"But what about Kamala? Is she not in the mix? Who? Who is Kamala? I guess she has already faded off into a bad memory. In fact, after how she blew through $1.5B on a horrible campaign, she is toxic. Jill can't stand her, and Biden forgot who she is."
When Bill Clinton ran for office, he referred to his wife Hilary sometimes as his "co-president". "If you elect me, you will get two for the price of one", Clinton joked. Most would get the joke - but Hillary did not. She thought her husband was serious.
Then when Obama ran for office, he would always talk about how smart Michele was, and how she could help him figure out the correct policies. That was a slap in the face to Biden, but even back then, I don't think Obama believed Old Joe was that sharp. So, just like in the days of Clinton, we had a husband and wife being "co-presidents".
But right now, this takes the cake. We once again have "co-presidents". Trump and Biden. Maybe that is not really true. Maybe it is more than just having two presidents right now. Maybe we have a dozen or so, as NOBODY really seems to know who is running the country. Our friends and allies overseas believe it is Trump. He is after all, acting like a president. But who is advising Biden behind closed doors? It could be a gaggle of folks, most of which are progressives and socialists.
But what about Kamala? Is she not in the mix? Who? Who is Kamala? I guess she has already faded off into a bad memory. In fact, after how she blew through $1.5B on a horrible campaign, she is toxic. Jill can't stand her, and Biden forgot who she is. She might as well go home to California and get ready to run for governor.
This latest CR is an odd example on how things are working right now. A loaded-up bill was prepared to be voted on and signed. The kind of bill that Biden loves. Then Trump and Musk spoke up. Said the bill was garbage, and any Republican who voted for it deserved to be primaried. Next came a simple and much smaller bill which was acceptable to Trump. It was voted on and passed the House, passed the Senate, and then sent to the other president for signature. Strange times? The strangest.
Some think that Biden is "quite quitting". Others think Biden does not know if it is Tuesday or Thursday. What do the citizens think? 29 days to go until January 20th and we can whittle down to one president again. Now if we can just keep our enemies at bay for those 29 days...
