Owned, operated, and sickened (again) by the PRC

I just saw this article on the news yesterday. Truthfully - due to the blitzkrieg of "stuff" the Biden Administration has thrown at us during the past 18 months, I had forgotten about it. And I shouldn't have. This is very important. And it also tells us something about how owned and operated Joe Biden is by the PRC. Plus, along the irony of Biden being this owned and operated by the PRC, he was also been made sick with the Wuhan Flu - twice in less than a month. Karma?

The article I am talking about, had to do with the PRC spying on America. During the Trump Administration, the Donald was all over ChiCom spying. He was wise to what the ChiComs were doing to us. Then came the 2020 election. Biden, in his "do everything opposite if what Trump did", immediately ceased FBI surveillance on PRC assets in the United States. Biden thought that it was "racist" what Trump was doing. Anti-Chinese. So, for the past 18 months, the lid has been off the cookie jar. Good for China, bad for the United States. And VERY good for the Biden Crime Family.

It is highly suspected, and somewhat known even though it is still cloaked in secrecy, that Hunter Biden's laptop has a treasure trove of information in it. Some of it might be salacious, but most is about the connection of Red China to the Biden family.

As many of the left (yes, even some RINOs), have had their undies in a bundle over January 6th, the real crime against America has been going on right under our noses. We have been sold out by the family of the guy who has been in Washington for over 40 years. 

James Biden, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and who knows how many other shirt tailed Biden's relative are involved in this national crime. How bad is it? When this family is finally put under the microscope, we might find sedition, treason or worse. This current administration has turned a blind eye, while China has trained the Mexican Cartels to not only smuggle fentanyl over our southern border, but now also how to manufacture it. Meanwhile, the CDC estimates that over 150 Americans (many of them young), die from fentanyl poisoning each and every day. For those who are complacent in this, it is just plain murder.

The RINOs who crossed over to vote for Biden instead of the "mean tweeter", have traded a mild headache, for terminal cancer. We now have the most corrupt administration in the history of this great nation.

I am reminded of that old adage, "Cheer up, things could be worse". So in November of 2020, many cheered up and voted for the Biden Crime Family. And now things did get worse.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Be careful of who you vote for folks, you might end up voting for a viper instead of a victor.  

   

Who really owns the China Sea?

"Life would sure be a lot simpler if countries like Ukraine and Taiwan could vote to see if they wanted to be part of Russia or Red China. If the vote came up no, then case closed. Russia and Red China would have no right to those counties. Sovereign countries are sovereign countries."

Who really owns the China Sea? I suppose if you asked Chairman Xi, he would tell you he does. Especially the South China Sea. And who gave him the right to say that? Well, he did. But here are the facts. All ocean, save for a country's claim of territorial or economic border, is international water. China has a 12 nautical mile territorial sea, a 24 mile contiguous zone, and a 200 mile exclusive economic zone. That is it. That is all they may lay claim to (legally). 

The country of Taiwan has some interesting borders. It lies between the East China Sea, the South China Sea, Pacific Ocean, the Taiwan Straight, and the Luzon Straight. It is about 100 miles from Red China. In nobody's legal definition, does Taiwan fall within Red China's legal territory. Sorry - those are just the facts.

The Speaker of the House might be flying to Taiwan for a visit. In the eyes of the Chinese, this is like insulting their mothers. So what is the problem? Do we need to violate Chinese air space to get to Taiwan? No. Will this trip be a threat to Red China? Again, no. But in the mind of Xi, the expansionist dictator, Taiwan belongs to him. Taiwan is a rogue state, which belongs to Red China. For us to visit Taiwan without Xi's consent, is tantamount to an act of war.

If the shoe were on the other foot, and Xi wanted to visit Canada or Mexico for trade talks, and we told him no, as those two countries kind of belonged to us, that would not stand. First off, both Canada and Mexico would say they do not belong to us (kind of like Taiwan telling China that). And we would have no international standing to tell China to stay away (kind of like China has no legal standing to tell us to stay away from Taiwan).

The one good thing which has happened this year, is the makeup is off the pigs. Both Russia and China have shown the world just what they are. Brutal dictators. Expansionists. Hegemonists. Murderers. Human rights abusers. And in Russia's case - war criminals.

If push comes to shove in the western Pacific, things could turn ugly real fast. It would not just be the United States going against Red China - Japan, the PI, Australia, South Korea, Viet Nam, and maybe NATO could also be involved on our side. Russia has already said they are supporting Red China. That would leave the door open for North Korea, and Iran to also join the fray. It would be another world war.

Life would sure be a lot simpler if countries like Ukraine and Taiwan could vote to see if they wanted to be part of Russia or Red China. If the vote came up no, then case closed. Russia and Red China would have no right to those counties. Sovereign countries are sovereign countries. Period. If we don't abide by that, we are no better than we were 1,000 years ago. Might makes right. If we conquer you, then it sucks being you.

      

Gaslighting recessions and 3,000 cars

"In any event, today will be another Orwellian day, where our government practices groupthink. Up is down, black is white, you decide which is right. Recession, or car thefts - just part of the landscape now. Might as well sit back and enjoy them, as that is what we are being told to do." 

What kind of a title is that for a post, Bird? Are they related? Not a bit. However, I did want to address both of these timely issues. Rather than take care of them in two separate blog posts, I decided to do it all at once. So here it goes.

Yesterday, we found out that we were in a recession. Well, duh! Most of us have known that for quite a while. But hold on here. Seems that Slo Joe does not want to admit this almost stagflation of an economy, is in recession. But wait - we have had two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. Yea - so what? We have a new sheriff in town now, with new parameters. Recession? Not so fast, cowboy.

Joe is quick to point out that we have had a ton of jobs "created". Not really. We have had a bunch of the jobs which disappeared during the pandemic, and are now starting to come back. Never mind the fact we still have millions of jobs which are unfilled. And because of the labor shortage, the most basic of all jobs are paying $15/hour. That is why just going out for a simple breakfast these days cost $40 for two people. Outrageous. 

If you think we are in a recession (so sayeth the wizards of smart in this administration), don't believe your lying eyes. I know, I know. If we had a Republican President right now, we would not only be in a recession, but maybe a full out depression. But with Joe Biden, it is all cool, man. Don't sweat it. Things are really okay - they just seem real bad.

