An old subject...

"Was Tim outraged that 1/4 billion taxpayer dollars were stolen by this group of immigrant grifters? Oh no, my good people - Timmy did not want to lose any Somali political support."

Last night, as my wife and I were watching the Jesse Watters show, Jesse did a segment on the Feeding the Future scam which happened in Minnesota a short time ago. Truthfully, there had been so much happening, I almost forgot about it. Why was this important to bring up again? Because of whom was the CEO of the state at the time of the crime. Taxing Timmy Walz. Was Tim outraged that 1/4 billion taxpayer dollars were stolen by this group of immigrant grifters? Oh no, my good people - Timmy did not want to lose any Somali political support.

It is interesting how the Star Tribune really under reported this story. Like, what is the latest? Is the government going after all the money which was squandered? Crickets. But Jesse did have a guest on last night to talk about the Tim Walz that America is just now starting to know. My old friend Donna Bergstrom. She ran with Jeff Johnson as the Lt. Gov. candidate for the GOP. Jesse wanted to know Donna's perspective on Tim Walz. Donna was happy to oblige, and she did not hold back.

After that segment was over, my wife and I talked about our time with Donna. During the campaign, we became close to her. Got to know her and her son very well. In fact, one evening when our state fair was in session, my wife and I took Donna and our state senator Michele Benson) at the time to an event at a church in south Minneapolis. Yes, we drove into the belly of the beast.

I had notified Jeff Johnson in advance and told him I was taking his Lt. Gov. there. He was cool with it. It was an event (vigil) to honor those who died from drugs during the past year. Many Native Americans are affected by our drug problem in the city. Donna (who is Native American) knew some of the folks attending. It was an interesting evening, Pow Wow and all. Even though we sat in front of the Minneapolis Chief of Police, I was a nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. I was very relieved when we left and got Donna and Michele back to where they needed to be.

Anyhow, back to Feeding our Future. This was a scandal which happened right under Timmy's nose. Either he was asleep at the wheel, or he just did not care. Like most Democrats, taxpayer money is like play money. If it slips through the cracks, just tax some more. Why does "Coach" Walz and Giggles get along so well? They are both highly incompetent. Period. Full stop.

The age of ideas, or the idea of age

"So far, no ideas put forward. Only talking smack about Trump and Vance. Reagan always said you beat the other guy by having better ideas. We still have better ideas than the Democrats. But beware! The fog of BS is about to descend on all of us. We will get an earful of January 6th crapola, and not much else."

"Sharp as a tack, he is!" Or, "He has not lost a step". Or my favorite, "His staff can hardly keep up with him". That was then, and this is now. Now all the crap and gaslighting we heard about Joe Biden has stopped. Nancy Pelosi convinced Joe he was too old and needed to step down off the re-election campaign trail. And now we understand that just about everyone, including his Veep, knew Biden was a few fries short of a Happy Meal. But now Biden has semi-retired to his vacation beach home, and age is no longer an issue. Or is it?

Already the drums of agism are starting to beat once again. Against Kamala? She is only 59. And her running mate Tim Walz is one year older at 60. Is this age thing being thrown their way? Nope. It is directed towards Donald Trump. Trump who recently turned 78, is in better shape than I am in at 74. In fact, most 78-year-old men I know are way behind Trump in energy or mental acuity. But no. Now that the DNC has bulldozed Biden out of the race, the lapdog media is going to use Trump's age like a cudgel against him.

What about Vance? Way too young. Oh my gosh! This young squirt is only 39 years old! That is Kennedy like! We can't have a guy that young manning the nuclear suitcase should something bad happen to Trump! Are you crazy?

And so it starts. One of our guys is too old, and the other one is too young. Whereas the Democrats have two people who are in the "goldilocks" age - 60. They both may be dumber than doorknobs and supreme gas lighters, but the age thing is perfect.

