. India right now is trying to get along with all sides. But I think a time is coming where they will have to choose. China is not their friend. The sooner they realize that the better. The same goes for Viet Nam. Israel and the Saudis also need to join the right team. We need a vast expanse of "good guy" nations worldwide, that the new evil empire of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea would not DARE to attack. It would be one bunch, all bunch. You attack one, you attack all.

If anyone thinks this is just histrionics and hyperbole, it is not. Just like leading up to World War II, the world is dividing into armed camps. The difference is many of us remember our history. We will not be lulled into a false sense of peace when the war drums are beating. The free world does not need any more Neville Chamberlains. As Reagan said, we need peace through strength. Period.

Our defense budget right now needs to be our highest priority. We need to strip out all the BS crap and get back to training warriors. When the dark times come, and they will come, we need to be ready. What is at stake? Everything.

The auto strike issue...

"Buckle up on this one folks. The companies and the union are miles apart. Will this go on as long as the actors and writers strike? Maybe."

Okay. For the first time in forever, the UAW has struck the big three auto makers at the same time. Well, not all of them - only some selected plants. That being said, about 13,000 UAW members walked off their jobs at midnight last night. Some might say, "That will teach them! Let them starve next week!" Here is the truth on that issue - if every member of the UAW walked off their jobs, their strike fund would last 13 weeks. That is about three months of getting paid for doing nothing. And if every member walked off their jobs for three months, that might be the end of the big three auto makers. And would put a dent in our economy the size of Detroit.

Wait - what? How can this be? First off, the Hollyweird writers and actors are still on strike. As it is now, we will all be watching reruns of Ozzie and Harriet this season. And now the auto workers? How can this be, when we have the "most pro union President in history" sitting in the White House? Where did I hear that? From Biden. Just like he is the "most religious President in history". I got that from the same source.

If the truth be told, the labor content of building a car keeps shrinking. Currently, it is 10-15% of the total cost of a car. The union wants between an increase of 35 to 45% in pay over the next four years. Plus, 32-hour work weeks, and getting paid at a 40-hour week pay scale.

If you have a $60,000 car, and $6,000 of it is labor costs, that means the total cost of the car would go up another $3,000 or so. Put that in your inflation pipe and smoke it. Those retired folks on fixed income who need a new car, will take it in the shorts - again.

Where does this leave us? In Nowhere Ville. The main spokesman for the union also made it clear the union does not want a bunch of "off shoring" for these new, flammable EV units. They do not want China and Mexico in the mix. As far as the UAW is concerned, built in America, by union Americans is their vision. Period. How is that going to work, with this globalist administration? Could "Union Joe" be on the cusp of losing the union vote? Just like "Joe Six Pack" is now on "Team Trump" instead of following Biden.

Buckle up on this one folk. The companies and the union are miles apart. Will this go on as long as the actors and writers strike? Maybe. But this is just one more thing on the nation's plate right now. We have impeachments and impeachment inquiries, we have indictments, we have inflation, we have rising gas prices, and yada, yada, yada.

Welcome to Biden's America. Never a dull moment. Never.

Hunter, hunted, again!

"Is Hunter being hunter again? Yes, and it is about time. The statute of limitations was about to expire on the gun charges. Now they won't. The long arms of the TRUE Lady Justice have reached out and grabbed Hunter Biden. Maybe, just maybe, she can get his dad also."

What a week for the President! First, even his own party is turning against him on running again. Seems like his frailty and confusion has gone just about far enough with the party faithful. Then the Speaker said he was going to start an impeachment inquiry (not an impeachment) on poor old Joe. Why? The Republicans feel this is the only way they can get to the truth on the Biden Crime Family.

Then inflation raised its ugly head again. And gas prices are still high. Plus, the UAW might go on strike against the auto makers at midnight tonight. Whew! What else could go wrong? Oh, yes. Hunter has been indicted on three federal gun charges. This is enough to make Joe want to go on vacation and take a nap - again.

How is all of this going to work out for old Joe? Time will tell. Will he pardon Hunter, even though his dysfunctional press secretary said he never would? Is he going to resign in disgrace? Or is he going to ignore it, and keep telling us that Biden-omics is saving our bacon?