Car. 3,000 cars. That is how many have been stolen in Minneapolis so far this year. What? Wait - how can that be? Even though we are in a recession, the crime industry is doing just fine, thank you. If not stealing catalytic converters off of cars, it is stealing the entire car instead. But can't the cops stop all of this? Cops? What cops? Remember, the City Council did not want any cops. Only influencers, decomplicators, and violence defusors. 

Some of the more enlightened and seasoned commentators are now fully speaking their minds. "In all my years, I have never seen anything like this." Like what? Like Biden's America. If we could go back in time even ten years, and tell the story of Biden's America, few would believe us - even those on our side of the fence.

And now Taiwan...

The other day on the news, I heard something very unsettling. It was an air raid siren going off. The "tease" was the commentator said this was going off over a major city. But it was not an American nor NATO city (thank God) - it was Taipei. Why? Because the good folks in Taiwan firmly believe the big meanies from Red China are going to invade them. "Annex" them, just like Russia is trying to "annex" Ukraine.

Taiwan. The last island of hope for a normal China. The PRC next door however, don't see it that way. They look at Taiwan as the misbehaving child who moved out without permission. This island nation, with a land mass of about three times what Hawaii is, has many mountains and rivers. It is home to over 23 million people. It is also home to the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, which makes over 92% of some of the world's most sophisticated computer chips. 

Now I am going to say something many people who know me will find hard to believe. I support our current Speaker of the House - Ms. Nancy. Not on much, but I do on her visiting our ally in the western Pacific, Taiwan. The PRC however, are madder than wet hens, at even the idea that Pelosi may visit. Biden does not like it, nor does his SecDef. Why not? Good question. Maybe China appeasement has become way too familiar with some in our government.

Mainland China has a rich history. That is, until 1949, when Mao took over. Now with Xi, this "bully" thing continues in China. I don't trust them. I did not trust them when I served in Okinawa. Let's just say I had the chance to peek under their tent.

I think Red China will make a play for Taiwan. And when they do, it will be a bloody affair. Maybe as bloody as Ukraine. Will we be involved, either as a proxy or direct participant? Absolutely. That is, unless our government gets "round heels" again.

I am sick and tired of these two jackasses, Russia and China, threatening us. Time to turn the table. WE need to tell both of them, that annexation of other countries WILL NOT STAND! I know, I know - that is the job of the UN (or, supposed to be).

Ms. Nancy NEEDS to make this trip. As a representative of the United States, she needs to tell the free people of Taiwan that they will remain free. We will NOT allow the PRC to subjugate or conquer them. Biden needs to tell that to Xi on his phone call today also.

Ukraine, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and any other country on this great planet deserve to live as free people. Period. End of story.       

Will he clear the field?

"My feeling is Trump will not announce until after the midterms. To do so before, might sway a few tight races. Unless - he announces he will not run. Then (in my opinion), it will not matter if he announces before or after the midterms." 

Will he or won't he? That is the question which is resonating in most GOP hallways today. Donald Trump has made his mind up. The only question is will he spill the beans before or after the midterms. Already the sides are lining up. The Trump loyalists are hoping against hope that he runs again. That Donald Trump has his second term. On the other hand, the socialists and the GOP NEVER TRUMPERS are once again aligned. If Trump decides to run again, this cabal of Trump haters will fight against him with ever fiber in their bodies.

I like Donald Trump. I think he did some very good things for our country. Like, 100 times better than what we have now. That being said, I would like to see Ron DeSantis or Senator Tom Cotton throw their hats in the ring. Maybe even Senator Josh Hawley. Why? Donald Trump's ability to really piss people off, works against him. Works against his agenda. Some say his bellicose manner is his greatest strength - others think it might be his achilleas heal.

Many analysts think that if Trump runs, it will clear the field. Maybe all except DeSantis. My biggest fear is this. Trump might galvanize the socialists so much, that the GOP would not be able to poach many blue voters in 2024. As we all know, in order to win a national election, you first need your base, then a good share of the independents, and then some voters from the other side of the fence.

My feeling is Trump will not announce until after the midterms. To do so before, might sway a few tight races. Unless - he announces he will not run. Then (in my opinion), it will not matter if he announces before or after the midterms. 

How ever it turns out, I will always think of Trump as a good man, but not a perfect man. He was a good President - his report card looks pretty good, especially compared to Joe Biden. In any event, first things first. We MUST have a very good showing in the midterms. Take the House for sure, and hopefully the Senate. As far as the White House is concerned, that is a topic for another day.  

Bad to the bone

Could someone please explain to me, in words which are short and simple so I can understand them, what is the heck has happened to the streets in America? All of a sudden, NYC has decided to give Chicago a run for the most crime riddled city in America. But what is happening in New York right now, has all the hallmarks of a town without pity. Total carnage and carnal behavior. New York has taken the term "mean streets" to an entire different level.

On the news today, was a story about a particularly gruesome crime. A pedestrian was crossing the street, when he (or she) was struck by a car. The thugs riding in the car immediately disembarked. To help the victim? No. To rob that person. The person might have been dead, dying, or just severely injured. To the thugs, it did not matter. This was just a "mark" waiting to be robbed.

Want to ride the subway in New York? No thanks for me. As bad as the LRT system has become in the Twin Cities, the subway system in New York is many times worse. Very few cops, and lots of crime. As of late, it is common to hear of someone being pushed onto the tracks, right in front of an approaching subway train. Horrible, just horrible. The thugs in this town are bad - bad to the bone.

A guest on the news was asked about the crime in New York. Without hesitation, he said God is the issue. God has been taken out of the schools, activities, the home - everything. Here is what I think the guest was trying to say. Even though this is a broken world, God is still involved. If however, we want to shun God, He will show us what a truly carnal world looks like. We need to ask God to back into every part of our lives. Our carnal nature is no match for God, if we let Him in. If we don't, what is happening in New York, Chicago, and other cities - will continue. Maybe get worse.

