Last night was Navy night. NCIS was on as well as NCIS -New Orleans. I did not watch them. I recorded them, so I could watch three hours of the Clown Car (Democrat debate). Once again, it was three hours of my life I would love to have back. But I had made my choice, and I suffered through listening to a bunch of people talk about things they know nothing about. Mercifully, at 10 pm it was over, and I crawled into bed.

Tom Steyer was in this debate for the first time. This guy is a piece of work. His platform is truly a one trick pony. "Impeach the criminal who is living in the White House!" Impeach? Based on what? He has no clue. He just likes singing from the same songbook as the other clown's do.

As the socialists continue to try and pull the "new" platform over the cliff of reality, there are precious few sane voices who are trying to be the adults in the room. One was Tulsi Gabbard, and the other was our own hot dish queen - Amy. Of all the nut balls, I like Tulsi the best. Settle down! It is not because she is gentle on the eyes! It is that she has an interesting story, a patriot, and - she takes no crap from CNN nor any of the other clowns on the stage. Amy, on the other hand, has no story. Plus - on the boring factor, she is off the charts.

More on Amy in a minute. Bernie looked good for just coming off a heart issue. Plus, he has picked up some red hot endorsements which might tilt the race. Yes, the misfits from the Squad are endorsing Bernie! Other than that, all I heard from the New York Vermont Senator is once again, "I wrote the damn bill". Plus, he showed a glimmer of honesty when he said he would tax the hell out of us to pay for his "Medicare for All" plan. Okay Bernie, now go back to sleep. 

Joe continues to look old and confused. He loves the tough guy image of telling the President he will "beat him like a drum". No offense Joe - you could not fight your way out of a wet paper bag. Plus, you are corrupt sir, and so is your son. You have used and abused your prior position of VP. Why in the world would anyone want you to be President?

"Senator Sanders was truthful enough to tell us how he would pay for his plan", Amy admonished Pocahontas. Senator Warren had no answer to that charge. I guess the money tree theory would not fly. 

Amy - time to call it a day. Save your donors some time and money. You have no shot, and I don't think you will make VP on any ticket. Come back to Minnesota where you have people who know how to pronounce your name and can tolerate your blandness. Between you and the movie "Fargo", people on both coasts have a wonderful, yet weird impression of Minnesota right now.
