The odyssey and oddity of the American voter

"Remember this. If Kamala Harris wins this election, it is not because she deserves it. She will be a horrible president - worse than Joe Biden. Will Donald Trump lose? Nope - he has already been president and did a fine job at it."

I have said this before, but it bears repeating. America is full of uniformed and underinformed voters who vote for the craziest reasons. In 2020, Trump had more votes than he did in 2016. But enough voters on the other side couldn't stand him, that they voted for a guy who was ready for Cozy Acres Nursing Home instead of the White House. Even though we were at peace, the economy was humming, inflation was low, and the border secure - the voters still picked Grandpa Biden instead of Donald Trump. The rest is history.

Yesterday on the news I heard something totally amazing. After four years of Biden/Harris, with prices up 20% on many items, with the world being on the edge of WW III, and a zillion or so illegal aliens running all over the place, many uninformed voters will vote for Harris over Trump. They will vote for more of the same, rather than some guy who can fix many of the broken things in this country. But here is the most interesting thing.

Kamala stands for nothing except words and word salad. Her platforms? "I was born middle class" or "I was a prosecutor". What will her programs look like? No idea. She refuses to do a presser with some real Q +A from real reporters. Man, oh man! If she can just keep that up for 40 days or so, she could actually win! 

Do I blame Kamala Harris for being so inept? Not a bit. She is what she is. I do, however, blame the legions of Yellow Dogs, and voters who should not be allowed to vote. Voting is a privilege in this country. It always has been. To vote for somebody just because "he or she is not the other guy", beyond voter malpractice. It is madness. 

Remember this. If Kamala Harris wins this election, it is not because she deserves it. She will be a horrible president - worse than Joe Biden. Will Donald Trump lose? Nope - he has already been president and did a fine job at it. Who then, will the losers be should Kamala win? The normal folks, who are stuck in a country with countless idiots who vote. Who vote for all the wrong reasons. That - is the odyssey and oddity of the American voter.
