Leaving town in a hurry

Hello November! Boy, have I missed you since last year! Well, not really. Besides Thanksgiving and Sunday football, you really do offer nothing. Cold, dark (daylight savings ends Sat night), and the cloudiest month of the year. This upcoming week, will be very brutal for this time of year. But we live here, and pay confiscatory taxes to do so.

Friday, right after the faux impeachment vote, Congress sprinted to get out of town. And why not? Now that they have really twisted the knife to keep tearing this country apart, they also have done NOTHING of what they promised to do. Nothing what they promised IF we allowed them to take over the House. When I say nothing, that be a huge goose egg, zero. So why are they leaving?

Elections? Sure, there are some next week - but only local. Holiday? None that I am aware of. Then what in the Sam Hill could be more important than get the votes to ratify the USMCA? Mexico ratified it six months ago. What is wrong with us? Everybody agrees it is better than NAFTA. Or what about the southern border, and fixing the holes in our immigration system? A DACA fix? I guess the "dreamers" will just keep on dreaming.

It seems we are operating under yet another continuing resolution. This goes on until right before Thanksgiving. Then the money runs out. If the funding bills are not agreed to and signed by the President by then, the current CR will have to be extended - or the government shut down. Wait - did not everyone, including the President, swear allegiance against these illegal things called CR's? Like there would never be another? I guess getting off of a life long habit of drug usage is harder than everyone thought. 

I have seen some inept Speakers in my life, but Ms. Nancy takes the cake. She is like the pickle in the middle. Hard left socialists on one side, and people who want to get SOMETHING done for their constituents on the other side. This 80 year old woman, who is suffering the ravages of time, does not know how to fight off these young socialists. So she kowtows to them. And nothing, but kangaroo court after kangaroo court, got done. 

The good news? There is none. When Congress gets back into town, they will already be prepping for Thanksgiving break. And then when they return from that, the long Christmas recess. ((Yawn...)) Get the picture? The people who were elected by us, who are getting paid by us, who should answer to us - don't give two poops and a holler about us.