What did Chairman Commer have to say about this breaking news today? Not much. Well, a little bit. He is not concerned about the three-gun charges, as they are not what his committee is looking at. His committee is looking at the nexus of Hunter and Joe together, and how influence peddling could have come into the picture. With the impeachment inquiry looming, chops are starting to water on Commer's committee. Hunter is tainted meat, and so is his dad. Most everyone knows it, except the brainwashed on the left.

If only 1 percent of what is suspected happened with the Chi Coms or the corrupt Ukrainians happened with the Bidens, I say lock them both up (in the same cell) and throw away the key. But right now, there is blood in the water. Hunter may have the slickest lawyer in DC, but that will not save him this time.

Is Hunter being hunter again? Yes, and it is about time. The statute of limitations was about to expire on the gun charges. Now they won't. The long arms of the TRUE Lady Justice have reached out and grabbed Hunter Biden. Maybe, just maybe, she can get his dad also.

A bigger grid? Better hurry!

"One final side note. Our energy in this state has become so expensive, it is causing household incomes in Minnesota to continue to decline. More and more families are in need. The paper also had a good article about that issue this morning in the paper."

Did you know that in just over 16 years, this messed up state of Minnesota has committed to be 100% carbon free and renewable in its energy? Yep, in 2040 is when the ship will hit the sand. Somebody penned a fairly good article today in the local "fish wrap" concerning this issue. He said, there is no way this will happen with our current grid. Like, DUH! Our electric grid is old, dumb (not smart), and frail. We need a whole new grid, or all you "fish" buying EVs which need to be charged on a regular basis, are going to be up a creek without so much as a paddle.

With all the money we spend on dumb and wasteful projects in this state, our grid stands out like a red flashing warning sign. We are one EMP, natural or otherwise, event away from total disaster. Many scientists have been warning about this for years. We need a smart, robust grid, with built in redundancies. We need a grid which is scalable - which can grow as our electricity needs grow. Right now, we have squat. Even though we have been warned, hucksters like Taxing Timmy are trying to get us to look at the shiny penny (EVs) instead. The problem is, until we fix our grid, that shiny penny will start to look very tarnished.

Electricity is something most of us take for granted. This state is very proud of the fact that in 2022, we generated about 1/3 of our energy from renewable sources. And it was expensive. Until we wise up, and either use our existing fossil fuels or nuclear to augment our energy supply, we will be running a fool's errand. We will literally be playing with fire. The output our grid will supply in 2040, compared to the input required by our greenie fantasy in 2040, do not match. Not even close.

What was the point of this article in the paper today? Time to act like thinking adults instead of little kids, being infatuated with loud and colorful gizmos. There is nothing cool and sexy about a stout grid. Done correctly, it will not even be noticeable. In fact, the only time a grid is noticeable today, is when it fails. A smart, robust grid will exist in the background, doing only one thing - performing.

One final side note. Our energy in this state has become so expensive, it is causing household incomes in Minnesota to continue to decline. More and more families are in need. The paper also had a good article about that issue this morning in the paper.

What is the bottom line? We are an expensive state, going headlong into a crash with reality. This state has been mismanaged by Walz, Dayton and (I hate to say it) - Pawlenty. With Democrats in power being as common as wasps swarming by trash bins in August, this state is running like a car with two flat tires.

Soon the chickens will come home to roost. Will Minnesota be ready with all these disjointed priorities? Not a chance, unless we get the adults back in charge. And that could happen as early as November 2024. Or not.

Taken to the cleaners - again!

"I asked my wife on the way home today, how in the world can Democrats CONSTANTLY be on the wrong side of every issue? And not by a little bit - by a lotta bit! But remember folks, it is not the nimrods who get elected which are the problem. It is the millions of blue pill air heads who keep electing them."

Welcome to Biden's America. It is a land of groupthink, where if the sky were cloudy, rainy and cool, Biden's handlers would tell you the sun was out, and the high today will be 72 degrees - nationwide! But as Biden's groupthink continues to try and win converts, we are being taken to the cleaners. For most patriots, we are not fooled. The snake oil is not working. Not even close.

