Here we go again friends. The man who would be king (or at least thought so), is getting ready to govern by executive fiat. The man who taught Constitutional Law has so much animus towards our founding document, that he will do anything to find a way around it. A man who won the last election by only 3 million votes is searching for a mandate from a country which is still geographically 90% "red".

As the old saying goes, now that the election is over this man is filled with "piss and vinegar". Heck, we have not even had the inauguration and he is  already corrupting the system like a house-a-fire. It reminds me of this first term when he just could not wait to get into office and fix everything that poor old "W" had goofed up. He even came up with a name for himself - President Elect Barrack Obama. He held pressers and had a plaque made up with his new, assumed title. While most presidents elect quietly appoint staff positions, pick out curtains and get cabinet nominees ready, our new leader had already assumed power long before his hand touched the Bible.

Of all the things he did in his first term that were "jaw dropping", his latest assault on the Second Amendment is an absolute show stopper. In 2012, with his home town run by his former Chief of Staff, Chicago had a whopping 510 murders. That was a war zone! How much did we hear about this from our leader? Nada, zero, nary a word. Most know that gun violence is just a matter of bad people killing other people. We had a national tragedy take place at a small school named Sandy Hook, and suddenly the villains became the legal, law abiding gun owners in America. Never mind the person who perpetrated this crime was the one who pulled the trigger. Nope - our Progressive in Chief saw this as an EXCELLENT opportunity to "not let a good crisis go to waste". In fact, he is so anxious to keep this crisis fresh in everyone's mind, he and the Vice President are thinking about using Executive Orders  to make new law to weaken our Second Amendment. No Congress, no discussions, nothing. Our Second Amendment, which should have been studied by someone who taught Constitutional Law, was put in our Bill of Rights for a reason - and a damn good one.

The irony is this - our President  wants to disarm America. He, along with his old pal and AG, have felt this way for years. The record is clear. Because he wants to disarm America, people in the vast American heartland are buying guns and ammo like there is no tomorrow. Gun sales continue to smash sales records. The National Rifle Association had an increase in membership or over 100,000 in just one week! No, Mr. President, you over drove your headlights on this one. When you have real work to do on our debt issue, you decided to adopt this pet rock. Wrong! As good as you were at dividing this country during your first term, this latest assault on our Constitution will put us over the edge. 

So, I will ask you one more time Sir. Please get back to work, with Congress, and fix this monster debt problem that we ALL have created. Time is ticking and March 1st will be here before you know it. Stop screwing around with health care, gun control and immigration reform until your real work is done. If you did not want the heavy lifting, why did you run for this office? NOTHING right now is more important than getting our debt and economy fixed. As much as you would like to take a tyrannical approach in getting rid of our guns, please remember why the Second Amendment was included in the first place. Hint - to protect us from tyranny.
