Time to say good-bye? Maybe good riddance?

Gasp! Please tell me it is not true! The United Nations, the zit in NYC, is running out of other people's money! In fact, according to the statist who heads up this bloated and useless organization, if more money (and lots of it) does not come in by July, the UN might have to shutter the doors and windows and close up shop. But wait! If we don't have the UN to step in and stop wars, who would it be? Seems like Donald Trump is doing that job, and the UN is not.

I remember back in the old days when the UN really acted like its charter. Well, sort of. The UN would send in the blue helmeted soldiers to help broker a peace and stop a war from spreading. Well - that did not last long. The organization, which was started from the ashes of both World War II and the League of Nations had a great charter. It was truly going to be the savior of humanity. No more world wars, no more ground wars in Europe. Whoops - forgot about Ukraine. We can see how effective the UN was in getting Russia kicked out of Ukraine.

And what about China? What if they invade a sovereign country like Taiwan? I know, I know - the UN will do nothing. Not even write a nasty letter. In fact, the UN has become so feckless, that their cause celeb now is climate. Even with that, the world's greatest climate polluter is China. And what has the UN done to fix that? Again, nada.

One might be moved to ask the very difficult question of Secretary- General Antonio Guterres - what in the Sam Hill does the UN do these days? I know that Trump (unlike Biden) has been pulling US money out of the UN where it appears to be nothing more than a money pit. Of course, the UN is now blaming US for their financial woes. Keep in mind, many other countries are behind in their dues. Maybe they too, are getting some "buyer's remorse" on this POS organization.

One more thing. Tens of thousands of Iranian civilians have been mowed down by their government while protesting. The UN has done NOTHING to stop it. I guess the US will again have to be the world's cop and go in and teach the Mullahs a lesson. The Saudis have told Rubio do it sooner than later. We warned the Mullahs - FAFO. I guess it might be time to find out.