Back in the 1950's and 1960's, we were very proud of our cities. We took Russian officials on tours of Detroit, as it was "the city which worked". Today, people who know better, stay as far away from large cities as possible. Detroit has gone from "the city which worked", to looking like a bombed out city in Ukraine. Minneapolis still has scars from the George Floyd lawless mayhem.

It is best just to stand back, as big blue cities devolve into a sink hole of crime and grief. It does not have to be this way. But this is our choice. A world in which man thinks he is in charge, instead of God. The results are right in front of us, for all to see. And it ain't pretty.  

Days of Ezekiel?

"Obama opened the door for Iran to become a nuclear superpower. Gave then a wad of cash to allow them to be the number one terror state in the world. If we want to see where bad stuff can happen, all one needs to do is look at the former kingdom of Persia." 

For those who think the Holy Bible is just a book of stories and fables, can pass this post by. For those deep in the faith, this post will come as no surprise. For those who are "catatonic Christians" (my wife and I were for years), you might find this post of interest. Or downright scary. 

Eschatology. The study of the end of our age. The end of this material world as we know it. Most people who study this, use the Holy Bible as their primary source. Why? It is full of predictions. How many? About 2,500. Of those, about 2,000 have been fulfilled. But one of the most important and timely predictions was the reinstatement of Israel in 1948. Created in one day. To many Eschatologists, that was the point which started our final countdown.

Now, I don't study Eschatology. I am far from an expert. I do know this however, from listening to Bible scholars who are learned on this subject - the end times could be very close - and they have NOTHING to do with global warming. They do however, have everything to do with Russia and Iran. Or, in the final battle, when they will attack Israel. 

I am very concerned about any cozy relationship which is forming between Russia and Iran. This war in Ukraine might just be the overture for a new "axis of evil". But what about Turkey, a member of NATO? Erdogan loves playing both sides of the street. He is not to be trusted. But would he forsake NATO to join this new band of blood brothers? I sure hope not.

Armageddon, Gog and Magog - all center around Israel. Ukraine needs to be watched, but so does Iran. Some think that Putin might be the Anti-Christ. Others think he (or she) has yet to show. 

If you have not been a page turner in the Holy Bible for years, now might be a good time to re-establish that habit. This book of knowledge and hope, was given to us for a reason. It is timeless, and it is vital - especially today. 

One final thing. If your church focuses its messaging and teaching from the Bible, you are in the right place and the right time. However, if your church tries to bend the Bible around its messaging, cherry picking from the Bible what they want, and ignoring parts which are uncomfortable - look for a different church - and quickly.  

Nudging the Bear

"Meanwhile, the beat goes on. Our weak President has covid and dimension. Our military is understaffed, and those who serve, are being trained to use proper pronouns rather than how to break things and kill people."

Shortly after the illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine started, Vladimir Putin was very forthcoming in his threats to the West. Especially us. "Supply weapons to Ukraine, and you will become part of this". Then as time went on, there were more and more veiled or not so veiled threats. Putin even offered to vaporize both of our coasts, which would put an end to America. A bit different (and more truculent) than Khrushchev banging his shoe on the podium at the UN.

First, an aside. Three days ago, NPR finally raised the question about Ukraine being corrupt. DUH! We have known for a long time, that the government of Ukraine is corrupt. How do we know Ukraine was (or still is corrupt)? Hunter Biden. He could sniff out a deal in Ukraine. Hunter's business acumen is sniffing through the garbage.

This unqualified crack head, ended up on the Board of Directors of Burisma, an Ukraine based energy company. And what did Hunter know about energy? Nada - but - Hunter's daddy was the Veep at that time. It was a pay to play deal.

Now we have Russia, a very corrupt country, who is nothing but a gas station with nukes, invading Ukraine, an almost as corrupt country. And - NATO and the United States, who continue to send scads of cash and weaponry over to the war zone. Soon, we might be sending some of our best fighter jets over there. Will this cross Putin's red line? Maybe. Will he take some kind of nuclear option to retaliate? I sure hope not. 

Here is my way of thinking on this matter. We are nudging the Bear. More and more, harder and harder. We are banking on the premise that cooler heads will prevail in Russia. That they will just put up with weapons which will further decimate their troops and equipment. But what if we nudge the Bear too far? Do we need to practice the "duck and cover" drills again? Or will Russia decide to teach us all a lesson by turning NATO headquarters in Belgium into a flaming cinder?

We may think our participation in this war right now is solely lend lease. Or it is proxy? My question is this - is this going to be a quagmire for us, like Viet Nam was? Where we started out advisors helping the French, and ended up owning the defeat of South Vietnam? How do we extricate ourselves from Ukraine? Or are we there for the long haul?

Messing with Russia, is like getting into a shoving contest with someone who has a loaded Glock in his waistband. You are hoping that the pushing and shoving stays at pushing and shoving. However, there is always the chance the other guy could take his Glock out of his waistband, and shoot. We are banking on the chance that Putin will never spin up this nukes and use them on us or NATO.

Meanwhile, the beat goes on. Our weak President has covid and dimension. Our military is understaffed, and those who serve, are being trained to use proper pronouns rather than how to break things and kill people. Our economy is a mess, we have three million illegals who have invaded our southern border this year, and half the people in the country are confused if they are still proud to be Americans anymore. 

Will Putin destroy America? I don't think he needs to. We are doing a good job of destroying it ourselves. November cannot come fast enough.  

 

 

Cancer, Covid and Cognition

"Personally, I want Biden in office at least through November. I want to see the look on his face, and the word salad coming out of his mouth, when the sky falls in on the Democrat Party." 

How is our 79 year old President doing as of late? Not well. Seems he has the three "C"s - cancer, covid and cognition. Well - sort of. The cancer thing was a head scratcher. At some event, Smokin' Joe decided to disclose to the world that his growing up in Delaware was not all wine and roses. In fact, he caught cancer from all the oil which came raining down from the sky. A lot of people in Delaware "caught it". The only problem is this - Joe's doctor disputes that fact. He has had some pre-cancerous legions burned off from time to time, but who hasn't at that age. The White House had to do another "clean up on aisle Joe"...

