"I have much more to say about this topic, but I will stop for now. For those wanted to see Donald Trump fail and to have him replaced, remember one fact of life. For every action, there is a reaction."
Donald Trump is now over 100. Not in years, silly - in his first term. What has he gotten right? What wrong? What is there left to do? Let's peel back the onion skin and take a look at a few items:
- The road has been a bit bumpy at times. Why? Is Donald Trump a bad man? I don't believe so. His criminal record is clean. Is he a dumb man? His track record shows otherwise. He is after all, a billionaire. Is he experienced in the nuances of government? Nope - but we knew that when we elected him. The country was ready for an iconoclast instead of a career politician. Is he to be taken lightly? Probably not. The road to his success is littered with those (figuratively) who took him lightly and thought they could "best" him.
- "Trump is meeting with all the people he should be avoiding." Really? Let's just look at Russia right now. First off, he is not "no drama Obama". Under Obama, our relationship with the Russians went from "just okay" to "nil heard". And Putin used that self imposed cone of silence to really go to town. Bigger military, expansionism, you name it. When Trump came into office, he knew the "Clinton reset button" had only reset us closer to the cliff. He wants to try a different tact with the Russians. And because of that, the Never Trump clan, the Democrats, and the bed wetting press are having a fit. According to the narrative on the Left, Trump is nothing more than a Russian mole, as well as a stooge for Putin.
- Trump has been left with many "turds in the punch bowl". Like what one may ask? North Korea, whom we let their idle hands become the devil's workshop. While Obama played golf, the Norks have built up quite a nuclear arsenal. Now they are the bully of the WestPac - maybe the match set to start WW III. And the Iran deal. How stupid were we to let this group of thugs off the hook? Now that they are flush with cash and we are turning a blind eye to their mischief making, while another North Korea type problem is developing. One more (although there are many) thing - ObamaCare. This is the unfixable mess that BHO has left for the country. No matter what Trump tries to do to fix this, it will be the wrong thing. The "die in" protests by the Left will continue for years.
Now that President Trump's first 100 days is past, one might wonder if he can make 200. My betting is he does, and then much further. The withering criticism he is receiving from the Left and their lap dog press cronies do not deter Donald Trump. The only thing I will fault with in his first 100 days is he does not understand the subtleties of Washington.
But most of us is "realville" don't care about that. The anti-Trump crowd will continue to focus all their fire power on getting Trump to either resign or be impeached. Yes the 25th Amendment is even being brought out of the closet and dusted off. Trump's response? He is heading over to Israel to meet with our ally which Obama snubbed for eight years. He is going to try and fix yet another unfixable problem (Israel/Palestine) which Obama left us with.
I have much more to say about this topic, but I will stop for now. For those who want to see Donald Trump fail and to have him replaced, remember one fact of life. For every action there is a reaction. Plus - remember the natural law of unintended consequences. Be careful before you peer to far down that rabbit hole. You might not like what is on the bottom.