On 9/11, after Biden had get pulled off the stage in Viet Nam for mumbling, in the dark of night, Blinken made a deal with the devil. We are going to trade five known and convicted terrorists or spies from Iran, for five naive Americans who willing went to Iran for reasons unknown to most of us. And - to sweeten the pot, we are going to release six billion dollars of frozen money to the Mullahs.

But wait - John Kirby promised us that this money would only be used for humanitarian purposes by Iran. Of course, when the head Mullah was asked by NBC of this were true, the Iranian set the record straight. "That is our money, and we will do with it what we want." In other words, money is fungible. Most of us know that - that is, everyone except Sleepy Joe. So, just the like terrorist from Russia we exchanged for the female basketball player, we got hosed again. I thought Obama had horse poop negotiators. Biden's are even worse.

On another fine note, inflation is up again. Not just gas and food - other commodities as well. But who cares? Biden is going to give a stump speech (yelling, muttering and whispering), about how GREAT Bidenomics is. Really Joe? Is that why you are giving this speech in the blue confines of Maryland? Because the Yellow Dogs in that state are so cowed by your BS that they will love it?

This afternoon (you are going to love this), Governor Kemp of Georgia declared an emergency in his state. Like what? Climate? Guns? What for the love of Pete? An emergency that gas prices keep going up, and Slow Joe is not doing a dang thing about it. So, Kemp is calling a holiday in collecting gas taxes at the pump. What a great idea? What say you Commie Walz? Will you do the same? HA!

Finally, RINO Romney is calling is a career. He will not run for reelection. He is 76 and is stepping aside to let younger people into the fray. YEA! maybe we can get a conservative from Utah to set the record straight. No offense Mitt, even though I voted for you years ago, you have been a major disappointment as of late.

I asked my wife on the way home today, how in the world can Democrats CONSTANTLY be on the wrong side of every issue? And not by a little bit - by a lotta bit! But remember folks, it is not the nimrods who get elected which are the problem. It is the millions of blue pill air heads who keep electing them. In a world so cut and dried, how can this keep happening? That my friends, is the $64,000 question.

Can we get grandpa back in the basement?

"Today we remember the innocent victims of 9/11. That is front and center on our plate. Except of course, for Joe Biden. After his nap when he gets back to the White House, he will again be talking about the weather, and how we are messing it up."

Slow Joe is now back on American soil. He attended a G20 conference over in India, and then took a side bar over to Viet Nam. From there, he flew back to the USA, stopping in Alaska. A couple of items: 1) Playing nice with India is very important. We need them to be a counter balance to China. Right now, India has passed China up in population. We need India and they need us. 2) Viet Nam has become very friendly to us as of late. Even though they are still commies, they are turning out to be a good trading partner. They have a large supply of rare earth material, which he need for our chip manufacturing. Like India, it is good to have Viet Nam as a counter balance to China.

The above is all good news. Now for the bad. Joe Biden. At his press conference from Viet Nam, his press secretary had to kill his mic and get him off stage. Why? He was probably getting ready to talk about "beating the hell our of Corn Pop", or another one of his fantasy stories. He was yawning and incoherent. This is the face and voice of America that India and Viet Nam have just seen. Both countries were probably wondering who let grandpa out of the basement.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a mess right now. We have Janet Yellen going over and bowing (huh?) to the Chi Coms, and Joe Biden sleepwalking during very important meetings overseas. But what do we do? Invoke the 25th Amendment on Joe Biden? And then what? Harris? Not good. We have Blinken over in Ukraine giving them another billion or so dollars (which we don't have), and Yellen telling us that we need to stay glued to hip with China. It is good for us. Really Janet????

I don't know if we can hang on for another year plus before the next election. If Biden runs again and gets re-elected, we might have to all hope the asteroid comes, and puts us out of our misery. If we could just get Biden to shut his pie hole and stay in the basement, that would give us a chance to make it until November 2024. Meanwhile, our gas is still over $4/gal, inflation is still here, and Biden will do nothing to fix any of it. Again, I ask - whose side is he on? Certainly not ours.

