Is peace finally about to break out in Europe? Sure, seems that way. We now have the master of the "Art of the Deal" involved with Russia and Ukraine. What does that mean? Setting something up for springtime or maybe summer to discuss terms of a peace agreement? Nope. In the world of "get er' done" Donald Trump, that means start this Friday. It seems that many of the constructs of the deal have already been discussed with both countries. All that is left are the fine details. What does this mean? At long last, the killing should stop very soon. The reconstruction of Ukraine should begin very soon. All this, in less than a month in office for POTUS 47.

But wait - what about Gaza? Trump (and now Israel) have laid down the new terms for peace. Release the remaining hostages by noon on Saturday, or "all hell will break loose." Israel is already back on war footing, ready to go back into Gaza should this deadline not be met. What will the US do? That is being kept close to the vest. What the baddies in Gaza need to know is this - this is over. We are all ready to march on. Doze the entire Gaza Strip. Prep the site for rebuilding. Relocate the Gazans to another spot in the Middle East. What about the terrorists who are hanging on? If they won't release the remaining hostages? God help them all.

Another prisoner held under faux charges was released by Russia yesterday. Been a good week for that! Also, Tulsi Gabbard was confirmed and sworn in by our new AG yesterday. Is Tulsi going to take her time getting used to her new position? Nope. She has already met with Prime Minister Modi from India. Today, RFK Jr. is going to be confirmed by the Senate and sworn in. Next week, Kash Patel. And the band plays on...

DOGE continues to work its magic. A couple of the court cases the Democrats have tried to use to stop the DOGE train have been overturned by a higher court. Full steam ahead! Our new DHS secretary and Tom Homan continue to track down and deport the worst of the worst border jumpers. Hegseth is still over in Europe, now meeting with NATO. Why? NATO needs to really step up their game. Even though peace is in the offing for Ukraine, to build a lasting peace, NATO needs to have more military deterrence. Peace through strength. No more 2% of GDP - now everyone needs to pony up 5%. Why? Russia spends over 40% of their GDP on their military.

No message but potty mouths

"Trump is going down in history as one of the most (maybe the most) consequential presidents in US history. And the potty mouthed Democrats? They won't even be remembered as a smudge on a page. Why? They are acting out their choice. And it is a poor choice indeed."  

We need a new department in the government. It can have very few people, and most would work for free. It could be called the "Department of Mouth Soap". Heck, I might even volunteer to work there. The charter of this new department would be to take elected officials, who are supposed to be the best of us, and when they take a bullhorn and spread invective all over the Washington Mall, someone from this new department would wash their mouths out with soap.

Wait - what? These are grown up people. Why in the world would you treat them like children? Well, they are acting like children. And some children might see this churlish and boorish behavior on TV and decide to imitate them. So then, the question remains - why are they doing this? Why are they stooping to the lowest common denominator of potty language to use on both the 47th President as well as the richest man in the world? 

Easy answer. Just like when Donald Trump was the 45th President and now that he is the 47th President, the Democrats can't lay a finger on him. I could use that old adage of Democrats playing checkers while Trump plays four-dimensional chess, but I won't. I could say that Trump is a genius, and most Democrats are as dumb as rocks - but I won't say that either. I also could say that Biden only worked four hours a day (at the most), and Trump works at least fourteen hours a day, but again - why bring that up. I will however say this - the man who wrote "The Art of the Deal", lives it each day, every day. In everything he does. Whereas most Democrats are only schooled in the "Art of the Steal".

Today, Tulsi Gabbard is going to be confirmed by the Senate and sworn into her new position. Tomorrow it should be Kash Patel's turn. Yesterday, Steve Witkoff flew his own private jet to Moscow to bring back an American who was held in a Russian prison. It was the result of a conversation that Trump had with Putin. All part of a "grand bargain", yet to be disclosed. Today, another American will be released. This weekend is witching hour for Hamas to release the remaining hostages. Why this weekend? That is Trump's deadline. This is what winning looks like Democrats. Instead of cursing at Trump, give him kudos. He is doing a GREAT job.

