Fungible money and asymmetric warfare

Things in Israel are going from bad to worse. This attack, which some are equating to a "bum's rush", has been so effective, many are calling this Israel's "9/11". First it was Hamas attacking from the south from Gaza. Now this morning, it was reported that Hezbollah is going to join the fray by attacking from the north at Golan Heights. Thousands of rockets have rained down on Israel. Meanwhile, these animals who represent Hamas, are slaughtering people like animals. Those who are not killed, are taken hostage.

Saudi Arabia (surprise) is blaming Israel for this attack. Russia (no surprise) is blaming Israel for this attack. Quatar (surprise) is blaming Israel for this attack. Ukraine (believe it or not), is pledging support to Israel. Meanwhile, as the report of carnage reaches the Prime Minister's desk, Bibi has pledged "revenge like never before" on Hamas. Any location which has fired rockets at Israel will be "reduced to rubble" by Israeli forces.

Lot of cross talk on the news yesterday. Overwhelmingly, people are blaming the Biden Administration for giving Iran $6B a couple of weeks ago. Supporters of Biden are saying that had nothing to do with this attack. Non-supporters of the President are saying that is BS - this money is fungible. That is, even though Iran may not have "cashed the check as yet", the fact the money is coming, probably emboldened them to spend ahead of the curve. 

The type of warfare being waged by the blood-thirsty terrorists has taken asymmetric warfare to a new low. Hamas came over the border, through the fence, like hungry dogs after meat. Many holes where cut in the fence. By the time (the attack was early in the day) Israel knew what was going on, much of the damage had already been done. Now there are border towns which are under control of the terrorists.

Now that both Hamas and Hezbollah are engaged in this battle, I look for Iran to stick its fingers in also. If that happens, my view is the United States will be involved to some degree. This event yesterday, might have been a game changer for us all. Or this all might be a part of God's master plan. In any event, please pray for Israel. Once again, they are on the precipice.