Well, the cancer thing might have been just another Biden canard. But the covid thing? That was for real. However, Dr. Segal from Fox News was interviewed last night. Like - how common is this covid thing these days? According to the good doc, getting this new variant is very common. And most of the time, it is very treatable. But, but Biden was vaxxed - twice! And then had two boosters! Seems this variant does not care about that. Even though Dr. Seagal said we as a nation have developed some herd immunity towards covid, we can still get it. But it is becoming more like getting the common flu than the black death it started out to be.

Now for the most important one of Biden's maladies. Dr. Ronny Jackson, who served under G.W. Bush and Obama as the White House physician, has an interesting take on Smoking Joe's marbles. He was interviewed on the news, and was asked point blank if he thought Biden had some cognitive issues. Jackson was a good one to ask, as he knew Biden when Joe was Veep. Jackson then laid the bombshell. He said not only is Biden unfit to serve currently, he was unfit when he was a candidate. Ronny Jackson has the street cred to tell the "emperor he was not wearing any clothes". Bottom line? Joe Biden has lost a mile or so of track upstairs since he was Veep. That is coming from one of his former doctors.

I know, I know. Many are wondering since Biden is this far gone, why in the world don't we just "Amendment 25" him? Many, including myself, know the real answer. Like, who is in the on-deck circle behind Biden. That is enough to scare the pants off of anybody. Now that Biden has made Jimmy Carter look good, all we need now is for a President Kamala to make Biden look good. It would be the end of everything as we know it.

Personally, I want Biden in office at least through November. I want to see the look on his face, and the word salad coming out of his mouth, when the sky falls in on the Democrat Party. The best thing Biden could say once the dust settles and he sees his beloved party in ruin, is simply this - I DID THAT!

   

 

 

The coming occupation

"Screw these Russians. I am tired of us being doormats, while Russian invaders take what they want in Europe. We have seen this movie before in the 1930's and 1940's - we don't want to see it again."

Is this what the "New World Order" is going to look like? If you want something, you just take it? Might equals right? Meanwhile, while the UN has their undies all tied up in knots because it is summer and hot outside, Russia is taking advantage of "no cops on the beat". As such, they are getting ready to occupy part of Ukraine. Why? Because they want to. Because they can.

Actually, the reason that Sergei Lavrov gave for this war was kind of a knee slapper. If I may paraphrase what Lavrov said, Russia's intent was never to occupy Ukraine. But with the advent of the American supplied HIMARS missile system, Russia MUST occupy some southern territory to protect their Russian sympathizers in Donetsk and Luhansk. The effective range on those darn HIMARS rockets is just too far! What a crock!

What we really need right now, if to have a President who can address the United Nations. A President who can tell the UN that THIS WILL NOT STAND! If the world sits back and lets Russia annex part of a neighboring country, what is next? This invasion is partly due to our apathy when Russia annexed Crimea. If we let this stand, what is next? The rest of Ukraine? Poland? Finland? Germany? Us?

The President should then give the United Nations an ultimatum. If the UN does NOTHING about this naked aggression in Ukraine, then the US will pull out of the UN. Not only pull out, but take back our land in which the UN building rests. They can relocated the UN to Moscow, since the UN is now a socialist organization, and is so cowed by the Russians. 

We cannot let President Zelenskyy be the only leader in Europe who has testicular fortitude. Rumor now has it the US is thinking about giving Ukraine some of our more modern jets. Our President should tell Russia if they occupy anything in Ukraine, we will supply Ukrainian forces with F-22 and F-35 jets. Try that on for size, Putin!

Screw these Russians. I am tired of us being doormats, while Russian invaders take what they want in Europe. We have seen this movie before in the 1930's and 1940's - we don't want to see it again.

 

🔥This climate thing - again🔥

"The weather guessers are saying it will be hot for the rest of July. Now there is a news item."

Not that I am a soothsayer, but last spring I knew this would happen. I knew it would get hot in July, maybe set records, and some folks might perish. Happens every year. In the summer, it gets hot. It really gets hot down in Texas and Arizona. Back many years ago, I had a teammate in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I needed to visit in the summer time. It was hot, hot. Same when I had a customer in Tucson. Went down in the summer time. Thought I was going to roast. My point? It is always hot in the south and southwest in the summer time.

Rumor has it, Slo Joe is madder than a wet hen at Joe Manchin. Manchin will not abide with Biden's desire to have climate legislation. Thus, Biden might be declaring a "Climate Emergency". What does that really mean? Stay tuned - it could be bad for our pocket books.

The other day, Pete Butt, the boy wonder, was asked how having all these EVs would affect our grid. Using all that brainpower he received while being a Rhodes Scholar, he was ready to field any question. A Congressman asked about the load a charging EV would put on the grid. He said the charging of an EV takes 25 times as much power as a refrigerator, or 4 times as much as an air conditioner. In other words, these "green" cars are not so "green" on our electrical grid.

Mayor Pete leaned back, and with that smug look on his face, he said, "Of course our grid is not ready for that kind of pull. We need a new grid for tomorrow's cars." I could not believe he said that! Many of us have been bellyaching about our grid, ever since the 1980's. And nothing has been done! Right now, it is estimated that to fix and replace our grid, so it is robust, smart and redundant, would cost over $1T, take 10 years to complete. And, we would need a ton of national will, which we are very short of right now.

By the way, our "Climate Czar", John Kerry is a climate hypocrite. But most of us already knew that. On the news this morning, it was reported that Kerry has flown so much on his private jet since taking this climate job under Biden, he has put over 300 metric tons of carbon in the air. He has been using one of the jets his rich wife owns in her private jet business - "The Flying Squirrel". No - I am not making this up.

The weather guessers are saying it will be hot for the rest of July. Now there is a news item. Ever since my wife and I have been retired, on hot days we get our outside stuff done in the morning. In the afternoon, we lay low in the cool confines of the house. In August, when things start to cool a bit, normal summer activities will resume. 

One more thing. If Biden does use executive powers to declare a "Climate Emergency", the very large red wave coming in November, will just get larger. 

    

No to Russia; No to China

"First, last and always government - it is national defense. No more Mr. Nice Guy with these two bad apples. It is time for us to be the US of A once again."

