Feet stuck in the tar

How are things going these days? Good, bad or indifferent. We have dozens of tariff negotiations ongoing, but no "seal the deal" as of yet. But what have we really found out so far, just less than 100 days into Trump 47? We found out that Joe Biden and the lefties have really screwed things up - really bad. Lawfare has jumped from the DOJ under Biden, to Democrat appointed District Judges under Trump. The greenies stand ready to legally block our initiates to resurrect the coal industry. Nukes might have the same issue. Trump might be willing to go 100 mph, but the Loonie left has made the road to be traveled sticky and icky.

I am reminded of that old saying - "I would like to move forward or move on, but I seem to have at least one foot stuck in the tar." The "resistance" movement is doing everything possible to keep our country in the back seat rather than letting us soar. Example? The tariff issue. If the left truly had our best interest at heart, they would know what Trump is doing is long overdue. Heck, even some of the Democrat leaders are captured on tape from years ago talking about how damaging uneven trade is to our country. But now that Trump is in charge, they will fight tooth and nail to have the tariff fix fail. Why? Beats me.

When Clinton, Bush (43) and Obama were in the White House, illegal immigrants were deported by the millions. Trump has only gotten rid of 100,000 so far in this term, and the Democrats have lawsuits flying all over the place. Somebody said to have each case of an illegal be tried as a "stand alone" hearing, it would take decades to get rid of all these border jumpers. Again, this is like trying to move forward with one foot stuck in the tar.

With this hero worship of the "Maryland Man" who is really a MS-13 gang member, a new saying from the right has been hatched. The MD Senator who flew down to El Salvador to try and bring this illegal gang member back to the states, also said nothing to Rachel Morin's mother about the death of Rachel. As we know, she was killed by another illegal. The new saying from the right is "We are not the same." True words. The way we are wired and the way the loony left is wired are NOT the same. Not even close. We care for the victims; they care for the perps. 

Just as he did when he was POTUS 45, Donald Trump will fight against the headwinds that the left constantly throws up at him. I thought that having the House and Senate as well as the White House, things could move smoother. But the Democrats know how to weaponize our legal system. Lawfare, once again. And so long as we have lawfare of any kind, our feet will always be stuck in the tar as we try and move this country forward.
