Interesting debate on the news today. How is our PC'd out "See something, say something" working for us? Or how is the concept that "This person is on our radar" working out for us? Poorly at best. Bottom line? We are just targets of opportunity. And people living in NYC, are some of the biggest targets in the US? God help you.
I am not going to honor this dirt bag by using his name. It is bad enough I had to use his picture for this article. I think this poor slob forgot we recently had an election. We no longer have "we need to feel his pain" President. We have "Hang him by the .....s President". This President, has NO time for terrorists. None. Terrorists who hit Europe, he has no time for. Terrorists who hit the US, especially the President's home town, he wants to sent them to Gitmo - or worse.
President Obama wanted to have a "fundamental change" in America during his tenure. That change helped give us Donald Trump. This President wants to put an end to the destructive PC culture we have devolved into. If you are radicalized at a Mosque, Trump wants to shut the Mosque down. If you are even a dim blip on the FBI's radar, the President wants you further vetted. If you are dirty, he wants the information, one way or the other. Terrorists - welcome to the world of "We have had it with you!"
Some terror experts have predicted we have almost a million people in this country right now who are potential terrorists. Really? This is one of the reasons that our President wants our immigration changed to be merit based. Why is that? Many other countries do that successfully.
We let in just about anyone at anytime. Our new President wants super vetting. The local "dictators" in sanctuary cities do not. Don't think so? Travel down to the Cedar Riverside area of Minneapolis some time. We have hundreds of people there who do not speak nor read English, and don't understand, nor care for our culture. Are they merit based? Not hardly.
Get ready folks. We are in for more of the same. Just like in Europe, the first attack is a probe. There will be more. Unless we take this threat as serious as Israel does, many more innocents will die. If you see something - say something. And then we will forget it. That is - unless we take our President's advice and stop becoming so damned PC!
The merit system has some value, but the benefits of a merit system are outweighed by our need for service workers and agricultural workers that would not pass a merit system.
ReplyDeleteFor America's economy to grow, those positions need to be filled, and since our own folks won't do the job, immigrants or day workers are needed.
