What we voted for, what we got...

Here is a real "Duh" for a Sunday morning. Do you think what is being spun out of Washington right now is what most people voted for? Here is my opinion - heck no! So what did most people vote for then? Sadly, many votes were a vote against, rather than a vote for. Donald Trump so riled so many Democrats, Independents, and even squishy Republicans, they overlooked his accomplishments, and just wanted him gone. Others thought we needed a more "seasoned" politician in the White House. Who then, is the person who has served in Washington since he had zits? Uncle Joe. He would give us the gravitas back we so sorely needed. 

Most people wanted nothing to do with Bernie Sanders, the Squad, or the rest of the socialists. Clear thinking people thought this bunch were nothing but nut balls. Most would have preferred this group be kept 500 miles from the White House. Their politics were immature, expensive, and reckless. Uncle Joe on the other hand, would offer a steady hand on the rudder steering our ship of state. Boy were we wrong on that one!

What did we get? What did the voters get? And old man, who has never worked a day in his life, who hid in his basement during the campaign, and somehow has morphed into Bernie Sanders. We just passed out of the House, a billed called Infrastructure, but in reality is the New Green Deal the Squad was pushing. 

We have this crazy new scheme to get our country to be part of the Great Reset. In the on-deck circle of Congress right now, is Biden's Build, Back Better bill. What is that? In short, it is a bill to transform America from greatness to gutlessness. From an economy predicated upon "building a better mousetrap", to one where hard work is only an option. It would turn our government into a true "nanny state", where you will be coddled from cradle to grave. If this thing passes, and the country is reset, I don't know if we can ever un-screw this thing. Ever.

After the Build, Back Better bill is signed into law, will Biden then be done with wrecking our fine country? Nope. Next will come what is known as the "China Bill". Huh? On the Hill, it will be called The United States Innovation and Competition Act. It is felt that we can no longer compete with China. So, as the old saying goes - if you can't beat them - join them. This bill will further change our economy to look like the ChiCom economy. Oh, joy.

Ladies and gentlemen - is this really what you voted for? Is this what you want? Soon under the Great Reset, you will own nothing, and everyone will own everything. All controlled by a centralized government. Hmm - where have I heard of that before? Maybe Karl Marx? This country, without a shot being fired, could end up being the next Cuba or Venezuela.

What can we do? Keep writing to your Congressmen and women as well as your Senators. This Build, Back Better bill needs to die on the vine. It can never see the light of day. We can maybe survive all the fluff in the Infrastructure bill, but not one ounce of the Build, Back, Better bill. 

Next, remember that 2022 is right around the corner. WE NEED TO TAKE BACK THE HOUSE AND SENATE. In 2024, we need to take back the White House. Failure is not an option. We are on the precipice of disaster, with the Sword of Damocles hanging over our necks. This is not hyperbole - this is fact.    

In the middle of the night (again)

"Next up - the huge bill, now rebranded as Biden's 'Build, Back Better' pile of goo. Even though over a dozen House Republicans voted for the Infrastructure Bill, we are hoping against hope that none of them get weak knees and round heels on this one."

It is Saturday morning. A good time to get in the "way back machine", and and take a journey into the past. November 7, 2009. ObamaCare passed the House with some trickery of Ms. Nancy. Nobody really knew what was in the bill, as the puts and takes continued right up until the vote. Remember the famous line? "We need to pass the bill so we know what is in it?" Blah, blah, blah. Once the Senate passed the House version (thank you Al Franken), Obama signed it early in 2010, and we were stuck with ObamaCare forever.

Then there was Obama's version of the infrastructure bill. His famous (now infamous) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, better known as the "Stimulus Bill". Another huge bill passed in the middle of the night. This bill, which was sold as a "shovel ready" work bill, did nothing. It was a bloated pile of special interest goo. Even Obama admitted in later years, "I guess some of the shovel ready projects were not ready for the shovel." Very funny Barry. That bill, plus ObamaCare, started the big spending spree of your Administration.

Last night, the Biden version of an expensive boondoggle passed the House. Did I say it passed in the middle of the night? It had already passed the Senate, so it is ready for Slo Joe to sign. What is it? The long awaited "Infrastructure Bill". Okay - so there is not much infrastructure in it - so what? The point is, it gave Brandon a huge win. Win? Why? For the symbolism. Most who have been paying attention, know this bill is really the Green New Deal bill, all dressed up, to look like infrastructure.

