"Makers and Takers" - take 2018

"So if you want to keep this dichotomy going between the "makers" and the "takers" - vote for Tim Walz. If you want the same crappy results out of our failed education system - vote for Tim Walz."

It kind of hurts me to say this. It really does. But the Democrats have done their jobs very well in Minnesota. And the Red Team? They kind of stood around and let them do it to them. Well - sort of. The Red Team, not too many years ago, was not that red. If fact, somewhat purple. So our state RINO's (and yes, we had legions of them), allowed the Democrats to turn many people in our state into mind numbed robots - to "takers". And how did they do that? By allowing them to take a free ride - in other words, pay zero taxes.

Why is that important? Why is it important to pay taxes? When almost 50% of the people pay zero tax, how can you get them excited about tax relief? Or tax increases? Bottom line? You can't. And whom do we have to thank for this? Your friendly DFL (and RINO's). They have made financial addicts out of many of our brethren in this state.

So, this election coming up, just like the recent ones, have been about the "makers" and the "takers". That is the battle ground. The "takers" love Tim Walz. And why not? He is promising the kitchen sink and everything in it. Since the "takers" have no "skin in the game", so what? Who cares? Free two years of higher education, free health care, free toasters, but who cares? The hated 1% will pay for all this.

One minor problem Mr. Walz. And I might have to quote Lady Thatcher on this one. "Socialism works just fine until you run out of other people's money". Look at the statistics. The demographic flow in Minnesota right now, show the the money and seniors going moving out. And more "takers" (many foreign), coming in. Whoops! The math does not work very well on this one!

Jeff Johnson is NOT like Tim Walz. He DOES NOT believe in zero sum economics. He is more like a Ronald Reagan guy. A rising tide lifts all boats. In Minnesota, Jeff wants all to kick in, and all to receive. The bounties that this state produces will benefit all. Through proper management and right sizing, we will have better education for less. Better healthcare for less. Common sense immigration and refugee settlement. Better and more productive (and profitable) agriculture. And a BWCA which is rich in minerals, yet maintains its pristine quality for all to enjoy.

Finally, as much as Jeff likes Scott Walker, Jeff is itching to put up our own sign on the border which says, "Welcome to Minnesota - open for business". We are done with being in second place, or lower. Jeff will help make us red. But to do that, we need to help - big time.

This November, we need to have 1,300,000 Red Team votes. I think Jeff might be able to squeak by on 1,000,000 votes - but that is not enough. We need 1.3M to "run the table". What does that mean? It means, turning the state RED.

So if you want to keep this dichotomy going between the "makers" and the "takers" - vote for Tim Walz. If you want the same crappy results out of our failed education system - vote for Tim Walz. However - if you want a new Minnesota, one with hope and promise for all - vote Jeff Johnson. This is the year - this is the choice. We must make the RIGHT ONE!
