Something evil in this way comes...

"The Father of Lies, is very good at shining up evil, to make it look like good. To fool us, into doing evil when we think it is good."

For those who have read the early chapters of Genesis, know what the Earth was like during creation. Everything that God created was good. Until He created man, the pinnacle of his creation. For that creation, God referred to His creation as very good. The Earth, and all created, was in the time of perfection - the time before the Fall of Man. Why do I bring this up? I think about how evil has invaded our broken world. Where mankind has come since the first original sin. How that sin has multiplied immeasurable times. And that brings us to today. A world so full of evil and sin, many cannot even recognize sin as sin anymore.

What happened in Minnesota yesterday was evil on steroids. And yet, many people, who are blinded to sin, rejoiced. The local paper even referred to the signing of this heinous abortion bill as "enshrining it into law". But what was is really? It legalized the killing of our unborn up to the time of birth. God's creations. Little humans, whom God knit together in the womb. We have become so blinded to sin, the loss of these little ones does not matter. But they do matter. Especially to God.

First comes abortion on demand. Then infanticide. Then euthanasia. Once we are comfortable with the killing of those who are too old, too sick, or too imperfect - then comes the third part of the trifecta. Genocide. Don't think so? How about the Armenian Genocide of 1918? Or the Jewish Holocaust of World War II? Or what is happening over in Ukraine right now? Once life becomes cheap and expendable, there are no guard rails. No speed bumps. Our carnality at that point, becomes absolute.

I think of this often. While we throw precious life away, our scientists and astronomers are scrubbing the heavens to find ANY proof of life outside of Earth. If one of our Rovers on Mars could find one single cell life form, like an ameboma, it would be front page news all over the world. This would be huge! But back on Earth, we are teaming with life. Single cell life, all the way up to mankind - God's pinnacle of creation. 

How are we treating God's pinnacle of creation? What kind of respect are we giving life? First off, the WHO estimates over the past 50 years, there has been as many as a billion abortions, worldwide. 63 million abortions in the "civilized" country of the United States alone. And for war? It is estimated that during the first year of conflict in Ukraine, over 200,000 people have been killed.

If you are the praying kind, this might be a good time to kneel and pray for forgiveness. Pray that eyes of our lawmakers may be opened to the evil at our doorstep. For evil to be stopped, it must first be recognized.
