"People don't like living under tyranny. Been that way since our country was founded. People in Canada have received a good dose of tyranny also. Seems young Mr. Castro has worn out his welcome with many."
It seems like the yearning for a 51st state is heating up again. You mean the Democrats clamoring to have either Washington DC or Puerto Rico becoming a state? So that Democrats will rule our country forever? Have you lost your mind, Bird? Nope. Not talking about DC nor Puerto Rico. I am talking about another place, full of folks who have the American spirit, yet are not Americans. I am talking about Alberta, Canada.
Wait - what? Are you suggesting that we go to war with Canada, and after we defeat them, we take the province of Alberta for our own? Nope. The separatist movement of Alberta has had it with Fidel's kid. They want out of Canada. How bad is it living under Justin Trudeau? Bad enough they would trade it for living under him for living under Biden. WOW! Things must really be bad up there!
But why would we want Alberta to be our 51st state? Hello? Have you ever been up there? I have. Without a doubt, with all the beauty that Canada contains, most of it lies in Alberta (in my opinion). It is the Canadian Rockies at their best. Edmonton, Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise, and so forth. I could go on and on. Lots of land, great people. And they want to be a part of us.
Why do freedom loving people want to be rid of the tyrants they live under? I don't know - why do more and more people in Minnesota want to be part of the Dakotas? Could it be Tim the Commie Walz? Why do more and more people in western Oregon and Washington state want to be part of Idaho? Could it be Jay Inslee and Tina Kotek? Why is New York hemorrhaging people to Florida? Could it be Kathy Hochul? And California - why are so many moving to Texas? Could it be Gavin Newsom?
People don't like living under tyranny. Been that way since our country was founded. People in Canada have received a good dose of tyranny also. Seems young Mr. Castro has worn out his welcome with many. My vote? Would I take Alberta as part of our great Union? In a heartbeat. Or, (dare I say this with Hochul being the governor) - in a New York minute.
