The death of the university system

"A better mousetrap is coming and coming soon. It will involved a whole bunch more of on-line classes. No interactions with commie idiots. Just the facts, please. It will be better. It will be cheaper. It will be easier to access."

This is really an easy one to see coming. It is coming in slow motion, but it is still coming. The university system is dying. Does that mean we can stop educating our young? Absolutely not! That is more important today than ever. It is how we educate which will be part of this "great change of everything" which is coming. My opinion on the death of the university system? Good!

For one thing, the university system has become a petri dish for worthless air head commie professors. Plain and simple truth. Some remember Ward Churchill and what a nut ball he was. Today we have a sea of ultra libs in our university system. Like Dr. Christine Ford, "heroine" of the Kavanaugh hearings? I won't even go into that one this morning! Or my new favorite, Christine Fair, Associate Professor from Georgetown University. This gal makes Loons look sane.

Yes this Christine Fair is the one (she has been in the news before for doing bizarre things) who tweeted out the (inferred) male Republican Senators deserved horrible deaths while feminists laughed as they gasped their final breaths. Then (as a bonus), the bodies could be castrated and then fed to pigs. Folks - this is a woman you are paying to teach your children. I would love to say she was a "one off", but she is not. She is becoming more of a norm in academia.

But idiots like Fair and Ford are not the main reason the university system is dying. It is "bang for the buck". The University of Minnesota is a great example. I know of which I speak, as that is my alma mater. When I got out of the service, I was receiving $220/month when I was married and going to school. Those dollars were from the old GI Bill. With that $220 month, it covered all my tuition, books, fees, and part of the rent on my apartment. With only receiving that meager amount every month, I graduated debt free.

Today, the University is bloated with over paid middle management. It has become like a blob which continues to grow. It is bleeding the state coffers dry, and yet the tuition continues to rise. Today, a four year degree (tuition, fees, books and "other") will cost over $70,000. And that is if you live at home in Minnesota with Mom and Dad. If you live out of state, the tuition, fees, books, room and board and "other" is about $160,000! For a state University! A four year degree at a private college like St. Olaf cost north of $200,000.

A better mousetrap is coming and coming soon. It will involved a whole bunch more of on-line classes. No interactions with commie idiots. Just the facts, please. It will be better. It will be cheaper. It will be easier to access. Then what in the world are we going to do with the University Campus? It is huge? Make a mall out of it. Or a very large museum, to show what higher education once looked like - before we truly became enlightened.