I have had it with both the Bear and the Dragon. They are both bad actors. And for reasons which are beyond me, we are complacent with some of what they are doing. We should dig our heals in firmly, and say not only NO to each of them, but also HELL NO! We need a total divorce, especially from China. Why in the world we are letting them buy our land, our businesses, our technology is beyond me. They are thieves. Always have been. Not to be trusted. And Russia is corrupt. More corrupt than Hunter Biden.

Could someone please explain to me why it is alright for China be allowed to buy land right outside of one of our very important Air Force Bases in North Dakota? Like, 30 miles away? Most normal people, when they heard of this, could not believe it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH US? And to allow them to buy one of our largest packing companies? Why would we let China gain control of our food processors? Why would let China manufacture most of our meds? Again, what is wrong with us?

As for Russia, they really need a national reclama. Putin needs to go (and NOW), and Russia needs to retreat from Ukraine. Once that happens, Russia needs to pay war reparations to Ukraine. Until that happens, Russia will be a rogue nation. A rogue nation who only can sell dirty oil to the world, and threaten other nations with nukes. 

This is the worst time in recent history not to have a strong President. But we don't. We have a weak President who is part of a corrupt family. How will this end? Unknown, but I am very worried. I think both Putin and Xi play Biden like a fiddle. Plus - Biden is so tone deaf, he has crippled our economy (to be green), while China has gone to town making stuff and buying stuff. Plus, China is on a path to have a Navy which will match ours.

And because Biden quit being in the oil business, the remaining oil producers (like Russia) are making a King's ransom selling their product. Where is all that money going? To Putin, the Oligarchs, and Russia's war machine.

America needs to wake up, and wake up soon. We are in a whole world of hurt right now, and still we are focused on the wrong things. Forget the abortion ruling, forget Jan 6th, forget the "greenies", and think only national defense. First, last and always government - it is national defense. No more Mr. Nice Guy with these two bad apples. It is time for us to be the US of A once again. MAGA!    

Trying to make sense of nonsense

Our President just returned from Saudi Arabia to "beg" for more oil production. What? Wait - I thought he vowed to kill fossil fuels. What up? The Saudis kind of laughed old Joe off. Said they would try and up their production from 12M barrels a day, to 13. But it would take time. And by the way, our oil is "cleaner". But who cares? Joe is scared to death right now, higher oil prices will cause a red tsunami the size of a mountain. But by the same token, he does not want to disappoint the "greenies" by drilling more in this country. Bottom line? Old Joe is in a box canyon. He is in a real pickle.

This week is going to be a scorcher in much of the country. Is it the fault of the American fossil fuel industry? Maybe - a bit. Or maybe not at all. Is it the fault of the Russian war on Ukraine? With all those fires and explosions? Maybe. Is it the fault of the Saudis? OPEC? China? Don't know. But I do know this - our fossil fuels may be responsible to a small degree, but NOTHING like China is doing to the environment. But who cares? So long as we punish the American people.

Punishing the American people for "man-made global warming" makes as much sense as punishing gun owners for the faults of the criminals. What is my solution to our fossil fuel issue? Put things back to where they were during Trump. We can come up with a "mutual suffering" plan, once the rest of the world is all in. Right now, we look like chumps. China is sailing along, fat, dumb and happy, as America tetters on the verge of recession - or worse.

I know, I know. This sounds like nonsense. We are up on the North Shore. All hi-way driving. My truck gets good mileage on highway driving. That being said, it cost me $82.25 to fill up this morning for the drive home. That is outrageous. But Slo Joe keeps reminding us the cost of gas is coming down. How much so? Like if your doctor told you to lose 100 pounds, and you end up losing 3 pounds. You tell your doctor your are losing weight. He probably would not agree with that.

Why is this Administration so clueless? On the news last week, it was reported that the average amount of time anyone in Biden's Administration have spent in the business world is 1.5 years. That is terrible. It also explains a lot. Instead of hiring skilled managers, Biden loaded up with lawyers and idealogues. Social warriors. Idiots. The result of which, is very plain for all to see.

If Biden were smart and brave, he would start drilling like crazy. It would curb our coming recession, and maybe blunt the coming global slow down. But Biden and his handlers are neither smart nor brave. So we are stuck. We are stuck trying to make sense out of the nonsense. Oh, joy.

   

Is war coming?

"I am all for using our best stuff if we are at war with an invading country. If we are being invaded. But this war is somewhat proxy right now. And soon, Russia will not stand for proxy - if NATO wants in, bring it." 

What has started with Russia amassing troops on the border of a neighboring country, has developed into a full scale invasion of that country. Not just army against army, but invading army against innocent citizens. With that, this war is morphing into a proxy war of sorts. Even though NATO is not directly involved, many types of arms have been brought into the country from NATO countries, to help the Ukrainian Army. And just recently, we have found out that Iran and China might be sending in sophisticated arms to help Russia. And Belarus might be sending more troops. Worried yet? Maybe we should be. 

I read an article recently which said this area of the world is such a tinderbox right now, it will almost be a miracle if it does not explode. It will not take much. Sending our ultra sophisticated HIMARS missile system to Ukraine might be a bridge too far for Putin. So far, the HIMARS has lived up to its billing. It is a VERY effective weapon on the battlefield. 

Having a gaggle of NATO ships in the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea is not helping things either. All it would take is one mistake, one slip of judgement, and this could escalate into a full bore shooting match. Conventional could become non-conventional in a New York minute. And then what? Will there be a dividing up of the world into two sides? NATO and SEATO on one side, with Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran on the other side? This could turn ugly very, very fast.

I am all for using our best stuff if we are at war with an invading country. If we are being invaded. But this war is somewhat proxy right now. And soon, Russia will not stand for proxy - if NATO wants in, bring it. 

Unless cooler heads prevail in Russia, and remove Putin from power so this war can be throttled down, we will stay at the brink. Nothing good will come out of this war if it continues. Nothing, what-so-ever. 

Sitting next to a gold mine

Failure to act on our water woes is not an option. Water, the new gold, cannot be ignored. It must be managed. It must be planned for. It must be manufactured or diverted. Time is not our friend. For a country to be great, fresh, potable water must be available to everyone.   

Years ago, I remember hearing some salty old dude say the most interesting thing. "One day, a glass of good pure water will be more valuable than a gold coin." Ya, right - most people thought. Just the rambling of an older gent, who might have spent too much time in the sun. But hold on just for a minute. This was years before the worst drought in 1,200 years started to grip the desert southwest..

