Is there a shadow?

"My final take on a shadow government? It is treasonous. Treason for anyone to participate, including a former President, First Lady, or SOS. Just saying."

My political life coach (trust me, we all need one) has taught me quite a bit. Most of it really good stuff. One of the things he counseled me on over and over is this - the hatred runs deep in the heartland. Hatred? Exactly. Many patriots are fully fed up with Democrats, greenies, progressives, socialists, communists, anarchists, antifa, RINOs, squishy moderates, and so forth.

Not too long ago, it dawned on me. Big time. Yes, there is a seething hatred in the heartland for everything which is not America nor Americanism. But by the same token, there is an equal hatred for everything which IS American or depicts Americanism. That one seems to go one step deeper into the muck. How so? It contains a visceral antipathy for our current President. The one who "stole" the third term of Obama (via term one of Hillary) from the minions. That thief would be Donald Trump.

The hatred of Donald Trump is so strong, many in the previous Administration are refusing to take their hands off the steering wheel. Anyone who thought this idea of a deep state or shadow government was only so much hyperbole or histrionics, need only look to John Kerry. Under no authority by anyone, Kerry was negotiating with the Iranians under seemingly tacit authority. And in the federal government (trust me - I know the rules by heart), if you do not have an official warrant which gives you the expressed authority to engage, implied authority does not mean spit.

I have said for a while now, I would rather have the State Department, Justice Department, and yes, even the Defense Department, run very lean than be filled with shadow vipers. Anyone who is not on the current team, get rid of them. I don't give a rat's but or not if there is a "firing" issue in the government. Get rid of them. Now.

That is my rant. This is Donald Trump's time in the sun. It is his legacy which is now being written. Trust me, if I thought he was on the wrong track all the time, he would be the brunt of many of my articles. But I don't think that. He is doing a very good job. He would be doing an excellent job if he was not handcuffed by a shadow government.

My final take on a shadow government? It is treasonous. Treason for anyone to participate, including a former President, First Lady, or SOS. GITMO has openings right now. If you are playing for the wrong team. Just saying.

  1. Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. Theodore Roosevelt 1912
The concept of a shadow government has been around for over a century and is no different now than then.
It is a factor in every Presidents tenure that they must deal with.
DJT has no more problems with the deep state than any other president.
He and his minions just use them as scapegoats for the failure to push/pass agenda items through a process which they fail to understand or learn.
If DJT had chosen cabinet members with any sort of political background, instead of his rich friends and donors to lead agencies, they would have accomplished far more by this date.
An understanding of the "deep state" would have gone a long way towards mitigating the rancor that now occurs.