Is war on the horizon?

"What has really weakened the terrorist's hand is the condition of the last three hostages to be released. They looked about as bad as the American POWs who were released from North Vietnam prisons towards the end of the war. Any grace which might have been expected by Hamas has evaporated."

Doing a bit of digging yesterday, as well as news watching this morning, it seems that Defense Secretary Hegseth might be getting a baptism by fire in the near future. Why? Two opportunities (if I can call them that) for armed conflict. Not next summer, not this upcoming spring - maybe this winter. War with whom? Russia? China? Iran? North Korea? No to all those guesses. War with the cartels and war with Hamas.

First with the cartels. Word is leaking out that we have really stepped up our recon flights around the perimeter of Mexico. Not with a ready to mothball fleet of spy planes (except for the U-2 we are using) - we are using our best stuff. Why are we doing this? For both strategic and tactical purposes. We are "vacuuming the spectrum" to pick up anything and everything we can. All this by trying very hard not to violate Mexican airspace.

Plus, rumor has it we already have Tier One operators in the area. What does that mean? It means given the green light, they might get a "capture or kill" order for one of the cartel chiefs. Why only one? Send a message. That there is no place to hide. Could that lead to a shooting war on our southern border? Could - but I think Tom Homan will have his troops ready, and Hegseth will have his boots on the ground ready for it should it come.

Next, Hamas. They are starting to play the waiting game with the release of more hostages. Trump has about had it with these guys. He announced that Hamas has until noon on Saturday to release ALL the remaining hostages, or as said in the Wyatt Earp movie, "I'm coming and bringing hell with me."

By the way - these are not prisoners of war. They are innocent hostages. Why Israel is exchanging hardened prisoners for innocent hostages is beyond me.

Which brings me to my final point - Gaza. Until it is bulldozed, all unexploded munitions found, all tunnels destroyed - Gaza should be looked at as a "no man's land". Will Gazans ever be allowed to come back and live in that other "Riveira by the sea"? Maybe. If they change the way they treat Israel, maybe decades before they come back. If they stay radicalized by Hamas - never. Egypt, Jordan and Syria can figure out what to do with them. As our parents told us when we misbehaved - our actions and poor choices - have consequences.   

Civil Disobedience

Not two tiers of justice - one tier, with nobody putting their thumb on the scale. The days of the very corrupt AG Garland are over. The days of Joe Biden are over. Now it is time for the good guys to get back on their white horses and restore law and order. Why? That is what real Americans do." 

The Deep States continues to manifest and perform its diabolical deeds. Most of us have heard about the first huge raid by a combination of ICE and other law enforcement agencies in Aurora, CO. They thought they could nab maybe 100 Tren de Aragua gang members. They ended up getting only 1. Why? Somebody within the government (or the media) tipped off the illegals that this raid was coming. Plus, once they were onsite, some locals were defying the law enforcers by using bullhorns to warn anyone who might still be on site. It was a disgusting sight to witness.

Then this morning, it was announced that an even bigger raid was planned for Los Angeles. Once again, somebody tipped off the illegals. With the element of surprise gone, the raid would have been fruitless. This gang is made up of some really bad, bad people. So bad, Venezuela is not happy about taking any of them back. Then I think - what kind of an American would do such a thing? Work against their own law enforcement, when law enforcement was only trying to keep the innocents safe from harm.

Civil disobedience. Man, oh man - the Democrats are very good at this black art. But now, I have some bad news for the rule breakers. Pam Bondi, our new AG, is involved. Anybody who aids and abets the law breakers will be treated also like a law breaker. What if we have to arrest hundreds, or thousands while keeping America safe? Oh, we have plenty of jails. Plus, Gitmo. Plus, an offer to uses jails in El Salvador. In other words, we will soon have more jail space than criminals. Want to do civil disobedience? Do it at your own peril. Pam Bondi has had years of experience of dealing with malcontents.

