We ended up 2024 with unknown drones, a proliferation of unidentified "somethings" in the skies, and an unexplained and mysterious fog over much of the country. Basically, we were all happy to send 2024 out the door, packing. But then when the New Year was barely hours old, our first terror attack happened in a long time. Done by an individual (or individuals) for some wacky purpose. To support ISIS or something. In any event, after a truck drove all the way from Texas, it plowed into a group of people on Bourbon Street, just trying to welcome the New Year in. It was carnage and mayhem.
What a crappy way to start the year! But it really should come as no surprise. In the waning hours of the Biden Administration, the country remains on "auto pilot". Wide open borders, lax law enforcement, corruption up to the gills of Washington itself - so much so that the events in New Orleans were almost inevitable. We voted Donald Trump in to put an end to this "auto pilot" nonsense but could not get him sworn in fast enough. In other words, we have a new sheriff, but the new sheriff is not yet in town.
After the 9/11 attack, the country knew it had an Achillies heel. A soft spot for the bad guys to exploit. So, we established the Department of Homeland Security. Seemed like something whose time not only had come but was long overdue. This worked well for a while, until it did not. Then under the non-leadership of Mayorkas, the DHS became nothing more than a place holder. A nothing burger. To have DHS be in charge of open borders, was like putting Attila the Hun in charge of the girl's locker room. Like I said - under Joe Biden, this type of attack was almost inevitable. Even the outgoing FBI Chief testified under Congress "he had never seen the red warning lights flash so brightly."

LAW AND ORDER will be restored. Borders will be controlled. Criminals will be punished instead of coddled. The idea of being safe in your own backyard will once again be the norm. But like I said - the course correction will be sudden and effective. It will be full stop on what was, and full speed ahead on what is to be (oh my gosh - that almost sounded like Kamala!)
Today, Biden is going to bestow medals on the J6 committee. Why? Who knows. In about a month, this group of perps who made up this kangaroo court of misfits will be in legal trouble up to their eyeballs. Why? Destroying evidence from these J6 trials. Evidence which would have showed these trials were all a sham. But again, we need the new sheriff in town with a new Congress. Then we can clean up the mess that is still there in aisle Biden.
Tomorrow the new Congress is sworn in. Time to get to work. Time to clean things up. Time to drop kick Mayorkas so far out of DC, he is never heard from again. The winds of change are starting to blow. Let's enjoy them. We sure deserve them.
