Sick to death of this yet? I sure am. I am so tired of hearing the same old crapola each and every day from each side. How much do I know what each side will say? I could recite it by heart. It never changes. The blame game is now deep and wide. "A pox on both of their houses", says the flying public. Judges are issuing orders which cannot be carried out, to fund the SNAP Program. Basically, the nation is a mess right now. It does not work. The gears of progress have come to a grinding halt.
What is the real problem? The same problem this country has had since 2016. TDS, better known as Trump Derangement Syndrome. I have said this until I am blue in the face, I have met maybe a handful of people over the past nine years who are neutral on Donald Trump. The other 99.99% of the population either loves him to death or can't stand the sight of him. And because of the visceral hatred that many on the left have for Donald Trump, they will sacrifice the country just to hurt the president. Cold hard, and immutable fact.
Over the years, we have slowly devolved from e pluribis unum, to the Hatfields and the McCoys. The hatred which fomented against Trump in 2016 has grown and metastasized. Now the hatred is directed not only at Donald Trump, but also the MAGA folks who voted for him. We are no longer the loyal opposition - we are the enemy. So much so, the other side calls us Nazis (and worse).
Oil and water. Night and day. East and west. All things which cannot be combined for some kind of consensus. Maybe that is the reason this government shutdown happened. To really expose the dysfunction of our country right now. That we can no longer work together - on anything. I mean, this clean CR which the Dems have voted on many times before (it originated under Biden), is a slam dunk. A "no-brainer". And yet, it has us stymied. Shut down. Staring at each other across the great divide.

But I have a better one, if you will indulge me for just a minute. This is spiritual warfare. How so? The hatred. The vile and unrelenting hatred. The forces of darkness are using hatred to take down this great country. To destroy it. Until that is fixed, we won't be fixed. Cold, hard fact. Full stop.