I said this when the American Recover and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed. I will say it again now. The most critical piece of infrastructure we have, which is in desperate need of updating - is our power grid. Just yesterday, a headline flashed across one of my news feeds. Jenifer Granholm, our "energy guru", admitted something shocking on a news show the other day. She said hackers, are now able to take down our frail electric grid. What does that mean? While we get all green and cuddly with ourselves, basking in the afterglow of the Infrastructure Bill, we continue to live on the edge of disaster.

Next up - the huge bill, now rebranded as Biden's Build, Back Better pile of goo. Even though over a dozen House Republicans voted for the Infrastructure Bill, we are hoping against hope that none of them get weak knees and round heels on this one. And the Senate is critical. ALL Republicans must vote "no", as well as Manchin and Sinema. If somehow that bill passes, we are all cooked. Not cooked by the climate - cooked by drowning in a sea of debt. Debt which bought us NOTHING.    

Virginia's Red Wave

"We can do better Minnesota! How much better? The template is right there in from of us. It is called Virginia. Let's be like Virginia. The recipe is there. We deserve so much better." 

Now that the dust has settled a bit, what happened in Virginia was a real show stopper for the Democrats. This was the true "red wave", which was supposed to have hit Minnesota in 2018, but never showed up. How and why this "red wave" hit Virginia and not Minnesota, speaks volumes about both states. Like, the good people of Minnesota just keep voting for bad government, year, after year, after year. Why? You tell me.

But the folks in Virginia might be a bit brighter and more astute than the folks in Minnesota. Virginia, which at one time was a red state, decided to take a walk on the wild side with the Democrats. They had Terry (Clinton's Buddy) McAuliffe for Governor. They had Ralph (Black Face) Northam for Governor. And they had a Democrat led House. That all mixed together to be a witches brew for authoritarianism. And on Tuesday, the people of Virginia said in a very loud voice, "take your tyranny, and shove it!"

I will have to admit, I am now looking at Virginia with envy and amazement. This was a total repudiation of all the crapola the Squad and their socialist buddies have been slinging as of late. Some of this slew, was just either ignored or accepted by the citizens of Virginia. But - screw with their kids education, and that was a bridge too far. Again, in Minnesota, we have allowed many of our metro schools to be turned into failure factories. We just accept it. For decades. Many worship at the feet of Education Minnesota. But in Virginia, CRT became the lightening bolt. Then, when that father's little girl was raped in a girl's bathroom by an older boy wearing a dress - the "ship hit the fan". 

It was a wholesale housecleaning in Virginia. The statists thought it would be fine to poke the Mama Bears and Pappa Bears. They will just take it. They thought wrong. Now the Republicans control the state. It is theirs to govern the right way, or the wrong way. My feeling is the people of Virginia will not tolerate any more nonsense. From now on, governance will be a one strike ballgame. If the Republicans screw this up, they won't be around for long. But if they govern the way they promise, Virginia could be red for a long, long time.

Hey Minnesota - take notice! We don't have to put up with dolts running (ruining) our state. We have a chance to elect a real Governor, not re-elect a carpet bagger from Nebraska. We have the chance to take back the Minnesota House and keep the Senate. We have the chance to have a real SOS, and not some shill from Soros incorporated. We have the chance for a real AG, and not some shady dude from Detroit. 

We can do better Minnesota! How much better? The template is right there in from of us. It is called Virginia. Let's be like Virginia. The recipe is there. We deserve so much better. 

Brandon's Build, Back Better Ballyhoo!

"Welcome to the bifurcated Democrat/socialist party of 2021. It is the gift which keeps on giving to the Republicans. The Republicans, are becoming a juggernaut, and resurgent party. The only thing stopping the Republicans from seizing power in 2022, is - themselves."

One would think, wouldn't one, that after the shellacking the Democrats took in Virginia, and the almost shellacking they took in New Jersey, even the most clueless could have read the message being sent? Well, cluelessness is in the air over at the DNC, in the House, and in the White House. With the passage of Brandon's "Build, Back Better" pile of goo legislation hanging by less than a thread, Ms. Nancy, who is usually always clueless, decided to add back in the family and medical leave provision. This was wisely taken out earlier, as the Democrats were trying to get this 600 pounds of fat and nonsense, on a diet.

One might ask - "why"? This bill now has less chance than a Hail Mary pass in a football game. At least with a Hail Mary pass, there is a small chance of success. Why in the world would Ms. Nancy put another entitlement back in this monster bill, when it has no chance to pass the Senate? Because - she is who she is. She wants a vote on this in the House, take the small victory she should get, and tell Chucky it is all his right now. She will have washed her hands of this mess, and laid that stinky turd on Chuck Schumer's desk. 