In the pictures above, are two very famous lakes in the United States. Maybe even the world. The first is Lake Mead. It is dying a slow death. Why? It was built to handle the runoff from the mountains, via the Colorado River. But this mega-drought has proven to be too much for this once fine lake. If this drought persists, and many scientists believe it will, Lake Mead will soon become just a fraction of what it once was. Certainly not enough to keep the deserts in Arizona and Nevada green. 

The other picture is one of Lake Superior. The greatest of all the Great Lakes. It is the largest freshwater lake in the world, and it holds 10% of the world's surface fresh water. Lake Superior, unlike Lake Mead, is not dying. It is thriving. Sitting on the north shore of Lake Superior (like I am now) can be a surreal experience. Where it might be 85 degrees in the Twin Cities, it might only be in the low sixties up by the lake. It is cool, it is refreshing, it is majestic, it is gorgeous. And - with the amount of fresh water it contains - is is a goldmine. 

Some people from drier climates both from inside this country and outside of our borders, have wondered how easy or hard it would be to take some of the fresh water contained in the Great Lakes. In a thirsty world, these five jewels would be a wonderful prize indeed. But this water is not for sharing. It has its own ecosystem. There are other ways to obtain water when the rains stop. But those methods require engineering process, vast financial reserves, and time. Most of all however, those methods require a national will. 

I visited Lake Mead when I was a boy. It was big, blue and huge! It was a sight to behold. I also visited (many times), Lake Superior. It was also big, blue and huge. The difference is, that today Lake Superior still looks the same. Lake Mead does not. If the good folks in the desert southwest want to stay living in the desert southwest, they need to do something - and fast.

A man for one reason

There really is one main reason a person is President of the United States. I know, I know. They all promise a chicken in every pot, and usually end up delivering some kind of turkey instead. But the main job of a President, is to keep his (or her), people safe and protected. Period. Yes, there are secondary reasons also - like paving the road, to allow American ingenuity and innovation to flourish. And to do that, first involves the main principal of health care workers - "first do no harm". Having an inflation rate of 9.1%, due to NOT paving the road for American businesses - is the result of doing a lot of harm.

Dare I say this? Joe Biden, has not kept this nation safe. We are now expecting up to 3 million illegals to cross our southern border. Most of whom, we know NOTHING about. No vetting, no shots, no skills, no nothing. We just had a 10 year old girl raped by an illegal immigrant in Ohio. How? There are many bad apples in with this wave of 3 million people.

In addition, we have so much fentanyl in our country right now (most of which has been smuggled over the southern border), some woman picked up a dollar bill lying in the street recently, and almost died. Why? It had trace amounts of fentanyl on it. Yes, it is that deadly.

How about war? After the Afghanistan debacle, we have shown both our friends and enemies we know how to turn tail and run. Russia has become emboldened and is ready to set the world on fire. Same with China. Meanwhile, the man who suppose to be keeping us safe, if trying to figure out if our tanks can run on electricity. Whereas Russia is showing us its teeth in Ukraine, China is quietly buying up our farmland. Why? You tell me. The latest purchase is in ND, right outside of an AFB. What is our President doing while this is happening? Nappy, nap time.

In my 72 years on this planet, I have never, ever, seen anything like this. Our great country is being taken apart, brick by brick. And who is protecting us? Nobody. In fact, all Biden wants to do is disarm us, while allowing blue city DAs letting perps out on the street, to violate again.

But Biden is evil. To do what he has done to America, is plain wrong. What is keeping Congress from pulling an Article 25 on him and kicking him to the curb? His trump card. His Veep. And that makes our bad situation even worse.  

Who owns what anymore?

"If we ever decide that nobody should own anything anymore, we will have arrived at socialist nirvana. We will be a communist society. History has shown that communist societies do not end up well. In fact, very poorly. People end up with no money, no guns, no rights, no freedom, no liberty." 

I overpaid on my taxes. Many of us did. How do I know? The size of the surplus. It is huge. That is our money. How do I know? Depends on who you ask. If you ask the statists who are left leaning socialist faction of the Democrat Party, the money belongs to them. To do with as they wish. However, if you ask the citizens who own the money in the surplus - it is theirs.

Here is a perfect example of how this works. A liberal friend of mine had a typical response to the taxing of seniors on social security. He is against it. Why? In his opinion, many retirees don't need the money. That is a canned response from those on the left. They love to tell the rest of us, how much is enough. Whereas, many citizens could use the boost by not having social security immorally taxed by the state, those on the left love to dictate that we don't need that boost.

Wait - what? How about this for a solution. If those on the left think that seniors should not have social security taxed, they have the option to turn down the benefit. In fact, they can opt never to collect social security. Let someone else have it. And if they get it, pay 100% tax on it. That is their right. My right however, is to NOT have social security taxed by the state. Period.

This is how blue states end up losing people and revenue. That's right. That's fact. Over taxing. Telling the owners of money, they no longer own it. And as we know, that is, those who have studied American history, private ownership is very important to us. We don't want someone else's money, we want to earn our own. Why? Taking someone else's money is immoral. It is theft. Remember the Boston Tea Party? That was also about theft - taxation without representation.

I would tell my kids when they were growing up, "All men (women), are born free. Someone only needs to take that freedom away from them." In this country, freedom is everything. We protect freedom. We serve in the military to protect other's freedom. Some have given their lives to protect freedoms. 

Who owns what anymore? We should own property which we have bought or inherited. We should own money which we have earned. Case closed. Point made.  

Why this one matters...

Why does it matter? Is it because Biden is going to stop first in Israel? Joe Biden really needs that shot in the arm. Why? He is slightly more popular in Israel, than he is in America. He needs that upper. And he will really need that before going to Saudi Arabia. That visit is going to be a tough one. Why? Now it gets interesting.

Joe Biden cannot go over to Saudi Arabia acting like a bull in a china shop. He needs to tread lightly. First off, let's forget the begging for oil bit. Will he do it? Sure, but it will be inconsequential compared to the real reason he is going over there. And the real reason is huge.

