"Churches are not supposed to support candidates They are suppose to preach the Gospel. If the true Gospel is taught in churches, the parishioners will know who to vote for."
The New York Times has a glaring headline this week. 1,600 faith leaders support Joe Biden over Donald Trump. Huh? Are these Christian Churches? Yup - they are. Wait a minute. Some are Catholic, some of Evangelical, some are Lutheran. What gives? How could they support a Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates who outwardly condone abortion? It is simple. Some churches are turning the other cheek. Not like the Bible teaches us - the churches are ignoring evil.
I have harped on this issue before - many times. Today more than ever, we need the church to start becoming the church again. To call out evil and sinfulness. We DON'T need our churches to become "woke" or PC. But that is what is happening. They are not backing the President because they don't like his mannerisms. Never mind all the good he has done. Never mind all the people (pre-virus) he has lifted out of the unemployment line and into employment. Never mind that our economy has been "a tide which has lifted all ships". Nope. Today's "woke" churches are not concerned with that. They are concerned with the health of the nanny state.
If this President loses to a very flawed candidate like Joe Biden, historians will be writing about this for decades. Joe Biden does not represent the swamp - he is the swamp. He is the Deep State. He is the status quo in Washington, which has locked things up like an engine running without oil.
Biden and his son have done things not yet known, but suspected. It is all on Hunter Biden's hard drive. How bad is it? Instead of focusing on the "sins of the father", maybe we should focus on the sins of the son. Those sins, when revealed, could be eye popping. Maybe if the church leaders knew some of the specifics, they might feel differently about supporting Biden/Harris. Or not.

Who the most Godly candidates are. But today our churches have gone beyond the "equipping" stage. Equipping the congregation on how to live their lives the right way. How to practice the Great Commission. Rather than proclaiming the Gospel, some churches would rather hand out "Coexist" bumper stickers. Like I say, "woke" and PC.
Like Jesus did in the temple when He saw corruption, Donald Trump has done in Washington. He has turned over the tables. Exposed the Deep State. Started to drain the swamp. And the establishment hate him for it. And part of our churches today, are part of that status quo establishment. Even the Pope is becoming "woke". He is quoted to have said, "You don't need to believe in God to get to Heaven". Huh? And where in the world is that in scripture? Like I say, "woke" and PC.
This is what has happened to the churches in Europe. They became so involved in becoming part of the crowd, part of the world, soon hardly anyone came to services. All that remained were some very beautiful, yet very empty, buildings. We are on the same path right now. And it saddens me.
