I wish the American public was wired a bit differently on one thing. I would like to have them look at the calendar and not their watches. Why? Looking at their watches every five minutes makes them VERY impatient. Why do I say that? The funny story Trump tells from time to time is about eggs. He had been in office for about a week, and the press corps was asking him when the price of eggs were coming down. It would have been humorous if press had been joking. But they were serious. Trump reminded them he had only been in office for a week, but the press did not care - this was Trump's fault.
Trump was not responsible for the temporary increase and shortage of eggs. But I will tell you what he IS responsible for. Re-balancing world trade by the use of tariffs. Onshoring many items which have been made in China. Coming up with a new trade agreement with China. All of which are moving forward right now but will take time. Not minutes, but months - maybe years.
If Americans could quit looking at their watches for a minute, let me share some good news. Donald Trump has a plan. He has a staff who shares that plan. After decades of having China be our trade master, by allowing them to make our stuff and steal our IP, those days are coming to an end. But this will take time. Even though some major things are happening right now, the decoupling from China is a calendar issue, not a watch issue. But - by the time Trump's term is up, our trade landscape will look much, much different.
I know many of the globalists out there think I am full of nincompoop when I say this. I don't really care. Some even think if we have Americans making stuff for Americans, it will cost too much. We should continue using slave labor (and paying slave labor wages) from tyrannical governments overseas. I reject and renounce that way of thinking. To onshore items, which would give more employment opportunities to Americans, to help our national security, is first and paramount to me. Full stop - end of story.

I want the good people who live in China to live a good life - without the chains of their government on them. Will our decoupling hurt the people of China? Unfortunately, yes. But we can't help that. America must come first. Period.
This is my first article after hitting a million views. This is all I will say on that matter. Other than thank you, for all who have put up with my rants, raves, and occasional wisdom. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my posts - but the ones who live overseas, in areas where freedom is not known as it is here, I appreciate you the most. Why? As an American, as a patriot, it is my pleasure to spread the good news about this wonderful land of liberty and freedom. It is the least I could do.