Soon, Kash Patel will also be confirmed by the Senate and sworn in. Then the remaining issues at the FBI will be taken care of. The FBI will go from lawfare, back to the good old days of Efrin Zimbalist Junior. They will be the good guys in the white hats once again. On a personal note, as someone who worked at a company who was being investigated for defective pricing on a government contract, I have had my dance with the FBI. Even though I was 100% innocent (and proven to be that way in a court of law), the FBI agents assigned to my case treated me like Jack Dillinger. Had my rights read to me, put in an interrogation room, dragged in front of a grand jury - the whole nine yards. Did the FBI apologize to me when they found out I was innocent? Still waiting...

Sweet dreams?

Dreams. We all have them. Some are good, some not so good, some confusing, and yes, some are nightmares. I have been fascinated with dreams for years. How for those few hours during the night when we enter REM sleep, our subconscious takes over. And often times, it is quite a ride.

Many times, when I awaken from a dream, I think, "where in the world did that come from?" Well, it came from me. Locked up in my subconscious. And for some reason, in my dreams, I am often times involved in a situation of some kind. It seems I spend the night, trying to help solve some insolvable problem. Often times in a place I traveled to which I can't get back from. These are not sweet dreams, nor are they nightmares. But most of them are exhausting.

Aldous Huxley was fascinated with the subconscious. He wrote about trying to explore his subconscious in his book Doors of Perception. I read this book back in the 1970's, trying to understand his insight on the subconscious. The problem was, he was looking at psychedelics to be the answer instead of trying to understand dreams. That book turned out to be a wrong way street in my quest for dream knowledge.

We have an indigenous man who lives down the street. He grew up in the Red Lake tribe, and at one time, would make "dream catchers" for sale. People would buy a dream catcher, and hang it by their bed, or the bed of a child. Legend would have it, that a dream catcher would "catch" any bad dreams before they got to who was sleeping by it. If they worked or not, I have no idea. But I have seen some which have very good handywork in them. Some are very attractive.

Not too long ago, I read an article on dreams, and why we have them. Dreams are important for brain health. To not have dreams is not good for us. Our bodies use REM sleep (according to this article), to "wash down our brain like a fire hose". Dreaming is when our brains cleanse themselves, so when we awaken, our brains are sharp and focused. But the article still did not explain the "why" and "how" of dreams.

I am probably not the first to wonder about dreams, nor will I be the last. Dreams are just one of those things which happen to us which we don't understand. Kind of like our autonomous nervous system. Thinking about what it is in our brains which keeps our heart beating 24 x 7 can drive one crazy. Like dreams, it is unexplainable. 

When AI gets to the stage of ASI (Super Intelligence), it is supposed to rival the human brain. Maybe - but there are mysteries galore in our brains which I doubt artificial science can ever touch. Until then, we will just keep dreaming, and every now and again, wake up wondering - Where in the world did that dream come from??? 

 

 

No place to go but up...

 

"The Democrats need to know they are not helping right now. If anything, they are hurting everyone. When you are sick, you can't take it out on your doctor. And right now, our education in this country is very sick. And the doctor is President Trump. Let him fix it." 

Holy cow! I knew the stats were bad, and we were down towards the bottom, but I had no idea that we were the bottom! Every red-blooded American should be in the streets with torches and pitchforks! And the Democrats in Congress - what the what is wrong with those people? They are spewing all their venom towards the DOGE auditors, and none towards education in this country. Does the fact that most of our kids can't read spit and are behind in their math bother them at all? We are falling behind every country who matters right now. Where is the outrage? 

Crickets. Why? This has nothing to do with education, and everything to do with power and the visceral hatred of Donald Trump (and now Elon Musk). Instead of all this blather, the loony left should be begging for answers on how to fix it. But they knew for the past four years the Department of Education was a mess. It was failing. The Department or Education and Joe Biden were complacent in turning our kids into products of our failure factories. Trump can fix it, but the loony left hates Trump. Hating Trump is far more important than our kids. Right Maxine?

