"Are you ready to rumble?????"

"To the uninvited protesters who will be downtown - don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. Your kind is not welcome here. Never have been, never will be."    

I will admit it. Years ago, the Bird watched quite a bit of professional wrestling. Yes, I knew it was fake. Big deal. It was good theater. One of the announcers (might have even been "Mean Gene") would start out the show by getting the crowd revved up. He would grab his mike and shout, "Are you ready to rumble?" The crowd loved it, and responded with ear splitting cheers. But like I said - that was fake. What could happen in Minneapolis tonight will not be.

On Fox News this morning, it was reported that over 10,000 protesters and counter-protesters are expected to converge in Minneapolis tonight. The stated goal of the protesters is to cause as much mayhem as possible. Maybe hurt some Trump supporters. The stated goal of many of the counter-protesters is to keep the Trump supporters safe. What would possibly go wrong?

Here is one thing. Trump supporters have had it up to their eyeballs and beyond with the boorish and churlish behavior of these thugs. In other words - time is up. Many of the Trump supporters know exactly what awaits for them going into and coming out of the Target Center. And many are ready for it. They will not longer be used as pinatas for the bad guys. Many of the bad guys know they will come up against more resistance than in the past. And they are ready for that also. What could possibly go wrong?

Mayor Wibble Wobble is chomping at the bit for something bad to happen. He already has his finger greased up, ready to point at the Trump supporters to blame for any rioting and destruction. Rumor has it, he has forbidden the local press from coming into the Target Center to interview the supporters. Maybe he is afraid some of the truth might get out. The truth you see, is poison to a good narrative which is woven with lies.

I will not be there. I am going to be on assignment for a while. More on that later. I do however, have friends and acquaintances who will be down there. I am concerned for their safety. Wait a minute Bird! Stop being so one sided! What about the safety of the protesters? Antifa? To quote a line from a James Bond movie, "I hope some harm comes their way." Not permanent harm, just enough to teach them a lesson and change their behavior. 

To my friends who are going downtown to see this most wonderful President and most wonderful Vice President - enjoy the evening. Stay safe, but still, have a great time. To the uninvited protesters who will be downtown - don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. Your kind is not welcome here. Never have been, never will be.