Brandon is home now, after bringing 800 people over the pond to attend the COP 26 Conference. This is beyond hypocrisy. Lots and lots and lots of carbon being put into the atmosphere by all those private jets. But who cares. One of the motto's of this Administration, is "That is for thee, not for me". After the bathroom thing with the Pope, and napping during the "riveting" COP 26 conference, it is time for Brandon to focus on his signature legislation.

Pelosi putting these items back into this bloated bill was a poke in the eye to Joe Manchin. Maybe also to Kristen Sinema. Maybe also to other Senators who are up for re-election in 2022. It will be interesting to watch, once the House passes this bill, to see Schumer and Biden squirm like bugs in a frying pan, trying to convince all blue hands in the Senate to vote "aye". If I were a betting man, I would bet the house on this bill going down in flames in the Senate. Heck, we might even see Schumer cry again!

Hey! Did we all just "woke" up?

"What is the message from last night? Over-reach. The socialists have played out their hands, and then over-played them. The American people don't want Biden's bs "Human Infrastructure" bill. They don't want their kids learning that they are either oppressors or victims."

What a night, last night! The stars were aligned, everything was ready for an earthquake type of event. First off, Clinton's little errand boy, Terry McAuliffe, was in big trouble in the polls. Some upstart businessman from out of nowhere, might give the former Governor some problems. No biggie - McAuliffe would just call in the big guns. Obama, Biden, Stacy Abrams, Cory Booker, and at the last minute, the head of the National Teachers Association. All because this Glenn Youngkin guy, stole one of the Democrat's prized issues - education. The nerve of this guy!

But in the end, all the star power in the world could not help Terry McAuliffe win. Why? Momma Bears and Papa Bears. Parents who had it up to their gills with CRT, sex ed, and all the other crapola which was being fed to their kids in Virginia government schools. Then, when the very odd AG, referred to parents as "domestic terrorists" for objecting to what was taught, and then the AG threatened to sig the FBI on them, that was a bridge, way, way too far. Goodbye Terry - hello Glenn.

By the way, the election in New Jersey, which was suppose to be a cake walk for Phil Murphy has turned out to be a real dog fight. This morning, with 90% of the vote counted, Republican Jack Ciattarelli holds a very slim lead. The pundits think that Murphy might still squeak this one out in the last inning, but what a shot across the bow! Registered Democrats far outnumber registered Republicans in New Jersey. 

BTW - did you know the Atlanta Braves, the team who was punished for nothing by the commish of the MLB, punished by not hosting the All Star game, won the World Series last night. For those who believe in karma, this was Exhibit "A" - live and in color! The commish can take his "woke" bs, and head back into the dugout.

Back home, this goofy idea of getting rid of the cops in Minneapolis went down in flames. Big time. Some of the goofy clowns from the City Council, who supported this idea, also went down. There is now a glimmer of hope that Minneapolis might not be so unlivable in the future. If we can just get the police numbers up, and let them start enforcing the law, that will be a good thing. But one step at a time...

Finally, the normal guy we supported, who was running for the local school board - won. He won, and won big. He beat the guy who was supported by the teacher's union. The teacher's union, who is now very toxic. The kiss of death.

The frosting on the cake (even though it happened a couple days ago), was Joe Manchin putting a dagger in Biden's "Human Infrastructure" bill. Will that dagger be fatal to this pile of rubbish, which cost trillions of dollars we don't have? Hope so. But stay tuned. 

What is the message from last night? Over-reach. The socialists have played out their hands, and then over-played them. The American people don't want Biden's bs "Human Infrastructure" bill. They don't want their kids learning that they are either oppressors or victims. They don't want confiscatory taxes, which erodes their take home pay. And they DON'T WANT ANY MORE AUTHORITARIANISM! NO MORE TYRANNY!

What did happen last night? We all "woke" up. There was a resounding "shot across the bow", as a taste of what is to come in 2022 and 2024. Gear up folks - the fun is only starting. 

 

Is Joe all show? Or is he a "no go"?

"It will be interesting to see how Slo Joe reacts once he is back in the states. Will he have Manchin over to the White House to bribe him? To threaten him? To beg him?" 

Yesterday, in the midst of hearing about our President having a bathroom emergency while meeting with the Pope, and then going nappy nap while at the COP 26 meeting, we were enlightened by a moment of absolute clarity. Really? By whom? By Joe - not Joe the "nappy and crappy" - Joe Manchin. Joe Manchin, whom along with Kristen Sinema, seem to be holding all the trump cards in a game with a very large pot of cash.

