Why we can't dance anymore

"Is there hope for our future, or will we end up living in a house divided from now until Jesus returns. I don't know. I would like to give some words of encouragement, but just turning on the news these days, would belie any truth to those words."

Ever notice how as a country, we seem to have lost the ability to do anything together? Where consensus is only a term, not a reality. Not too long ago, we may not have been in step with each other but could still manage to dance together. These days? It is like one side only knows how to ballroom dance, and the other side only knows line dancing. Trying to put those two together is tantamount to mixing oil and water.

What is the most obvious example of this inability to dance together, is the difference in the past few administrations. Donald Trump, POTUS 45, tried to right the ship of state after the Obama years. We were racially divided and messy. When Trump was sworn in, the Hillary people and the Obama people set out to sink Trump's presidency. Not help it - hurt it. Anything and everything to ruin it. Then after Trump's term was up, came the very mysterious election where Joe Biden won, and reversed EVERYTHING that Donald Trump did. All of a sudden, with Biden and his very garish cabinet in charge, the United States looked more like a DEI infested, woke mandated, Zootopia.

Now that Donald Trump is president again as POTUS 47, the haters have come out of the woodwork yet again. Why? Donald Trump wants to dissect every inch of the federal government and find out who was behind the "steal". The graft. Plus, to find out why we are not getting a better and bigger bang for the buck. Will the Democrats help in this? Absolutely not! They are going to every left judge they can find. But why won't they help? Because they are the line dancers, and the Trump people are the ball room dancers. Never the two shall meet, nor shall they agree.

This is the 5,000th post on my blog. I would have loved to pen something much more positive about our country, but I could not in good conscious. Of the thirteen years I have been doing these posts, some have been about faith, some science, some military, and many others involved politics. This will end up being a political one. Why? Because it must.

Those who love Trump, these are the days of wine and roses. For those who hate Trump, these are the days of oligarchs and dictators. Bottom line? We hate each other. It is getting worse all the time. Congress is a mess, as the "shirts and skins" almost come to blows every day, in every meeting.

Is there hope for our future, or will we end up living in a house divided from now until Jesus returns. I don't know. I would like to give some words of encouragement, but just turning on the news these days, would belie any truth to those words.

Tomorrow I will pen my 5001st post. I will try to be truthful and accurate. But as in the past, and will be in the future, I am mostly an opinion writer. I call balls and strikes as I see them - maybe not as some others might see them.

Going forward, I, like most of the readers on this blog, will continue to soldier on. Hoping for the best while planning for the worst - we will all soldier on. May God bless us all.
