Southern Border Intrusions

What is the world is going on with our southern border? I live in a northern border state, and we have zero problems compared to Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and California. Most every day I read about more and more incredible things happening down there. It is a human tragedy developing right before our eyes.

There has been chaos and bedlam on the southern border for years. However, it have never been like it is now. As concerned as I am about the waves of illegals coming into our country, I am more concerned about what might sneak in with them. This is a classic case of overwhelming our resources to the point where the real threat comes in without ever being noticed.

Why be concerned? Terrorists, you say? After all, Osama is dead, right? We heard about that over and over and over again during the past election. "General Motors is alive (really?) and Osama bin Laden is dead." I can still see Smokin' Joe saying that to the gullible masses. However, the innocent and kind terrorist that President Obama released in 2009 seems to be stepping into the late Osama bin Laden's shoes.

Aba Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the new and growing ISIS, made a promise when he was released in 2009. "I will see you guys in New York."  Is he a nut, or should we take him seriously? As far as I am concerned, this guy means business. He is bold, he is daring. Al Qaeda has said for many years now that nukes are in their future. The plane attack worked just fine, thank you. However for their next act, something much more spectacular might be in the offing.

So how in the world could anyone get a nuke into our country? Don't we have our ports well secured? Don't we have the NEST System of detection? Yes, to a degree. However, with 75% of our southern border patrol agents changing diapers and providing day care to illegals, this would be a perfect time to get something evil and vile into our country. 

As we slip more and more into a Woodrow Wilson type of isolationism, the table might already be set. ISIS (or ISIL), has all the time in the world to make this happen. As far as their newfound land grabs and aggression is concerned, the UN will do nothing and it appears more and more likely the US will not either. ISIS will continue to grow and fester and the calls for global caliphate will only get louder. Be not confused - Syria and Iraq are not the objectives. ISIS is only taking back what they consider to be their territory by birthright. Israel and the United States remain the vermin that need to be eliminated.

Next week will be more of the same on the southern border. The blame game will continue, and maybe get worse. Our President, while may not be the architect of this mess, is certainly complicit to a degree or two. What I am saying is simply this - our southern border represents a clear and present danger to our country. Ignoring it will not make it go away. Time to call up the National Guard.
