"In the coming time, faith will be tested. Our will, will be tested. This country, blessed by God since its inception, will be tested. We need to be ready. Spiritually really, physically ready."
Someone once said (and the origins are somewhat muddled), the worst trick Satan ever played on this world, was convincing us he did not exist. Because, if there is no Satan, there cannot be a God. So let the good times roll! Bring on Darwin! Bring on New Age Christianity, or whatever it is called today. Meanwhile, as our guard is down, our armor off, we become easy prey for the principality of darkness.
In the faith, we know the battle has already been won. Christ took care of that while on Earth. However, the darkness still exists. Sin exists. Satan exists. Since Satan cannot get to God, he will try and get to God's children.
Many feel the Great Awakening is coming very soon. We can see it in how it is dividing our country. Our world. Secular vs. sacred. Good vs. evil. God vs. world. Life vs. death. Look around. Look in the Twin Cities. Look how the churches in those cities are being changed. Look how abortion is being looked upon. Some churches are celebrating it, rather than condemning it. Sin is becoming fluid, and right and wrong is becoming interchangeable and arbitrary. When the Great Awakening comes, one must choose sides. There will be no middle ground.
Until that happens, what is our best defense? As Ephesians 6:12 states, "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." It continues in verse 13, "Therefore, put on the full armor of God..."
In the coming time, faith will be tested. Our will, will be tested. This country, blessed by God since its inception, will be tested. We need to be ready. Spiritually really, physically ready. Some think we live in the end times. Others think only dangerous times. I do know this - it is time to choose. Soon the time to choose will be past.

ReplyDeleteOne could argue that one way or another. It can also work in reverse. Hence this quote from the original version of Bedazzled: "I know there's a God...Because I've seen the Devil!"