Love him or hate him, for the real reason this trip is taking place - Donald Trump could handle it much better. How do I know? Trump is a deal maker. And the Saudis love him. Biden? Meh...

Ready for this? It has not been reported much in the press. We need an "iron gate" in the Middle East to contain the soon to be nuked up, Iranians. We are going to attempt to get the friendly states in the Middle East to develop a coalition - like an Arabian NATO. Why? NATO has proven to be a "burr in the saddle" to Russia. We need something like NATO in the Middle East to be a "burr in the saddle" to Iran.

I would hope if an agreement can be struck, it would have an Article 5 proviso like NATO has. "An attack on one, is an attack on all". ICYMI, Iran's leadership is corrupt and evil. They enslave their population, and act as a rogue state in the region. Once they have nukes, they will act like a rogue state in the entire world. We can't stop the nuclear train which was set in motion under Obama, but we can try to contain it. How? With a friendly coalition in the Middle East. That is why this trip really matters.

The interesting thing, is everyone thought it would be Donald Trump who could mess things up overseas. Sorry - never happened. But Biden? Jill and the Easter Bunny might need to be guiding Joe away from any verbal pitfalls.

This deal matters. It is huge. How will it end? Right now this is a blank slate. This is Biden's chance to have something on the positive side of the ledger. This one is worth paying attention to. 

 

Begging for oil

"The good news? The midterms are only a few months away. We can then start to erase this national nightmare. We can get back to being normal Americans. Putting America first. Having cheaper gasoline. Lower inflation. Cheaper food. Less war." 

This is the month. Our aged President, who for some reason HATES United States oil, is going to Saudi Arabia, BEGGING for them to pump more oil. Why Saudi? Because they have a lot of oil under foot. Not as much as we do, but who cares? Slo Joe made a promise to the minions that he would KILL our fossil fuel industry - why? Who knows. In any event, his poll numbers are dropping faster than rain in a thunderstorm, and the price of gasoline is a major factor in that plunge. 

What else is wrong with this trip to Saudi Arabia besides begging for oil? For us to beg anyone for oil, is like Elon Musk begging anyone for money. But here is the answer to the "what else is wrong with this Saudi trip" - Jamal Khashoggi. Remember him? His is a Saudi who was assassinated in Turkey. 

So, why then are the libs in this country so up in arms about his death? Even if it were true that a Saudi Prince had this Saudi citizen killed in another country, why should we care? Because he was a journalist. That is holy ground for liberals. PLUS - he worked at the Wapo - and was a "legal resident" of this country while doing so.

When Slo Joe was running for office, he not only told us he would KILL our oil industry - he also said he would make "pariahs" out of the Saudis. Really? How is that working Joe? When you talk to the Prince with cup in hand, are you going to call him a "pariah"? Or just pretend that Khashoggi killing never happened. Actually, most normal citizens are much more curious about the Saudi's entanglement (if any) in 9/11 (and Saudi Wahhabism) than the killing of a Saudi citizen. Just saying.

This begging trip might get worse. It is also rumored that Slo Joe is going begging to Venezuela also. But wait - Venezuela is a very corrupt country. Why go there? Slo Joe does not have to use Texas crude or North Dakota petrol. Whereas we have not only the largest supply of oil, also the cleanest way to extract it. And ditto that for natural gas. But in the topsy turvy world of "sippy cup Joe" (thanks Katie!), this makes sense. Not to the rest of us, but it does to him and his base.

The good news? The midterms are only a few months away. We can then start to erase this national nightmare. We can get back to being normal Americans. Putting America first. Having cheaper gasoline. Lower inflation. Cheaper food. Less war. 

Patience folks. The end is in sight. There is light at the end of the tunnel. And that light is powered by American energy.  

    

Who owns the Moon?

"I can just see it right now. The feckless and worthless UN, will have to draw up a new charter which will have some teeth in it. Specially define that the Moon (and anything else up there), is not for sale. It can not be captured or conquered."

Bill Nelson, the current head of NASA, has some heads turning right now. Especially in China. In fact, China is out and out pissed at NASA. Why? NASA is making innuendos that once China gets some of their own on the Moon, China might claim ownership. But..but..they can't do that! What about the Outer Space treaty of 1967? Good question.

The Outer Space Treaty of 1967 specifically states that no nation shall claim ownership of the Moon, other planets, or their Moons. Okay - what about mining rights? What about sharing the same location on the Moon? Who mediates? How is it mediated? And what if China and or its partner Russia, does claim ownership of all, or part of the Moon? That trespassers will be blown out of the sky. Would that result in our first "star wars"?

One of the biggest dreams of many Star Trek fans, was that mankind would "grow up" and start acting like a species, instead of a group of tribal factions. Like, can't we all just get along? I can think of nothing worse, than to have every journey into space, be accompanied by armed members of our new Space Force. I mean, we have already had a preview of how crappy things can get, when the Russians threatened to "abandon" one of our astronauts on the ISS. Even though that might have been a bit of Russian humor, nobody down here was laughing.

About as much good as our current UN charter. How is that working out in Ukraine?

Just something else to ponder right now. What we thought would be easy, might not be so much right now. I guess mankind is not ready to make the giant leap forward into collegial relationships in outer space. Maybe we need to start here first. Hear that Mr. Putin? We need to stop acting like Klingons, and more like Earthlings are supposed to act.  

  

North, to Alaska (and not Russia!)

"Our position on Russia remains the same. Nothing good will come out of invading Ukraine. And even less good will come out of invading Poland or Finland. Then if Russia ever invades Alaska, it will be Katie bar the door." 

Excuse me. You said what? You think you should take Alaska back, as it is part of Russia? Sure, why not. And while we are at it, lets tell the French they can have the Louisiana Purchase back for what we paid for it - $15,000,000. But the Russians have no plan to give us the $7,200,000 which we paid them for Alaska back in 1867. Nope. They want Alaska as reparations, for the economic sanctions we imposed on them over the war in Ukraine (and Crimea).

I suppose we should feel honored. I mean, the Russians have threatened Poland, Finland, and whomever else in NATO has Putin's ire. The fact he has not threatened to invade one of our sovereign states, we should wear like a badge of honor. What is next? Hawaii? Our mainland? I can hardly type right now, as I am shaking so hard.

