Part time everything...

Part time. At one time had a connotation. Sometimes a bad connotation. These days - part time is a fact of life. How so? Seems the voice of truth is coming out of the administrations iron curtain. Jobs report. Many, if not most, are part time or temp jobs. Caveat - unless they are government jobs. Many are full time and go on forever.

 But then, why are so many part time jobs being sought? To make ends meet. It is tough out here these days. Why? Biden-omics. And speaking of the name Biden, he is our current president, who is also part time. Last year 40% of his time was on vacation or hiding in his basement in Delaware.

Congress is also part-time. Work-weeks are often times Tuesday thru Thursday. That is, when Congress is not in recess. One wonders why things never get done in Congress. Why their approval rating is almost lower than a Hamas terrorist. To get work done, one must be present. I know, I know - what good does it do be there, when the other side sits with arms folded and always says "NO!"

Back to us for a minute. Part time is no longer a stigma - it is becoming a fact of life. Many places offer part time employment just so the worker comes under the threshold of benefits. Saves money that way for the employer. Others are just trying to "plug the holes", without paying too much in labor costs. Still others might know the dirty little secret of what is coming and coming fast. 

This decade, millions of American workers are going to be replaced. Not by foreigners - by "Hal" (reference to 2001 - Space Odessey). In the movie 2001, "Hal", loaded with AI, was up and running just after the millennium started. In real life, plenty of "Hal" type AI loaded robotic devices, will be up and running before 2030. That is less than six years away. And in those six years, the world is going to change right before our eyes. "Hals" will be popping up everywhere.

Fixing the AG position

"Eric Holder was a disgrace. Loretta Lynch was a disgrace. Merrick Garland is a disgrace. Time to fix this mess. We deserve better."   

"The top law enforcer in the country". Who is that supposed to be? Why, the Attorney General of the United States, that is who! Really? How is Merrick Garland doing? Or is he just acting like the private counsel for the president. Or remember Eric Holder? The AG under Obama? How unbiased was he? Remember when he referred to himself as Obama's "wingman"? He was as bad as Garland. Maybe worse. 

Here is the question which begs to be asked. If the AG (like Garland or Holder) decides to act like the president's personal counsel instead of the country's top lawyer - where does that leave us? I think we have been able to answer that question, by just looking at the lay of the land. If you are a Republican, you are an enemy of the state. If you are a Christian, you are a prime suspect. If you even know how to pronounce January 6th, you are dirt, and will be thrown in a super max. If you want to investigate any of the Bidens - forget about it.

We need to fix this position. Make it truly independent. Right now, the position of AG is a joke. A waste of space. A very powerful position, just waiting to be weaponized. When Donald Trump talks about a two-tiered system of justice under Biden, he is not kidding. This should be an affront to any living, breathing American. If you are okay with the status quo, you are probably just a member of the apparatchik. 

Maybe we need to change our laws where the AG must always be of a different party than the current administration. Same with the head of the FBI. Any member of the DOJ or FBI who has a political vent, needs to go. Like whom? Peter Strzok and Lisa Page for starters. The Deep State has put a stain on our government. When Trump is sworn in, we need to clean house and then fumigate it. I mean, fumigate every inch of it. 

Eric Holder was a disgrace. Loretta Lynch was a disgrace. Merrick Garland is a disgrace. Time to fix this mess. We deserve better.   

Remembering the 30 and the 5

"Wait - we left Americans behind? We have 30 dead Americans without any retribution. Israel is avenging their dead, and all Joe Biden and Blinken can do is criticize the IDF and threaten to withhold needed military support. Why have we not joined the fray? What about the 30 dead Americans?"

Our administration is doing a great job in telling Israel this entire Gaza was thing was their fault. Huh? I thought Hamas invaded Israel, and then butchered over a thousand innocents and then took over a hundred hostages. Well, forget that. Our Cameleon president, who at one time was an Israel supporter when he thought it would garner Jewish votes, has now been cowed by the Muslims in Michigan to re-visit reality. For some reason, Israel deserved the carnage it received.

Bibi Netanyahu keeps reminding us that after 9/11 we took no pauses nor showed any mercy to the Taliban. I mean, how would America respond today, if we had American citizens butchered and/or some taken hostage? Hold the phone! We did! We lost 30 American citizens who were in Israel at the time. Butchered, just like the Israeli's. And we have 5 American citizens who have illegally held in Gaza by Hamas for six months.

