What am I going to do with my old cloth masks which were not that effective anyhow? Put them on Ebay? Burn them? Save them as souvenirs from a sad period in our history? I guess my vote is the burn pit.
Today just might be the day! Now that the nitwit who is running the CDC has FINALLY given the correct guidance on masks (to get rid of them), the President and our Governor were close behind. Of course, the twin socialists who are Mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul, differ with the higher ups. "Oh no", they said - "We are keeping our mask mandates!" Hey Mayors - don't you have bigger fish to fry right now? Like, your out of control crime? Just asking...
I have never been a big fan of the mask. Why? At the beginning of the pandemic, there were short episodes of truth telling by "medical experts". They told America that masks are worthless. Other than the N95 or N100 masks, which we were asked not to buy as the CCP hoarded much of the world's supply before pandemic really set in, cloth masks are only decoration.
About a year ago, at St. Luke's International University in Tokyo, an extensive study was done on cloth masks. It was to determine the effectiveness of cloth masks. Funny, the results of this highly accredited study were not made public in our country. The Tokyo study found that most cloth masks had 100% "leakage" with the novel coronavirus. In other words, they are as worthless as screen doors on submarines.
The question has already been asked. If today's guidance is only for people who have had both shots (or just one with J+J), and then two weeks thereafter have the proper protection, can others cheat? My response? Who cares? Some people are immune due to having the antibodies from already having Covid, some folks have natural immunity, and some folks are willing to just risk it. I am just fine with everyone going mask-less, and getting their old space bubbles back. Shots or no shots, I am fine with it.