Can we set this age thing apart from our discussion and simply talk about issues. My issue with Joe Biden for the past 50 years has always been his nutty ideas. And he is a phony. And a supreme liar. It just so happened his nutty ideas, phony persona, and Walter Middy lives got worse as he aged. But still, I was primarily interested in his ideas (or lack thereof).

I feel the same way about Harris and Walz. So far, no ideas put forward. Only talking smack about Trump and Vance. Reagan always said you beat the other guy by having better ideas. We still have better ideas than the Democrats. But beware! The fog of BS is about to descend on all of us. We will get an earful of January 6th crapola, and not much else. Trump on the other hand, is going to address the past four years, and how it has crippled this great nation.

For those who do not believe the media is in bed with the DNC, go grab some popcorn, get comfortable and watch. You will see live in and in color why nobody believes the media anymore. Their credibility is somewhere under a gutter. Soon, the "War on Trump" will begin (again). And his age might be one of the first bullets fired.

The shiny new penny stage...

"Get ready Timmy, the exam is coming. I know, I know. You have very thin skinned. Well tough toenails to that one. Your record sucks and bleeds failure. Soon your shiny new luster will fade away, and the crowds will see what they have. A pig in a poke."

All I have to say is this - enjoy it, Timmy. This is the fun stage for you. And boy, are you enjoying it! We saw you yesterday with Kamala, at the astroturf rallies, almost running up on stage, pumping your fists, oh my! Introducing, Tim Walz! The shiny new penny from Minnesota! The man most in the country have not heard of. That is, unless you live in Minnesota and have had tyrant Timmy's boot on your economic neck. No, this is Timmy's time in the sun. And if he were smart, he would be enjoying every second of it. Why? Coming up is the political colonoscopy. Better known as the anal exam.

Taking a deep dive into this carpetbagger's background is going to be fun. Keep in mind, the other side is already trying to come up with some dirt on JD Vance. Like his time as a Marine. Or his time in Iraq. Or going to Yale law school. Or growing up poor. What have they come up with so far? Mostly crickets. Or lies. Or gaslighting. I have looked at JD's background, and I am impressed. He is a quality guy. I am also familiar with Tim Walz's background. Those of us who live in this state, already know his numerous warts and bruises. Those who do not live in Minnesota, will soon find out.

Walz grew up Catholic, and then became an ELCA Lutheran. One might think with that background he would be death on abortions. Nope. As the National Catholic Register has reported, "Walz holds extreme views on many issues, many of which are in direct opposition to church teaching." The Register sites abortion and transgender issues as examples. What does all this mean? People who are Catholics or evangelicals should find Walz's extreme positions repugnant.

Some of Tim Walz's army "buddies" are sending good old Sargent Walz a political frag to celebrate his coming out party. Many in Tim's unit had a chance to witness him up close and personal for decades. Some were not impressed. Some actually had no time for the good Sargent. And this stunt of leaving his unit high and dry prior to going to Iraq - that sour note still is stuck in many craws.

Get ready Timmy, the exam is coming. I know, I know. You have very thin skinned. Well tough toenails to that one. Your record sucks and bleeds failure. Soon your shiny new luster will fade away, and the crowds will see what they have. A pig in a poke. The "prairie populist" who hates the rocks and cows of southern Minnesota. Might I even say a wolf in sheep's clothing? Or is that too harsh too soon.

Rocks, cows and word salad

"Truthfully, as a lifelong Minnesotan I have never really cared for Tim Walz. He is a phony. An opportunist. Maybe after Walz gets exposed and gutted in the national spotlight, it will be the end of his career as a money grabber. He can take his schtick and move back to Nebraska."

The carpetbagger from Nebraska has now made the big time. Tim Walz, who at one time excoriated Minnesota for only being a land of "rocks and cows", now has caught the eye of some of the most extreme socialists in the country. As such, this authoritarian statist, has put Minnesota on the map as not the land of "Minnesota Nice", but rather the land of "Minnesota Nuts", for electing this moron twice as governor.

