What happened to the aliens?

"So, where are the aliens? Why have they not landed on the front lawn of the White House and asked to be taken to our leader? Maybe, they don't want to meet who lives in the White House."

Earlier this week, it was reported by our once reliable press, that the aliens were coming. Their source - a "Time Traveler", they had somehow come across. On Thursday, the aliens were supposed to invade, take 8,000 of us to another planet, and then destroy the rest of us, along with the Earth. Move over Rod Serling!

Was I scared when I heard this? More relieved. Why? Yesterday, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. If the aliens came on Thursday, I could skip the rest of my uncomfortable "cleanse", and then not have to do the colonoscopy on Friday! As it turns out, the aliens did not come, and I had my colonoscopy, as scheduled.

So, where are the aliens? Why have they not landed on the front lawn of the White House and asked to be taken to our leader? Maybe, they don't want to meet who lives in the White House. But there is something odd going on in our skies. More and more scientists are doubting that aliens from another galaxy exist to visit here. If if light speed travel can sometime be possible, the time it would take us just to get to our closest star system in the Milky Way, would take over 4 years. To get to another galaxy? Forgetaboutit!

Then the question begs to be asked, what are all these orbs and different things we are seeing in our skies? Are they time travelers? Inter-dimension travelers? Chinese super weapons? Or are they over active imaginations? And why would they be playing coy with us? Playing hide and seek? If their purpose was to only surveil us like we were lab rats, they are doing a lousy job. Why? We see them almost daily, somewhere in the world.

In Shakespeare's Hamlet, a famous line by Hamlet is, "The are more things in Heaven and Earth Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy". Thru words even today. What do we know about our cosmos and how we fit in? Not much.

We do however, know enough about our world to figure out how to kill each other. How to kill every man, woman and child on this planet in less than a day. Maybe it is for that reason alone, that aliens (should they exist), have decided to leave us alone. We are too dangerous - too toxic. I mean, if we can exterminate each other in less than a day, just think what we could do to someone (something) from outside our species. That would give any alien pause to ponder.

  1. Right now, "take us to your leader" would present a real problem for us. We seem to be at least one short.