Wait - we left Americans behind? We have 30 dead Americans without any retribution. What about the 30 dead Americans? Maybe we are just saying, "Move on - nothing to see here". Biden did that after Abby Gate. No retribution, no recrimination. Nothing. No justice for the 13 dead Americans at Abby Gate. 

This just stinks. I have heard nary a peep about our dead countrymen and women. When Trump was president, we lost a military contractor, and Trump responded by turning Iranian General Soleimani into dust. Trump then warned Iran, it they retaliated, he would start going up the food chain. The message was received. The current message is if you kill or capture Americans, we will just turn our heads and walk away.

The other night, Mark Levin talked about Anthony Blinken. He said he was evil. Maybe he is - but he sure is inept. But then again, so is many of the unqualified DEIs who inhabit Biden's cabinet.   

  

 

The real mystery of the eclipse

"The '400 rule'. It just so happens, that our sun is 400 times bigger than our Moon. And - the sun is 400 times further away from Earth than our Moon is. The result? During a total eclipse, the Moon perfectly blocks out the sun."

My grandson recently finished a project for school where he made the decision to explore our Solar System. He did most of the work, but of course, his grandmother was also involved. One of the things which gave me pleasure, was he decided to "dig below the surface" a bit. Like, he was amazed about the number of moons that some of the planets have. He learned some by name. And then there is Earth - with only one moon, but what a moon it is!

Every time there is a total eclipse, this wonderful fact (or a mystery) which comes out. Unlike the other planets, some of whom have odd looking moons and eclipses are probably not that big of a deal, for many of us, an eclipse is a very big deal. Why? The "400 rule". It just so happens, that our sun is 400 times bigger than our Moon. And - the sun is 400 times further away from Earth than our Moon is. The result? During a total eclipse, the Moon perfectly blocks out the sun.

Now we might think that this is an amazing coincidence. Or - we could put this mystery in the same bucket with all the other wonderful things which makes Earth such a perfect home for us. Like what? The tilt of the Earth is 23.44 degrees. That tilt gives us our seasons. What would life be like on this planet without that tilt? Not as good, not at all.

Do all these perfect things which make our planet so wonderful - did they happen by accident? We are the most perfect "Goldilocks Planet" that you could imagine. We have lots of water, we can grow lots of food, many of our landscapes are breathtaking, and so forth. An occasional total eclipse is only frosting on the cake. An accident? A mystery? Or the providence of God. 

If you are going outside to look at the eclipse today, be it total or partial, this is a good thing. You are looking at the handywork of God. I saw the one in 2017. It was awesome. To me and many others, this was God. 

Sucker punched!

Many of us news junkies are up to speed in what is happening in NYC right now. For reasons I cannot explain, certain low life men are walking up to women and sucker punching them. In broad daylight! In a million years, I could not explain this one. All I know is this - when I was growing up, my dad taught me chivalry. How to treat a woman. If I had ever sucker punched any female, my dad might have beaten me within an inch of my life. And my dad never beat me.

But let's talk about a different kind of sucker punch. The kind Joe Biden did to us when he assumed office. Not only did he open our borders to millions of illegals from anywhere - since he took office, we have 1.5M "got aways". In other words, we have 1.5M illegals who we know NOTHING about. Is this dangerous? Here is the analogy.

A senior officer, in charge of an outpost in a war zone, decided to let anybody come into the compound. Like, whomever came in could be friendly, not friendly, or an enemy combatant. He did not know who people were, nor did he care. The chances of having enemies infiltrate the compound were excellent. That is exactly what Joe Biden has done to our country. This is nothing less than treasonous. 

How to put this into perspective? If only 1% of the 1.5M "got aways" are bad apples - terrorists - that would mean we have 15,000 bad actors in our country, just waiting to do us harm. What does Joe Biden say? It is the fault of Congress. Even though he signed almost 100 executive orders when he took office to reverse all of Trump's border policies. Just because Joe Biden has a visceral hatred for Trump, he did this. Now we have a huge mess on our hands.

Congress needs to step in and de-fund every penny that Biden is using to sour this country. Biden is not a king - he is a (maybe honestly) elected president. If we get hit by a terror attack due to some of the "got aways" this administration has let in to America, Biden and his entire band of misfits should be thrown in prison.

This is not the country I grew up in. This is 1984, Brave New World, and Hunger Games, all rolled into one dystopian mess. Joe Biden has been a one-man wrecking ball to the greatest country ever to exist on Planet Earth.    

