Sucker punched - again

"Back to the present. It is 2020, and we have been sucker punched once again. Not by Japanese Zeros attacking our ships, not by Muslim terrorists flying jetliners into buildings - this time we are being attacked by an invisible virus."

Today is Pearl Harbor Day. The day which will "live in infamy". Next year will be the 80th anniversary of this surprise attack on our fleet, docked at Pearl Harbor. It is also our first "sucker punch". History has shown we probably should have seen it coming. But we did not, and it catapulted our "isolationist" country into the throws of World War II. Japan had awoken the "sleeping giant", and the United States not only helped defeat the Axis Powers, but it was the start of this nation becoming a super power.

Well, that will never happen again! Nobody will ever "sucker punch" us again! That is until the warning shot came in 1993. That is when radial Muslims tried to blow up the World Trade Center. Only by luck, the attack failed. That should have been a red flag for us. The radical Muslims could try that again. But we got wrapped up in other things, including the 2000 election, which really turned out to be a cluster. The 1993 World Trade Center attack? That was so very yesterday. Then September 11, 2001 came. Sucker punched again.

Now I will digress for a minute. On one of my active duty experiences, I was stationed at a cryptology station in northern Maine. Upon arrival, I met with the CO to get my assignment. He gave me the most unusual, yet interesting assignments I had in my Naval career. The CO wanted me to "think outside the box", think like a Russian terrorist, and come up with three different ways I could sabotage the station, and take it off line.

In the armed forces, we are taught to think like "good guys". For two weeks, I had to think like a "bad guy". I turned my report in before I left, and the CO loved it. Of the three scenarios, one of them he never thought of. And he agreed that scenario was plausible and could take the station off line for a long period of time.

Back to the present. It is 2020, and we have been sucker punched once again. Not by Japanese Zeros attacking our ships, not by Muslim terrorists flying jetliners into buildings - this time we are being attacked by an invisible virus. It caught us totally unprepared. It shouldn't have - as we have had uninvited virus' come here before. Many of which came from China.

We need people in our government to think outside the box more. Come up with plausible scenarios which can screw up our lives. Kill people. Stunt our economy. We need to predict and prevent the next sucker punch. Whatever it is, from visible to invisible, we need to take a "do better" in preventing the next sucker punch. We owe that to ourselves, our kids, and our grandchildren.

In to the future, I go gently...

"By the middle to end of the year, 2021 could be a bright, shining light after coming out of the darkness of 2020. That is what most of us are hoping and praying for."

Today is the Bird's birthday. The only reason I mention that fact, is to illustrate a point. A point I dare say many of us have come to realize this past year. A year ago today, I turned 70. We had a fun family day at Jax Restaurant in NE Mpls. To make it a special day for the littles as well, it was Jax annual Breakfast with Santa event. No pandemic, very little politics - just family fun.

After the brunch was over, and my wife and I came home, I thought about the future. I thought about how much fun it was going to be experiencing all the excitement of 2020. In my mind, turning 70 and heading into 2020 was going to be a double header of fun. And it was - until March rolled around, and we were vacationing in Florida. The rest is all history, which does not need to be relived in this article.

Now, it is a year later, and I look forward to 2021 with a different perspective. First off, my feet hit the floor when I got up this morning. I am still here. For that, I am grateful to our Heavenly Father. But as clear as I thought the future looked at this time last year, is as cloudy as it looks to me this year. The best word I can use to how I feel looking forward into 2021 is, unsettled.

But life must go on. Our country must go on. Even though life is uncertain and tough right now, one thing is for certain. God is in control. There is a plan that God knows of. We might not, but He does. We just need to trust in Him, and listen for His soft, gentle voice.

That being said, we need to prepare ourselves for the next three months. Every thing I have read from many different medical experts, say the same thing. This is going to be a rough ride. The head of the CDC said this could be the darkest period in our nation's medical history. Okay - but we still need to go on. We still need our country to go on.

And that is where I come to where I am at today, on my birthday. Unlike last year, when I could not wait to dive into the new year, this year I am prepared to go gently into the new year. By the middle to end of the year, 2021 could be a bright, shining light after coming out of the darkness of 2020. That is what most of us are hoping and praying for. But we also need to prepare ourselves, that 2021 could offer some more unwelcomed surprises.