Here is the good thing however, about having Taxing Timmy in the national spotlight. It also puts Minnesota in the spotlight. All the warts and bruises from the Floyd riots to the transgender assignment laws, to the abortion laws, to our failed education system, to recreational weed, to the sixth highest tax in the union, and so forth. It has shown how the blue wave in 2022, which gave us every fruit and nut in the state serving in our legislature, crafted bills so extreme, only a commie would sign them. And sign them, Walz did.

I put a post out yesterday saying this pick of Walz, as well as the selection of Harris, might have been planned by the powers that be. This blue team does not have a snowballs chance of beating Trump and Vance. In other words - they are a throw away team. They want to keep their "blue chip" team (like Josh Shapiro) sharp and untouched for the 2028 election. In that election, if might just be Shapiro against Vance. That would be a fun one.

BTW - did you notice the second member of the "Squad" went down in flames yesterday? No more Cori Bush. Shame. What is the message here? After four years of inflation, crime, open borders and mayhem, the American public is ready for the adults to be back in charge. No more having our great nation look and act like a gulag run by apparatchiks. And after two nut balls like Biden/Harris - we want and need to get back to normal.

Truthfully, as a lifelong Minnesotan I have never really cared for Tim Walz. He is a phony. An opportunist. Maybe after Walz gets exposed and gutted in the national spotlight, it will be the end of his career as a money grabber. He can take his schtick and move back to Nebraska.

As for me and mine? We want Minnesota to be red again. We want Minnesota to be normal again. Most of all, we want Minnesota to be Godly again.

Is this cruise control, or automatic pilot?

"Our country right now is a plane flying on automatic pilot. A car on cruise control. If there is somebody in charge, most don't know who it is."

What is the most asked question today by the smart people? Is it wondering who Kamala's Veep will be? Nope. Will it be wondering if we are headed into a recession? No, but closer. How about what is going on in the Middle East. Are we headed into a much wider war with Iran? Now that question has a lot of traction, especially after the Americans were wounded yesterday in Iraq. But that is still not the right question.

The correct answer is, who in the "bleep" is running our country right now? Biden is on his retirement sabbatical on that beach in Delaware. Why is he there? By popular demand. The country does not want grandpa driving the car anymore, so we took the keys away from him. But wait - is he not still the president? Yep. Has Kamala taken over? Nope. Then, if the ship hits the sand on just about anything, who is flying this plane? Who is driving this car? Who is running the country? Anybody?

We do have enough leadership, via winken, (Tony) Blinken and nod, to continue to chastise Israel. Don't do too much if the rockets start to fly. Be restrained. Even though we have moved a ton of assets over to the war zone and repositioned some troops, who will give the green light to do something if push comes to shove? Anybody?

Our country right now is a plane flying on automatic pilot. A car on cruise control. If there is somebody in charge, most don't know who it is. Maybe the solution would be to hire Donald Trump as a fill in president until the real election comes. He is not afraid of tough choices. He does not back down to bullies. Unlike Obama, who would write a nasty letter to bad guys, unlike Biden who only says "don't" to bad guys, and unlike Blinken who only chastises our allies - Trump speak softly and carries a big stick. And like Teddy Rosevelt, Trump will use that big stick if he needs to.

Meanwhile, back on the beach, Joe Biden is about ready for nappy time. With all that is going on in the world, Joe could care less. His anger is directed only towards one person in the world - and that is another American named Donald Trump. And Joe Biden is technically still our president. Let that fact sink in. We are in deep do-do. Maybe it is time to head to the bunker.

The $100,000 hurdle

"Kamala Harris is clueless on what to do. Except, to follow Joe Biden. If we get four more years of Harris following the Obama/Biden script - we are done for. That is not hyperbole - that is fact."

Those of us living in this economy know one thing for certain. Regardless of how much gaslighting we are getting from the government, as well as their lap dog media, it is rough and tough out there. One of my favorite memes is some Democrat gaslighting a person on the street, telling her how many jobs have been created by this administration. With a smile on her face, she responds, "I know. I have three of them and still can't make ends meet." BINGO! It is not the number of jobs created (even though most are rebounded jobs from the pandemic), it is the quality of those jobs.

