A war like no other

"If war with the United States as well as Israel is what they want, war is what they will get. But they should learn the lesson that Japan learned in WWII after bombing Pearl Harbor - 'I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.' And we have a terrible resolve."   

No, I am not talking about the civil war which exists in the Republican House right now. Speaking of which, the team is scheduled to be back to work tomorrow. Maybe to pick a new speaker? Lord knows, we really need one now. With this new and unexpected war growing in the Middle East, we need a fully functioning government. Everybody has made their point by now, so let's kiss and make up. This new war could have legs which reach across the Atlantic.

Some might say this war is none of our business. We need to stay far, far away from it. Really? If we had a different president right now, here what would happen. Since nine of our innocent Americans have been killed so far, and an unknown number have been taken hostage, we need a president who will tell Hamas the facts of life. You either return (unharmed) the American hostages, or what our military will do to Gaza, will make what the Israelis are going to do to Gaza, look like child's play. 

But we don't have a different president. We have Joe Biden, from the appeasement branch of the Obama/Biden clan. We will just offer to pay a ransom. If they kill our hostages, as a rescue would be next to impossible, well, that is just the way it goes. 

This is the way I see it. After paying $6B in ransom to get our five hostages back from Iran, the bar has been set. Need some cash? Capture Americans. Don't get me wrong - we want our people back. So do the Israelis. But the way Hamas has them stashed in deep tunnels; this might be a bridge too far. Then what is the next best thing?

Tell Hamas the same thing that Israel is telling them right now. We will grind Gaza into dust. We will hunt down anybody who even knows how to spell Hamas and dispense with them. Just like we went after the bad guys after 9/11, we will team with Israel and hunt down each - and - every - one - of - these - dirtbags.

How could we get the attention of both Hamas and Hezbollah? I just read an article the other day which talked about our MOAB (Mother of All Bomb) weapons. We still have a few in our inventory, and don't know what to do with them. I would drop one on Gaza. That would get their attention even more so that our bunker buster bombs.

Where is this war going to go? How will it end? Israel will not be defeated. That is an iron clad fact. The people who started this mess (including Iran), have opened up Pandora's Box. By killing and taking our people, they have dragged us into this fray.