Some think that Joe Manchin is nothing more than a kingmaker, and he is now making himself a king. Others think that Manchin is nothing more than a human anachronism. A throwback Democrat, when Democrats had a lick of common sense. When I heard his presser yesterday, I almost had tears of joy running down my cheeks. Manchin really wants to know what is in this "Human Infrastructure" bill, and how much it will really cost. And why are we doing this, initiating more entitlements, when our current entitlements are on financial life support. 

Unless one Republican gets round heels, and agrees to support this "Human Infrastructure" bill, Manchin might have just delivered a dagger in the heart to the President's dream bill. Not sad about that one. Not a bit. I know the Squad as well as the rest of the socialists hope that a piano falls on Manchin's head, but the damage has already been done. Manchin spoke truth. Truth to power. And sometimes, the truth hurts. 

I continue to have my fingers and my toes crossed that either Manchin or Sinema (or both) decide to change parties. That would put an end to this reign of terror, that Biden has unleashed on our country. It would bring part of what is expected in 2023, into the Senate right now. It would neuter all the crap Ms. Nancy comes up with in the House. Biden would then go back to being a total figurehead. He could stay in the White House, close to his bathroom and bed. Life will go back to being semi-normal.

It will be interesting to see how Slo Joe reacts once he is back in the states. Will he have Manchin over to the White House to bribe him? To threaten him? To beg him? If I were Manchin, I would look Biden square in those squinty little eyes and say, "Back off Mr. President - I am about an inch away from changing parties right now." That would shock Biden so much, he might truly have yet another bathroom emergency.

On another subject, today is election day in Minneapolis. The day the good citizens might vote to get rid of the cops. BTW - did you know yesterday, there were six carjacking events in just two hours? Can't wait to see how this town looks when there are no cops. Just saying... 

   

 

"Mean Tweeter" - we need you now more than ever!

"We have kids and neophytes trying to solve real adult problems. And our President is over in Europe promising everything to everyone. But at least the Pope told Slo Joe he was a 'good Catholic'. Maybe as good of a Catholic as he is a President."    

Somebody posted what life was like one year ago. The inflation (or lack thereof), the price of gasoline, the price of natural gas, the War in Afghanistan, the southern border, and so forth. Comparing our landscape from a year ago to today, is like being sucked into a wormhole and being deposited in another dimension. Nothing today, looks like it did a year ago. Absolutely nothing. 

My wife and I were watching a faith based show, when a commercial came on to promote the Abraham Accord. Many have already forgotten about this most monumental achievement. But Israel and the Middle East have not. When Trump was President, he not only got the embassy moved to Jerusalem (as had been promised for decades), but Trump and his son-in-law also brokered FOUR separate peace agreement between Israel and four different Arab countries! This was huge! History will smile upon Donald Trump, just for what he accomplished in the Israel and the Middle East alone.

If Donald Trump were still our President, he would be all over the supply chain issue. He would work it day and night until he saw some permanent relief. The price of gas might have been a bit higher due to inflation, but the supply of it would be fine. Same with natural gas. Inflation on food would have been less, as the fuel to produce our food would have cost less. We would be out of Afghanistan - really out. Our equipment, our troops, our Americans, the Afghan people who helped us. Everybody would be out.

The impending invasion of thousands of illegals would probably not be coming. Why? The illegals would not feel they had an "invitation", like they do with Biden. If there were a large caravan coming in, Trump would have had a robust level of Border Control officers ready to greet them. And not with hearts and flowers. Rather with cuffs, and zip ties. 

Our country would be much, much different if we had that old "mean tweeter", Donald Trump, back as our President right now. Can we somehow get him back? Before it is too late? Can we get a signal like they use in the Batman series? Something in the sky, which would get Trump's attention? 

BTW - ever since Slo Joe said he got the Long Beach port "fixed" by having them open 24 X 7, things have only gotten worse. More and more container ships are sitting around, eating a hotdog off that very busy SoCal coast. Plus (and this is the big problem), last weekend 2,000 calls for trucks went unanswered this weekend. 2,000! Even if a container ship gets unloaded, the cargo just sits on the dock. 

Now the Administration thinks our supply chain issue might last for another year. WHAT??? That is unacceptable! Of course, Pete Butt was on a Sunday morning show, and blamed this entire thing on the pandemic. Might as well blame climate change while he is at it. 

We have kids and neophytes trying to solve real adult problems. And our President is over in Europe promising everything to everyone. But at least the Pope told Slo Joe he was a "good Catholic". Maybe he is as good of a Catholic as he is a President.