One thing I do know is this. No matter what the new year brings, be it good, bad, or ugly - we will be better prepared if we face it together, and not so divided. The Holy Bible tells us, "A house divided against itself cannot stand".  Words to ponder, as we go gently into the new year.

Mayhem for the masses

"December will usher in the perfect storm, which will have nothing to do with the weather. Christians will still celebrate the birth of our Savior, even if it is very non-traditional this year. Some how, some way, most of us will get through this, and come out on the other side."

Guess what is coming? And coming soon. Christmas? That is part of it. What we have coming is a perfect storm. Not the weather kind of storm - rather this will be the perfect confluence of three major items - and they will all hit in December of this year.

The "surge within a surge" is already starting. That is thing # one. The number of fatalities and hospital admissions due to Covid is nothing less than staggering. For many, the party came on Thanksgiving weekend. Now comes the hangover. For some, Thanksgiving was a just a nice time to be with friends and family. They were fortunate. For others, it became an unwanted "spreader" event. The medical experts, should we choose to listen to and/or believe them, tell us the worst is yet to come. If we gather at Christmas like we did at Thanksgiving, January could be a cold, dark, nightmare.

Thing # two is Christmas. The medical experts are already warning us about having too many people gathered, and in particular, people from outside your household. My guess is, just like with Thanksgiving, some will gather as they do every year - and hopefully, it will end up being a "nothing burger". For others however, some will get sick once Christmas is over. The older folks could get very sick. Some loved ones could die. It is a measured risk all families will need to evaluate.

Thing # three is the first tranche of vaccinations. They are here, and the roll out is right around the corner. The trials to date have been very promising. Minor side effects are usually a headache and chills. But without the longer duration trials that the FDA sanctions, questions of length of efficacy, and potential long term side effects remain.

What does this mean? Just like gathering around the Thanksgiving or Christmas table with friends and family, getting vaccinated is a measured risk. That being said, enough folks have had it with lockdowns and isolation, so that who is first, second or third in line to get the shot, might end up looking like a WWE cage match.

One final thought which goes back to thing # 1. Our local hospital, the one both of our kids were born in, has grown to be a very large health center. At the start of the pandemic, and up until recently, it has been in great shape with available beds and staff. No longer. It is stretched "to the gills", and is in "red flag" territory. The hospital my youngest daughter works at (downtown), which is a huge facility, has recently gone from a handful of beds remaining, to zero beds. And at most hospitals, people are dying in the ICUs from this horrible lung disease, with alarming regularity.

December will usher in the perfect storm, which will have nothing to do with the weather. Christians will still celebrate the birth of our Savior, even if it is very non-traditional this year. Some how, some way, most of us will get through this, and come out on the other side. My hope, my prayer, is the coming vaccines are the panacea we all believe the will be.

John Galt - where art thou?

"Time for President Trump to declare this election a shame and a sham, and have SCOTUS and Congress take over. Mr. President, for the sake of the Union, please act. Otherwise, it might be time for a requiem - a requiem for a once great nation."

This title is somewhat misleading. Sorry about that. Where is John Galt? We know exactly where he is. He is right here. Hidden amongst the 70+ million who voted for Donald Trump. And John Galt is not a he nor a she. John Galt is not a singular person. John Galt is not just many people - John Galt is legions. And this tidal wave of John Galt type patriots, are royalty pissed off right now, that this election was stolen from them. And as of this date, nobody can stop this miscarriage of justice from happening.

Those who have read Atlas Shrugged, know exactly what happened with John Galt. When the government became too corrupt to govern, John Galt picked up his marbles and left. He and others like him, started their own country, hidden from the corruption of the country they just left. In other words, when they left, they stopped the engine of the world.

What is happening right now, is disclosure of evidence. Lots and lots of evidence. Not just in one place, but in many. Now what I am about to say, will sound strange to many. We need Democrats now, like never before. Huh? Rather than Democrats sticking their heads in the sand when all this evidence is presented, either agree this election was tainted, or give viable explanations to why this proof exists, and why it does not matter. To pretend that it does not exist, and we are all nut balls, only does one thing. Half the country will no longer think that our elections matter anymore.