Moving into tomorrow, preparing for yesterday

"For our society to survive, to thrive, we need a reclama. We need to make a 180 degree turn around in our thinking and doing. The world is changing faster than you can say "evil empire". The bad guys are in it to win it, and we better get our poop in a group - and fast! They want to beat us economically and militarily."

Did you hear the economic news? Once again, the jobs estimate exceeded the expectations. That is the good news. By the way, month after month, about 20% to 25% of those jobs created are government jobs. What is the bad news? Once again, we are training for yesterday - not tomorrow. And it is not just in civilian jobs - the Navy is guilty of it also.

I watched a YouTube when we got home yesterday. It had Elon Musk talking about AI. He has the right to talk about this, as some of his businesses are involved in it. His words - "I have never seen an industry evolve so fast, as AI is". And by the way - Musk is not the only one saying this. All of the new techno Captains of Industry are saying similar things. What does all this mean?

Quite simply this. Many of the jobs being created today are temp jobs. They will soon go away, replaced by some kind of automated robot, loaded with AI. This is not hyperbole or exaggeration - this is fact. And what is our broken education system doing to prep our young folks? Nada. We are training (or trying to) educate them for yesterday's world. In other words, we are training them for failure.

Another thing Musk said which was of interest, is about self-driving cars. According to Musk (and I will paraphrase), we are within inches of achieving them. Trucks will be first, and then passenger cars. It will not matter if they are ICE powered, fuel cell, or EV - many cars this decade will be self-driving. And who is going to make most of these new cars? If you guessed robotics loaded with AI, you win the prize.

Before I close, I need to say one word about our Navy. They are the poster child for preparing for yesterday. The backbone of our Navy is our super carriers. When deployed, they are in a strike force which are made up of some ships which are VLS/AEGIS capable. Great solution for the 1980's.

Here is the problem. The ships which protect our super carriers (the Destroyers and Cruisers which are VLS/AEGIS capable), have a fantastic array of missiles. They are accurate and deadly. But they are finite. Their missiles cannot be replenished at sea. So, in a fight with a bad guy, where the incoming threat is a swarm and and/or continuous, once the missiles are fully deployed, these magnificent ships are as vulnerable as an unarmed man in a gunfight. Therefore - so are our super carriers.

For our society to survive, to thrive, we need a reclama. We need to make a 180 degree turn around in our thinking and doing. The world is changing faster than you can say "evil empire". The bad guys are in it to win it, and we better get our poop in a group - and fast! They want to beat us economically and militarily. We need to think smart, out of the box, and quickly. Otherwise, we will be on the outside looking in - and soon. 

What am I really saying on a grass roots level? Forget the jobs report every month. It is meaningless. What matters is training our people for jobs which are just now being developed. Where do we start? Teaching our young people how to read. Teaching them basic math skills. Seems we have an issue with that right now. Remember this in November - if we can wait that long.     

So, what IS America thinking these days?

My wife and I just returned from an almost two-week trip down to Florida. We drove the entire way, as I love to see the great country we live in. When I was in the work a day world, I traveled a bunch, but most of what I saw were clouds from the top down. Now that I am retired, I love doing the hi-ways and bi-ways. Love chatting with the folks. 

What did I learn? In 2017, my wife and I went down to central Nebraska to see the totality of that eclipse. Was it worth it? The entire experience was surreal. Would I do it again? As much as I enjoyed it, probably not. I had my chance, as yesterday we were in Cape Girardeau, MS. That is one of the "100%" places to see the eclipse. But we declined.

In 2017, the eclipse event was a circus until after it was over. Then it was a nothing burger. This year's eclipse is supposed to be about a minute longer for the totality, and a better stretch to view it. How big a deal is this year's event going to be? Some of the governors of states which will have totality have declared an emergency. Why? Too many people expect to swarm on them. Give me a break...

But what is America really thinking? About politics? Please go with me on this one, as there is no embellishment. These were not the elite folks who live in "The City" (NYC), or the California snobs. These were hard working folks who build and define America. They don't go to fund raisers for Biden at $100,000 a ticket. They don't pay even more for that to see a couple of past users to the White House. No, for Donald Trump, they throw in $5, $10, $20, or maybe even $100, to get some sanity back into our country. And they hang their banners on their land. For all to see.

One final note. Pastor Jeffers was on TV Easter morning. He was asked about Biden signing a proclamation making 3/31/2024 a "Trans Visibility Day". The pastor, who was very upset rarely gets political, said this - "We need Donald Trump in the While House as he understands our faith, as Biden does not.'" Enough said? This is what America is thinking these days.
