Our intel, which is almost never wrong (joke), is telling us now that Iran is going to launch a significant strike against Israel this weekend. Why? Because Israel has recently turned a general or two of the Iran's troublesome IRGC into dust. Why? The IRGC was probably behind the October 7th Hamas attack. And they are behind the Houthi missile and drone attacks in the Red Sea. Plus, they are the juice behind the Hezbollah missile attacks in northern Israel. In the eyes of Israel, taking out some senior leadership of the IRGC was worth the time, effort and risk.
Sleepy Joe has decided to send a message to Iran by bolstering up our forces in the area. Then he uttered the one word which strikes fear in the hearts of all our foes. When asked by the press what we would do should Iran strike Israel, Slow Joe put his lips together and whispered, "Don't". And what does that mean? It means the Obama/Biden foreign policy will be to send Iran a nasty letter should they attack. What will our military do? Not much. That is, unless Iran decides to take a run at one of our ships at the same time. Should that happen, we will show Iran what a real Navy acts like when angry.
When GW Bush decided to invade Iraq, it was to get rid of a very bad man, who was doing some very bad things in Iraq. Getting rid of Saddam Hussien was for the "greater good". And it was for a while. But time marched on, and the evil lure of Iran has taken hold in Iraq. Now to keep Iraq from slipping back into chaos, as well as to keep Iran from disrupting the apple cart in the Middle East, it might be time to do to Iran what Bush did to Iraq many years ago. Take out the leadership for the "greater good". Why? These agents of evil in Iran will not stop going after Israel until the job is done. Until Israel is destroyed. And now (thanks to Obama and Kerry), Iran is within inches of having a nuke.
I don't want this to sound hawkish, but part of me hopes that Iran does make a foolish move towards Israel. This desire of Iran's to eliminate Israel is not going to stop. Once Iran has a nuke, things in that neighborhood are going to get very, very dangerous. Plus, as a reminder - Israel also has nukes. Things could get really bad, real fast. For Israel to take out the IRGC before Iran's first nuke is ready, could be a real blessing towards a longer peace. Would the loss of life be worth it? Compared to the aftermath of a nuclear bomb, I think it would be.
