And who is the skunk in the woodpile?

This story is moving so fast, I had started this article four days ago. I have already had to re-write it twice with two major revisions. I figured I better get this out this afternoon before it changed again. This story indeed has many moving parts.  

First off, a question. How many of us were warned by our parents when growing up that one very important fact of life? "Be careful for what you wish for. You might just end up getting it." I am thinking that thought is going through Democrats minds. If not now, it will be soon.

Here is the score of the game. Many rocks have been turned over to find the skunk in the woodpile in the Trump Transition Team. The one who made "the deal" with the Russians. The one who helped tip the election away from the very deserving Hillary Clinton and give it to the impostor Donald Trump. So far all they have in their nets is a possible connection with General Flynn.

In addition, were there some business dealings between Paul Manifort and the Russians prior to the election? Maybe. Did it influence the election? Probably not. Did the Russians "swing" the election just so their "pet" Donald Trump could be elected? Absolutely not. No love there. However, they did meddle enough to make things as hard as possible for Hillary. Even less love between Hillary and Putin. But, paybacks are a you know what. Putin is still blaming Hillary for interfering in Russian internal affairs. 

This is where it gets a bit delicious. When Devon Nunes went to the White House, he had found something interesting he needed to disclose. He did find he might have the skunk in the woodpile - only it was a different woodpile than the Democrats were looking in. He might have stumbled onto part of the Obama Deep State which was conducting illegal surveillance on Team Trump before the election. Plus he might have the person who unmasked the transition team members that were under surveillance. The name Susan (Benghazi) Rice keeps popping up.  

We know that there are still some "sleeper" Obama folks who are laying landmines in the road for team Trump. It sucks, but it happens. Those folks will be flushed out as the Trump team continues to fill out and grow. However the unmasking of names of people who were illegally under surveillance is a different story. It can put an operative in a staring role in Orange is the New Black.

The Deep State of Obama is part of the swamp that folks in flyover land can't stand. It is the swamp Trump promised to fix. We want our government to get on with tax cuts, get SCOTUS filled out, get rid of ObamaCare, and fix our regulatory mess. Time to get to work folks.