Today we remember the innocent victims of 9/11. That is front and center on our plate. Except of course, for Joe Biden. After his nap when he gets back to the White House, he will again be talking about the weather, and how we are messing it up. No, you can't make this stuff up. For reasons most of us will never understand, we elected this guy to lead us. SMH...

Lest we forget?

"Have I moved on from 9/11? Not one inch. That day, like most of us, is burned into my memory."

President Biden is in Viet Name today. Visiting with the Chairman of the Communist Party. It is September 10th, and tomorrow is the 22nd anniversary of 9/11. How are these two things related? They are not. Not a bit. Tomorrow on 9/11, Biden will stop over in Alaska. Why? Maybe some mention of 9/11, and maybe not. Why? Time to move on.

Wait a dang minute! What do you mean it might be time to move on? One of the President's handlers was asked that question. "Is the President trying to move on from 9/11?" The answer was, "No, but 22 years after Pearl Harbor, we did not have the President visiting Hawaii on December 7th." I guess with that answer, the table is set. If Biden is re-elected, 9/11 will start to fade into the dustbin of history. If most any Republican is elected in 2024, 9/11 will be remembered, and remembered with a passion.

Here is the main difference between the attack on Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Japan had a government which condoned such a sneak attack on American interests. It was a horrible day, followed up by a horrible war. But when the war was over, Japan purged itself of warring interests, and became dedicated to peace. Japan is now one of our closest friends in the Western Pacific.

9/11 was also a horrible day, followed up by a 20-year war in Afghanistan which also ended horribly. The attack on 9/11 was not done by a nation state - it was done by terrorists. Now that we are 22 years after the attack, have the terrorists beaten their swords into plowshares? Not one bit. They are still out there and would attack us again in a New York minute.

Have I moved on from 9/11? Not one inch. That day, like most of us, is burned into my memory. Most everybody can relive what they were doing and where they were at on September 11, 2011. It was a day which changed America. It changed the world. It changed how we do just about everything. No - moving on from the hard lessons learned on 9/11 is not an option.

And that stupid idea that Obama had about making this a "day of service" was just that - a stupid idea. This is a day of remembrance. Plain and simple. Will I ever forget? I WILL NEVER FORGET. I will never forget what happened, and who did it. Never. Ever. Never.

Size matters!

"Size matter with insects. We are blessed to have them. The vast, vast, vast majority of them are helpful, not harmful. But anyone who does not believe in divine creation, need only look at an insect under an electron microscope."

There is a monster on the loose! And it is coming to eat you! Or a small part of you. Okay - maybe just drink a bit of your blood. And this monster comes from a family of trillions. Maybe quadrillions. Or more! What is it? The great Minnesota blood sucker. The mosquito. The picture above is one of many different species of this most bothersome pest. But to look at it under an electron microscope, to show this to a child, could cause nightmares. Why? Scary looking sucker (literally). But guess what? Size matters.

My grandson is going through a stage where he does not care for bugs. Okay - he is scared of them. I have told him that insects are very important to our world. Sure, some can hurt us, sting us, maybe even make us sick. But the vast majority are harmless, and act as a very important first step in the food chain. How so? They keep the food we eat, alive.

The picture above is a common housefly. By the way, did you know the common housefly is being studied by scientists today to better understand their eyes? Their eyes, which have thousands of lenses in them, can not only detect polarization of light, but also see colors which we cannot. There are certain properties to their eyes that scientists are now trying to incorporate into solar panels to make them more efficient. All from a housefly! The divine creation in an insect so tiny is mind boggling!

Of course, with all the harmless insects flying around, we must have a bad apple or two. Pictured above is the notorious Bald-Faced Hornet. This guy looks scary under an electron microscope and is scary in real life. I also put a picture of what a Bald-Face stinger looks like. It looks like something out of a horror movie. I had a close encounter with one last month, and barley won the battle. They are tough and mean and will come after you for just about any reason. Being innocent will not help you, and from what I understand, their sting will cause great pain and agony.

Size matter with insects. We are blessed to have them. The vast, vast, vast majority of them are helpful, not harmful. But anyone who does not believe in divine creation, need only look at an insect under an electron microscope. If you think they are amazing, take a look at the DNA contained in each cell of a human body. But that is a subject for another day.