What some military experts might be asking is this - once Ukraine is over, will Russia have anything punch left in his military? From what reports are, he is getting his butt handed to him. Not that Russia is losing, but this war of attrition is taking its toll. In any event, even if Russia made a move on Finland or Poland, Putin might find some stiff resistance.

It is not just NATO right now, which might be testing Putin's temper. On the news yesterday, it was reported the number of countries which are supplying material or humanitarian support to Ukraine is now 50. That is a whole lot of countries for Putin to threaten. Or, like he wants to do with Alaska - invade and conquer.

Eielson AFB in Alaska is bristling with F-35, 5th generation combat jets. In addition, Joint Base Elmendorf -Richardson has two squadrons of F-22 jets. In other words, Alaska will not just lay down and let Russia take it. But maybe Russia already knows this. It was just the vodka talking, when Russia said they wanted to invade Alaska. 

Our position on Russia remains the same. Nothing good will come out of invading Ukraine. And even less good will come out of invading Poland or Finland. Then if Russia ever invades Alaska, it will be Katie bar the door. 

So Vlad, start your cocktail hour early. Go visit your Dacha, and enjoy the scenery. Your days of taking Russia down this road to ruin are coming to an end. When the end happens, very few tears will be shed.

Floyd, all over again...

"Minneapolis has gone from the city of Mary Tyler Moore, to a toxic brew in a cesspool of lawlessness. Until big money generators threaten to leave, the mayhem will continue." 

Got up this morning and turned on the local news. Mostly to see the weather for the day. However, the lead story on the news was the mayhem (maybe riot), which took place on the evening of July 4th on Boom Island. What was it? Thugs. Lots and lots of thugs, shooting people and using fireworks as weapons. Oh, joy. And this ladies and gentlemen, is yet another reason why most would rather stick their finger down their throat, then go into urban Twin Cities at night.

Mayor Frey was interviewed on the news. He had the same "deer in the headlights" look he had after the Floyd incident. In fact, so many bad things have happened in Minneapolis since he took over, we might have to change his name to Mayor "Fray" instead. He lateraled the ball over to his new police chief. "We need to hire more police officers", she said. Really? From where? Who do you think would want to work in this town without pity? 

By the way, do any of these misfits who were shooting fireworks at other people have ANY idea at all, how much damage they can do? I guess they don't care, as they were also shooting guns at each other. And why is that? We want to be more like Chicago. Or Milwaukee. Or Baltimore. At one time, the great city of Minneapolis could look to other cities and collectively shake its head. Now Minneapolis is just one of the bunch. 

By the way, did you know that 70 Kia automobiles were stolen in Minneapolis in only two weeks? Some stolen, others carjacked. When is this going to change? When the big players, the big ticket folks start to threaten the city by leaving. Like whom? Like - the Twins. The Timberwolves. The Vikings. Target. Ameriprise. And on and on and on.

Minneapolis has gone from the city of Mary Tyler Moore, to a toxic brew in a cesspool of lawlessness. Until big money generators threaten to leave, the mayhem will continue. 

 

The breaking of America

"America is eating itself up, while the world explodes. If ever this world needed a sane country, capable of restoring order - it is now." 

Is America broken? According to the New York Post it is. Also other lesser known publications are saying it is. And (this was a real shocker), just under 40% polled, are now proud to be an American. That is down from over 60% just a few years ago. Not proud to be an American? What gives with that? I mean, we just celebrated our Independence Day. There was quite a bit of red, white and blue on display where I was located. 

Back to the question at hand. Is America broken? Our immigration policy sure is broken. Not the legal one - that one works fine, if followed. But our new policy of "catch and release" and "got aways", has tarnished our country. Flooded us with people from all over. People who are not vetted. People who may or may not have skills we need. People who may be sick (Covid or something worse). People who may be on the terrorist watch list. How many people are we talking about? Maybe 2 million since Biden's new policy started. 

Who is buying up all our farmland, what for what purpose? Like, why are we letting China buy our land. WE NEED OUR FARMLAND TO FEED US, AS WELL AS OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD. Bill Gates is buying up land. Bill Gates? What the heck for? What does he need all that land for? And why are so many food processors going off line? For a multitude of reasons? Who is looking into this? Congress? Nope. All they have is this slovenly love affair with January 6th. Meanwhile, the thousands of crimes from the real insurrection, which happened immediately after the George Floyd incident - go uninvestigated and unpunished.

How about our nation's energy? How are we doing there? Terrible. We have gone from energy independence to groveling and begging enemy states for more of their dirty oil. But there is a deep dark secret which the Administration and the MSM are not telling us. We are cutting off our noses in spite of our faces. We are killing our fossil fuel industry for "green energy", which is not yet ready for prime time. How so? We don't have the raw materials, nor the connections to make all the batteries required to power EVs. We don't have the electrical power needed, to charge everyone's EVs at once. We still make over 6,000 products with oil - and need oil for that purpose as well as others. Artificially causing the price of oil to skyrocket, has been the main driver for our high inflation.

Here is one more dirty secret which is not getting much notice these days. Our debt. The cost to service our debt. We have been spoiled with interest rates hovering around zero. It has allowed many citizens to refinance, and thereby use their house as an ATM machine. But those days are (sadly) - over. Now we have a 30+ trillion dollar debt which needs to be serviced. With rates which are NOT even close to zero anymore. How bad is it? Recession or maybe depression bad.

Finally, how about Russia? Remember? "Russia, Russia, Russia"? The country which has been living rent free in our heads for years now? As we have been eating our own, Russia has been busy making new instruments of destruction. Their new Zircon anti-ship missiles are something to take notice of. These scram-jet technology missiles, are capable of hitting 7,000 mph. So fast, as they are closing in on an American carrier, the plasma on the skin of the missiles make it hard for our defenses to track and destroy. Bottom line? If push came to shove, our carriers might be vulnerable to an attack by Zircon missiles. 

America is eating itself up, while the world explodes. If ever this world needed a sane country, capable of restoring order - it is now. But how about us? And how are we (America) doing right now? About as well a Humpty Dumpty after falling off the wall. And maybe nobody can put this Humpty Dumpty back together again.