Years (many years) ago when I worked at the Control Data Company, that company decided the future of learning would be computer based. Thus, they came up with the Plato Learning System. All employees needed to take their annual training using this system. It was the start of something which today, is very accepted and useful. When I used Plato back in the 1980's, it was on small green screens. Today, computer learning is interactive with videos, maps, formulas and so forth. I can only imagine what AI will do with computer learning. I firmly believe it will replace public education - totally.

Why be last when we can be first? When you go to the doctor when not feeling well, the first thing the doctor will do is determine what ails you. That is what Elon Musk and company are doing to the Department of Education. However, so much about this bloated POS is known already, the cure is also mostly known. Shut it down. Do something else, which will produce better results. Doing the same failure thing over and over is that insanity thing. We need to stop. Now. Period.

To come up with the right solution for our education woes, might be easier than many think. President Trump wants education to be determined by the states. For many states that will be very good. Other states - maybe not so much. Much more parent involvement will help. Technology will be a great help. Charter schools - maybe. Montessori schools - probably. Home schools - absolutely.

The Democrats need to know they are not helping right now. If anything, they are hurting everyone. When you are sick, you can't take it out on your doctor. And right now, our education in this country is very sick. And the doctor is President Trump. Let him fix it. 

More turmoil in DOGE City

 

"Here is the long and the short of it. Elon Musk is doing this as a favor to the country. He is not taking a dime of pay, nor does he want nor need any of the money found. Why? He is already the richest man on the planet and money is not a drug to him, like it is to the Democrats."

Oh, my goodness! How the mighty are falling! Well, those who at one time thought they were mighty. Barely three weeks into the Trump (47) administration, and his team of DOGE boys are uncovering all kinds of well-kept secrets. And they have barely started. Meanwhile, the Democrats, who LOVE spending your money, are screaming like raped apes that some of their stash houses have become discovered. Even though it is your money, for some reason these bunch of elected thieves think it is THEIR money. SMH. 

My favorite so far is what happened yesterday. The Department of Education. This waste of space set up by Jimmy Carter. Because it has become so bloated, so woke, and so useless, the United States (who spends more per pupil than any other species in the known universe), is now ranked dead last out of 40 developed countries in reading and math. Yet, these clueless Democrats (like Max Waters) are protecting this museum of failure against any kind of reform or shrinkage. Why? Please - somebody tell me.

When the apple cart gets turned upside down, there are always apples which need to be thrown away. Over the decades of having free-spending Democrats in power, and pajama boy judges to protect them, we have spent way more money than we have. A balanced budget? Please, don't bore me. A budget? Again, don't make me laugh. We (the Democrats) will spend as much as we want and will lecture you in the process of doing so.

What really has their undies in a bunch right now, is having "a bunch of unelected billionaires" finding their hidden money. I guess having George Soros running around trying to ruin our country during the blue years was okay with them. Short memories. Here is the long and the short of it. Elon Musk is doing this as a favor to the country. He is not taking a dime of pay, nor does he want nor need any of the money found. Why? He is already the richest man on the planet and money is not a drug to him, like it is to the Democrats. He is doing this as he is more of a patriot than 99% of the Democrats who have been elected.

"This is where Democracy goes to die". Funny the left has used that saying on the citizens and patriots while they try to make things better for all of us. Here is the truth. The DOGE crew are trying to shine the light of truth on how wasteful some of our spending has been. We are like the 400-pound person who refuses to listen to diet advice. To lose weight, or to get our spending in check, we need to take the "cure". Like a twelve-step program. But the Democrats won't listen. Hedonism over self-control when it comes to spending our money.

Sorry to report this, but even though some softy judges have stepped in to help the spenders, this train is going to continue down the tracks. Donald Trump knows how to win and what is right for our country. Elections matter - and so does the truth.
