"Tired of winning yet folks? Me neither. Of all his campaign promises, this is the only one he broke. The one where he said we would win so much, we would get tired of winning. I am not tired of it, and I don't know anyone (normal) who is."
Three months ago, if someone had told me the events which happened in Singapore last night would happen, I would have had that person drug tested. About a year ago, when Otto Warmbier came home from North Korea more dead than alive, I really thought our President was going to blow a gasket - then launch some kind of attack on North Korea. Mercifully, he did not. But last night did happen. And it was history being made, of the highest magnitude.
The picture which I posted, which now might be the most famous picture in the world, almost looks like someone did a Photo Shop job on it. To see our flag and the North Korea flag, sit side by side, is something to behold. Then, to see the two leaders of these countries shaking hands in front of those flags, who just a few months ago were threatening each other with fiery death, is a "WOW" shot.
The man who many on the Loony Left is called the "Accidental President", has sure done some wonderful and amazing things in the 500 days since being sworn in. This however, might be the frosting on the cake. The first sitting President in history to meet face to face with a leader of North Korea. If nothing else had come out of this meeting but that, it would have still been historic.
But more did come out of it. So, listen up BHO - this is how it is supposed to be done:
Step One - get hostages back without paying one thin time.
Step Two - have a face to face meeting in some location which is away yet secure, and discuss, then agree on, a framework of a deal.
Step Three - come away from that meeting with some kind of signed agreement which will memorialize the verbal understandings.
Step Four - immediately establish teams and deadlines to start working on the de-nuke treaty. Yes, human rights can be included, but you don't want to clutter this document too much so it looks like a Minnesota omnibus bill.
Step Five - once the treaty is done, get it ratified by Congress. A very important step which BHO forget in the Iran mess.
Do you know who was paying attention last night? Everyone. Russia, China, South Korea, Japan, the EU, and yes, Iran. Heads up Iran - you are in the on-deck circle. No, the President has not forgotten about you. With the most crippling sanctions in history coming your way, you will soon come to the place that North Korea is now. Then we will negotiate a fair deal with you also. And follow it up with a treaty - run by and ratified by Congress.
So as Europe still fumes over the tariff issue, and Justin can't get his eyebrows glued on correctly, our winning President just keeps on winning. Only in echo chambers like the Tony Awards, do the clueless still give a standing "O" to a washed up actor dropping the "F" Bomb on our President. Only on Capitol Hill does a grease-ball Congressman draft articles of impeachment, on a President who has done nothing wrong. Meanwhile, average Americans are loving this President more and more every single day.
Tired of winning yet folks? Me neither. Of all his campaign promises, this is the only one he broke. The one where he said we would win so much, we would get tired of winning. I am not tired of it, and I don't know anyone (normal) who is.
Great first step! Anxious to see what side deals were made that aren't in the official communique. Well done, DJT!
