The Trump Doctrine

"Well, that is it folks. The Trump Doctrine. I love it. I hope future Presidents also use it. Somehow, even with a hateful Congress, the President will make it work. Why? He knows his number one task is keeping America safe. And he will."

Well, ladies and gentlemen - for those who were paying attention so far during this young year, have seen history revealed itself once again. We had a chance to see what the Trump Doctrine is. When he was elected, he made it quite clear that getting involved in nation building, or fighting in endless wars, was not his thing. Except nation building. Only for this nation, that is. Other than that, he took this thorny issue he got handed from Obama (that be North Korea), and tried a different highway with Chairman Kim. Did that work? Not yet. But, time will tell.

Let's look at the last three Presidents, concerning their doctrines. First the Bush (43) Doctrine. He was handed a mess shortly after he took office. That would be 9/11. So his plans for his first term changed considerably. He had to become a war fighter, and fast. So the Bush Doctrine became unilateralism and the use of preventive war (per Wiki). And if I might add - the Left hated it, and hated him for it. They hated Bush more than they hated Al Qaeda.

The Obama Doctrine. Anyone care to fill in the blanks? I did a search on his doctrine and found zip. So, I will come up with some. I would use global citizen (over American citizen), and appeaser. What he and Kerry did with Iran shortly before he left office was nothing less than appeasement. But that is the way he rolled. Mr. "lead from behind" Obama. Other than killing a few hundred bad guys via our drone system - during his administration, the Russians, the Chinese, and the Iranians all went to town. And those are just the nations which did. ISIS also went to town. When the sheriff dozes off, the bad guys like to ransack the banks in town.

Now the fun one. The Trump Doctrine. It should have been a doctrine decades ago. If a nation state sponsors terrorism, either directly or through a proxy, and through the actions of that nation state, if any American is killed or wounded, the United States will unleash hell on that nation state. It is so simple, that even a terrorist can understand it. Don't believe it? Ask General Soleimani (or what is left of him).

President Trump has been quite clear on this issue. Using our intel, our eyes in the sky, our military, when a terror event happens, it will take next to nothing to find out who is responsible. And once we find out, bad things will happen to that nation state - immediately. Trump's idea of a war like response is quick and deadly. The new definition of "shock and awe".

Will any bad guys test this new sheriff with his new doctrine? I think we can count on it. The President has said many times (said it again yesterday), we have the finest military in the world, but he would prefer not using it. However, if he has to use it, he will unleash hell on the bad guy(s).

BTW - Nancy Pelosi and some of the traitors in Congress, the ones who always side with the bad guys, are trying to handcuff the President from protecting this country. To neuter his ability to execute this new doctrine. Why? You will have to ask Ms. Nancy. Most of us think like patriots, not traitors.

Well, that is it folks. The Trump Doctrine. I love it. I hope future Presidents also use it. Somehow, even with a hateful Congress, the President will make it work. Why? He knows his number one task is keeping America safe. And he will.
