The CCP - pandemic and climate villains extraordinaire!

"Does China care? Not a wit. Does China feel bad about the pandemic they caused? Maybe - or maybe they are only sorry they got caught before their 'big event'. What is the 'big event'? We need to get into Wuhan to find out. And quickly."   

This week, there is a G7 meeting in the UK. One of the things discussed will be Joe Biden's pet rock - climate change. By the way, in case anyone is not paying attention, the US and the EU have much improving carbon emission numbers. Like, anywhere from 7 to 17 percent better in 2020 than in 2019. What gives? Mostly improved due to the pandemic. But, wait. How can our numbers be better, and China's numbers are predicted to be catastrophic by 2030? No simple explanation, but some very important markers are evident.

According to a report on NBC News last month, the pandemic did have a minor bright side. It made our air noticeably cleaner. When the world shut down (so to speak), we did not emit as many pollutants into the air. Except for China (who somehow escaped the brunt of the pandemic which they caused), most of the world traveled less, and produced less. But here is the kicker. We learned much from the year in which we were locked down. Like, how to work remotely, where a job would allow it. That meant less travel to and from the office. Less travel, means less pollution, and less wasted time sitting in traffic.

China pollutes more than the US and EU combined. Plus - with their Belt and Road Initiative, they expect to hit peak emissions by 2030. What? Wait - I thought the Paris Accord, which Biden loves, has the world reducing emissions, before we fry to death. Well, sort of. China was given a pass, so they could continue on this massive expansion. But now, the World Economic Forum thinks that was a huge mistake. They want China to hit their peak by 2025 instead. In other words, for the next four years, while Biden tries to put us back in the stone age, China has an open pass to go great guns (literally and figuratively).

By the way, the World Economic Forum also said, if China goes until 2030 to hit its peak, our increase in global temperature could be .5 degrees (C) higher. According to the Forum, that would portend bad things for the rest of the world. More droughts and more dead coral. But who cares? We can suffer, so long as China gets theirs. 

Not to change subjects, but this is important to bring up. Besides China being a global climate wrecker, their pandemic numbers were beyond stunning. Like, for a country of 1.44 billion people, they somehow only had (a reported) death toll of less than 5,000. The US on the other hand, with a population of 331 million people, lost almost 600,000 to the pandemic. Since the pandemic originated in China, how did they get away with just a brush while the rest of us had a kick in the solar plexus? That means, besides wrecking the climate, China is also responsible for millions of dead and suffering worldwide. That is, except for themselves. What say you, Joe Biden? Or are you just too owned by China to say anything?

In this country, everything is getting cleaner every year. To help ourselves continue to get cleaner air, as well as to give employees a benefit, keep the practice of remote office working where practicable. But remember, while we are getting cleaner, while China raises the global temperature.
