Did SCOTUS get it right this time?

"SCOTUS also ruled in favor of parents who don't want their kids looking at kiddie porn in the school library, disguised as LGBTQIA+ (or whatever) material. For parents of faith, this was YUGE! It is about time the worm has turned on that issue!"

Even though there was a bit of a cat fight between Amy Coney Barrett and Ketanji Jackson once the opinion was read, the SCOTUS ruling 6-3 ruling on district judges was long overdue. I mean, this was nuts. Every time Donald Trump would issue an executive order, some liberal district judge would issue a stay which would affect the entire country. It was the next stage of lawfare. And most honest legal scholars thought this was just plain wrong. It gave the judiciary powers which they were never intended to have.

But wait - what about birthright citizenship? Does this ruling also satisfy that issue also? Probably not, although until October when the next SOCTUS session starts, the resolution of this issue is as clear as mud.

The entire reason we have executive orders is Congress. Congress? Why? They move at the pace of a snail on crutches. In fact, to be truthful, Congress wants to be more involved in the war powers issue. Now that we have Trump as president, Democrats who always turned a blind eye to Obama, Clinton and Biden, want Trump handcuffed on ANY military action. Two problems however: Problem One - the snail on crutches problem. It would take FOREVER for Congress to come to any resolution. By that time, the war would be over, and we would have lost.

Problem Two - Congress leaks like a sieve. Operational Security (something of which many of us who have served know much about), is only a word with no merit to many Democrats. Leaking some intel to a friend in the dishonest media is considered to be fair play. But it is not. In reality, it is treasonous. Plain and simple - treason.

In any event, now that SCOTUS has ruled against the district judges, Team Trump could go about getting all if its executive orders untangled. Oh, and by the way, SCOTUS also ruled in favor of parents who don't want their kids looking at kiddie porn in the school library, disguised as LGBTQIA+ (or whatever) material. For parents of faith, this was YUGE! It is about time the worm has turned on that issue!

Now SCOTUS, enjoy your summer vacation. For a change, you have earned it.