We all know one thing. The telltale signs are out there. We know what a good economy looks and feels like. And this is not one of them. Want the latest stat which will blow you away? The city of Minneapolis. If you want to buy a modest house in that run down city. It was reported this morning on the news, the cost of ownership for that modest house in Minneapolis requires an income of $100,000. Have you seen what many of the houses in Minneapolis look like? Even with Biden juicing the minimum wage up to $20/hour, that is only $40,000/year.

To survive in this economy, many are resorting to the one-way street called consumer debt. I mean why not? The government has racked up $35T in national debt. The often-fooled stock market is finally starting to get the hint. The economy is built on smoke and mirrors. Last week the economy started to tank. Now the Fed might need to come in for the rescue. This week will really tell the tale of the tape.

More and more economists are saying the same thing now. Drill baby, drill! Why? Most who made it past third grade knows that the world runs on energy. To keep your foot on the neck of coal and gas is beyond foolish. Build the XL Pipeline. Open up the Artic. Open up the Duluth Shield for needed minerals. Become an energy exporter once again. Build nukes of all sizes, all over the country.

The price of energy goes down, the war machine in Russia slows down. The terror funding in Iran slows down. Our inflation slows down. The price of a gallon of gas goes down. And our electricity costs go down. The cost to build a house slows down. Get the picture? The more we drill, it is all upside.

Kamala Harris is clueless on what to do. Except, to follow Joe Biden. If we get four more years of Harris following the Obama/Biden script - we are done for. That is not hyperbole - that is fact. And if you live in Minneapolis and want to buy an average house there, you better work three of those part time jobs which Biden has created. You will need them to get your income up to $100,000.

The summer of storms...

"The storm started out mild, and before too long, it got wild. Wind and rain (but no hail). It was raining so hard, we could not even hear the TV, even on high volume. It was at that point I thought my decision to come up over the weekend was foolish."

This week, up at the campground, there were two very stormy nights and some days with just rain. Oh, did I mention it was very hot also? Storm # 1 happened on Wednesday night. We were still at home as we had some home items to take care off. When we got up to the campground yesterday, our pop-up gazebo looked like a pinata. One of my grill covers has blown off, and I never did find it. Who knows? It might be in Oz. Our neighbors in the next trailer told us the wind got so strong, they got in the car and drove down to the hazardous weather safe spaces (the shower rooms). My wife and I were glad we picked this week to spend more time at home. Yikes!

I had heard the forecast for this weekend. Stormy on Saturday night. We decided to go up anyhow, as the saying goes, "lightening does not strike twice in the same spot". Boy were we wrong!

Saturday was windy, hot and sticky. I was trying to get some prep done for some hardscaping I was going to do on the BBQ area. As dinner time approached, the winds died down a bit, and the skies grew darker to the west. My wife looked at the radar and trouble was brewing just over Lake Mille Lacs. I lit the coals for our steaks and tried to "baton down the hatches" (so to speak).

The steaks were not quite as done as I would have liked, but I was out of time. Now it was very dark, and thunder and lightning were in the area. I had everything covered but the golf cart, and just made it inside before it hit. The storm started out mild, and before too long, it got wild. Wind and rain (but no hail). It was raining so hard, we could not even hear the TV, even on high volume. It was at that point I thought my decision to come up over the weekend was foolish. By 10pm the wind and rain stopped, and the nighttime was decent sleeping weather.

In any event, we came home a bit early. Why? In this summer of non-stop rain, most yards look like rain forests. The weather guy this morning said this - if you have any yard work to do, do it today.

Tomorrow will be non-stop rain from morning until night. So, I will be a grass cutter this afternoon. On the bright side, it has been years since I have seen the crops look this good. But for RV camping? Thumbs down.