However, as of right now, citizens and patriots are still watching this election being stolen from Donald Trump - right in broad daylight. Come late January, and if we have a fiat government sworn in, look for all of the John Galt's to engage. They will engage by disengagement. A free people will always yearn to live in a free country. To be governed freely, by peers who are elected fairly. They understand what their natural and God given rights are, and cannot, will not, tolerate living under a government where those rights are diminished or abrogated.

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, our country is at the crossroads right now. We are close to crossing the Rubicon. Going around a curve, from which there is no return.

Time for President Trump to declare this election a shame and a sham, and have SCOTUS and Congress take over. Mr. President, for the sake of the Union, please act. Otherwise, it might be time for a requiem - a requiem for a once great nation.

UFOs, USOs, UAPs and Disclosures

"We don't care what the term for these 'somethings' are. We don't care if they are called UAPs, UFOs, or USOs. But in each of those terms, the 'U' stands for 'unidentified'. That we would like to do, is have the 'unidentified' term cease."

What in the world is going on? Or some might ask, what outside our world is going on? Or, maybe the questions should be, what inside our world is going on? Whatever it is, it will all be part (as promised) of the forthcoming "disclosure". Disclosure of what, you might ask? Disclosure of what thousands, maybe millions have been seeing since 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. Some might say, even earlier than that.

For those who are now tempted to change the channel, hold on for just for a minute. Some have seen a "something" which cannot be explained. My son-in-law and I saw a "something" on Thanksgiving eve in 2006. It was a huge triangle "something", rising out of the Mississippi River ,and then headed skyward. It was a sight our eyes could not believe. We were both interviewed by MUFON a few days after it was over. What was it? No clue. But it was in the water, and then headed straight up. MUFON said we definitely saw "something".

Want to go deeper? Did you know that Columbus and one of his crew, witnessed strange lights in the sky and the sea during his voyage? It is right in his journal - the night of October 11, 1492. What were they? Columbus had no clue - but he felt it was important to make note of this most unusual event.

Since we have only explored 5% of the world's oceans, is it not possible that these "somethings" people keep seeing might be coming from our oceans? The area right off our very southwestern coast, by Catalina Island, seems to be a hotbed of these "somethings". With a strong Navy presence in San Diego, don't you think the Navy knows a whole more about these "somethings" than they are letting on to?

It might be time for the government to put up, and not shut up. We can handle the truth. If we are alone in the universe, most might find that hard to believe, but we could deal with it. If have evidence we are NOT alone in the universe, tell us what the evidence is. We can deal with that also. AND - if our seas contain some kind of intelligent life form, which can control these amazing crafts which defy all aerodynamic logic, we can handle that. What we can't handle is this - being kept in the dark on this issue.

We don't care what the term for these "somethings" are. We don't care if they are called UAPs, UFOs, or USOs. But in each of those terms, the "U" stands for "unidentified". That we would like to do, is have the "unidentified" term cease. Tell us what they are, and what they mean to us. From there, we can go forward. Disclosure? Now is the time.

Joe "Bite Me"?

"The improbable outcome of "Bite Me" becoming POTUS # 46 is now looking more probable every day. Each day which passes, the Hail Mary pass that Trump's legal team would need to score on, grows five yards longer."

When Joe Biden was Vice President, he did not endear the friendship of all he was surrounded with. Not that long after Obama was immaculated, General Stanley McChrystal was being interviewed by Rolling Stone. He made a reference to the Vice President by calling him "Bite Me" instead of Biden. It gave many of us a good chuckle, gave Rush Limbaugh some good talking points, and even though he apologized, it cost McChrystal his job. But for many of us, Biden will forever be "Bite Me". Why? It fits.

The Never Trumpers continuously speak about what a flawed man Donald Trump is. What an embarrassment to the Presidency he is. Really? I would stack the accomplishments of Donald Trump, both as President and before 2016, against Joe Biden's 47 years of warming a chair in DC. I would make that comparison any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Biden (Bite Me) has always been a nothing burger. An empty suit. A swamp dweller.

James Madison and George Washington warned us about swamp dwellers like Biden. In a constitutional republic (not a democracy, you Democrat morons!), people get elected, go and serve for a period of time, then go home, while someone else serves. Certainly, not for 47 years.

