Stockpiling Ammo

"We are all of us, need to be like the Little Dutch Boy with his finger in the dike. They are coming for our freedoms folks, and this is not a joke."

There is talk going around the circuit, one of the ideas being floated is to monitor how much ammo a citizen buys. Like, does this person have too much for target practice or hunting? What gives? Or is it the worst thing possible - hoarding? We can't let citizens hoard ammo. Anyone knows that the average person with a long gun, pistol or revolver only needs about 25 to 50 rounds every month. Right? WRONG!

How much ammo a citizen buys every week, every month, or every year is frankly - irrelevant. I don't give a rat's butt if a person buys one box of shells, two boxes, a hundred boxes, or none. That is up to the individual. I have a small stash of various rounds. At one time, I thought I was fixed up just fine. Then I started chatting with some of my gun friends. What I have found out is this - I have peanuts compared to what they have. Did I think what they did in obtaining this much ammo was illegal or immoral? Nope - I was just jealous.

However, speaking of hoarding, I do have interest in how and why someone is hoarding. Who? Our government - who is supposed to work for us. For example, during the Obama Administration, many departments (especially DHS), bought an amazing amount of ammo. How much for DHS? Try 1.5 billion rounds. Is that enough? Enough for our military to fight a "hot war" for 20 years. One problem however - DHS is not our military.

It gets worse. It has also been reported that the USPS has bought ammo to stockpile - as well as NOAA. NOAA? You have got to be kidding me! And much of the ammo which has been procured by the government under Obama was "hollow point". Much more expensive, and much more deadly than standard ammo.

So, if the government ever comes a knocking at my door asking to see what I have stockpiled, I will respond this way - you show me yours, and then I MIGHT show you mine! How could I be that disrespectful to our government agents? Easy - because they work for us, not visa versa. PLUS - they have no DAMN RIGHT to even ask us that question!

Stay strong folks. The gun grabbers have no time for "powers reserved". They will assume power which they do not have. It will be implicit without a shred of Constitution to back them up. We are all of us, need to be like the Little Dutch Boy with his finger in the dike. They are coming for our freedoms folks, and this is not a joke.

  1. Stockpiling of ammunition was the first thing.
Next, we converted excess military assault vehicles into urban killing machines and spread them throughout numerous govt. agencies and cities/counties.
Now, we wait for the signal. It may be 45 with too much power. It may be a return to Democratic control of Washington.
But we are waiting, anxious for the signal to move on you.

You have a few of hunting rifles and a couple shotguns for pursuing game?
You have a pistol in the nightstand or a shotgun in the closet to protect your castle?
You have a prized collection of historical weapons or enjoy muzzle loading or reenacting history with a musket?
Please understand that we’re not coming for those guns.

You want to have a military grade, rapid fire, private cash sale purchased assault “style” weapon with a dozen thirty round clips loaded up with armor piercing bullets and “fun” options like silencers and flash suppressors and a couple untraceable handguns for “close up work” without ever having a background check for prior criminal records, domestic violence reports, and mental health issues? Precisely where the NRA has chosen to “stand and fight” as its line in the sand.
Let there be clarity; we’re coming for those guns.
There are millions of law-abiding gun owners in our society who can and would continue doing exactly what they are now doing with guns in a nation that gives up assault weapons, mega clips, armor piercing bullets, cheap untraceable handguns, fallacies about protecting themselves from their own government, fantasies of taking on the police and US military, and manipulation by a discredited NRA.
We are not coming for your guns.
But out on the fringes, in the mindset of “pry my gun from my cold dead hands,” if it is weapon deserving to be declared illegal in a gun responsible society or stubbornly held or sold without a reasonable loophole-free background check in a gun responsible society, we need to be principled and clear: “We’re coming.”

  2. Here's an idea. Let's confiscate not only the ammo but EVERY gun owned by a law-abiding citizen. How many more "gun free zones" will that leave for the crazies and criminals intent on breaking the laws against murder?

  3. The president remarked that law enforcement should “take the firearms first and then go to court” when it comes to people considered unfit to carry guns.
That’s right, Republicans, turns out there is a president who will ignore the Constitution and come for your guns — the one you voted for.
