War Criminals!

"Here is the question which now begs to be asked. If the United Nations, of which Russia is a member, cannot stop Russia, what is next? Having a corrupt United Nations, is like having a corrupt Sheriff in charge. If the lawman is corrupt, who will uphold the law?"

Watching the news every day has become torturous. I am drawn to watch it, as I need to know what is happening. And yet when I see and hear, it sickens me. I know, I know. War is seldom pretty. But I really had thought we had grown out of this barbarism. But there is something else here. Something which is really a head scratcher. And that would be the United Nations. Remember them? The organization which was formed to stop or curtail these types of things? And Russia is not only a member of the general assembly of the UN, it is also a member of the security council.

As a refresher, I pulled up the United Nations Charter, which is still in effect. I cut and pasted just a couple items at the end of the article. The highlighting was added by me. 

When you read this, consider the following. Russia is in total violation of the charter. Not only of the charter, but also international law. And here comes the real issue. Any Russian leadership, who is involved in the mess in the Ukraine, are war criminals.

Here is the question which now begs to be asked. If the United Nations, of which Russia is a member, cannot stop the carnage in the Ukraine, what is next? Having a corrupt United Nations, is like having a corrupt Sheriff in charge. If the lawman is corrupt, who will uphold the law? Or in other words, is the lawman an outlaw? A thug? A bully?

Here is the long and the short of it. Not only is Russia an outlaw, but this war criminal organization is threatening to do something even worse. Like, if they think another country is helping the country Russia is illegally invading, Russia just might nuke that country. That takes being a war criminal to a whole new level. With one of the "sheriffs" in the UN being corrupt, and having his finger on the nuclear button, we are stuck. Meanwhile, the atrocities in Ukraine continue, day in, and day out.

Where do we go from here? As Russia kills and depopulates this innocent nation, what does that leave for the civilized world do to? Pray. Pray like never before. The antichrist might be in Europe right now, trying to bring about the end of everything.  

 

Article 1

The Purposes of the United Nations are:

1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;

Article 2

The Organization and its Members, in pursuit of the Purposes stated in Article 1, shall act in accordance with the following Principles.

3.     All Members shall settle their international disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security, and justice, are not endangered.

4.     All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.