Biden has not only been corrupted by the system, he help corrupt the system which corrupts. He has learned how to become wealthy, just by warming a chair in the nation's capital. When asked to list his accomplishments over the last 47 years, the list would be short and not very sweet. But who cares? He is one of the elite. The establishment. The swamp.

The improbable outcome of "Bite Me" becoming POTUS # 46 is now looking more probable every day. Each day which passes, the Hail Mary pass that Trump's legal team would need to score on, grows five yards longer. If he is inaugurated, it will be a day I thought I would never see. In a fair election, this would never have happened. But the fraud visited upon this country might be so intricate, so pervasive, so complicated, that proving it might be a bridge too far for Trump's legal team.

How will the 70+ million who voted for Donald Trump react to a "Bite Me" sitting in the White House? A faux President? First off, the country will be damaged for many years. Half of the electorate will no longer trust the system. Period. Next, since the Democrats have set the bar so very low in how they treated Donald Trump, we will do the same for "Bite Me". In fact, we will lower that low bar, even lower. Like many have said, Joe Biden will rue the day he started this quest. It will be the worst four years of his life (if he is not ousted by Harris before his term is over).

That is it. No more today. Just writing about this subject depresses me. That is all.

Seen some strange things in my lifetime...

We have the social unrest of 1968, the confusion of the election of 2000, and the pandemic of 1918, all rolled up into one year.

One of my favorite John Denver songs from yesteryear was "Readjustment Blues". And one of my favorite lines in that song was, "I have seen a lot of strange things in my travels...". I can modify that line to say, "I have seen a lot of strange things in my lifetime, but few as strange as I am seeing now." I dare say the majority of folks could say the same. Every time I try to get used to the mayhem, the madness, the confusion of today, reality smacks me on the side of the head. These days are like a dream - a very bad dream.

We have the social unrest of 1968, the confusion of the election of 2000, and the pandemic of 1918, all rolled up into one year. Yesterday, I had a neuropathy appointment. It was like walking into a clean room. Everyone was masked up, and all surfaces sanitized. What was somewhat of social event as well as medical in the past, is now very clinical and distanced. Today, I have my six month dentist appointment. Having your teeth cleaned these days, is almost like going in for surgery, in how clean and prepped everyone is.

Yesterday, some cooler heads tried to prevail in Minneapolis. The nut balls on the City Council want to significantly reduce the size of the Minneapolis Police Department. News flash - it is already too small. The Mayor, and the Chief of Police had a presser to say this is nuts (so to speak). Crime is already sky high, and to reduce then number of cops would be a disaster. Dozens of cops have already taken medical retirement due to PTSD caused by the George Floyd riot. Minneapolis right now, is a great place to avoid.

In 2000, we had one of the strangest Presidential elections - ever. People on the left were so pissed off that Bush (43) got the nod from the Supreme Court, their motto became, "Not my President!", or "Selected, not elected!". Whereas that election was over some "hanging chad" issues in one state (Florida), this election is about fraud on a national level. How is it going to turn out? Stay tuned. But it could end badly for all of us.

2020 has one more month left in it. Thank the Lord, many are saying or thinking. This year, the start of a decade, started off with so much promise. Now it has turned into a fever dream which will not quit.

2021 SHOULD be a better year, as by June 1st, everyone who wants to take the Covid - 19 vaccine, should have. We should also have this election fiasco figured out by then. Either Biden will be President, and most of the country will agree there was no fraud, or fraud was proved, and Trump will be in his second term. The worst outcome would be if Biden was President, and the fraud issue was unresolved. If that is the case, 2021 will be a bigger mess than 2020 is.

I have been in earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and typhoons. I have been across the IDT as well as the equator. I have lived in a third world country for a year and a half. I have traveled to Washington DC over 200 times. In other words, I have been around the block. Now at 70, I can look around and say, these days are the strangest I have ever lived in. Not by a little, but by a lot.

Time to go. Have to finish my Covid paperwork for my dentist appointment. In the paper this morning, it is reported that Christmas might be a scrub. The much anticipated surge is coming. This is after Thanksgiving being a dud. The Gopher football season is about dead, killed by Covid. There is more. I could report more, but I am starting to get melancholy (again)...
