Labor Day. The day we get the kiddos prepped for the new school year. The last day before the new pro football season starts. The day which used to host the Jerry Lewis Telethon. And of course - the last day of the state fair. But what else is this Labor Day (other than a three day weekend)? It is the honest to gosh start of the political season. The sprint to the midterms.
The MSM is doing their level best already, to dissuade the conservative vote. Telling us that the once feared red wave, is no longer possible. That the Dems are probably going to hold on to both the House and Senate. Really? That means Americans, by a majority, would like to continue to have high inflation, supply chain woes, high gas prices, record crime in the big cities, open borders, "woke" education, supersized government and bills, government handouts, and so forth? Come on, man!
There is only one thing which loses elections. That is when your voting base stays home. It has happened before, and it will happen again. If the Republicans stick to message, ignore the crapola coming out of the DFL controlled media, and THEN VOTE - things should be fine. We should take the House by a fairly large margin. The Senate is another question. I would focus on the House in 2022, and the Senate and White House in 2024. Just having the House going forward would be enough to stop some of the hemorrhaging.
Yesterday, the head of the HRCC and the HDCC were both on the Sunday morning show. The head of the HRCC is my Congressman, Tom Emmer. The other guy is from New York. The script for the Democrats, is January 6th, and abortion. Over and over and over again. Tom Emmer on the other hand, talked about the real issues. The ones which affect everyday Americans. That is the horse we are going to ride into the victory circle.
The Democrats are working overtime to goad us into doing something stupid before the election. Why? That is their "Hail Mary" pass. They have nothing else. We have already done something foolish on January 6th, 2021. That gave the Left a HUGE talking point. Allowed them to paint us with a broad brush. But - if we can keep our cool, ignore the sophomoric babble coming out of the media, and stick to message - we should be fine the day after election.
I will have more insights and ideas on the elections (both state and national) leading up to election day.
